Henry. Unstoppable sucking machine.
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->Henry has always been the best hoover in my eyes and I've used many over the years. However I admit that they are cumbersome and they do deliberately throw themselves over in a tantrum, grab the corners of walls to avoid their workload and talk shit about you behind your back all while having a very smug look on their stupid red faces. That being said I would also reccomend miele. Also very good quality but much less personality.
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->I ditched my cordless Shark for a Henry Hoover. BEST decision I ever made! There was so much debris in my carpets that the Shark repeatedly missed. In a single use on the Henry, my carpets were their original colour again! ?? (I have children, they destroy carpet on a daily basis!) The Henry never loses suction, can actually hoover under the sofa, finds all the dirt in the nooks and cranies of the room. My parents got their Henry in the early 2000's and it still runs as perfectly as day 1! Get the Henry!
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->Our Henry is well over 20 years old now. Indestructible.
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->Henry. They're amazing little hoovers. They store away well. Powerful. And so cute! I have a Henry. I've also had a James. They last forever too.
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->The Sharks are cosplaying. More like a Silverfish. That's a good price for the Henry. One was about to get thrown out - had it over 10 years easy. I thought let me just take it apart and have a look... The contacts were dirty.. Cleaned them, cleaned it out & working perfectly again.
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->Hands down the Henry. I have had two sharks, a Dyson and a Hoover upright, all bagless. My Henry Pet has out lasted them all and Neumatic have great customer service and are a UK made product.
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? [Hetty](https://www.bol.com/nl/p/numatic-180-hetty-eco-stofzuiger-accessoire-kit-as1-620w/9300000013268210?referrer=socialshare_pdp_androidapp)
r/nederlands Over welke stofzuiger ben jij tevreden? ->Ive got the 15 with the laser, and agree its really there for convenience I can quickly grab it whilst Im waiting for the coffee machine to heat up or the kettle to boil and give the living room / lounge a quick once over, etc It takes a bit of maintaining, so Ive got a couple of filters so I can swap out when one needs washing, and youve gotta take it apart occasionally and clean out the canister and vents inside with a brush, but it works and has enough suction to do a decent job. Ive got a good old Henry for the deep cleans, has way more suction but is much more heavy to carry around and means pulling out the cable and plugging it in
r/VacuumCleaners Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->If you choose the Henry be prepared to smash it off every corner in your house as you have multiple tug of wars with him as he will refuse just to bloody unhook and follow you. Would still choose the Henry though!
r/AskUK Which hoover would you choose and why? ->Henry do not clean well. They have a long hose and are indestructible, but terrible at actually cleaning. Bad emissions too.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →Shark every time. Henry are indestructible but they are huge, bulky and frankly every one Ive used has been bang average
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry does now come in a model similar to the shark
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →My point was the Henry falls down the stairs a bit too well, and is a heavy old lump.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Vacuums. Hoover is a brand of vacuum cleaner. I'm a long-term user of a Dyson V7 for the quick jobs and a Henry for the larger areas.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Prices in Europe are more reasonable for Miele, Sebo and the Henry. Miele S series, Sebo K series and Henry would be the models I'ld be looking at.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →Henry- heads etc are easy to replace if you need to. You can swap out the filter for odour neutralising. Theres a pet head. You could go for the direct animal model. George is a wet and dry hoover, and we have had one, but these days we have Henry and a Bessel carpet cleaner specifically for washing the carpets. Worth stating that most hoovers will fail to completely pull hairs up and so its useful to also have a rubber brush, or a window squidgee. You will be supposed at how much hair those things pull up
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →My favorites are Fantom Toz kapani and Electrolux T8 bagless (wich is the only multi cyclonic canister vacuum i know Electrolux ever made) And the one i hate is (Let's just say don't like) Roventa compact power bagless. (it's so bulky and also the hose makes noises in every move also the head is impossible to pull forward/backwards because you can't remove the hairs that tangle to the wheel) Oh and i think henry is the only vacuum i would buy as a bagged vacuum.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →For a house with carpets, I would always go with an upright with a roller. So much better for fluffing up carpets. For hard floors, a Henry would be perfect. To counter the Henry, Screwfix ow brand titan wet and dry vacuums are amazing! so cheap, but so much suction. Have a couple for my workshop and dont want to say bad things about Henry.. but I think its better than him.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →I have a shark, blocks all the time, and is average as best. I have a Henry for the outdoor office, and it never fails. That said, it's not as flexible and light as the shark.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →I left my Henry outside once - he must've misbehaved. Downpour overnight. Gave him a week to dry off, cleaned the wheels and works like new. I can attest they are indestructible
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry. The most workiest mcworkface of them all. Ubiquitous in homes to offices to building sites but never at the tip
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry is the GOAT but then he goes and does this every 10mins. All together now- "fucks sake Henry!" https://preview.redd.it/f2j14dzkrs1g1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fe68236cbb63a1a4df86386187db96797002ef9
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Shark. It's lighter, and much easier to use around the house. Our Henry is forever getting caught on something as we drag it around.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Probably not the response youre looking for but I have 1 of each! The Henry thrives doing almost any task (except rounding corners) and the Shark is so much better for manoeuvrability and detailing work. Who wants to use a Henry on the stairs?!
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →I had this exact discussion with my wife, she wanted a shark I wanted a Henry we got a shark, we're currently on our second shark and the henry I use at work which is frequently tossed into the back of a work van and has to hoover up all sorts of nefarious unmentionables is chugging along into it's 5th year, it's gonna need some therapy though... I think the Henry I used at my previous job is still working as well, absolute cockeoaches, I admit they are large and clumsy and not ideal for smaller homes though
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →The only correct answer. Millions sold and with very little advertising which is a testament to the brand. Been going for years without needlessly changing the design so you arent stuck with obsolete parts. Easily serviceable with inexpensive spare parts, all of which are readily available directly from Numatic and a decent range of attachments available too. Bought a Dyson cordless when I first moved in but it just felt a bit work shy and complained a lot. Replaced with a Henry and its a trooper. Does everything well with no fuss. Ive used it in the garage. Ive attached it to the mitre saw. Itll ingest sawdust and nails like its nothing. Got one at the shop too, Im sure its been there for at least 15 years and its used at least three times a week. Hasnt seen a bag in years. What a fucking *brilliant* machine.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Had both. Ended up selling the shark and kept Henry
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry. Made in the UK. Buy once, itll last a lifetime. Parts are cheap and readily available.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →My Henry has been battered and ridden like a car by my kid - dropped down the stairs more times then I can count - stuck on door frames and I just tug him around - that guy is indestructible and cleans everything.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry all the way. I remember at uni our old Hoover broke and they replaced it with a brand new Henry. The cleaners actually used to leave their Dyson in our flat and use our Henry in the rest of the block instead because it was so much better
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry because he's cheaper and just look at him! They do be pissing me off when they get stuck and just sit there smiling as you BUT I am yet to be let down by a Henry hoover ? I got a yellow Hettie a few years ago for Christmas of my parents and haven't looked back, she is a badass bitch and I love her! If you read up on Henry hoovers there has been LOADS - I love the fact they made a way to humanise a hoover ??
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Have both here (moved in with the other half and we both had a Hoover lol). The Henry will survive a nuclear blast... The shark however sucks or drags literally everything out of the carpet. I'd personally go with the shark ??
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Dyson are the ones of choice, however, I cannot betray my trusted HENRY hoover. It even has the right name!
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • View on Reddit →You can't destroy a Henry. Even if you do you can get spares and replacements. I have two. One at work and one at home. My only criticism / Henry's down side is storage. Those type of vacuums just don't fit nicely in any space when you have a small house.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Or upside down as he does a 180. We've got both vacuums and the Shark is just way better at using around the house. Henry was good, but now he's been relegated to rubble/car vac.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry gives a good suck for a reasonable price
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →If you have somewhere to store the Henry then okay. My partner has one and it is constantly in the way. Left in the middle of the floor, or hallway. There is one spot in the entire house where it fits without being in the way and it never ends up staying there for long. I despise its jolly little innocent eyes now.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Ohh I would be torn. I have a Henry for the dirty jobs like my DIY as its indistructable. I have my cordelss shark for everyday use and then a Dyson for heavy but non dirty jobs.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Went the othery. Had a shark, constantly had to clean it, replaced filters etc. Henry is a Joe in comparison.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →Henry's are great, only thing shark has on them is the newer ones are cordless
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →The difficulty with Henry's is getting him up and down stairs. Can be lethal if he comes flying down from the top. If you only have one floor or a second vac to do stairs I'd go for Henry.

I built an accessory for my Henry using a cyclone and a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. You buy an extra pipe (nose) for Henry and run the cyclone in the middle. I've hoovered up all sorts, like the crap between 150 year old floorboards, to a room full of plaster that I've chopped off the walls with an SDS. The cyclone and the bucket do a really good job of catching about 99 percent of the big stuff. Gravity and centrifuge. (A bit like the concept of how Dyson came about, but on a 5 gallon scale). I also use it for dust extraction when woodworking. You wouldn't want to carry it from room to room to clean up after the pets. But if you are staying broadly in one spot it's an efficient way to collect a lot of stuff without using hundreds of bags. And it helps save Henry's lungs too.
