I used aftershokz. That became shokz. Def work, worn for hundreds of hours sweating in all conditions. No drama or issues

Shokz openfit air are great. “*only*” 100$, great battery life, great awareness, decent enough qualityMax volume is a little low for them to be my only headphones - they get drowned out by the bus sometimes.  Had a beats pair once upon a time that died the second they got moist for the first time.

I got the open fit. I chose based on reviews on YouTube. Music is loud enough on my runs. I wore them for a half marathon and they stayed on fine and I don't feel them at all. The battery lasted through the whole half and had plenty of battery to spare. I can still wear a hat. When I am running outside I can hear when someone is approaching or if a vehicle is near. I love them and think they are stylish and cute. I got the pink ones and they match my ear skin tone. Downside: it's not as immersive as an experience as in bud ear phones. If I go at a busy time at the gym I can barely hear my music over the machines making the treadmill even harder.

I have both and like both, I find the open fit irritate my ears after awhile due to the way they sit on them. The open fit definitely sound better though.

I've had three pairs of the Openrun minis over the last ten years and used them mainly for running and cycling. I just switched to the Openfits which are over the ear earbuds so they don't have the band in the back. They are so comfortable I can have them in for hours and don't feel them at all.

I have the Shocks with the band and AirPods Pro. I use both. I prefer the AirPods with noise cancellation if I’m running at the gym, and I use the shockz for outdoor runs for safety. I personally don’t notice the band on them at all when I’m running.

So freaking true! I've returned my Shokz Open Air's 4 times. Open Run 1 time. It's so frustrating. I'm thinking about the Open Air 2s. I really like how the neutral colors blends and the ability to really hear ambient noise.

Shokz Openfit/Air. I wear glasses and they feel like they aren't even there. The only reason I know that they are on is that I can hear music in my ears. The battery life is fantastic as well. I'm a bit of a slow runner, and my first marathon time was over 5 hours, and the Shokz lasted the whole time.

Not sure open ear earbuds can successfully cancel noise. I have the Shokz Openfit 2 and Air. I don't have any complaints, except maybe the carrying case is a little bulky compared to my Airpods...

I've owned every iteration of the Open Run (currently have the OpenRun Pro 2 in the regular neck band size). I use them for trail running and have been extremely happy with them. None have failed (even tho I run in the rain in the PNW winter), but as new models become available I upgrade for better sound and give away what I have to a family member. I also own the OpenFit buds and think they have the best sound, but I prefer having the 'hardware' controls on the OpenRun. My one complaint was that the rigid neck band sticks out away from my head and looks stupid. And THEN I discovered that Shokz makes a 'mini' shorter neck band version of the Open Run model. So I have the Open Run 2 Pro Mini in my cart, ready to check out on July 8th when the 25% off sale begins.

i have switched to open air ear buds like aerofit pro and shokz open fit. You lose noise canceling but gain all day comfort for listening to music. My ears don't get sore like with in ear silicone buds If i need noise canceling i just use my headphones

I have the Shokz Open Fit (latest model) and the sound quality is better than my Apple AirPods. I listen to podcasts while running and it’s perfect.

Shokz open ear/over ear. Not a fan of the bone conduction version because I hate having a strap behind my head. Like many others, I used to just wear my AirPods and get in the zone. Unfortunately had a dog sneak up on me once and then was almost hit by a car I didn’t hear coming that blew past a stop sign. Prefer to be alive and in one piece so the “lower quality” sound isn’t an issue. Plus I still think they perform really well.

Shokz open fit (they are not connected in the back). Love them. They are light, they won’t fall off (they hook over each ear) and you can cover your ears. The cover your ears is a big thing for me because I could not do that comfortably with my regular connected Shokz- which are also great. I just wanted to be able to cover my ears in the winter. Edit: words

Man I have been through so many of them, and maybe it's just that my ear is odd but I've been frustrated with how they either fall out or bother me after 30 minutes or so.... until I found one built very differently. At last, I'm happy with the Shokz Openfit, because they wrap around the back of the ear rather than trying to be seated in your ear canal. So maybe give it a try if you like.

Honestly either way you can't go wrong. I think I'm more of a fan of the clip style because I wear glasses. I also use the Huawei free clip. But honestly the shokz openfits are still amazing. I mainly use those for the gym. I also forget I'm wearing them most of the time I'm like the clips.

I’d look at open or semi-open options instead of another sealing bud. The two I’d check first are Beats Fit Pro and Shokz OpenFit. Fit Pro still goes in a bit, but the wing tip is the real win for the gym. It stays locked in way better than most, and because it’s not relying purely on a deep seal, a lot of people with smaller ears find it more tolerable for longer sessions. OpenFit is the opposite approach: it doesn’t seal at all, sits outside the canal, and stays stable while you run without that pressure buildup that makes your ears sore. If you want something that feels even more barely there and you don’t mind sacrificing bass a bit, Sony LinkBuds are also worth a look. They’re great for comfort and awareness, and they don’t do the deep in-ear thing that’s wrecking you now. For iPhone compatibility, all of these are totally fine on AAC, and since you’re using them for workouts more than calls, it’s mostly going to come down to which fit style your ears tolerate. If you can, try the sound tunings at [audiotones.co](http://audiotones.co)

Shokz OpenFit. Because they're actually little speakers, so they sound good, they aren't just trying to vibrate your skull. You still get all the frequencies. Very comfortable since they don't wedge in your ear canal, they sit a little bit in front. And they're a good balance between being able to hear my music and being able to hear around me.

Shockz are on sale for 74.99 right now at Costco. I bought a pair last weekend at Costco and have worn them every day since on my runs and I love them. Obviously, they are not as good as having an earbud directly in your ear, but there’s some guy running around my city grabbing women on the butt while they run so I’d rather be safe and be able to hear someone run up on me.

I use the Shokz Open Fit, the ones that are separate open ear buds, the sound is much better than the open run models that are bone conduction. They still won’t be as good of sound quality or as loud as in ear earbuds they aren’t terrible either.

Shokz are incredibly popular with cyclists and runners for this reason. Can't speak to the ones you referenced but they look very similar to Shokz OpenFit which I have and work great. You can hear your music and your surroundings well simultaneously. Shokz also makes bone conduction headphones which in my experience keeps your ears open better for ambient noise, while sacrificing audio quality/clarity as the sound fires from the side of your face rather than your ear canal.

I have had all 3 shokz open for 1 and 2 and the dot one. The dots call quality was pretty terrible. The openfits are just all around great. Though I find myself reaching for the soundcore aeroclips more and more.

I have found that in-ear headphones with good transparency mode are superior to open ear headphones like the Shokz for cycling (but it depends on your speed). I think the Shokz are great for walking and running but the wind noise on a bike tends to be much louder which necessitates turning the volume up. My airpods don't need the voume turned up near as much and the transparency mode works astonishingly well. Pair that with hearing aid and I can hear some sounds better with the headphones than with nothing when it's windy and I'm biking.
