Would anyone recommend the shokz openfit 2 over the Bose?
r/bose • Bose QC Ultra Open Earbuds Review ->Yeah, I have the open run bone induction headphones. I love them. But sometimes I want a bandless option and I hate in-ear earbuds. I'm thinking hard on pulling the trigger for the new shokz openfit 2. They supposedly improved a lot over the first edition. Thank you for your reply!
r/bose • Bose QC Ultra Open Earbuds Review ->I used aftershokz. That became shokz. Def work, worn for hundreds of hours sweating in all conditions. No drama or issues
r/running • What earbuds do you use while running? ->Shokz OpenFit. Waaaaay better sound than the OpenRun Pro. I have both.
r/ultrarunning • What pods/headphones/buds do you use? ->I run in either AirPods or Shokz OpenFit 2. I run a lot and they are not an issue with sweat.
r/sanantonio • Runners, which headphones? ->I use Shokz Openfit 2. I absolutely love them. Really good sound quality while still being able to hear what's going on around you. They are very secure and super light, I often forget I'm wearing them.
r/beginnerrunning • Earbuds for running – struggling with Bose QC Ultra staying in ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

I love buds that stay outside the ear, no annoying ear pain or falling out. Shokz open fit 2.
r/Earbuds • Struggling to find earbuds that fit my tiny ears that don't cost a fortune. ->I've had three pairs of the Openrun minis over the last ten years and used them mainly for running and cycling. I just switched to the Openfits which are over the ear earbuds so they don't have the band in the back. They are so comfortable I can have them in for hours and don't feel them at all.
r/XXRunning • Shockz OpenFit earbuds? ->I have the Shocks with the band and AirPods Pro. I use both. I prefer the AirPods with noise cancellation if I’m running at the gym, and I use the shockz for outdoor runs for safety. I personally don’t notice the band on them at all when I’m running.
r/XXRunning • Shockz OpenFit earbuds? ->Aftershokz give me a headache pretty quickly and I can't hear much anyway.
r/bikecommuting • Are open-ear earbuds the way to go for bike commuting? ->I NEED to hear these. I’m blown away by the OpenFit 2 sound quality, but want clip buds. Do the OpenDots have the same sound quality? And mic quality?
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →I’d look at open or semi-open options instead of another sealing bud. The two I’d check first are Beats Fit Pro and Shokz OpenFit. Fit Pro still goes in a bit, but the wing tip is the real win for the gym. It stays locked in way better than most, and because it’s not relying purely on a deep seal, a lot of people with smaller ears find it more tolerable for longer sessions. OpenFit is the opposite approach: it doesn’t seal at all, sits outside the canal, and stays stable while you run without that pressure buildup that makes your ears sore. If you want something that feels even more barely there and you don’t mind sacrificing bass a bit, Sony LinkBuds are also worth a look. They’re great for comfort and awareness, and they don’t do the deep in-ear thing that’s wrecking you now. For iPhone compatibility, all of these are totally fine on AAC, and since you’re using them for workouts more than calls, it’s mostly going to come down to which fit style your ears tolerate. If you can, try the sound tunings at [audiotones.co](http://audiotones.co)
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →I've owned every iteration of the Open Run (currently have the OpenRun Pro 2 in the regular neck band size). I use them for trail running and have been extremely happy with them. None have failed (even tho I run in the rain in the PNW winter), but as new models become available I upgrade for better sound and give away what I have to a family member. I also own the OpenFit buds and think they have the best sound, but I prefer having the 'hardware' controls on the OpenRun. My one complaint was that the rigid neck band sticks out away from my head and looks stupid. And THEN I discovered that Shokz makes a 'mini' shorter neck band version of the Open Run model. So I have the Open Run 2 Pro Mini in my cart, ready to check out on July 8th when the 25% off sale begins.
r/trailrunning • View on Reddit →I am very happy with my Shokz Openfit 2+. It´s a normal speaker but it's on the outside of your ear. And quality on calls are really good.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Shokz OpenFit. Because they're actually little speakers, so they sound good, they aren't just trying to vibrate your skull. You still get all the frequencies. Very comfortable since they don't wedge in your ear canal, they sit a little bit in front. And they're a good balance between being able to hear my music and being able to hear around me.
r/trailrunning • View on Reddit →I'm on my third pair of Shokz (I started when they were called Aftershokz) and couldn't be happier with them.
r/running • View on Reddit →I use Shokz Openfit 2. I absolutely love them. Really good sound quality while still being able to hear what's going on around you. They are very secure and super light, I often forget I'm wearing them.
r/beginnerrunning • View on Reddit →I wear Shokz Openfit, they don’t slip at all. The sound is great and you can hear your surroundings too.
r/beginnerrunning • View on Reddit →Are you looking for something over ear specifically? Like a regular set of headphones or are you open to just about anything? I've just been use random earbuds and an old set of gaming headphones, with Bluetooth, but I recently snagged a pair of Shokz Openfit 2 and lemme tell you, they shocked me. They are open earbuds, but they sound very good and are wildly comfortable. Did an elliptical/weight session and they never moved. Plus their design gives you situational awareness, so you don't get hit by a car or eaten by a mountain lion or something. Definitely an option to look into if any of that speaks to you!
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I recommend looking into Shokz OpenFit 2. They are on ear earbuds. The hook will keep them secure and they are very light. Due to the on ear style they barely give any ear fatigue.
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →I just recently upgraded to the Shockz Openfit 2 and I am so impressed! As someone who usually prefers good sound quality in headphones, these have both the incredible Shockz comfort and fit, the sound quality was really solid as well. I tried the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones recently, and the Openfit 2 were significantly better in my opinion.
r/Marathon_Training • View on Reddit →For in ear I love my anker sound core. But for battery life, I love my aftershockz conduction. I have an early version. My partner has the fancy waterproof one.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have found that in-ear headphones with good transparency mode are superior to open ear headphones like the Shokz for cycling (but it depends on your speed). I think the Shokz are great for walking and running but the wind noise on a bike tends to be much louder which necessitates turning the volume up. My airpods don't need the voume turned up near as much and the transparency mode works astonishingly well. Pair that with hearing aid and I can hear some sounds better with the headphones than with nothing when it's windy and I'm biking.
r/bikecommuting • View on Reddit →Also keep in mind because it doesn't create a seal, the bass would be severely lacking compared to ones with silicon tips. Did you try previously changing the tips to different sizes?
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I got the open fit. I chose based on reviews on YouTube. Music is loud enough on my runs. I wore them for a half marathon and they stayed on fine and I don't feel them at all. The battery lasted through the whole half and had plenty of battery to spare. I can still wear a hat. When I am running outside I can hear when someone is approaching or if a vehicle is near. I love them and think they are stylish and cute. I got the pink ones and they match my ear skin tone. Downside: it's not as immersive as an experience as in bud ear phones. If I go at a busy time at the gym I can barely hear my music over the machines making the treadmill even harder.
r/XXRunning • View on Reddit →I like the feel of my Bose Open over the Shokz OpenDots. But for the few bucks less, they compare just fine. I do find myself using my Openfit 2s the most. Just easier to put on and not in the way as others.
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →Aerofit2 bothered my ears, the openfit 2 is fine
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →Shokz ooen fit are the best running headphones I’ve owned. The open runs and open se’s were too big for my head??
r/XXRunning • View on Reddit →I use the Shokz Open Fit, the ones that are separate open ear buds, the sound is much better than the open run models that are bone conduction. They still won’t be as good of sound quality or as loud as in ear earbuds they aren’t terrible either.
r/runna • View on Reddit →Powerbeats pro 2 might be the answer. I use shokz open fit for the outdoors and the gym. No noise canceling but they stay on all day.
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →I'm on my 3rd set of shokz, 1st set were actually Aftershokz. love that I can hear what is going on around me. Audio quality taking a back seat is fine with me but they are honestly not terrible.
r/bicycling • View on Reddit →Shokz OpenFit 2 would be my recommendation. They don’t fit in the ear but sit on the ear. Get pretty loud and very secure when running. They are very comfortable and even no issues laying on them. I would also say look into the opendots but they will be above your $200 after tax, but go for $199 If you have a Best Buy near you, they should have them on display to try as they don’t go in your ear.
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →I totally agree with you. I love my open ear Shokz. I can hear my music and everything around me!
r/BeginnersRunning • View on Reddit →Shockz are on sale for 74.99 right now at Costco. I bought a pair last weekend at Costco and have worn them every day since on my runs and I love them. Obviously, they are not as good as having an earbud directly in your ear, but there’s some guy running around my city grabbing women on the butt while they run so I’d rather be safe and be able to hear someone run up on me.
r/XXRunning • View on Reddit →Open Fit 2-Shokz. Over the ear n still loud. For me the best sounding n best noise cancelling mic
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →i have switched to open air ear buds like aerofit pro and shokz open fit. You lose noise canceling but gain all day comfort for listening to music. My ears don't get sore like with in ear silicone buds If i need noise canceling i just use my headphones
r/GalaxyS23 • View on Reddit →Shockz OpenFit, great when put an about and still need to react to the external world.
r/SteamDeck • View on Reddit →Same here. The OpenFit 2 are incredible. But the clips would be sweet.
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →Man I have been through so many of them, and maybe it's just that my ear is odd but I've been frustrated with how they either fall out or bother me after 30 minutes or so.... until I found one built very differently. At last, I'm happy with the Shokz Openfit, because they wrap around the back of the ear rather than trying to be seated in your ear canal. So maybe give it a try if you like.
r/GooglePixel • View on Reddit →I tried them on sale for $129 USD a couple weeks ago and I thought they were OK, but the slightest ambient noise completely masks lower frequencies even with bass boost enabled. Not really the product’s fault per se, but the design just doesn’t work for exercise in urban environments. Also the soft rubbery part contains BPAs which is really bad, especially given the friction & moisture that they’ll be subjected to.
r/headphones • View on Reddit →Shokz openfit as someone who experienced ruptured eardrum.
r/S24Ultra • View on Reddit →I use several different pairs of shokz. Open run, open fit and open comm. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
r/audible • View on Reddit →I have both and like both, I find the open fit irritate my ears after awhile due to the way they sit on them. The open fit definitely sound better though.
r/ultrarunning • View on Reddit →3 sets, AirPods pro for work and passive sounds to control incoming noises, i work for road maintenance, shokz openfits for home, need to keep my ears aware for kids, and status audio for loud listening sessions, or listening to whole albums
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →My ear shape sounds similar to yours. I first tried the soundcore aeroclip and also the huawei freeclip, but clip-style designs always feel a bit uncomfortable after long use. I recently switched to the shokz openfit 2+, and I found the earhook design fits my ears better and stays very stable. You could try it too if you’re interested, it might open up a whole new world haha.
r/Earbuds • View on Reddit →I can't use any headphones while running that do not have a strap going around my head or my ears. Currently I use Shokz 2 for running because I like that I can hear outside noise with them. They're great and I would recommend them.
r/beginnerrunning • View on Reddit →Best Buy sells Shockz open earbuds. They work really well. You can go test a pair out before purchase. Long life too. :)
r/GalaxyS24Ultra • View on Reddit →Bose Ultra Open are great for minimal footprint. Sound is pretty alright. Abysmal call quality. They do pinch after a while but it doesn’t hurt that much. I’m sure with time they’ll be less noticeable. Shokz open fit 2 are a little more intrusive since they’re over ear hooks instead of clips, but the sound is MILES better. Great sound for open buds, great battery, great call quality. Very comfy. I regularly forget they’re on. My Shokz are my work buds, playing music, taking calls. The Bose stay at home for watching shows and doing class work/exercising.
