I finally bought something off the Google store, super seamless. The earbuds were great. I think they were around $250. Definitely have decent low end bass tones in it. All in all I'd give them a B+

The pixel buds pro are the ones I just picked up. Definitely a great price, durable, practical, I love that Google, basically copied Sony's software, and it's an American company. That's the American way in a sense of taking technology and then creating a business in America. It was the first time I ever used the Google store, it took minutes, shipped fast, was a lovely buying experience; and as the Google store gets bigger and bigger, I'm sure they'll add to their product line. Definitely great overall Price point for a great product that hopefully lasts a while. I think mine are maybe 6 months old, barely used but definitely practical for phone calls temporarily, maybe a webinar, computer use for zoom calls Different colors, nice sleek 3D printing, sinks seamlessly with the phone. I think I had issues with an old Sony over the ear that we're about 350, it seemed they just wouldn't sink or were degenerate with an old MetroPCS Samsung phone I had. I think that's why I got frustrated, I might have damaged them, but luckily I bought him at Best buy and I could just return them as I had the warranty. * The Sony ones I bought for an ex-girlfriend, I thought they were extremely good for the price, I can't reference the sound, maybe check the frequencies, and the actual math data in between the two and find out between the Sony's And the pixel buds, for 75 bucks. What do you get? Are you getting deeper frequencies, maybe deeper bases, so that might be an angle to consider and check if you have the final two.

I got pixel 6 pro and am still using pixel buds pro. Sometimes a little buggy but I'm not done with them yet

Love the descriptive review. I HAVE to ask. How long you been using the PBP2s? I have one as well and I just love the form factor and use transparency more than I thought I would. The only thing I am experiencing is the battery drain on the case. Does your drains quickly as well? Also, are you seeing the other RMA'd issues that other redditors are reporting?

I used to love my pixel buds, bud they randomly decided to do this thing where they connect to things while in the case, so they constantly discharge themselves and are therefore unusable. Still sad about it tbh

Just got the Buds Pro 2 after my Pros 1 died in the dryer. Incredibly disappointed with the audio quality but the fit is a lot better.

I did not like the XM5s personally. They sound good, but the fit did not work well for me and they felt large and like they stuck out too much. Definitely make sure you can return them if you try them and they don't fit well, all our ears are different but I've heard from a lot of people on them that they found them a poor fit. I really liked the Pixel Buds Pro 2. However I'm on my second pair that has developed the same issue the first pair had, which is a throbbing sound in one ear at times (kind of like the sound in a car when you only roll one window down). So I'm concerned about reliability on these and I'm out of warranty now. I have ended up with JBL tour pro 3s which so far I have really liked, good fit and comfortable and good sound. The LCD case is a bit of a gimmick though and I wish I could have gotten the same buds cheaper with a generic case.

I've yet to find anything better than the Buds 2 Pro, been rocking these for more than a year now and they've been very good.

Buds Pro 2 have battery and quality issues. Many people have noted issues. Check cmf subreddit snd fourms

Now this is just my experience. Unless, you bought the pixel 8 Pro on launch day, pixel buds a series, and pixel watch 2. And then for 6 months you could only use the watch and phone together or the watch and the earbuds together but not all three and not the phone and the buds. So there's that. (Multi Point) To be fair, I did wind up with the pixel buds Pro. Those work pretty well other than the left earbud always stays connected to my phone for some reason no matter what I do. And then the right one just dies in the case. But hey whatever they sound great when they work.

My gen 1 pixel buds lasted me about 3 years, and were still going strong right up until I fell asleep with one in and my dog got a hold of it and chewed it to bits! My wife surprised me with the pixel buds pro 2 for my birthday and they do seem really good so far. Hard to get a read on battery life as I tend to only use them a few hours at a time but certainly no complaints so far.

I have the Pixel Buds Pro. I was tempted to upgrade to the Buds Pro 2 when they came out, but there weren't enough differences to justify it.

They can be worth it if you value them. IMO, I can't trust anything less than $100 USD. I've bought a few pairs to try to convince me otherwise but end up going back to my expensive earbuds. The lowest pair I own are the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, JBL Tour Pro 3, Apple Airpods Pro 2, Google Pixel Buds Pro, and Soundscore Liberty 3 Pro. My preferred earbuds are the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra and Sony WF-1000XM5. I want to try more expensive earbuds, but at that point, over the ear are better.

Would be interesting (to me at least) how that chart is based on usage ie from my dozen different buds , for phone calls I'd place my Samsung buds 3 pro at the top followed by Huawei buds (I don't recall if I have the 2s or 3s lol). For music my Technics az100 would come out on top. For working out my pixel buds pro are my pick.

I use Pixel Buds Pro 2 for Mac and my Pixel. They connect to both devices and at any time I play anything on them they work well. I recommend them. I also have a Sony headphones, I can recall the model, but pairing is not easy

Sennheiser momentum 3, pixel buds pro, pixel buds pro 2, Sony XM4 and listened to 5. It's impossible for them to be "terrible" because I hear nothing with them in when I did with all the others. Either you're extra sensitive or have a shit seal with them.

Don't know if they are the best but I love my pixel buds pro2. All I listen to is Audio. The noise cancellation works great but I love the fit most of all. You twist them and they sorta lock in.

As for the comparison, here are the major differences: - Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) - on paper, the Pro 2 buds should have slightly better noise cancelling, but with the buds 2a not being released yet, it remains to be seen how it works in comparison. - Touch controls - you can increase/decrease the volume by swiping forward/back on the buds on the Pro 2 while you can't do that on the buds 2a. The Pro 2 will also have a couple nodding gestures coming soon that the 2a won't have either. - Battery - this is probably the biggest category of differences. The Pro 2 has longer battery life in the actual ear buds (12 hours without ANC & 8 hours with ANC vs 10 hours w/o ANC & 7 hours with ANC) and also adding in the case battery (48 hours w/o ANC & 30 hours w/ANC vs 27 hours w/o ANC & 20 hours w/ANC). The case can also be wirelessly charged on the Pro 2 while the 2a cannot. For a positive on the 2a, it will have a removable and replaceable battery that the Pro 2 doesn't. Unfortunately, the $50 off on the Pro 2 expires before the 2a will be released, which means reviews likely won't be out yet either, so all of the 2a advice is based on the paper specs and no real world knowledge, but hopefully this helps you look at what you value the most in earbuds.

My pro 1, after 2 years of teams calls and music daily use, had seriously lost much of the battery life (can't stand 2 hours teams call... Not that my brain can do much better but... So far I have to) So I decided to do the upgrade and go for Technics AZ100, sound was disappointing and voice isolation horrible and robotic, People started joking me if I was simulating my voice with a neural model. So I returned and went for pro 2. Sound is not that bad as they say, it's just "different" after some week I can say that it's a more "educated" sound, you need to give some time to your ears to digest it, but in the end I can say that PBP 2 sounds a little better than PBP 1. Sound is richer and more detailed and bass is more gentle and again detailed, especially in vynil ripped music, I can better feel the punchy sounds without all that bass that was pumped out the 1s. If you want more bass you can play with the equalizer and get the same sound of the 1s

I have the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the original Pixel Buds Pro, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Max, and Sony WF1000XM4s. The best phone call device I have though is the Ray Ban Metas. They are incredible.

Love my OG Pixel Buds Pro, which I believe check all the boxes. I've been particularly impressed with the mics. Excellent clarity even when I'm taking a call by a busy street.

I had the Pro 1s and they worked great except for the fact that my ears would constantly push them out and they would fall out after ~30 minutes of use. I also felt like ANC wasn't as good as it could've been. I got the Pro 2s when they were on sale and I've been loving them. They stay in my ears without issue and the sound quality is nearly identical (to my ears). ANC and transparency mode are also incredible with these buds. However, when I'm watching any streaming, like prime video, sometimes the audio cuts out every few seconds which is insanely irritating, but it doesn't happen constantly so I'm looking the other way.

Just bought some yesterday, instant return. I'm also having that sound direction problem, it sounds like spatial audio is permanently on even though I've turned it off. Like the direction of the music keeps going left and right randomly. The tap controls don't work at all, tap, double tap, triple tap. Nothing happens. Weirdest problems I've ever had from earbuds. All of these are almost certainly from a bad firmware update which is like the story of every wireless earbud ever. Why is it so difficult to not push out a firmware update that breaks it? Every company does it.

I'm in a similar boat, I have original pros but the battery in the left one lasts maybe an hour at this point. The pro 2s would be a no brainer but I'm seeing so many people saying they're on their 2nd or third pair because of a fundamental design flaw, which concerns me.

If you'd consider earbuds, can highly recommend the Pixel Buds Pro 2. I find them much more comfortable than wearing over-ear headphones while lifting. They're also the only earbuds that actually stay in for me lol

They're pretty comfortable on flights, though I do alternate between them and my QC35s. The longest flight I've used them for was roughly 5 hours. The noise cancellation is a smidge worse compared to my Airpods Pro 2, but not enough for me to stop using them.

At the end of the day, it's about what you want. If you can really dial in what you want, it actually becomes slightly easier to pay less, I feel. Because then you can decide whether you want good feeling buds that sound ass or great sounding buds that work kinda shitty, or a compromise between it all. And if you want everything perfect, you have to pay for it... and even then, there's no guarantees. Nothing is perfect, and you'll have problems with something, even if it's small. I've owned three pairs of buds... The Pixel Buds Pro, CMF Buds Pro 2, and very recently Moondrop Golden Ages 2. Here are my thoughts: The less you pay, the more interesting the game of compromise gets. For £100 to £150, you get the Pixel Buds Pro's features, good build and good sound (although they did annoy me the most). For £59, less on sale, you can get the CMF Buds Pro 2, with similar build quality but less premium feel, less responsive controls, and comparable sound. For £90, you can get the Golden Ages 2, with cheap-feeling build quality, okay controls, and some kickass planar drivers. All of these go on sale now and again, so prices can drop, and it is worth mentioning that the GA2 come with a leather sheath for the buds, but I'm guessing that's to protect the slightly weaker case... still, nice they included it.

I have upgraded to the Buds Pro 2, but loved the OG Buds Pro. I use the Bose NC700 at my desk and love that too
