I prefer beats fit pro because I despise over the ear hooks. However note that Powerbeats fit, the successor to beats fit pro, is coming out soon. I'll be upgrading myself since my fit pro is showing some wear and tear after 3 years of use. The wings are perfect, for most people they should be able to prevent the fit pro from falling out of your ears at all, as they get perfectly nudged in. A common complaint is they get a bit uncomfortable for longer periods - I found this to be the case as well but over time my ears adapted so I never feel long term discomfort anymore. No issues with sweat, and I believe they are water resistant for light rain. So overall, BFP were the greatest earbuds I ever owned, in general pretty satisfied. Now waiting to see what the Powerbeats fit has to offer

Beats are by far the best. Not just bc of the fit but bc they have the best controls for stop/start/pause/next/previous and volume. and the easiest to pair when switching the headphones between phone and laptop.

I second the Beats Fit Pro. You can use the XS tips but the top bit keeps them in your ears. I don’t use Apple AirPods because they just don’t stay in.

I really wish they would come back out with the Powerbeats but with ANC. I love my fit pros, but I feel like that little wing does absolutely nothing for me. Maybe I just have deformed ears.

Wind noise is brutal with open ear. They make it worse. Even with most noise cancellation buds. I can’t ride with my Beats Fit Pros although I love them. Probably need bone conduction. I hope the AirPod Pro 3’s have the magic to cancel wind noise. But I doubt it.

$200 well spent and that won’t fry when you sweat in them. Think about it this way, you paid what you did for the XM5, and if you continue to work out in them and they get water damage, they will be bricked and they won’t be covered by warranty. So you just lost what you paid for them. Buy AirPods Pro 2 currently going for $169 they’ll sound great, have phenomenal ANC, and they’re water resistant (and I’d argue sweat proof). Your ears won’t get hot less of a chance of them falling out on you, and won’t get as gross and nasty plus they are easier to clean. If earbuds falling out are an issue, beats fit pros stay in like a rock, sound pretty good (not APP good) have pretty decent noise cancellation, and again water resistant (and sweat proof) and you can find for under $100. Over ears are meant for travel and lounging, earbuds are meant for active folks.

I feel like sound quality is subjective. But I have air pods pro ($250) and they sound great. But don’t stay in my ears well. I also have Beats Fit Pro ($199) and they sound great and stay in my ears great too. I’ve had both pair for over 3 years. And they are still good to go.

i’ve been using beats fit pros with my iphone, they have 99% of the features that airpods have and are cheaper. my only complaint is that they have a little rubber tip that secures them in the ear, which gets really irritating after a couple of hours, but you can just flick them out to fix that.

My experience has been great. I’m coming from the Beats Fit Pro since the sound became harsh and the hear buds would hurt after 2 hours of use. I’m enjoying these a lot more. Tested for the correct tips and wings and the fit is great. No ear fatigue for me at all. My primary use was for the gym but have now been using at work on phone calls and Teams meetings. No complaints on the receiving end. Sound is great, bass is present, the equalizer within is nice. I mainly listening to HipHop and EDM music. ANC is good enough when taking calls or blocking out noise at the gym. At the price point only complaint for me could be the case but it’s rarely left in my pocket.

Bought a pair today, going back tomorrow. Impossible to get a good fit/seal with any of the ear tip sizes and sound is not good. The originals I had were much better (other than the charging issues) and my current Beats Fit Pros are much better. Oh well.

The ANC is very good, like I bring them to school and when I’m using them, I can barely hear anything at all, it’s to the point that when I removed the buds, that’s when I noticed that our team leader was confiscating our phones. ???? 10/10 earphones.

In my opinion, having in-ear earbuds with noise reduction/cancellation is generally unsafe as you cannot hear your surroundings very well. On the flipside, a lot of in-ear earbuds have a "transparency" mode that uses the mic to allow you to hear your surroundings, but this will definitely be affected by the wind. I have the Beats Fit Pro and they work well. They technically have a noise cancellation feature, but I don't use this while running and instead use the transparency mode to be more aware of my surroundings. I don't feel like the wind affects them too bad unless it's incredibly windy. And if it's incredibly windy, I'm caring more about not dying from the increased resistance of the wind than it affecting my volume!

Beats Fit Pro - I saw it mentioned once in a sub and thought I’d go for it. Great fit and I’ve never so much as had to give them a push back in to readjust. Sound is great and battery life lasts as long as you would dare run.

The Shokz OpnenRun Pro 2’s are the only ones in the shokz range with ok bass.  Powerbeats Fit are better for music but are only good for trails where you don’t need as much awareness. I have both and tend to use the Shokz for pretty much all my outdoor runs. The powerbeats fit are good for gym and treadmill usage though.

I've used the Beats Fit Pro for 4 years, thrown them in the wash too many times and they are still rocking. I think they've replaced it with this : [https://www.apple.com/nz/shop/product/ME2J4PA/A/powerbeats-fit-wireless-fitness-earbuds-with-secure-fit-jet-black?fnode=792aea0583061078a6ce05feec7cb4a47ec8ab2271af2f6df5d18f8f9fc3816041c223dae6539d01153621428983f10700ef9bc408d13cd1134bc0d0c588d402b6e563cece9e126df0696bbcb3baad2b2030adffbf0d852b4f27dcfc0cfa3fc86a4c183b9a85a84d564c3f18f2a26fd8](https://www.apple.com/nz/shop/product/ME2J4PA/A/powerbeats-fit-wireless-fitness-earbuds-with-secure-fit-jet-black?fnode=792aea0583061078a6ce05feec7cb4a47ec8ab2271af2f6df5d18f8f9fc3816041c223dae6539d01153621428983f10700ef9bc408d13cd1134bc0d0c588d402b6e563cece9e126df0696bbcb3baad2b2030adffbf0d852b4f27dcfc0cfa3fc86a4c183b9a85a84d564c3f18f2a26fd8)

As someone with similar struggles - soft in-ear hooks. There's the occasional unicorn design that just works, but your best bet is something that fits securely not just into your ear canal. Unfortunately most of that category is sports gear that's both very bassy and uncomfortable to outright painful for longer sessions, but something like the Sony Linkbuds, basic Beats Fit Pro or previous gen of Bose QuietComfort might pop up just within your budget if you keep an eye on sales and discounts.

I quite like my Adidas FDW-01 earbuds. No ANC and they will start wearing on your ears after a while, but they ain't coming out unless you want them to, and if you don't like the neck band there's an FWD-02 that does away with that. There's a lot of more secure and good sounding earbuds with all sorts of security features out there than a mediocre brand like Jabra and basic airpods, though, and all of them are likely to meet your requirements better than any headphone. JBL Endurance Race for example are also very secure and have an excellent IP rating that'll hold out through a thunderstorm, Beats Fit Pro are expensive but offer soft flexible hooks with good sound, and JLab Epic Air Sports pack their ANC with over-ear hooks instead if you don't want anything poking into your ear. And any decently sized ear hooks *will* be more secure than even the tightest headphone clamp, without bumping or catching on anything.

I initially worried that Beats products were over-priced and over hyped, but my Beats Fits Pros been my constant companions over thousands of km of running, snow, -20c temperatures, rain, and all my running milestones. I don't mind the Shokz, but the audio quality of the Beats to propel you when you're really feeling low on a big, long effort has been huge. Though I wear them so much that there's a perpetual sore spot on the inside of one ear. My preferred combo is Beats, and then Shokz for a half hour while the Beats charge in their pod. My go-to headphone routine for 5 hour + runs.

Honestly? IEMs. For actually being on the move and surviving near anything you just can't beat dedicated exercise earphones. A lot of them don't have the very best sound, but you can actually stick with Beats here for something premium like the Fit Pro or Powerbeats Pro 2 that can take a splash and stay securely in your ears while still offering a reasonably fun sound.

I go to a loud ass ufc and I bought the 2’s 6 months ago. I thought it was overkill but NC is really freaking good. And they fit better. The crazy thing is I don’t go max volume any more because I don’t have to. I do go back and forth between the large and medium ear things but think large works better for NC and fit. One more thing- my favorite headphones of all time were the beats fit pro 2’s. I loved the bass on those, APP3 aren’t as deep but pretty damn close. First song I listened to was nas’ you won’t see me tonight
