For me, it’s AirPods for calls and the Sony over the other headphones for everything else. Maybe some beats if you want to have volume while you’re at the gym, but I don’t want noise cancellation from your earbuds, and I want over the ear headphones to be what I would want on a plane and listening to music in a coffee shop. Also, for what it’s worth, I recently realized I could add AppleCare to my AirPods for like 15 bucks a year, and I have no clue that it ever ends.

I got tired of my AirPods falling out so I've been bringing my bluetooth JBL speaker with me to the gym. No issues so far.

The NRR rating in AirPods is a relatively recent update as well so I think most people still aren’t aware because for years they didn’t have any official rating.

Yeah. Airpods work with Android phones they just don't support all the features (they don't show battery %, no spatial audio, no Find My Device). Still mostly usable.

I would just get a new pair of air pods. I love mine. having the noise cancellation is handy when in louder areas. not to mention how seamlessly they work with your iphone.

Yes depending on the noise level, or just drowning out annoying background noise like fans/blowers

they are not a true replacement for ear plugs or muffs but do work surprisingly well for some stuff.

I killed 2 sets of AirPods with too much sweat. I now use Shokz open move when I run or workout. I don’t think they sound anywhere near as good as the AirPods, but they have lasted much longer. I would be open to switching to something else myself so I’m curious to see what people say.

airpods is by far your best bet; worth the money, takes at least 3years to notice the battery degrade (assuming you use it everyday).

I bought them because my left app2 took a swim and lost noise cancelling. I am happy with a device that fits so nice and call quality with battery life is great. I didn't buy them to experience another level in sound. I don't know what people expect but over all for w the price, size and overall feeling it's great.

My stupid friggin AirPods always fall out when I sweat. Over the ear ones actually stay in place, especially during cardio.

No problem. You'll def some decent ones at that price point that's have anc but you'll have to bump that music all the way up to block out the sound. If you got anything there it's usually just a shit load of features only Sony xm5 Bose an airpods got you on anc

Pros sound better I have them and don’t use them much (sometimes when I’m outside for an hour or two). I just hate the feeling with silicone tips inside my ears (tried different brands and it was the same or worse). I loved AirPods 2,3 and now just bought 4s with ANC (actually haven’t unpacked yet). I also really like Samsung LiveBuds - I think those are much better than people say.

I have the XM4s, XM6s arriving next week. Also have the AirPods 2. XM4s work solid for me for traveling, you do not want those AirPods to drop somewhere you cannot reach. I do my conference calls on AirPods as they seem clearer but looking forward to the XM6s which should be as good or better. I wear AirPods in the gym

+1 for memory foam tips. My AirPods stay put through anything short of the stems being directly physically manipulated.

Case is not the most durable, but my god the buds are virtually unbreakable. They finally gave up when I drove one of them over with my car. They've been in the washing machine, thrown around in bags, used in the gym almost daily, dropped 100s of times... I'd say they are an essential part of my life and even if the price went 2x I'd still buy them.

Get any of the AirPods, auto switching and easy controls via the control center works like magic. You won't regret it. Other bluetooth wireless earbuds also work well with Apple products via standard bluetooth but it's not a magically smooth experience.

Not an audiophile but I use them for BG music while working and taking meetings. Used the airpods 2 for 3 years (we are talking heavy usage everyday here) and then the battery gave up. Switched to the airpods pro 2. Experienced noise cancellation for the first time, and loved it. Only issue is with the mic quality, the reviews say different, but I am not happy at all with the mic quality. But it does help you get by. I feel the HR sensors are just gimmicks and really don't feel like upgrading for these features. But if they significantly improve mic quality, we are talking

You bring the case and it charges them in 15 mins. I always take them out at lunch and let them charge then I’m good for the rest of the day. 4 hours might even be a low ball, maybe it’s more like 5-6 hours depending on volume of music

I mean it’s not at all. Work for 4-5 hours with music on, charge while I eat lunch, then they are good to go for the rest of the day. 4 hours is a low ball it might be more like 6 hours idk cuz they almost never die before I charge them

Nah my AirPods charge in like 15 mins and last like 4 hours nonstop use. They fit in so well that I never even feel them and there’s no cords to catch on anything. I will literally forget I’m wearing them after work. I will never use wired earbuds again

Same here. And I find with the regular AirPod 2s, I can use the left AirPod in the left ear, and also flip it over and wear it upside down in the right ear, depending on what side I happen to be sleeping on. Wouldn’t try this walking around, but when laying horizontal, it stays put really well.

I am really considering the apple headphones but I’m not sure if I can justify £500 for something that I can’t wear as freely as AirPods. I’m quite sweaty and I use my AirPods in the gym and when at work in construction…so realistically they’re going to get a brutal combination of sweat and construction dust daily which will rip them to shreds. My AirPods have received that combination and they’re still going strong after 4 years. I’ve even worn them in the pool…not directly in the water but pretty close. Say what you want about apple but their products last

Run two single wired earbuds, one left and one right. Look for ones with with an inline hardware mute switch. I use two PS4 chat earbuds. Put Job A in one ear and Job B in the other. This will avoid Bluetooth issues, syncing problems, wrong computer connects, etc. On camera it just looks like you are wearing a normal set of earbuds. Two sets of AirPods can work too, one in each ear, but that is way easier to mess up with software mute and unmute.

For just listening to music I'll take my Sennheiser True Momentum 4 earbuds over the Apple AirPods everyday of the week. Now if you want to talk about seamless integration and if spatial audio floats your boat for video/movies get the Airpods. But they aren't the best sound quality for the money that I've used.

People might complain about the prices of Apple products, but I feel like the AirPods are actually completely worth every single penny. I’ve gotten thousands of hours of use out of mine over the years and they are the one thing that I use every single day. Best value proposition of all time.

Same. Apple better look at their return numbers and subsequent APP2 sales and GO BACK to that design for the 4. Or have two options, so people that can’t stand having anything way inside their ear canal a non foam option

On a college campus and I can state that it is: (1) AirPods of all different varieties and it isn't even close. Guessing they have > 80% of the earbud market on college campuses. Now for over the ear headphones I'd say it is a split between the Sony CH720N/XM4 vs the Bose QC35 or QC45 vs the Beats Solo 4. Behind these would be the AirPods Max and the JBL Tune 770.

Just in case you didn’t know, when you’re connected to the AirPods, you can swipe down to get to the command center and hard press the headphone volume icon and toggle between noise cancellation, transparency mode etc. super fast/easy

I finally decided to get a pair of Bose quiet comfort earbuds. They initially worked for like 30 minutes and then stopped working. I’ve sent them back today. People may not like to hear this but if you have an iPhone, the best earbuds are the AirPods second generation.

For all I know, AirPods always are the best earbuds on the market no questions asked. They’ll work perfectly with the MacBook and iPad but you will need to manually connect them every time on your oneplus and you lose out on some features like Spatial Audio. ANC is the best in the market right now for open earbuds. Sound quality is perfect if they fit your ears well. I have used AirPods with an android and a windows PC too, they still delivered excellent sound quality. Just note that if you’re using your AirPods on your android and you start playing something on your MacBook or iPad it will pull the connection from your android to it. Although I think this can be turned off

Airpods have the same latency on a Steam Deck or any other PC as your galaxy buds for the same reason. They will both be using the SBC codec with precisely the same performance.

The difference in quality between wireless JVC earbuds costing hundreds and the airpods are night and day. I'm no fan of Apple except for their wireless earbuds. I'm convinced they set the standard against the similarly priced wireless competition.
