I have been using an obsbot tiny camera for about a year. I know that’s not a long time but I can’t see how it would burn out any time soon

r/streaming • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->Yep! I got a Tiny SE and used it for the first time on Sunday to record a flute choir concert! Popped it on a tripod in the back of the room and it worked great! Maybe not its intended purpose, but it's a versatile camera. I was glad for the gimbal... One of our pieces had the players spread our around the room, so my husband was able to pan all the way around the room to get a great view. I haven't used it for YouTube-style videos or a conference call just yet. But I can see it will be perfect for those. I'll try to post an update after I do some editing with the footage I get. I want to try a self-collaboration video eventually (where the same player plays each of the parts of an instrumental ensemble and edits them together on screen). It may require a tiny bit of cropping in the edit phase but I really think it will look fine and quality will be great. I think for work calls alone it would be a perfect, budget-friendly camera. The OBS center software is pretty easy and intuitive to use. AI tracking is pretty cool... It follows you seamlessly if you stand up or move within the frame.

r/streaming • Which face cam should I get as a beginner streamer? ->sometimes you can find a used a A5100 or simular with a lens for less than 200 bucks, maybe look around keh camera for used gear and see if you can find a A500 or A5100 in good shape, there onlly 1080p tho.. not 4k but often cheap.. i reviewed the obsbot tiny SE on my youtube channel several months back and its pretty darn good for the money.. i can almost get it to look simular to my sony camera with a little color grading work , its about 99 bucks, so far i think that is one of the best camera i have tried that is quite affordable. look up a few revies on that.. its great for around 99 bucks, i would much rather use my sony but i could easily run my youtube channels with that little webcam if you have good lightning in your room, it was pretty good in low light too to tell you the truth.. its not perfect but hard to beat for a basic PTZ webcam with tracking that can follow you around the room.
r/obs • Any Good Webcams in 2025 That Aren’t Washed Out? ->Can't go wrong with the logitech brio line at 1080p or obsbot tiny se they are my top picks. But if you want something that has been tried and true for years, the c922 from logitech is always a good option although older, it is rock solid and built for 1080p 30 fps webcam content with auto focus and great low light.

Just because you have a Blue Yeti and a 4k webcam doesn’t mean people will stick around for your content if the video looks great but the audio is shit.

Most phone have at least 1080 recording .. that's enough to get you atleast in the game. If you looking to upgrade for the sake of upgrading the Sony you mentioned would be OVERKILL and way to expensive for gaming streams and the occasional IRL.. I would say check fbook market place for Sony, Canon, or the random Nikon that are full body cameras for reasonable prices. Ofcourse if you just need a webcam to get you thru it.. Logitech c920 , Razer kiyo pro , it any of the OBSBOT cams are a good choice. All are around $200 it less

And if you’re not moving around a lot, 4k30 would be just fine. Both cameras come with software that allows you to fine tune the camera much like Elgato’s camera hub software.
r/streaming • View on Reddit →The brio is pretty good for its price. Make sure you get the one you have shown here if you choose brio. The newer one is honestly worse quality in terms of picture. I would not get the egato facecam unless you can get the pro, which is significantly more expensive but has insanely good picture quality for a webcam. Its almost indistinguishable from an actual DSLR. I'd say the obsbot is probably a little bit better than the brio in quality. The c922 that people are suggesting is markedly worse than any of these choices and despite what people tell you, lighting is not going to fix that. You're going to want good lighting for any camera you use.

r/streaming • View on Reddit →Whatever you do, don’t get the brio. I’d lean towards the OBSbot. It’s the same price as the Facecam MkII, and yeah you’ll only be streaming at 1080p, but the image will be that much sharper if your face cam is ever full screen if you’re running the webcam at 4k. The downside is, it’s only 30 fps so you’ll get a lot of motion blur unless you can change the shutter speed. If all you want is 1080p60, the Mk II is a fine choice and opens up the camera hub software for you which is a great piece of software.
