I use a c920 as my second camera when I'm streaming LEGO builds and it's great :) (I use a Logitech StreamCam as my main camera, which I'm also very happy with)

If you’re mainly streaming and want solid image quality without overpaying, the **Logitech StreamCam** or **Obsbot Tiny 2** are both solid picks - great autofocus, good color, and easy to move around. If you’re willing to spend more for professional quality, the **BirdDog MAX** or **Canon CR-N100** are in a completely different league but priced much higher.

I've used a refurbished Logitech Streamcam off amazon with Beam Eye and Opentrack for a year or so now and it works flawlessly.

I use AI track and open track. Open track gives way better control over settings than CIG has ingame. Camera is a Logitech stream cam, set to 640x480@60fps. Works like a charm. No stutter, no tracking issues (after using AI track and open track, before with CIG settings, every time)

Hai! I've been looking for a good value stream camera (not webcam) for a mid-range price point (around 600 AUD, 350-400 USD), that's also good enough quality to use for YouTube content creation, but all I can really find are top of the line film cameras that are way overkill for what I want to do, or budget webcams that are worse than what I'm using right now (a Logitech streamcam). Does anybody have any suggestions for a camera that meets this criteria, not super picky on whether it's dlsr or not :>

I used a Nexigo it was good but I upgraded to the Logitech Stream Cam. I like it better. It comes with a few accessories. It's around 100$

This may or may not help because of the $70 constraint, but I recently purchased 4 different web cams before I found one that was actually on par with my cellphone or good enough for me to actually want to keep. I tried the C922, it was not great at all, and I was surprised because of how many people recommend it. I tried the logitech stream cam, and even though it was better than the C922 I also returned it. I tried the razer Kiyo, no dice. Finally I tried the elgato Facecam 4K and it was legit! I use it daily to stream with now and for business meetings! I always get compliments on it. All that to say, you won't get a wow factor at all for $70, you will be underwhelmed.

I bought the Logitech Stream cam, than the elgato facecam 4k for 200€ 4k and iam not satisfied. My learning: If you want a good Quality, dont buy a Webcam. I bought a used Sony Alpha 6000 kit with a cheap capture Card for 250€. Its many ways better than the Elgato Cam. I think a ised C920 should be a good starter Cam for roumd about 50€. Later u can buy a bigger Cam Like a Sony Alpha. Advantage: you get a very good cam for Photography. But the elgato Keylight ... Indont wanna miss it.

I like the streamcan. Just get some decent lights and you are good to go. Logitune app is easy to use to adjust things.

No it is the one pointed at me. It has a really wide FOV but I trim it down and shape it to fit my OBS layout. I would not recommend the internal mic on it though.

I've used the Logitech Brio 4k for a long time. To me it has been great for a webcam. The best quality would be to use a DSLR camera and a capture card. But if you don't have a camera laying around to use, the Brio would be a good choice. I have also used the Logitech StreamCam and Elgato Facecam. The Facecam really disappointed me with its quality compared to the Brio. Streamcam would be a good choice if it was like $60.

I've been looking for a thread like this. I've also tried a c930e and Streamcam, both work docked and undocked, and show up as mic input too I've tried the Anker c200, which I had high hopes for as it's a higher resolution, which is good for cropping/zooming... but it doesn't seem to recognise it.

I bought the 480p piranha plant camera because I love the design. I have a Logi StreamCam USB C that works wonders with the Switch 2 if I ever want to use a camera.

Honestly the stream cam is a very solid starter / high mid camera from my research. If she is just starting it’s way better to put a little into it then save up down the road. I started with no camera, then got an Amazon cheap one while I saved for a better one.

I'm using an iPhone 12 with camo cam app. Was gonna buy the new logitech MX brio but cancelled the order after my sister gave me her old iPhone. Was using a logitech streamcam for years til it broke, then an old logitech c310 I had lying around as a backup just incase the streamcam busted which it inevitably did. The quality was shocking compared to what I was used to but after some tweaking I made it look okay. I had to make do for a lil while and only cost me 3 quid years ago. They still sell them for £20, which is only £5 less than they are selling the relatively new brio 100. Iphone camera is incredible and I don't have to mess around with settings. It really does just look great, even in low light.

``` $ lsusb | grep -i 'cam' Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:0893 Logitech, Inc. StreamCam ``` Works (like every other webcam) but it's horrible: the picture is overexposed, it loses focus all the time. I know you asked for good web cam recommendations but I'm posting this as a precaution. Don't buy this expensive crap.
I would honestly look on marketplace for anything logitech or elgato. The streamcam was 150 brand new for me, but you can probably get cheaper Razer kiyo wasn't good imo. Also just an idea, I did for a time use my xbox kinect v2 (xbone version), with a $20 adapter, on my pc as a webcam
