With the dyson stick cordless, the battery can be replaced. We did so on ours after 8ish years and it is like new.
r/Cleaningandtidying Stay-at-home mom here: which cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->When our battery started to go I had no idea it could be replaced. Needless to say I was very excited, lol
r/Cleaningandtidying Stay-at-home mom here: which cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->My husband ordered and exchanged it. I dont recall it being a pain in the ass. There seems to be 2 screws.
r/Cleaningandtidying Stay-at-home mom here: which cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->Ive had 2 Dyson stick vacs break and honestly the manufacturing seems to get cheaper not better. Just switched to shark and happy so far but when youre in the $400 range you are buying a short term vacuum anyhow.
r/CleaningTips Are Dyson vacuums really worth it? V11 is now under $400 and I'm tempted ->Ive had the V15 detect for 4 years now and its as strong now as it was when I first bought it. I do clean it regularly and change the filters every couple of weeks. I thought the battery was declining but turned out the charger was defective and a new charger brought my battery and my replacement battery up to 100%. Best vacuum Ive ever owned.
r/VacuumCleaners Life after a Dyson Outsize ->I have the V15 and am very satisfied with it. I think the V8 will serve you well for small pickups around the house. Its very convenient to just grab a small vacuum like this to clean up small bits here and there. I cut my hair at home and this thing is awesome for cleaning up afterwards, as well as cleaning the messes that my boxer creates throughout the day.
r/VacuumCleaners Dyson v8 plus worth it ? ->My Dyson has a Los screen with battery time left. It will warn you with 5 min left and even count down
r/CleaningTips Vacuuming my house every day has changed my life ! ?? ->Yes. I use my cordless Dyson daily for small messes and use it as my main vacuum. Its so convenient. I love it. I also got it on sale at Costco.
r/homemaking Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->Same - Though Reddit seems to hate them. We got a Shark as a gift, lasted 1 year. They replaced it for free. Lasted about 2 years. Weve had the same Dyson stick over 10 years with no issues. A charge doesnt last long as long as it used to, but suction is still excellent. I can save you the trouble, Reddit will recommend you buy a $1300 corded Miele/Sebu. If God forbid you must have a cordless, $1000 Miele or $200 shark. I just dont think its worth it for something where the bar is does it get my floors clean?. It reminds of certain hobbies like Mountain Biking where anything other than enthusiast-level ($$$$) is junk. Okay but I had fun riding my junk the last decade while saving 8K. PC gaming, too - nobody has enjoyed a game with 12GB of VRAM, apparently.
r/CleaningTips Are Dyson vacuums really worth it? V11 is now under $400 and I'm tempted ->Yup v15 has been great for a couple years so far. I dont care if it doesnt last forever, Ill buy another. Peoples opinion on Dyson is based on the old ass one with weak performance.
r/VacuumCleaners DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Dont know how often youd use or charge yours but after having to replace the battery on my Dyson twice when it died the third time I got a black and decker instead - swappable battery means theres no wait for recharge an I dont need a place to plug it in - I also had a ton of the batteries for other tools already. Oh, and it works great for a cordless stick, as well as the Dyson did an we use it on floors and rugs (still use an upright on the thick pile rugs weekly but it does the job for a quick tidy on them)
r/Cleaningandtidying Stay-at-home mom here: which cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->I had the same vacuum (lasted for many years) and used to take it with me on road trips with my dog. They are worth the price!
r/CleaningTips Vacuuming my house every day has changed my life ! ?? ->Yeah this is sadly common. My v15 had the same issue and died just outside of warranty. A new cyclone unit was $150 which fixed the issue.
r/dyson Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->Is that possible? The v15 was released Mar 2021 and carried a two year warranty. The first out of warranty replacement would be in Mar onwards 2023. Each replacement carries its own one year warranty. So then the second replacement Mar 2024 and third replacement Mar 2025. That's assuming it dies 1 day after warranty. You must be the unluckiest person alive hah.
r/dyson Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->I have had the Dyson V15, the Shark, and the LG CordZero and so far, LG is the huge winner because of its price and power. It is most comparable to the V15, without the price tag. We had the dyson for about 18months before its motor started to go (apparently a well known issue) so we returned it. The LG has been as powerful as the v15, and I prefer its attachments over the dyson. We have hardwood, tile, and some high pile and low pile rugs. LG does a great job on them all as a daily driver where I need dust, cat hair, crumbs, and dirt picked up.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →I have one of the cordless animal dysons it fills up insanely fast and I have to empty countless times when I vacuum, but I keep up with cleaning all parts and pieces and havent had any issues!
r/husky • View on Reddit →My husband ordered and exchanged it. I dont recall it being a pain in the ass. There seems to be 2 screws.
r/Cleaningandtidying • View on Reddit →O have a George that does wet and dry clean. But its so heavy and wired that its a real chore to use it. So I also have a Dyson thats cordless so that if I want to do the vacuuming in the kitchen quickly after a meal it only take 5 minutes and no setup.
r/AskUK • View on Reddit →3 times I had one die just after that warranty expired sadly
r/dyson • View on Reddit →I bought a V15 last year and thought it was quite powerful. But the power head broke within 2 weeks and replacements were out of stock. So I returned it and got a Samsung Bespoke Jet. The Samsung is strong enough on the min setting to do a quick touch up of the house (mainly pet hair pick up), which results in a long run time of about an hour. The combo head does not need to be switched when moving from hard floor to area rugs/carpets. The charging stand that comes with the unit will also empty the dust bin. For me, my reason for getting a cordless vacuum was for the convenience to do quick touch ups without dragging out the canister vacuum, and the Samsung fulfills that better than the Dyson.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →>Dyson make the best cordless vacuums. Good one! As a Dyson owner I wish I'd got a Shark or Miele. Dysons are average at best.
r/newzealand • View on Reddit →Reiterating what some have saidDyson. Our house is full of hair with three large dogs including a St. Bernardwish I had gotten it sooner. We bought ours on eBay as certified refurbished and it came with an Allstate warranty that we have used and was pretty simply. I believe we bought it close to Black Friday a few years back so Id start looking.
r/Cleaningandtidying • View on Reddit →Dyson V 15 and Sebo owner with two super hairy shorthairs living in a cement floored warehouse with lots of Turkish area rugs. Not sure what your obviously perfect feline does but life with my kitties has its challenges. They are dirt attractants to say nothing of the charms of litter in bare fee. Couldnt live without the instant availability of a cordless and the 15 is a solid performer in all areas. My rugs do look cleaner after a full Sebo experience but Im lazy and place is big. I have come to realize you need more than one vacuum, unless you have only one flooring type , dont have to carry up stairs or navigate a labyrinth of hallways and live in under 1000sq ft.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →Hated my Dyson too. Had the v15. I'm going to check this one out. I have a shark now and I hate it too.
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →The dyson v15 swivel head is remarkable. The best Ive ever experienced on any vacuum.
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →The Dyson cleans the entire home just fine, i've never had an issue with it, and my partner is a OCD level clean freak (yes, this is just anecdotal I know). With that being said, my house is mostly wood floor, with rugs in the obvious places. If you live in a fully carpeted house...sure I would see your point a bit more. But The idea that the suction of a stick isn't sufficient for all but the dirtiest of situations is equally false in the opposite direction of Dyson marketing.

r/askhungary • View on Reddit →We had a V15 that we had to replace twice due to power failures. Apparently a lot of the new versions have a board with capacitor issues that cause it to overload and fail after regular use. We just went to a V8 because of having to replace multiple machines because of this. The V8 uses an older board and so I am hoping it doesnt have this issue
r/dyson • View on Reddit →Lots of people will shit on Dyson but honestly their stick vacs are great, relatively durable, very convenient and with easily replaceable parts. Very few vacuum cleaners are genuinely BIFL. Avoid Miele like the plague.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Dyson pet version. Wasnt cheap but good quality and does great easy to clean.
r/Frugal • View on Reddit →Almost 3 years ago I changed my cleaning routine and started vacuuming (almost) daily. I bought the cordless Dysonv15 whatever that plugs in to charge but can run without a cord. And let me tell you it is a total GameChanger! It doesnt make vacuuming fun per se - but it sure makes it a heck of a lot easier not having to plug and unplug the cord every 20-30feet. I can also get the whole house done in 15-20 minutes (2700sfish). And my OCD self loves not seeing hair on the floor. For Mothers Day this year, my sis and I went in on one for my mom. Not the same model but still a cordless one and my mom says the same thing now. That she loves the vacuum! If your budget allows, I highly recommend a cordless vacuum. It may just be a tiny piece that really improves your quality of life!
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →We have: Roomba - Used 2/3 times a week between cleaner being here. Only does downstairs. Had this for many years, would definitely replace it when it breaks, maybe with one that mops and empties itself. Dyson V15 cordless - wall mounted for easy jobs and quick zip around. It has the green laser so it makes it easy to see where to clean. It's really good, buttttt....It doesn't last super long though, and I'm not impressed by the battery. Used by us and our cleaner. If it broke I would probably buy a replacement. Dyson Animal corded - Super powerful, but a bit cumbersome. Mostly used by our cleaner. Has this for nearly a decade I think. Very good investment. If it broke I might not replace and leverage the other two.
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • View on Reddit →Ive got the 15 with the laser, and agree its really there for convenience I can quickly grab it whilst Im waiting for the coffee machine to heat up or the kettle to boil and give the living room / lounge a quick once over, etc It takes a bit of maintaining, so Ive got a couple of filters so I can swap out when one needs washing, and youve gotta take it apart occasionally and clean out the canister and vents inside with a brush, but it works and has enough suction to do a decent job. Ive got a good old Henry for the deep cleans, has way more suction but is much more heavy to carry around and means pulling out the cable and plugging it in
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →Spend a little more and get the shark upright with powered/motorized lift away head that can reach under things with power. Much better than the cheaper version. Ive purchased three of these vacuums for myself and my two daughters. #Model: AZ3002 $279. Or the newer version with extra attachments Model: LA492 $349. The first one is good and probably only difference is attachments and other features that dont really make a difference. I wouldnt get cheaper than the $279. One bc of the powered head that fully detaches with powered head/beater brush that cleans much better then the wind powered other models & they dont really distinguish the powered head difference in the modelshope that makes sense. I also have the Dyson v15 stick vacuum and to be honest the shark does a better job but the cord and not as cool .
r/wohnen • View on Reddit →This is so true and I wish I would have known this before I bought my SEBO K3. I love my cute little pink canister, but in my 700sqft apartment its really a pain to drag around. I got a refurbished Dyson V15 on Black Friday and its SO much more convenient. I feel obsessed with vacuuming now lol. Ill always have my SEBO and it definitely is more powerful, but Im not sure its worth it for a small space with hardwood floors.

r/Cleaningandtidying • View on Reddit →Until it dies again because Dyson hasnt fixed the issue. Thats why we gave up and went back to a V8
r/dyson • View on Reddit →Miele are great pieces of kit all round. The Karcher WD2 is an inexpensive vacuum that does a great job without trying to be clever. We also have a Lidl wet and dry for 40 euro for back up. Cordless, a good Dyson model with pet hair attachment. Just handy to have around for quick jobs. But even with the few quick jobs it needs regular filter cleaning and are quite expensive as a 'quick job' handy tool.
r/AskIreland • View on Reddit →Unpopular opinion on here...but I think it will give some perspective to your question specifically. Been a lurker looking for a new vacuum, and researching around here drove to me to just...buy another Dyson. The Dyson is just fine, dare i say even great. This sub is a CLASSIC case of over-Redditing and contrarianism. The Dyson is awesome. My last one lasted like 7 years, all I had to do was replace the battery a couple of times, which are like $45 on Amazon. The build quality is just fine. The suction has literally never been a problem at all. We have 2 long hair cats..it's never clogged on their mountains of hair. The battery life is fine. When it gets low...it takes all of 20 seconds to replace the battery. The charging is fast. The attachments and break down into smaller portable vacs is so amazing. Here's my kicker of a comparison (again, just personal opinion): I've been living out of state at a friends house for work for a few months. He has a Miele canister vacuum (that he undoubtedly got from browsing this sub). This thing is such a fucking pain in the ass to use. It doesn't fit into corners very well. Plugging it in and re-plugging it to move to vacuum another part of the house...pain in the ass. Got a small kitchen mess to clean up? Woah there, here comes this FUCKING MASSIVE CORDED VACUUM, so convenient and easy. Got some dust in a corner you want to take care of quickly? yea fuck the cordless dyson with 5 different sized attachments that make it versatile, that I can also grab off the wall hanger in a split second, let me go get this 30 pound mega brick, find the closest outlet, and hope it fits in this tight corner space. Unless you are sucking up the hair of a small herd of dogs that also happen to be living in a completely open space with a convenient wall socket all around, that also has black dust constantly raining down on it, get the fuckin Dyson and enjoy life.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →The chom chom roller is the best for couches. I never thought Id be a Dyson person but I got the one with the laser hardwood floor attachment and pet hair couch attachment and its the greatest.
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →Honestly I'm perfectly content with the fact that my Dyson detect is just adequate at picking up dirt, what it outshines in is CONVENIENCE and I'm asking to pay the pretty penny for that
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →I love my cordless Dyson cyclonic. I bought it from Dyson directly, refurbished for about $250 with taxes. It works better than the brand new one of the same model my mom bought from Costco for double the price. It works as a handheld and a full vacuum. The suction is incredible. Minimal parts to clean and the parts you do need to clean only require water and a toothbrush for a few hard to reach areas. I can remove all of my dogs hair from the couch within seconds. I would absolutely buy it again.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Ich hab den Dyson v15 detect absolute mit zig Aufstzen. Habe ich ihn seit 12/2021 und er saugt problemlos unsere 110qm. Von daher groe Empfehlung
r/wohnen • View on Reddit →Ive had my Dyson v15 detect thats still going strong after 2.5 years!
r/germanshepherds • View on Reddit →I bought a V15 detect late last year. The green laser with the fluffy head worked great for pet fur on hard floors--better than my canister vac. But the combo power head broke within 2 weeks. Could not get a hold of Dyson service. Replacement power heads were out of stock online. I was not interested in a $900 stick vac that only does hard floors, so I returned the whole thing to Costco and bought a Samsung Bespoke. Found a stick on green laser on Amazon that works decent (though not as good as Dyson's). I will never again buy another Dyson.
r/VacuumCleaners • View on Reddit →I think Dyson has gone downhill. We bought a corded one like 15 years ago and it still works great. We bought a cordless maybe like 5 years ago that stopped working a year ish ago. We replaced it and that one broke pretty quickly. It was under warranty and Dysons customer service is great. They were out of the part and model, so they upgraded us to a much more expensive vacuum. It would have been around $1000 to buy this vacuum! And its not that great. It feels like it going to break and I dont even think it even does a great job sucking things up.
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →Dyson stick vacuums are definitely powerful enough. Bagless and lightweight, too. Though you would need multiple batteries. A backpack vacuum would make you look like a Ghostbuster. That would be priceless.
r/housekeeping • View on Reddit →I have the V15 detect. I love it so much I would marry it. It has that light and shows every spec of dust and dog hair. I have dachshund dogs . The only thing I will say if you have OCD this dyson makes you crazy I do vacuum more with this model , but worth every penny.

r/Cleaningandtidying • View on Reddit →Have an older upright Dyson bag less vacuum, over 15 years old and its good. Bought a stick vacuum a couple of years ago for quick cleaning like after kids have demolished snacks, for the car etc and its been awful. Barely has any power compared to the proper vacuum, charge doesnt last long, battery died last year and I had to go in to a store to get it replaced (at charge) then got home and after one use it stopped again. Turns out it was the power adapter/cord that was stuffed, and the back and forth to get them to just post me a new cord was stupid.

The v15 (and more previous gens) has a big flaw in the v wheels in its motorized brush. Breaking it takes almost zero effort but replacing it is a freaking pain
