I just bought the LG OLED 5K2K 45” ultrawide. I think there’s a 34” version? My last LG 34” 1440p ultrawide was great too. My last 4 monitors have been LG and they’ve been great.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • Ultrawide 34 recomendation for work and games ->I went from a 34" curved LG ultrawide to a 55" TV. I like the TV way better, but I think a 49" ultrawide monitor would work even better because then my 24" DDU that I have above my TV would be lower and could be more easily seen. Of course a 57" ultrawide monitor would be even better. Lol.
r/simracing • 34" or 49" Ultrawide for Sim Racing? ->Using LG 34" UWQHD at 3440x1440 (Default) 85 Hz on M1 Mac Mini. HDR off. Great picture at a usable size. Chipset Model: Apple M1 Type: GPU Bus: Built-In Total Number of Cores: 8 Vendor: Apple (0x106b) Metal Support: Metal 3 Displays: LG HDR WQHD: Resolution: 3440 x 1440 (UWQHD - Ultra-Wide Quad HD) UI Looks like: 3440 x 1440 @ 85.00Hz Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported
r/MacOS • Is a 34" ultrawide at 3440x1440p a good fit to drive mac mini or external MBP display? ->I did just switch to a USB C to Display Port and am now at 100 Hz. Small improvement.
r/MacOS • Is a 34" ultrawide at 3440x1440p a good fit to drive mac mini or external MBP display? ->I went from the aoc cu34g2xp to an LG 34gs95qe and agree with what you said. The aoc was a decent monitor, I didn’t notice any smearing or other issues VA’s can have. The LG is beautiful, OLED looks so much better. I personally love the 800r curve it has as well.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • Best 34" Ultrawide for fast FPS gaming? ->LG. Don’t waste your time with any of the Samsung qd oleds, they are all junk. Just make sure you get a GS model, like the LG 34gs95qe-b. Over the span of 3 weeks I tried the Samsung g85sb, g60sd, and g80sd. The fringing on the 1st Gen qdoled panels is so bad that using the g85sb for any more than 30 minutes resulted in a migraine that lasted the rest of the day which is something I had never experienced before. Despite what reviews say, the gen 3 panels yielded little to no improvement over the gen 1 as far as fringing goes. 2 more blaring issues that are prominent on all QD OLED displays are 1. Elevated blacks and 2. A very slight purple/pink tint to everything. Both issues play off of eachother and even in a pitch black room with only the screen on, the screen will pick up its own light and boost blacks and glow ever so slightly pinkish as a result. The LG 34GS95QE-B on the other hand looks very close to my 55” C4 and has the perfect blacks that you expect when buying an OLED. Don’t be fooled by the glossy diehards either. On a TV, sure glossy can be much nicer. But on a PC monitor I’ve found the matte to be the way to go.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • Buying an ultra wide monitor with a $1000 budget. What would you buy? ->800r curve is great, Takes 5 mins to get used to. I had a sammy g85sb (1800r) for a week before I returned it. That monitor may as well have been flat with how weak the curve was, and I actually preferred using my flat 55” c4 in 3440x1440 over the Sammy monitor. Different story when comparing my 34gs95qe-b to the c4 though.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • Buying an ultra wide monitor with a $1000 budget. What would you buy? ->It will always be worth returning anything Samsung for an LG or literally any other brand of device. As for going 5k2k, hopefully you don’t expect a high refresh rate experience all of the time and don’t play competitively. Imagine 4k but marginally worse as far as performance goes. It will probably be a generation or two before computer hardware catches up and those monitors are actually viable. I’ll be sticking with my LG 34GS95QEB until hardware catches up.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • What’s with the 5K2K hype? ->For immersion in adventure games or racing get the 39. If PPI matters get the 34. What made me return the 39 and get the 34 was the fringing and how everything looks stretched. In competitive games you will noticed a bunch of artifacts, jagged edges, and text fringing. Dota 2 for example, after a match I was so exhausted that I couldn't even look at the screen anymore. Same for Age of Empires.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • LG UltraGear 39 vs 34?! ->I think this monitor is the sweetspot for an ultrawide monitor. I am using the 34GS95QE and while i am mostly using it for singleplayer gaming, i sometimes do some productivity on it and the higher resolution of the GX9 would let me fit two programms on the screen side by side just a little bit better. At the moment i sometimes need just a little bit more space. And the higher dpi will probably look stunning while gaming!
r/ultrawidemasterrace • [Real-User Invite] LG UltraGear 5K2K GX9: The Ultimate Sweet Spot of UltraWide OLED Gaming Monitor ->I have a oled 34' uw from LG and I like it a lot! I tried 32' 4k ips on a Lan party side by side and liked the uw format a lot more. But I recommend to test both yourself as it seems to be quite the personal choice
r/OLED_Gaming • 34 ultrawide 3440x1440 vs 32 4K. ->I went with a 34 1440p over the 32 4k. I had this exact dilemma and got the 32 4k first 240hz. My graphic card was 4090 and it looked great but fps was under 100 all the time. Switched to the 1440p 34 240hz and absolute love the switch. I get like 160hz+ and it’s so smooth and beautiful when playing cod and Diablo
r/ultrawidemasterrace • Ultrawide died, can't decide if i should go with another curved 34" 21:9 at 1440P, or a 32" flat 16:9 at 4K. ->Is it just me or are these prices insane? I snagged the 34GS95QE-B for about €680 last September in Spain. I checked the prices now on Amazon.es and the same model is sitting at €720.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • The state of modern LG Monitors, compared. I'm needing to choose a new LG monitor to replace my dead one (the first entry, 34GK950F), and I figured the community might benefit from my comparison table. I still don't know what to choose, myself. ->I had the same concerns and I love my 34GS95QE

I’m getting the 175Hz version of the MSI and LG 34GS95QE(240Hz) for almost the same price. Unable to get the 240Hz version as of now for MSI. Would you still recommend the MSI?

r/simracing • View on Reddit →Both. Ultra-wide 34" curved in the center; 27" vertical on left for email, Teams chat, windows explorer, etc.; 24" landscape upper right; laptop lower right.
r/excel • View on Reddit →My official job title is Business Analyst, but my function is essentially a form of grant writing. 90% to include reading and editing documents. My laptop and software were all provided by my employer, as well as two functional, but old, monitors. I bought the LG 34” curved monitor (on sale for $160) and it’s been a game changer for me. I don’t lose track of my cursor, c & p is easier, and I can have multiple docs up at the same time without having to minimize any of them. I’ve also found I have less head/eye aches. And my desk just feels less cluttered with one monitor as opposed to two. Also bought a basic, but wireless, mouse and keyboard.
r/workfromhome • View on Reddit →34". All the way. We have had AOC x 2 with zero issues, great monitor. My lad is currently on an LG 34" which seems to be fine, little bit of bleed. My daughter is also on a 34" Viewsonic, i'm on a 49" uw. My two main gaming buds are also 34". Both with 3060s. For gaming, gotta be 34" curved, it's a beautiful thing. Imo, i would stay away from nzxt myself.
r/buildapc • View on Reddit →I sold my UW 34" 1440 OLED for a 32" 4K OLED and Id never look back
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Despite what some people here say, i got the LG and the 800r feels amazing, so yeah would recommend that one.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I'm not OP, I gave up on 49" (the MSI model listed by OP was my favourite) due to the inability to split it properly (game+internet/movie requires either windowed, or 2 cables with loss of gsync/hdr/hz) and the too anecdotal curve (1800R). I ended up buying LG 34" Oled (see my flair), and now I want to make sure I don't burn it. It's a 2024 model like the MSI but doesn't seem to have as much protection as MSI. I set my other monitor (non-oled, for now one of my dell u2415, soon probably a LG 27GS60QC) as the main, and it holds the taskbar as well as all desktop icons. The Oled either displays wallpaper (switching every 20 minutes because I set 10 & Windows is dumb and switches 1 monitor at a time) or games. Games include static UI (don't they all have some anyway ?!), MMO (gw2) or not (Hogwarts Legacy atm), but never for long uninterrupted periods, as loading screens or opening the map happen on a regular basis.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →240hz 3440x1440p WOLED 3800R :)
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I'm gonna go test Warzone now and see. I can max out my UWQHD LG 240hz on ultra settings with my 5090. I'm guessing it could get close or over 200 with more average settings. Having said that, 165hz is more than fine.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →480hz, 34”, 3440x1440, OLED, 21:9
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I have neither of those monitors. I use a old LG 3440x1440 34". That only has 108ppi resolution while the mentioned 5k2k displays have 140ppi. However, MacOS has scaling problems with everything that is not "retina" resolution, so everything below ~200ppi. I find the text to be a bit blurrier on non-Apple displays compared to Windows. But you get used to it. Also the built-in window management is complicated, sluggish and not really suitable for ultrawide monitors, you'll want additional software like Better Touch Tool or Rectangle.
r/mac • View on Reddit →I use a cheaper end LG 3440x1440 monitor connected to a 2019 MBP as my daily driver. Zero issues at all, no blurry text
r/mac • View on Reddit →Im not sure on the exact model, and I'm not at home to check, but it's one of the LG ultragear ones. I havent used either mentioned in your post, so I can't comment on specifics unfortunately.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Absolutely love my LG 34GS95QE, but it's a constant reminder that I now also need to upgrade my second monitor to OLED.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Got the LG 34GS95QE-B a few months ago and it’s been awesome. Super crisp, crazy fast response, and the OLED contrast makes story games pop. 49” G9 is tempting for immersion, but honestly 34” feels like the sweet spot between usable and cinematic.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I'm not OP, but I use mine exclusively for gaming. Perfect balance of performance and quality for the games I play. And yeah, I would not use it for work or text heavy stuff. My Dell 5k2k sits next to it for that stuff ??
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I had the same concerns and I love my 34GS95QE
r/OLED_Gaming • View on Reddit →For under $1000 you can just get a 34 in OLED and it’ll be the best viewing experience you can have. No smearing, HDR, and you get super fast response times
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Love to hear what people experience with Text Christmas on these monitors. I have an LG 34 inch curved monitor and the text is not very crisp and I find it distracting. Anybody able to compare it to a max studio display or one of the other similar ones that have 220 dpi
r/MacOS • View on Reddit →Also a developer, I work, game and hobby code on a 34" LG OLED, never had a problem with text fringing or anything like that, the extra workspace is ridiculously helpful. That said, I use multiple editors and multiple applications on the daily, so I dont tend to have one window open in the same place long enough to risk burn in. If you're worried, and have the deskspace, maybe get a cheaper IPS for work/second screen whilst gaming? I cannot and will not give up that Oled look now, just too much better.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →For remote working, I got a MSI 34" MAG 345CQR. It's supposed to be a "gaming", but it was one of the cheapest with a good curve (1000R) and matte finish. It obviously doesn't make me as happy as my LG 34GS95QE (which I got for gaming), but that one was much more expensive and is OLED so I can't use it for work (hence buying the MSI). Still quite happy with it, it's perfect for work. Didn't try gaming on it.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Hi, I think I am the man in your mind lol. Just changed from LG 34UC79G to LG 34GS95QE after 5 years. The bad news is, there is no real 4k monitor with high refresh rate on the market at now, the only one that suits real 4k+high refresh rate is the Dell U4025QW, 120hz but with a 5ms response. So 1440p just fine, and for ultra wide monitors, it will use more gpu than the normal size monitors.
r/bapcsalesaustralia • View on Reddit →I have a 34inch ultra wide from LG. I don't do this but I did test it out. From my one 14inch MacBook pro I connected to my monitor using their thunderbolt type c connection, giving power to the laptop and display to the monitor. I then connected the HDMI from monitor to laptop. My monitor has the ability to display both inputs at once in a split mode and the MacBook thinks of it as two displays. Pretty neat
r/macmini • View on Reddit →That’s overblown. Idk anyone with burn-in and I’ve had my lg oled for 2 years no burn-in.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I only have experience with the LG ultragear oled panels and they're incredible. Amazon and best buy have some awesome deals on 34"and 45"ultrawide panels right now. I think the 34 inch LG OLED panels would be within budget. I have the 45" version and the monitor is awesome
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I own the UW1440p and it's an excellent monitor for gaming. I also play FPS shooters and have essentially the same computer (5070Ti instead of 9070XT), and it's a perfect monitor for that. Having said that, since you can find both for similar prices, I'd probably go with the 5k2k. You guys can always pop in a 5090 or whatever is king down the road, and AM5 will be supported for years.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →just try and return them. I ordered a LG34GS95Q and Asus XG32UCWMG. ultra wide is nice but i preferedd the more vertical space of 32 innch anc crispy 4k!
r/Monitors • View on Reddit →Bought the lg 34 ultrawide oled 240hz. Max fps(so you use the full extend of the monitors refreshrate without FG input lagg). max graphics and full immersion with the widescreen oled. 4k max graphics means you need to upgrade cards every 2 years, and I personally cant play on 60-70 fps anymore. Will also do alot of vrr flicker on oleds when your refreshrate is way higher than your actual fps.
r/Monitors • View on Reddit →I did just switch to a USB C to Display Port and am now at 100 Hz. Small improvement.
r/MacOS • View on Reddit →I would love to see this in a slightly smaller size. I have the ultra gear OLED 800r curved in a 34” and I think it’s perfect.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →I've got the Dell 5K2k 40" at work and it's amazing, but I love my 34" 2K 240hz OLED at home for gaming because the 5090 gpu needed to push games at 5K2K is way out of my budget. 5K2K ultra wide is better for productivity and less demanding games imo.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Using LG 34" UWQHD at 3440x1440 (Default) 85 Hz on M1 Mac Mini. HDR off. Great picture at a usable size. r/MacOS • View on Reddit →The DWF is good but I’m not a fan of QD OLED turning magenta in the light. I would go for the 34” LG OLED and just get used to the curve I’m using the new Asus tuf 34” 180hz VA and it’s very good for the price. But still not nearly as good as an OLED. Not the best response time and the black levels are much better than an ips but still not at OLED level. I love 21:9. Once I step away from it I always crave it again.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →OLED: Not currently. I did get one of LG's woefully under-rated 38BN95C-W monitors on sale for $850 a while back (3840x1600, 144hz nano IPS). About as close as you will get currently. Not perfect, but i dont ever remember that when i'm playing games on it. The picture is brilliant, and the size/curve is amazing. The adjustable curve model is about the only replacement i'd accept over it now. Tried to like the ultragear 3440x1440 OLED model in the same size but the pixel density was noticeable to me.
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Nothing looks distorted to me, at first it's weird but after couple days you don't notice it anymore and it's just super immersive. Heard similar things from others, picture is clear using it at 80% sharpening. I had a flat ultrawide before and definitely prefer 800r now
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →The curve on the LG takes a bit of getting used to but I really enjoy it now!
r/ultrawidemasterrace • View on Reddit →Personally I’m very satisfied with my LG 34GS95QE. Idk if it’s available to you and for what price but in Germany it’s pretty cheap right now, has great picture quality. It’s matte, I also have the 27GS95QE which is the same monitor but not ultrawide. And honestly I have the feeling matte is the way to go. People talk, people sometimes sneeze and what not. It’s impossible to not have any kind of dirt on your screens and might it be very small. Good luck keeping this glossy screens clean. At least for the Alienware I heard it’s nearly impossible to keep clean.
