Taj UW je full dobar monitor, osobito za produktivnost. Uzmeš njega, prodaš ova dva i to je to. Preko kvm-a se swichaš po potrebi, možeš imati i oba racunala na ekranu side-by-side, to super radi.

Lots of experience with the IPS P3425WE but recommend the VA S3425DW all day, it's just a nicer more capable image in every way. If money isn't a problem then the IPS Black U3425WE is probably even nicer to look at. but its over priced because of Thunderbolt.

I went from a 34 inch 3440x1440 ultrawide from dell to a 32 inch LG glossy 4k oled and I wouldnt go back. Ultrawide is good for sim games and productivity but kinda shitty in other games, at least for me. The standard aspect ratio of 16x9 or 10 is perfect

I recently bought a used 34” Ultrawide Dell from Marketplace. I love the real estate I get. However, Mac Bar is so small and you cannot make it bigger… that’s my sole complaint since I use it for work purpose.

Tbh I had the same dilemma. I had a dell 34inch 3440x1440 monitor( not oled though) , I thought 16:9 was a thing of the past for me but I was dead wrong. The moment I fired up my 321urx I just fell in love with it.

I just received a dell 34” today. imo Side by side screens are still just as sufficient as 2 24” monitors. I also went to a micro center where they had a 40 inch on display, and it just felt like too much monitor. It’s 21:9 too, and quite lovely if I’m being honest, but 34 really feels like that sweet spot. As for a rec I’ll just say I did a bunch of research, and felt the best monitor for my needs was the dell u3425we. I was able to get one off eBay for a few hundred less than msrp. I considered the dell p3424we because it is cheaper, and it had comparable specs as the u34, but the u gives more ports and 120 Hz compared to 60 (among other things I’m sure). If those things aren’t super important to you then I think you could save some money by opting for the p34. No matter what you choose I recommend exploring the ‘open-box’ market for a good deal. Good luck!

I went from a Dell 34" UW to a Dell 49" UW and honestly the 49" is too wide for productivity. Now admittedly the curve on the Dell is not as aggressive as some of the Samsungs, but the edges of the screen are out of my field of view and require too much rotation of my neck to be useful to me. When I bought the monitor, I thought I was going to make greater use of the picture-by-picture feature to run a customer laptop and my work laptop at the same time but turns out that was not a scenario I really needed (most of my customer's would rather give me a VDI than send me a laptop). I like it for gaming, but I am considering moving to a 38 or 40" 21:9 monitor after tax season.

I love my G9 57 but its a lot of display. I have MS Fancy Tiles which lets me snap my windows to whatever size I want and I have it set to give me 5120x2160 in the center and then on both side I have 1280x2160 which is plenty of space for my music program, or discord or whatever its nice. I came from 3 displays. Two 23" 1080p displays and in the middle a dell 34" ultrawide. I liked that but with my G9 57 I dont miss having 3 displays at all there is just so much room on this one its more than I know what to do with sometimes. Mind you, I've had 3x displays for over 10 years. I tried going down to 2 but that didnt work out I had to get my three again. I dont miss it now though. I think if I had only 5120x2160 i'd want two more displays still.

Only issue I have had or am having is finding a compatible monitor arm that doesn't sag nor cost as much as a second monitor so I can put a soundbar on the desk

I recently got a 34" Curved Dell Ultrasharp. I was a little bit worried that I would prefer my dual 27" setup, but I really love it as a solo monitor. I mostly play Path of Exile at this stage of my life with the occasional CS2 or single-player game like Cyberpunk or Oblivion. All my games have supported the 21:9 ratio just fine, but of course not every game does. I also do lots of web browsing while watching YouTube or sports. The curved 34" is perfect for everyday usage. My only compliant is the alt-tab I need to do during some games with a solo monitor. I might end up putting a 27" above the 34" as a secondary at some point, but I don't think I could go to a smaller primary monitor in the future. Maybe upgrade to a 42" LG C# years down the road, but the 3440x1440 is so incredibly usable.

> MacBook Air > Full HD resolution should be enough (?) I would advise against this. If you're looking for an ultra wide "work" monitor for a Mac, I have three recommendations. All are amazing and, while they "can" game, that's not what they're primarily designed for. * Asus PA34VCNV * Dell U3425WE * HP 734pm All of them are 34", 3440x1440 ultra wide, with USB or Thunderbolt hub, some have KVM. All are pre-calibrated. Asus is 60hz while the other two are 120hz. All have USB-C display with power delivery. Asus is 96W. Dell is 90W. HP has two, 100W and 65W. I think each will meet your needs. Just depends on your budget and which additional features you want from each. Hope that helps.

I'm in the 34"-world since approx 10 years. Two weeks ago exactly that Dell U3425WE has replaced my old flat LG. Everytime sitting in front of the new monitor i'm happy. It's a great monitor! It's the only available one (afaik) with a Black IPS-Panel, that's why have bought it (OLED is "too much" for that purpose). It's connected via Thunderbolt to my MacBookPro, so automagically 10 bit per channel. OK, i'm also editing a lot of photos for other photographers so everything has to be accurate. 120 Hz also does help. Soundwise it lacks treble but in most other aspects it's very nice for a monitor/bureau monitor. Everything is connectable what someone needs nowadays. Gaming with the PS5 isn't as impressive as on the big screen with heavy HDR in the living room, but good enough. You can easily have two (maybe two and a half (overlapping) windows open at once - love that. Would i buy it again? Yes.

I use a 5k2k ips daily for work, it offers so much utility with the vertical space, ppi, etc. It's such a great size for immersion that I tried out (but returned) the Dell ips black version to see if I could game too. I own the g9 oled, and it's an awesome monitor. Has Samsung qc issues, but I've gotten used to rebooting once in a while if there are glitches, etc. I love the glossy screen, and immersion is great on a lot of games with great 32:9 support. As a pure gaming monitor the 5120x1440 vs 5k2k will be subjective. You can make either immersive, and it's different types of immersion. For productivity the 5k2k is better, but you could do the g9 with a 4k 27" ips or similar easily. I assume you got the G9 for about half the price, so that's a big pro for it. Since you are in the return window, a few thoughts from a G9 owner who has thought about the 5k2k oled a lot: -How is your lighting in the room, do you ever use it with lamps or windows facing the screen? I'm big on glossy but it will be a mirror in those situations -Is this your only monitor or do you have room for a secondary? This is the big one. 5k2k is best of both worlds. -Have you had any issues with the screen? Waking up from sleep, artifacts or glitches when starting windows, black screens during gaming? A lot of these are tied to the crappy bundled cable. You can use a better dp cable or ideally a good hdmi one to fix most. There are still some inherent issues with the panel (I believe a part overheats) that I see once in a while with an upgraded cable -Can you try both? Seeing what type of immersion you prefer (wider field of view vs more vertical) will be key. This could be just looking at the 5k2k in a store at the same distance you would sit. I'm not planning to upgrade my g9, but I also use it upstairs just for gaming. I wouldn't use it downstairs for work and gaming, but it would be a toss-up between the 5k2k vs g9 and an ips 4k (and the blinds closed).

But it’s rather expensive … i was lucky that my ex-boss paid for it :) Edit: I have a MBP M1, I charge it through the monitor. Clean desk ftw :) Edit2: it has no HDR but I don’t really miss it. It’s bright and dark enough.

I'm concerned this would be TOO big. What's your desk setup like and use case? I'm currently in monitor decision paralysis mode myself. I've been using a Dell 34" ultrawide for years that I loved. I decided to finally treat myself to a new, bigger monitor and found a smoking deal on a 49" G9. I hated it at first. It felt too big and I couldn't figure out a solution for blurry text on my mac, so I immediately ordered a Dell 40" 5K2K. Over the next few days while waiting for the Dell to be delivered, I got used to the 49" and was starting to like it. The Dell showed last night and while I am in love with the crisp display, it now feels small and tbh, I prefer the additional width over height. I'm going to give it a few days to see how I like it, but I'm considering trying something else or going back to the 49" and dealing with the blurry text.

I see it as a long term investment into a more joyable experience during working - ive had my previous monitor (dell up2715k) for close to 10 years, and its still more clear than the U3425WE. I've ordered the 40WP95CP-W, which has 140 ppi vs the dell's 109.

I did not have the IPS requirement until I saw the black smearing on VA panels (scrolling white text on black background, which is similar to my use case of coding with dark mode on). Do you believe a higher quality panel like Dell S3425DW will have that issue? I also dropped Dell U3425WE solely due to no HDR. The more I look around, the more I feel that I'm not going to have much luck meeting all this, maybe even in the $1500-$2000 range.

Hey there, I ended up keeping the monitor. I found out the issue was actually with the AMD driver — for some reason, VRR wasn’t being enabled properly in certain scenarios. After installing an older version of the driver, everything started working perfectly. Maybe it’s already fixed in newer versions, but I decided to play it safe and just stick with the older driver ?? It’s worth mentioning that I did have a red vertical line appear on the screen about a month after the purchase. Dell promptly replaced the unit and sent a technician to my home — no hassle at all.

So, I pulled the trigger on a Dell U3425WE. I recently switched from a dual setup featuring a Dell S2721DGF and an LG 29UM69. My usage leans heavily towards productivity (about 80% coding), with the remaining 20% split between gaming and media consumption. **Thoughts so far:** • **USB Thunderbolt Connection:** The ability to swap notebooks with power delivery using a single cable is very practical. • **34” for Productivity:** Picture-by-Picture (PBP) works great with two different input sources. • **Software Network KVM:** Dell Display Manager is functional but lags, especially noticeable on MacOS. Sometimes, accessing the monitor’s OSD directly is quicker. I have a feeling that paid solutions like Synergy would achieve the same or better results. • **USB KVM:** Works well but lacks seamless mouse cursor movement between PBP screens. • **Light Bleed:** Present in all four corners, especially noticeable in a dark room. While not a major issue for work and coding, it’s inconvenient for media consumption and gaming. • **Audio Output:** Immediate switching to headphones isn’t supported; it functions more like a line-out, allowing audio through monitor speakers. (still testing that one) • **Speaker Quality:** The monitor’s built-in speakers are decent for monitor speakers. ~~•~~ **~~Gaming:~~** ~~As a casual gamer (mainly Overwatch), I found noticeable drawbacks in refresh rate and input lag. Gaming felt like a downgrade overall, with issues like high input lag, response times, and screen tearing detracting from the experience. AMD Adrenaline software reports Adaptive Sync, but it doesn’t seem to affect much; screen tearing is still noticeable.~~ **~~Don’t pick this monitor for gaming, especially if you’re used to Freesync or GSync compatible ones. I didn’t think I’d miss it so much until I lost those features.~~** ***UPDATE: Doing more tests on this one. I'll update the thread soon*** **~~TLDR:~~** ~~Great for productivity and static images. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming or media consumption, even for occasional use.~~ **Right now, I’m weighing these options:** 1. Returning the monitor and reverting to my old setup, possibly getting a standalone KVM. 2. Returning it and buying a Gigabyte M34WQ instead, which seems like a better all-around productivity/gaming monitor (although I might lose the curve and potentially sacrifice warranty and quality, based on my research so far). 3. Stacking the S2721DGF with the U3425WE to have the “best of both worlds” (though I’m concerned about my desk space being cramped). 4. Considering OLED and dealing with the worry of burn-in while using the display for work. **Update #1** LG model. Gaming review update. **UPDATE #2** I decided to keep the monitor. I take back what I said earlier about gaming. It seems there was an issue with my system or the settings. While it may not be ideal if your primary focus is "serious" competitive gaming, it works well for single-player and multiplayer games. I made a combination of changes, so I’m not sure which one specifically reduced the issues I was experiencing. However, I have a feeling that enabling VRR in the Windows settings, rather than just in the AMD Adrenaline panel, made a significant difference. Additionally, I’ve been turning off the Dell Display Manager and the KVM switch when I play games. **Some games I tested that worked very well:** • Titanfall 2 • Control • Overwatch 2 • Dishonored 2 • Subnautica • Bioshock Infinite • Quantum Break I also tested connecting my iPhone directly to the Thunderbolt port, mirroring the screen, and playing games from it. It worked perfectly. **TLDR:** If your usage leans more towards 80% gaming and 20% productivity, you might want to check out OLED monitors. If it’s the reverse, like in my case (80% productivity / 20% gaming), this monitor is perfectly suitable and quite versatile.

Ive just received the display and it looks awesome. However, what others have been mentioning, the text is not as sharp on a 4k display. It is slightly noticeable, I’ve been comparing it to both my Mac display & previous 27” 4k display. I love the look and screen real estate. The 40” version might be the sweet spot, but it’s roughly 800-1000 euros more expensive here, which I’m not willing to invest.
