Chiming in to recommend the Joolz Aer. Its great. US regulation doesnt allow totally flat recline but baby can sleep in it comfortably. The EU version does have flat recline. You can also get adapters to plop your infant car seat onto it.

We are in the same situation as you, city living, no car, no option to store the stroller at the ground level of our walk up. We bought a Joolz Aer + with a bassinet attachment- babys not quite here yet so I dont have a full review. But I am happy to say it feels really solid and not like just a travel stroller, especially with the bassinet attachment. Its a lot smaller than my friends bugaboo (because of course it is) so I dont know if we will use the bassinet attachment for as long. But it folds great, with or without the bassinet, and the bassinet is easy to take on and off, which is what we wanted for our 2nd floor walk up (3rd floor european) apartment. And I cannot imagine buying a heavier stroller than this - its supposed to be one of the lightest but still damn! 2 things I might see as negatives with use- 1. The suspension isnt as good as a full size of course. I am hoping it is good enough, but we live in a town with a fair amount of cobblestones and even some stroller approved hikes so I will definitely be putting it to the test! 2. I wish an engineer would make magic and find a way to make a lightweight travel stroller with the storage capacity of a full size- since we also dont have a car I know I will be filling the storage underneath to absolute max capacity and I wish it was bigger, but I know its not possible and actually the Joolz aer has been praised for having more room than other compacts. The way I reassured myself to pull the trigger on this one was to start with the smallest stroller that could work and get it on sale/ used. That way, if it didnt work out as an every day stroller, we had a good stroller for flights (all family lives abroad) and we could feel better about keeping this one for travel, store it away (like I said, it folds great) and theninvest in something more robust for every day if we really needed it. Good luck with your search!

I also have the Joolz Aer Plus and just tried out the minu v3. I had a hard time opening the minu V3. It is definitely not as smooth as the joolz. I dont know if I got a defective one or if thats the way it is on all. Is anyone having trouble with squeeza and fold/ unfold on minu v3? I absolutely love the one-handed fold, and the light weight of the Joolz. I hate the useless recline and the tiny under basket. The minu has a huge and capable basket and a great recline. Its a tough choice, but it is 3 pounds heavier also

Ma try mo watch si stroller mom for reviews. Depende kasi yan sa budget at lifestyle mo. Ako kasi ive decided na something handy for travelling pero makakanap si lo pag napagod plus pwede pangharabas sa mall or yun kaya ko and hassle-free kahit kaming 2 lang. i bought joolz aer kasi pwede din ako sumakay haha tapos kaya operate ng 1 hand. Namili nalang ako ng mga sabit sabit for cup holder and sabit ng bag or sa ilalim. Very durable din ??nagamit na ng panganay ko (until 4yo) then ngayon sa nb ko naman kaya sulit ??

I have the Aer+. Theres a bassinet attachment that you can purchase for a newborn- my baby used it and it seemed quite comfortable for her! I love that its a one handed fold too- very helpful when Im managing things by myself day to day. As for the recline, does your baby only sleep in full recline mode? My baby actually sleeps better in the Aer+ than my full sized Uppababy Cruz ?? Ive since discovered she doesnt like sleeping flat on her back when out and about

Im so surprised at everyone mentioning the UPPABABY? That shit is heavy duty and IMO not what the OP is looking for at all. Id highly recommend the joolzaer. Travel friendly, extremely lux European brand and allows bassinet attachment/ car seat so its perfect to use from birth. If you are in a typical urban/city living it will be perfect. If you are in rough terrain, might not be the most ideal but its under 7Kg, 8kg basket & fits everywhere and anywhere!!

Hi there. If you are worried about travel and wanting your stroller to fit in the overhead on the plane, then do NOT get the Butterfly. It is slightly too big to fit. I cannot speak for the Redsbaby Skip as I have not used it. I have the Redsbaby Jive though and I am 100% happy with the quality. For travelling we were gifted the Joolz Aer+ by my inlaws. I absolutely love it. It is light and practical and very easy to carry around. Also fits comfortably in the overhead compartment.

We love our Cybex e gazelle but its v heavy, wouldnt want to be taking it in and out of the car every day. Its also huge so hard to fit in some small shops and cafes round here. Our friends have the bugaboo and really like it. We also have a joolz aer for quick appointments/holidays and its amazing, so light. If it wasnt for the lack of storage space, wed probably use this as our full time pram.

I have the original Joolz Aer and it can be set up fairly upright for snacking and trying to keep the kiddo awake those last few minutes before getting home too ?? Overall amazing lightweight convenient and spacious stroller weve loved the most after owning and renting a bunch of other brands. They dont use flame retardants and other known toxic stuff in there too, which I love too.

I would do car service with car seat to and from airport, schedule ahead of time. Arecibo is one. I would do a travel stroller and baby carrier around the city. Our main stroller is the Joolz Aer+ and we love it. It has a great basket size, great handling on city sidewalks and one handed easy fold. Its narrow and easy to get around and compact enough when folded to fit into smaller cafes restaurants.

Yes! I have had the Joolz Aer for 21 months now. One of the reasons I got it was because of the smooth handling and wheels not getting stuck . My sister had a couple different strollers that I hated on city sidewalks cause they werent smooth and the wheels randomly stick. I have love the Joolz Aer.

The Joolz Aer + is amazing. Carryon sized, super lightweight, true one-handed collapse and push, very maneuverable, handles all terrain Ive taken it on including trails with roots and cobblestones, high height and weight limit, flat recline (the older US version isnt completely flat but flat enough for a comfy nap or a diaper change), very nice materials, big sun shade, big basket. Its my only stroller now. Its sturdier than the YoYo and feels nicer than the butterfly, its closest competitors, and its one-handed close/open/push is better than both.

I was at Baby Bunting recently and the Bugaboo Butterfly was on a raised shelf and did not have time to take it down and test it. I have used the Yoyo and though it feels strong, my partner and I could never get it to collapse effortlessly without some issue. The Joolz Aer+ test was fantastic. My partner struggled on first go to collapse as she was being too gentle, but on subsequent attempts was a natural and the weight and stretchy strap made it a breeze to carry. We were looking for a primary full size pram with parent facing and larger wheel features and ended up going with something else however out of all the travel prams this was the easiest and simplest to use and felt quite sturdy. Side note, the Bugaboo Butterfly has a 2+2 year warranty whereas the Joolz Aer+ has 10 years transferrable. I do not think you can go wrong with either so long as they are accepted as carry on. You may be able to get the Aer+ with bonus bumper bar for as low as $604 by clicking on Baby Bunting's product page price match + -5% link and using the current price at Banana Baby. I have used their service in the past and usually their response time is less than 24hrs.

Don't fall for the Uppababyhype. While it is a well built stroller,. it is overkill and after using other lightweight strollers feels way too heavy. They are also too big to travel with imo, even in cars unless you have a big SUV or Van. Great if all you are doing is walking flat ground to the park. One exception is possibly for the first couple months when your baby can't hold their head up yet, then it is nice to have a stroller with a bassinet or car-seat compatible options. Maybe see if you can borrow one for those couple months and then switch to something lighter after. Or just use a carrier for those months. (Although the Joolz does have a bassinet option also) If I was starting over I'd probably just go with one of the Joolz light weight stroller that also is easy to travel with. I've heard good things about the yoyo also. We took the Joolz Aer to Europe, fit in the overhead compartment and handled the cobble stone streets great.

Never been happy with Silvercross. Weve had the Silvercross full bundle - car seat was rubbish and the pram was heavy and impractical. Rucksack and hand warmers were a nice touch. I would avoid any Silvercross products based on my experience. Weve had the Bugaboo double (side by side, called donkey I think?!) - its good but a bit unwieldy, Doona one that converts to a car seat (useful but heavy and uncomfortable for child), Babyzen yo-yo (useful for travel but limited) and the Joolz aer which is great for travel (can get on a plane) and more versatile than the Babyzen so it can be used more like a normal pram - its been my favourite travel pram. On a side note, the Cybex car seats that rotate are amazing.

I know it's not on your list but I tried out a few travel strollers at Nordstrom (Libelle, Joolz Aer, Uppababy Minu, and one of the Nunas) and ended up going with the Uppababy Minu. It's supposed to fit in an overhead bin but can't confirm. Ergobaby Metro was on our list.

i have the joolz aer+. bought it for a holiday abroad and ended up selling my other prams (nuna mixx and cosatto giggle) and keeping the aer+ for my daily. i bought it when my baby was just turned 1, she's 3 next month and it's still in like-new condition. it's so sturdy and good quality, you can tell it's well made. i cant recommend it enough. the accessories are fab, it's lightweight and compact, easy to fold, easy to push, the extendable hood is a good size. absolutely 0 complaints from me! my friend has the bugaboo butterfly and the leather is scuffed from her walking through doorframes etc and the seat fabric has worn away - she's only had hers a year and has spoken with bugaboo who essentially said it's normal / common so i would avoid tbh

FWIW I hired a Yoyo for a two week holiday and loved the travel pram compared to our big Uppababy Vista, so I knew I had to make a purchase. I did a fair bit of research and compared the Redsbaby and Aer+ as well and I ended up purchasing the Aer+. Zero regrets, worth every penny. Its way more sturdy than the Yoyo and just better quality/features. The Vistas in the garden shed now lol. I use the Aer+ daily!

We got the skip 3 recently and am loving it so far. Had the yoyo 2 previously that I got second hand off fb marketplace and so many little things annoyed me so I wanted to replace it. Also liked the Joolz aer bt the price was a bit steep and skip was just a bit cheaper. I have a Cybex Gazelle and absolutely love it. It has built in adapters so that you can add another seat when you have your second baby and the weight capacity is the same for the top or bottom seat. The suspension is great, the basket is large, easy to fold and store in the trunk of my SUV, has adapters for the Nuna Pipa car seat, also has a bassinet attachment. I have pushed it with my toddler and infant easily. When we don't feel like using the second rumble seat, my toddler just hops in the basket at the bottom and relaxes comfortably. The shopping basket is also handy. I got the Joolz Aer as a travel stroller and also love it.

Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.

I have the Joolz Aer+ and it is really sturdy, good basket space, easy to fold down and quality materials. Only main difference between it and butterfly i found when researching was you just need to unzip the seat to recline it which takes a little longer than bugaboo, but it hasnt affected usability day to day. I just liked the feel and colours of Joolz more - I purchased the Taupe

I only have the Joolz Aer and haven't wanted or needed anything else. It just comes down to personal preference. I don't think everyone needs two strollers in NYC. But I think there are some people whose needs or preferences require them to have two. I personally hated my sister's huge strollers, in the city and in the suburbs. I find the Joolz Aer the perfect size for city life and very robust.

Another vote for the Joolz Aer. We started with the Uppababy Cruz with an Uppababy infant carseat for our 10 month old. I have a travel stroller. Most people I know stopped using a full or mid-size stroller by the time their child reached 18 months. They bought a travel stroller. I did a ton of stroller research. I tried a lot of friends strollers. The Yoyo is tricky to close and has a small basket. I dont like it. The aer also has a tiny basket. I had a Minu, not the strollers fault, someone crushed it by dropping their full size stroller on it at daycare. I replaced it with the Butterfly because my son is tall. I prefer the Minu. It folds even with stuff in the basket that's not the case with most travel strollers. Full and mid size strollers don't fit in boutique or cornerstone aisles. So you'll be leaving it outside. Also remember your 8 month old will be a 2 year old. Not all subway stations have elevators. You can't carry a mid-size stroller by yourself. You want something you can carry with one hand your child's hand in the other.

My time to shine as I've bought way too many prams (let's just ignore that financial irresponsibility). A few questions to ask yourself: - Will you want more than one kid? - How is the access to your house - Where do you live and how do you go out and about I will list some pros and cons for the ones I've had. - Yoyo - small canopy and smaller overall for a pram, even for a compact one, airline compliant, it does require two hands to fold it down - I've had two of these, one with me and one with my parents, ended up using a couple of times each - terrible on cobblestone - Joolz Aer+ - my favourite compact one, the canopy is huge (meaning that you can extend it to get the baby to sleep and almost no light passes) more stable and has significantly more space than the yoyo, lays down flat. It is also possible to fold it with one hand and carry it on the side on the tube - Icandy orange - if you want kids close by this will save you a few headaches. You can transform it into a double and it has an integrated buggy board, the basket holds a lot and it is easy access (seats are quite small), the sweet spot for this one is when your second kid is between 6 months and 16 months and your oldest is too big for a pram but can't walk a lot (between 2.5 and 4 I would say). The integrated buggy board for perfect for us during these months - other parents were kicking their buggy boards and always having to lift it up, walking on the side of the pram and I was cruising. I believe they have a new version now that icandy core? Which has an integrated buggy board and possibility of having different wheels. This pram is very bulky but great for country side walks, very stable, height adjustable handle. Again, very bulky but hey, a child can even fit on the basket - Bugaboo fox - amazing canopy, again, if your baby naps on the pram, you want this. Better looking than the Icandy Orange. Still behaves pretty well "off road". Folds a bit smaller than the Icandy and the seat fits a bigger child when comparing to the Icandy (I would say a much bigger child). If you are planning for one child only I would go with this one as a big pram. For 2, you will have to add an annoying buggy board that will be kicked and will be uncomfortable. Still bulky and not practical going up and down stairs but better than the Icandy - Double Britax - fits 2 kids up to 22kg each, got it for a holiday, used twice, easy to maneuver but very bulky, one more mm and would not fit on our garden door - if you need a double pram it is a good solution but if not twins you are probably better with a normal one. The canopy extends but it is mesh on the top, therefore light still passes (but you can see the children) - Out n About runner - very stable, I don't run but this is very cool and stable. We usually use it for travelling by train or when we feel like a bigger pram will be needed. It can fit two children sitting inside - a 4 yo can still nap inside if required. Very short canopy And I think these are the most relevant. If you are only going to buy one, I would say the Joolz aer, it is quite stable for a small pram and spacious as well. I, somehow, never liked any silvercross but I do see some people with it, for me, they never had a feature that would make me buy them (and I bought a lot of prams)
