We like our ergobaby metro + It fits in the airplane overhead compartments, has a nice sunshade, and it fully reclines if baby falls asleep in it.

We have the metro + and I love many things about it except that it is slightly harder to fold than many other travel strollers & it doesnt have an easy carry strap or great way to grab it. We havent taken it on a trip yet but I think we will keep it as a stroller to keep in the car (and let our Nuna mixx be our daily neighborhood walk stroller that stays in the garage) but will look at other travel options.

Get ergobaby metro plus or similar and you have a daily driver and travel stroller in one. Ive heard good things about bugaboo butterfly or uppababy minu. Unless youre planning to use the under basket storage a lot (e.g. you are a one car family and will use it to walk and go grocery shopping, etc) then a travel stroller would probably suit you just fine. A lot of ppl dont realize this I dont think. P.s. the honest truth is that a lot of people will recommend expensive baby products not because they are actually great (although many are) but because they have to justify the cost to themselves. I see this a lot with car seats- people love to recommend expensive seats when more affordable ones fit better in their car, are less likely to be outgrown and are easier to install.

I have a Cruz with two winter babies (November and December). I will say its not the best for all snow- but can handle about 6 inches of snow max. Luckily I wasnt forced to go out in these conditions too much with my baby. With my second there were instances I had to walk the older one to daycare in heavy snow with the baby and I just baby wore the younger one. The jolly jumper carrier cover is amazing for covering the carrier and can also be used on the stroller. If you go with the uppababy cruz o would recommend getting the heavy rain shield. Its very robust and protects the fabric in rough conditions. I think eventually you will probably want a travel stroller for trips and as a backup. It also affords more trunk space (think driving to a weekend getaway with a few big bags). I have an ergobaby metro plus which I also love for this purpose and it fits in the overhead bin nicely.

I have the OG ergo baby and recently went to Montreal with it and found cobblestone streets kind of tough. Its doable but not enjoyable for the baby. I did my best to avoid it (they have strips of concrete that make it easier in spots). No experience with the mompush but I think even a full size stroller like an uppababy cruz would struggle a bit. Ergobaby metro has been great for us. We have used it on several trips- planes and trains, Europe, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, Florida, Mexico its now out daily driver. Has a ride along board you can purchase which is GREAT for airports with two kids under 5. I dont know what Ill do when my oldest grows out of it, its so handy!

If youre considering the UPPAbaby Minu V3, definitely check out the Ergobaby Metro+ 3. Theyre very similar, but the Metro+ 3 is $350 compared to $550 for the Minu. You can usually find a 15% off coupon with a quick Google search, and Ergobaby offers 20% off for teachers, nurses, and military. I was torn between the two, but after watching a million reviews, I realized the Minu V3 didnt offer anything the Metro+ 3 didntat least not anything that justified the extra $200. Ive taken the Metro+ 3 out a few times and it pushes greatsmooth and easy to steer one-handed. The basket holds over 20 lbs, the seat sits very upright (a must for my baby), and it also fully reclines for newborns. The ventilation is better than on the Minu, which was a top priority for me since we live in a warm climate. It has a one-handed auto-fold (huge win!), and while the unfold isnt quite as smooth, Ive still managed it one-handed. I also got the bumper bar since my baby loves holding onto those. One of my favorite features: it fits behind the drivers seat of my Prius! That was a big deal because our main strollerthe Cybex Gazelletakes up the entire trunk. Before this, I had the Cybex Libelle (open-box from goodbuybaby.com). It was finesuper compact and came with a car seat adapterbut I didnt love that it didnt sit upright and had no peekaboo window. I wouldnt have paid $300 for it, but I got it for $150 and sold it for $100 after one trip when my baby was 5 months old. Now that my baby is using the stroller seat more, I wanted something more comfortable and better qualityand the Metro+ 3 has totally delivered.

I live in Montreal and have the Metro 3 for my 6 month old since birth. It isn't the best with bumps and I find that it is very easy to accidentally slam it into even the smallest curb edge. That said, I absolutely love that stroller. It folds down to nothing and I can easily store it in my coat closet of a tiny apartment. My son also loves bumps so the minimal shocks is a non issue for us. One con - I'm not sure if this is normal for other strollers but the basket gets soaked when it is raining, even with their rain shield. There is also the Metro 3 deluxe that was released after I bought mine. I wish I had it. Other than including some accessories, the main differences are a magnetic buckle and a carry strap. I really wish I had the strap since I live near a metro stop without an elevator and the idea of being able to toss it on my shoulder and free up a hand sounds amazing. I haven't been able to test it out in the snow yet but I don't expect it to do well beyond an inch or so, but I think that can be said for the majority of travel strollers. For accessories: I love the rain shield and bumper bar. I fold the rain shield into a packing cube and throw it into the basket whenever it looks a little grey outside. The bumper bar is great for attaching toys. My son is also small enough to use it as a footrest lol. I have the snack tray and bug net too but haven't used them yet. The backpack is also nice for when we are out and choose to swap to baby carrying. It is easier for my partner to throw it on his back and have both hands while I carry the baby.

Third the metro+. It is my in the car stroller as well as my travel stroller. It is not flimsy and sturdy for its size. The trifold helps with that I think, rather than folding umbrellas style. I just took it to Mexico and it was fine on the dirt/gravel roads. Before I got it, I remember reading review that it handled cobblestones well enough. It does have some suspension. Ill be taking it to Ireland in the spring to test out!

You arent going to get a travel friendly jogging stroller. I would just baby wear for hikes while travelling. For a car seat friendly travel stroller, I would recommend the ergobaby metro 3. It is newborn friendly even without the car seat as it has a bassinet mode. You would have to get a car seat that works with the adaptors. I have the older version (Metro+) and love it. Its been on 5 plane trips, with two out of country. We just came back from Ireland this week and it was great.

The ergobaby metro+ is a great travel stroller! It goes flat, so its safe from birth. Folds up small - they claim carry on sized. Ive taken it on 4 plane trips, but always gate checked it. The sunshade is big and the adjustable height handle is nice. I just came back from Mexico (not at a resort) and it can handle rough road pretty well.

We have the ErgoBaby Metro Plus and love it. We got it as a travel pram for my eldest when he was 10months to go to Rome, but used it as the main stroller exclusively after he was 1 as our bugaboo fox was just too bulky. The metro lightweight but sturdy, steers brilliantly with suspension (which a lot of travel strollers dont have) and has extendable handle. As a tall person, this is the best bit. It also has lie flat, again something other big name travel strollers dont have, which for my son was important as he napped in it all the time. We are now using it for my daughter and have done since she was a newborn. Negatives is that its probably a little bigger than others and I never trusted that it would fit in the overhead storage of a plane so have always gate checked it. Basket is small but in line with others on the market. I would definitely buy it again if I needed to, but I would be tempted to try the bugaboo butterfly also.

We just got this for upcoming travels. It seems like it is a nice stroller, but Im not terribly impressed with Ergobaby as a company. They recently increased the price of the stroller by $80, right before Black Friday - presumably to make a markdown look like a deal. I know lots of companies do this but it sucks. I also ordered a carry bag for it just a few days ago from their Canadian website, but they charged me in USD. It was most definitely an error because a) Ive ordered from there before (recently, for the stroller!) and been charged in CAD, and b) it isnt the same price on the US site. Their customer service has been less than helpful and I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Just be careful ordering from them and make sure youre being charged in CAD.

We brought the Ergo Baby Metro Plus. It is an our daily stroller- but also folds up to fit in the overhead cabin on a plane (very compact!). It is slim, and can lay down completely flat when the child is inside for naps if needed. Its a pricier stroller- but we have had it for 2 years now and its been a breeze! On the boat itself, we only used it when waiting in line for character meet & greets, we carried her, or she walked the other times when she was 18 months when we went on the Fantasy for a week. It fit under the bed with no issue when we werent using it!

We love our ergobaby metro+. Its in a cheaper price category than the yoyo so it wont be quite as nice but it does recline fully flat which is a feature we use a ton for naps on the go even when they can sit up properly. We also used the regular uppababy seat reclined all the way back with the infant sung seat cushion as another option for your current stroller. Since its the regular seat itll be plenty long.

We have the ergobaby metro+ which I believe has been discontinued but if you can find it we love it especially for the price point. Regardless I would never get one that couldnt lay flat for this age/young toddlers because it makes naps on the go so much easier. My big 14mo can still nap in it comfortably.

Also you already have the Metro 3 and the only criteria it doesn't meet is the easy fold/unfold? I would not spend the cost of the stroller and the shipping/duties on an EU version of the bugaboo just for an easier unfold. If you're going to spend that amount of money why not look into something completely different like the Joolz Aer+ or another travel stroller all together. Personally I have the ergobaby metro+ and I can't compare it to the Metro 3 but sure the unfold is a little clunky but it has never caused me so much stress or issues that I would replace it.

In my research there were lots of people saying although their stroller met the size requirements they were still asked to gate check it, just FYI. We went with the ergobaby metro+. Not quite budget but on the cheaper side (also got it on Black Friday so it was even a better deal). Can't compare it as it's the only one we've tried but we're happy with it. It lies flat, has a nice sun shade, adjustable handle bar, does meet the overhead bin requirements for most airlines. We also got the bag which allows it to be worn like a backpack. It's a bit weird as a backpack but it's also handy in a pinch.

I got it on Black Friday 2024 from ergobaby's site for $289. That was the absolute lowest I had seen it and was watching around that time. It's only our travel stroller but I love it and I think it's soon going to become the one we leave in the car for quick errands now that our LO is getting older and the snow is gone. I would prioritize a stroller with lie flat over parent facing. I know it's weird to get used to them facing out but the lie flat is clutch for naps on the go and will be a feature you use for a long time. My (very big) 11mo can still nap in our travel stroller. Also that way you're certain your 3.5mo will be comfortable and is not in a position that could cause some harm. We have the ergobaby metro+ which is light and I could definielhy carry up stairs but isn't a one handed open. I think it's an amazing travel stroller for the price point but if you're willing to spend more there are probably better ones out there like the joolz aer.

No it's not one hand unfold but unlike some reviews I saw I find it really easy. I can see how that's handy but on our trips we haven't really been escalators and when we have run into them there have always elevators close enough that we didn't mind just taking a little detour. Its not made for hiking, but I take it out on gravel and dirt trails at the local conservation area every week and its decent. It wouldnt do well if there are lots of roots and uneven steep areas though. Havent tried snow - its too low to get over much deeper snow. Our vista is better in snow, but not great either.

We are happy with our ergobaby metro+ but I think that exact model has been discontinued but it seems to be available on some sites still. It does fit in the overhead bin however we've always gate checked it for our convenience and haven't had issues. The joolz aer and the stokke yoyo are really popular but we wanted something cheaper. However regardless of the stroller be prepared for them to tell you they have to gate check it, especially if you already have other carryons. If you really really don't want to you'll want a bag for the stroller and put it in the bag well before boarding so that they don't immediately clock it as a stroller when you walk by.

If I were to get a one full-size stroller this would be my top choice Stokke Yoyo3 - most well-known and guaranteed on board Joolz Aer - smooth ride, great accessories Joolz Hub2 - solid mid-size option Cybex Gazelle - good for 2 under 2 Bombi - good mid-size option Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - didn't like the first version, but these upgrades made it better Mamazing - good budget option Zoe Traveler - amazing canopy and solid stroller Inglesina Quid - cute solid compact stroller

Yeah, Ive taken mine to Ireland, Mexico, and a number of trips in Canada. Been great every time!
