Im just going to be honest, I think the bassinet attachments are a waste. Most strollers will take a bucket car seat with an adapter, and the stroller bassinets are so expensive to only use for a few months. We got the Chico key fit bucket car seat and a baby jogger city mini stroller. Love it. I also suggest checking out wirecutter reviews for baby gear. Youll get 100 different opinions on here, and its nice to see a neutral review of things like durability and price point.
r/Mommit What travel system (with bassinet attachment available) did you chose and why? ->I went with Baby Jogger City Tour 2 because it's really compact, we've had it in the overhead locker on several Ryanair flights. It was also half the price of other travel ones I looked at. It lies flat for naps and nappy changing on the go and we just use a Snooze Shade when required because nothing I found had a canopy that was good enough. If you go somewhere very sunny there are also points of the day where no canopy will really do the job. It's a travel stroller so the wheels are obviously not going to compete with something like a Nipper, we also use Out n About at home but it's been completely fine for trips including cobbled Italian streets. I just love that it lies flat and goes in the overhead locker so we can use it the whole time at the airports.
r/UKParenting The goldilocks travel stroller - does it exist?? ->I went with uppababy vista for our first baby because we planned on having more kids and the options to expand made sense for us. Highly recommend. Price tag is worth it and then some. Now that Im on baby number two (3yo and newborn) Im using the whole set again, except swapped to a Nuna car seat because I gave my Mesa to a friend who is still using it so another friend gave me her Nuna \_(?)_/ It is NOT travel friendly. We lugged it on a trip when my son was 10 months and it was a hassle. We bought an umbrella stroller (baby jogger city tour2 in costal) immediately after that trip and never looked back. Another word of caution - it has a large footprint so you need the storage space for it. We keep it in the garage or tucked into a corner of our dining room if we have to bring it in... but its definitely not for compact spaces/ small cars/ limited storage. Also note - I use the bassinet on a stand in my bedroom as babys sleep space for now and will transition her to our crib in the existing nursery when shes ready and my son is settled in to his big boy room (hes still in the nursery with a toddler rail on the crib).
r/BabyBumps Please just tell me what stroller to buy ->I got the uppababy system with my first, now on my second and its back in daily use as a double. Its a behemoth so it only makes sense if you already drive a larger SUV and live in an area where big wheels are needed. When my first was a bit older and in a regular car seat we switched to a travel stroller (baby jogger city tour2) becuase its lighter and more compact but would break out the uppababy for the bigger basket and better suspension as needed.
r/NewParents Infant travel systems - new parents ->I was given a used Baby Jogger City Tour and it's really great; It totally saved us on a trip to visit family 5 hours away, and was easy to pack because of the size. This one is in the travel stroller category (folds like a suitcase size, versus an umbrella stroller with 2 handles that folds long and narrow). I'm really happy with it, and I'm happy to have it over the classic umbrella stroller.
r/NewParents Best durable umbrella stroller good for travel ->We got a secondhand Baby Jogger City Mini for a trip to Florida definitely not rugged terrain, but the stroller was durable and comfortable (and I read that these are the ones Disney rents out at their parks for those reasons, but cant confirm 100%). More importantly, Id suggest going secondhand because itll likely get beat up in transit. You can also get a travel bag to pop it in at the gate to help keep it clean.
r/moderatelygranolamoms Best travel stroller for Europe ->The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is a good in-store option with full recline - Baby Bunting will price beat Amazon which tends to have it a slight discount. Weve used ours for multiple international trips, never a problem carrying it on. The only downside is the basket is a bit small.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu Best travel stroller/pram: RedsBaby V3, Uppababy Minu V3, Pixi Travel Stroller ->It does not have a decent sized basket at all (but Im not sure any true travel prams do?) but the baby jogger city tour 2 is great for tall kids. My tall 2.5 year old still fits very comfortably in it.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu Travel strollers for tall toddlers ->See if you can find a used Baby Jogger City Mini to use for your trip and resell afterwards (or keep!). I got one for free second hand from a coworker. Didnt think much of it, but MAN can that thing handle all the bumps and crazy tree roots in our neighborhood. We can take it on trails even. Its slimmer than our main stroller (Nuna Tavo), less storage space, but handles amazingly well. Our Nuna is actually terrible at getting over tree roots or uneven sidewalks.
r/Mommit Should we bring our main stroller to Italy? ->I have the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 and love it! So lightweight, it has a nice fold, and my Graco car seat snaps in with adapters (sold separately). I think they have some other brands' car seat adapters too. Edit: I got mine as an open box on eBay, and it's in great condition and was around $100. Don't be afraid of open box or second hand!
r/Buyingforbaby Stuck on travel strollers ->We have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 travel stroller with the adapters for our Graco carseat, and we use this combination for almost everything. It's great for car and air travel, but also just as a small around-town stroller. It's great for bringing into casual restaurants and places like breweries and food halls, and also great for shopping trips. We also have a Graco Modes Pramette that we got second hand and use that with a separate bassinet attachment (the convertible seat/bassinet is pretty wobbly so we don't use it anymore), but since it's pretty big we only use it for walks around the neighborhood and don't take it along with us when we drive anywhere. We did this once and it was a PITA and barely fit in my SUV! Now we just take the baby jogger everywhere, and now that my baby is 3 months and can hold her head up better, we feel comfortable using the baby jogger in the recline mode (it's not all the way flat) if we don't keep her in the carseat atrached. She's still too small for being strolled around in the baby jogger alone without the carseat (she's tiny and the stroller straps are still pretty loose on her), but eventually we'll use it as our only stroller and get rid of the Graco one.
r/Buyingforbaby Anyone just have a travel stroller? ->Definitely invest in a good pram first since they generally last longer and more sturdy but I would get it second hand. Not worth paying thousands of dollars if a second hand one does the trick! I initially wanted the bugaboo but I couldnt justify myself paying thousands of dollars for brand new one and I felt awful asking my parents to buy it since they were offering to buy a pram as a gift. So we decided on the steelcraft which we had no issues with and used it up till bubs was about 3 then we purchased a travel stroller (baby jogger tour 2) to travel overseas. When I was pregnant with my second, we saw a second hand bugaboo for sale and purchased it. No regrets at all and I did a lot of research on that specific model and they are the best in my opinion for off roading. But it all comes down to how many kids you are planning to have, their age gap, and how often you use the pram/stroller. Our kids are 4 years a part so getting any double pram was useless since our 4 almost 5 year old (15kgs) would be too heavy for the second seat anyways. Most prams seat limit are probably between 17-23kgs so keep that in mind and check the limit. Prams are good for going on your daily walk or big trips like to the zoo or a park since it will be easier to push on uneven ground, more comfortable and generally have much more storage compared to the strollers. Strollers are great for travel and bigger kids. We used it when we had to run to the shops quickly or going out for lunch. Something easy to take out quickly but can be purchased later down the track.
r/NewParents Strollers - what did you wish you knew before you bought? ->We also purchased the City Tour 2 over the Aer +, Butterfly and Yoyo. From a price point and reviews the City Tour 2 was a better pick. I would recommend watching The Stroller Workshop on YT of the strollers you are after and even read the comments that how we ended up with our stroller! FYI - the City Tour 2 did not fit in the overhead compartment but we gate checked it (Singapore airlines).
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu Stroller advice ->Maybe check out the baby jogger city tour 2. Its travel friendly and light. There are adapters for a baby jogger or graco infant seat. It doesnt have a bassinet function but does lay flat with adjustable calf support. I was a nanny for family who had it and while I didnt take it on hikes, I had no issue pushing it on non-paved park trails. If I was you, I would purchase a stroller that meets your other needs and then decide later if you still need a more heavy duty stroller for hiking.
r/BabyBumps Am I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers? ->We took a totally different approach, which was to get the stroller we wanted for at home and to get a rugged stroller for cheap second hand for travel. We got a baby jogger city mini for travel for $50 on marketplace. Its large but it folds so easily with one hand and it has some other features that are great for travel like a very good sunshade and a decent cargo basket. We were also able to get an adapter for our baby bucket car seat which was awesome. We gate check it without a bag. Its flown around 10 times and is so far still going strong.
r/beyondthebump • View on Reddit →Highly recommend biting the bullet and planning on two strollers, or you will end up compromising way too much on ideal qualities of either. We got a Bob stroller with infant attachments and I love that thing still 2.5 years later. It's great for hikes and tougher terrain compared to a standard stroller. I even prefer it for grocery store runs. Any big day trips where I can take up most of the trunk with it, I enjoy using it. We also got a very compact Baby Jogger stroller (note: not a jogging stroller, just the brand name) for longer travel and other tight spaces. It also has infant attachments and we found it useful from early on. For airport travel, I would never want to deal with my Bob. Even for outings at restaurants I highly prefer bringing the compact one, in case little one needs a spot to sleep. I've seen our friends try to bring their unwieldy larger strollers and they are such a hassle in many cases. Also, in general, it's just the more practical way to throw in a stroller "just in case".
r/fitpregnancy • View on Reddit →We use a second hand baby jogger city mini as a travel stroller (our day to day stroller is a vista). The city mini has a pretty wide wheelbase at the back but is much narrower than the vista at the front. Its not small but it folds super easily (one hand) and is sturdy. My main complaint is the basket under the seat is tiny compared the vista. It was only $50 so were not precious about it and it can be thrown under a plane or bus without much worry.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →I have a Baby jogger city tour 2 as my car stroller and I like it
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →So it all depends on your budget and what you are looking for. For a car seat I went with the Graco snugride 35 lite, as it is one of the lightest car seats, that also has a high safety rating, but also doesn't cost a kidney to buy. 7.2lbs car seat +7.9 lbs baby = lifting 15 lbs repetitively. For our everyday stroller we went with the baby jogger mini GT2, I love it as it is a more heavy-duty stroller now that he's older. I did regret it in the beginning when he was so small, I wish I got a stroller with a bassinet attachment since I love to go on walks. But now that he's older and bigger and can fit in the straps and not have to snap on the car seat all the time, I love it. For a travel stroller we got the baby jogger City tour 2, it's only 14 lbs and it's overhead bin carry on approved size and comes with a carry bag to protect it. For a convertible car seat, I'm looking into the evenflo 360 extended, but more searching and reading is needing to be done. But I am favouring ones that rotate, my must have is extended height and weight limits. Edit to add: both strollers have attachments to be able to snap the car seat in that we have to make them a travel system. The Mini GT2 came with them, the city tour 2 we had to buy separately.

r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →The absolutely perfect baby gear for all scenarios does not exist. I would advise looking on Facebook marketplace to find items secondhand if you want to purchase multiple strollers. You dont need to get everything before the baby comes. Most strollers (especially jogging strollers) cannot be used until baby is 3-6 months old. You may want to use the Doona at first while you figure out what is important to you. Your baby will likely outgrow the infant car seat by age one. So you can use the Doina for travel during this short-lived time. You will then travel with a convertible car seat which does not click into any stroller. I recommend taking a look at the Uppababy Minu V3. It has a bassinet mode built in and can have a car seat click in (only certain models). It also folds up small enough to go in the airplane overhead compartment. We got a used Uppababy Cruz V1 on FBMP. I used it a lot in the early baby days with the car seat. I had the bassinet, but ended up babywearing most often. I especially preferred babywearing when we went to events and other crowded spaces. So much easier than making our way with a stroller. I started using the stroller more in the toddler days as my son has global delays and was a late walker. I got a Baby Jogger City Tour during Black Friday sale to use as our travel stroller. Neither stroller is perfect, but both have been great to have for different reasons and uses. I just gave birth to our daughter and got the Uppababy Minu Duo stroller so I can take both kiddos out and about.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →Unpopular opinion since the Uppa baby vista is rated at #2. I hated that stroller. Sure is it the Cadillac of strollers with a smooth ride. Yes. But its so big, bulky, cumbersome, navigating it through busy areas or even just the amount of trunk space it takes up was not worth it, imo. It seems more of a status symbol at this point. We ended up with #14 the baby jogger city mini. Its a beautiful compact full size stroller that is easy to handle and even easier to handle solo. I used it many times flying solo with my little one all the way up to the gate. I could hold him and still fold the stroller one handed. It moves well, is compact, and easy to navigate through crowds. My only complaint is the seat is a little big for small babies so use and insert or car seat adapter, and the seat does sit rather far back but my kid doesnt mind. Well be using it again with #2
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →We bought a caddy type stroller (babytrend snap & go) when our twins were first born. Really convenient and easy to take around. I waited until black friday to SPLURGEEEEE on not 1 but 2 babyjoggers ??. Theyre 30% on black friday plus either amazon (15% off) or target (15% + 5% if using red card) completion discount. Getting 2 was only a bit more than getting 1 when not on sale. It worked in our favor bc they were born only a few months away from black friday. Ok we love both the babyjogger double strollers so I imagine the single versions would be amazing as well. The mini gt2 is so smooth and easy to take them shopping and around the city in. Also got the summit x3 because that is an actual jogging stroller (mini gt2 is not). I get such a good workout in with that one. Both worth the purchase and the wait. We still use the caddy as well for more tight places like the doctors officewill be using that one for as long as they fit in their infant carseat.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →The baby jogger city mini is great with the car seat attachment. Being able to manipulate it with one hand is rare and priceless
r/washingtondc • View on Reddit →I highly recommend looking for second hand options. We got an UppaBaby Cruz V1 in 2022 for $200 on Facebook marketplace. Tag says it was made in 2018 and the thing is a tank. It came with the bassinet and I bought a new UppaBaby car seat to go with it. We are expecting baby 2 now and will have a 27-month age gap. I plan on buying the new UppaBaby Minu Duo to use with both kids. I personally would not want the Vista due to its size. I prefer side-by-side for double strollers and am glad to have a lightweight option for both everyday use and travel. I got a Baby Jogger City Tour 2 for 60% off to use as a smaller travel stroller with my firstborn. It is more lightweight and compact compared to the UB Cruz. When we travel, either by plane or super packed car, it is the only stroller we bring. However, the UB is sooo much nicer. You really do get what you pay for.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →We have a Baby Jogger City Tour 2, its been to Europe and on domestic USA trips with us several times, both in cabin and checked at the gate, my 4yr old sometimes still sits in it, my 2yr old loves it. The level of recline available is awesome for naps and it has held up great on all kinds of terrain. My kids sometimes sit together on it (combined weight around 70lbs) and it does fantastic. If we were to have another kid, I honestly would not bother getting a different stroller, I would just get the car seat adapters for whatever infant car seat we choose. My only con is that I wish the sunshade was a little bit bigger as we live somewhere quite sunny, but its really not a deal breaker.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →We got a stroller that could clip to our car seat. We looked at travel strollers but a lot of them are not super sturdy, have little space for cargo, dont lie flat, and they can be tricky to fold. In the end we settled on a used baby jogger city mini as our travel strollers. Its not compact, but the one handed fold is awesome for when you need to collapse your stroller for public transit or to carry up the stairs (hello Netherlands). It has space to carry the diaper bag, it lays flat and has an awesome shade for naps, and it has big wheels so is good for a variety of terrain and longer walks. We got ours used so its not precious and we just gate check it without a bag or cover.
r/beyondthebump • View on Reddit →Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Just travelled to Disney with 2yr old son and travelled both legs with stroller as carry-on with us during the trip. Also, can handle lots of weight for shopping and backpacks. Comfortable to sleep in (flat mode) 5/5 stars
r/TravelHacks • View on Reddit →I had the baby jogger city mini and I will sing its praises to the high heavens. It was, to me, very expensive, and it was the most expensive thing on my registry - did not expect to receive it. The onw-handed fold and the light weight were life savers multiple times when I had to take the stairs somewhere unexpectedly
r/DuggarsSnark • View on Reddit →Oh man, I remember the stroller decision all too well. My advice, narrow down to the few youd like the most and then buy used. Dont waste your money buying new. You have more time than you need to set up Facebook marketplace alerts and wait for a good deal to come up. Youll want to buy the car seat new, but you can get adapters to match to a different brand if needed. Also, spending less money takes the pressure off buying a stroller youll use forever, and (if you have the space) allows you to buy different strollers for different purposes. At first we bought a Maxi Cosi stroller/car seat package (new but deep discount), but the stroller kind of sucked. So we kept the car seat and sold the basically new stroller and found a good deal on a second (or third?) hand UppaBaby, which we liked because it had a really nice bassinet attachment. Bassinet was great for the first few months, but ultimately the stroller was bulkier than we wanted. When our daughter was able to sit up on her own, we switched to a much more compact Baby Jogger (not to be confused with a jogging stroller) that became our travel stroller (bought new in box but for a steep discount on Facebook Marketplace). Shortly after we lucked into a very worn looking but super sturdy Bob Jogging stroller as a hand-me-down from a friend. Our daughter is almost 3 and we still have these two to this day and have been using them over 2 years. The Bob sits in our garage and we take it on walks around the neighborhood. The Baby Jogger stays in our car, and we use that when we drive somewhere or travel out of town. We live in a pretty walkable area so we actually use the Bob more often, but the Baby Jogger is surprisingly durable and has taken a lot of abuse, getting a lot of get checks and a lot miles walking around various cities weve travelled to.
r/daddit • View on Reddit →We have the baby jogger city tour 2. It comes with a cart bag and folds fairly small. Its also a less expensive option (at least in Canada ahaha)
r/toddlers • View on Reddit →We have the Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Ultra compact and love it. We took it on a trip when little dude was 6 months old and he slept in it no problem. He's just over 2 now and he can still sleep in it. We were at the mall this weekend and he slept almost an hour while we ate and shopped. It says it fits in the overhead but we just gate check it so we don't have so many carry ons. Only complaint is the tiny storage underneath but I've now bought a cute Disney attachment for when we go to Disney in the new year.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →Nuna TRVL works with the Pipa and their products are generally great. How old is your kiddo? We have a Babyjogger city tour 2 and used that + a travel carseat pretty early on (but we always checked our carseat, never carried it on, so we didn't care about the carseat working with the travel stroller.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →I just got back from a trip with my 5-month old. Our direct flight was 16 hours. I made sure I packed light for my carry-on because my baby is on the heavier side and Im a petite person. Stroller recommendation: Baby Jogger City Tour. Fits in the overhead bin and about 14lbs. I gate checked the stroller. If you are formula feeding, I suggest using this storage bag for the powder as it saves so much space in your handcarry/ personal bag unlike the stackable plastic container. https://preview.redd.it/wtff591fad9f1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d76f438c0924932995c91ee302adecc7323ad5a
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →Baby jogger is owned by Graco but is their luxury line. I LOVE my Baby jogger car seat and stroller. I even got the same brand double stroller for my next!
r/beyondthebump • View on Reddit →It does not have a decent sized basket at all (but Im not sure any true travel prams do?) but the baby jogger city tour 2 is great for tall kids. My tall 2.5 year old still fits very comfortably in it.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →We really like our Baby jogger city tour 2.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →I wouldnt bring either. I would bring a cosco scenera next for carseat because its cheap and lightweight and a travel stroller that folds small (i reccomend city tour 2 because its inexpensive and we love it, but babyzen yoyo, uppababy minu or bugaboo butterfly are all also highly reccomended). Buy travel stroller secondhand to save money. You cannot use your doona as a stroller in europe. Like absolutely not. At that point its an incredibly heavy carseat, i wouldnt want to lug that accross the globe. Your main stroller is also so bulky and heavy.
r/Mommit • View on Reddit →Baby jogger city tour 2 is our travel stroller! Nearly lie flat for our 4 month old and we shared it with a 20 month old on a trip depending on nap times. Also folds flat and comes with a belly bar for easy transportation. Doesnt stand while folded though but we made it work
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →We are also car-free and have been since even before our now-6yo was born. Its totally doable! We had a city mini baby jogger and it worked great, even folded easily to hop on the bus. A cargo bike also helps when your kid is old enough.
r/washingtondc • View on Reddit →We have a baby jogger city tour and it's been brilliant, fully reclines, I fold it one handed, although I don't know how easy it would be for a smaller handed person ??, overhead compliant, comes with a shoulder bag so we put it in that before it goes in the overhead. The canopy was too small when my bub was littler so we combined it with a snooze shade for a bit of extra sun protection and napping on the move
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →Im just going to be honest, I think the bassinet attachments are a waste. Most strollers will take a bucket car seat with an adapter, and the stroller bassinets are so expensive to only use for a few months. r/Mommit • View on Reddit →We had the car seat attachment instead for when he was a newborn/infant. We had to convince GW hospital to let us walk home in the stroller + car seat ?? but it was very convenient for detaching quickly to use as a car seat carrier for catching the bus

r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →The city tpur is a a good one to consider, it feels more like a real pram then others in this category it's well made, there's an option for a proper bassinet if needed and also a belly bar
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →Very different approach, but we use an uppababy vista day to day and got a baby jogger city mini cheap on marketplace to use as our travel stroller. Its not small or lightweight and doesnt fit in the overhead, but its sturdy and we just gate check it naked (without a bag or any protection). This approach means we dont have to wrestle it onto the plane or pay for carry on luggage fees to bring it along. Once we get to our destination we have a full functional stroller that can carry a decent amount of gear, lays flat for naps, and has a fully functional sunshade. Weve flown with it probably a dozen times (and used it for a while at home as a backup when we had an issue with our vista) and its still holding up well. The other upside to the city mini is it folds up with one hand in one second, so if youre traveling somewhere where youre not allowed to bring an unfolded stroller on transit (London, England, for example) you can fold it up quickly when its time to board.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →I love our Vista V2 which I've had since 2022. We're having another baby soon but not sure if we'll bother getting it set up as a double as my older one is pretty happy to walk. We might Just opt for a skateboard or seat attachment. I don't find the pram itself too heavy but I usually disassemble it before lifting into the car. I would say that if you do use public transport regularly or for travel you would probably want to pick up a travel pram too. We use the baby jogger City tour for that. The baby jogger isn't a bad little pram (very happy with it for occasional use) but it doesn't hold a candle to the Vista
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →I know its not exactly what you asked but we heard about lots of people being told they must gate check their tiny, expensive stroller, which seems like a recipe for damage. We didnt want that stress so we bought a used baby jogger city mini, wheel it up to the gate, then gate check. Its not precious because it was only $50 and it is very sturdy. Weve gate checked it about 10 times with no damage. The nice thing is if youre not trying to hide an expensive folding stroller from the gate agents, you can actually USE the stroller around the airport and right up to the gate.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →This!!! There is no need to buy new when there are tons and tons of strollers you can buy for a fraction of the cost secondhand. I loved the baby jogger city mini and it is widely available on listservs, parent Facebook groups, and Facebook marketplace.
r/washingtondc • View on Reddit →Hi! I just brought my 3mo baby to London for 10 days during their summer heat wave and this what I did and what I would do differently: 1) bring a baby carrier thats lightweight and easy to wash and can be used by both parents. We used it more than a stroller just to get around due to the lack of accessibility in London public transport. I also wore her in the taxi. Easy to wash because we had a blowout on the first day of when we were stuck in traffic. Also great for meals (we put a napkin on her head when she was napping or used a smaller plate to ferry the food over her). 2) we brought our Baby Jogger City Tour 2 that was near lie-flat and while we didnt use it often, she could nap in it and her being in the stroller gave us and baby a respite from the heat. Although the stroller doesnt stand when folded, it folded pretty compact when we needed to put it away in restaurants and it was light enough that I could carry it by myself when father was wearing the baby. A key reason why I picked this stroller was its price point because I didnt want to worry about it being damaged when handled by baggage (also a consideration for car seats. Youll also need to check in the bassinet attachment) and I would rather save the overhead space for other essentials like more diapers in case we get delayed or had an emergency layover. The near lie-flat was fine for her cause shes still pretty small and the 5 point harness made sure she wouldnt fall out. Also, great spot for changing a nappy if the toilets dont have a changing table or are inaccessible easily (lots of stairs in London!). 3) sleeping wise - our accommodation provided a pack and play/travel crib which she did the night time sleep in. Day time naps were mostly while we wore her/in the stroller or on a blanket on the floor (if we were back in accommodation). This worked well after the first night when she got used to it. 4) we brought our Nanit and the breathing band because lo and behold she successfully rolled onto her front while on the trip. The new Nanits have a speaker for white noise (with a few different tracks) and a night light. Keep in mind that it doesnt connect to public WiFi (e.g in hotels), but you can look up ways to circumvent by using a portable router that connects to the hotel WiFi and then connect the Nanit to it. 5) bring clothes that can be layered to match the weather! We had to buy some lighter weight and sleeveless onesies for her (and baby clothes are so cheap in London so I was okay getting her clothes that fit her perfectly then which might not last for very long ??). I noticed that she hit milestones on the trip, like rolling onto her front (she was only rolling from front to back before the trip) and was rotating around a lot more. Before the trip, we moved her from a bassinet to crib because she was starting to get stuck when she rotated in the bassinet, so I dont know if thats a consideration for bringing the bassinet. Our accommodation was kind enough to provide a crib, but you can always get a cheap one there if they dont. We also have a guava lotus as her main bed at home, which we would have brought and folds up small and easy to travel with. Hope this helps!
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I had the City Mini (probably an older model) for years in Boston and I thought it worked great. We took buses and trains all the time, although I don't think we folded it up very often on public transit because we always had crap (jackets, snacks, water bottles, etc) in the stroller that would have made it difficult to fold up (and my kid was usually sitting in it too). I thought its ruggedness was sufficient, even on snow.

It's one hand fold, lays almost totally flat ( need this for non-sitting babies), decent basket and canopy, fold out leg rest. It's not the cutest pram but got it for all the features and it has been great.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →Our friends used a city tour 2 by baby jogger when their baby was 4 months old for traveling. Were flying with ours at 3 months and so we got one too. It lies near flat, but her neck is pretty strong so were not worried!

I have a Babyjogger City Tour 2 that has okay-ish suspension and we use for flying (we gate check). Its also on the cheaper end when we got it, so would have less heartbreak if it got damaged in transit. Our main at home is the Guava Roam which fits in our car (the Cruz does not when the seat is on) and has better suspension for cracks in the pavement and our LO has been in it since 4 months. Our friend tried to use a Minu V3 as a main, but ended up getting a second hand vista because the Minu was rickety in their neighborhood.
