Bugaboo Kangaroo is far superior to the Uppababy. We have a Silver Cross Wave but if I were to go back and do it all over again I’d get a Bugaboo all the way. We do have the Bugaboo Butterfly as our travel stroller and use that way more (fits in overhead bin on airplane!)
r/BabyBumps • Stroller recommendations ->Have you tried both of these strollers in person? Not sure where you are located but most Nordstroms typically carry both and their baby gear experts can walk you through the differences. The quality of the bugaboo fabric & build felt better as well as suspension. The uppababy strollers I tried felt cheap in comparison. Bugaboo Butterfly is worth getting for travel alone! We started using it when our son was maybe 5 months old and that’s all we use now. We’re at Disneyland this week and have a Thule jogging stroller and the Silver Cross Wave and Bugaboo Butterfly. Brought the Butterfly on this trip and are so glad we did!
r/BabyBumps • Stroller recommendations ->I did a side by side comparison at Nordstrom and the Bugaboo Butterfly won for several different reasons. *Straight pushbar instead of rounded *Larger bottom basket *Smoother push *Included footbar
r/Buyingforbaby • Joolz aer+ vs bugaboo butterfly ->Doona for travel/errands until they size out, then bugaboo butterfly for travel. Uppababy vista for every day.
r/NewParents • What's the best stroller you've used? ->We have an uppa baby vista and a Doona. We LOVED our Doona and used it until 11/12 months (have a 99th percentile baby). we got a bugaboo butterfly for travel/quick trips.
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->We use a travel stroller-bugaboo butterfly. It fits in the overhead. If we’re going on a longer trip I might rent a vista on babyquip.
r/Parenting • Turns 3 in two months - do you air travel with a stroller? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

Doona then bugaboo here, found it easier to collapse one handed than the yoyo
r/AskSF • Parents Question --Which Stroller to buy for SF living? ->Butterfly! We’ve legit gone down aisle on an airplane with it. People always get amazed by it. It’s super light and folds like a dream.
r/nycparents • What collapsible travel stroller do you recommend? ->How big are the kids? We love our Bugaboo Butterfly for all travel. Its super lightweight, folds up tiny (fits under the cabin beds or in the closet) and I can maneuver it one handed pretty easily. It's good up to 50lbs
r/dcl • Which travel stroller do you swear by for a Disney cruise? ->I was about to say I love our butterfly but it def doesn’t lay flat! I wish it did!!
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Please pick one stroller?? ->I have the butterfly and want that Aer+ ??. True bigger basket and has sturdy feel but the Joolz is lighter by -3 or -4 lbs and I find once baby is older than 6months lighter stroller is most important
r/nycparents • Lightweight stroller options ->I sold my minu v3 and bought a butterfly! The minu was creaky and got stuck closed alllll the time!
r/Buyingforbaby • Bugaboo Butterfly or Minu? ->You made the right choice! I am extremely fortunate to have a vista, a cruz, and a butterfly. The butterfly is the one we use most often - it's unbeatable for running quick errands, getting into and out of the car or navigating small spaces, or for travel. The only time I don't use it is for longer outdoor walks when I have another option available, but it's usually the only stroller we take on vacations and it's totally fine.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →I’m a mom and can sympathize, but when the frame of my very expensive [stroller](https://www.bebeconfort.uk/pushchairs/brume-trio?color_swatch_id=5995) became bent beyond repair after only nine months of use, and there was no way to repair it, I had a re-think about the worth of buying a new and expensive “travel system”. My husband bought the next stroller from Mamas & Papas outlet at Dubai Outlet Mall, and that stroller was a nightmare: difficult steering, difficult to fold down into car boot and unfold, etc and no way to get exchange/ refund. Then I put the search terms “Maclaren” (folding stroller), “Romer” (fabulous car seat brand), “Britax” (great car seat brand) and “Phil & Ted” (stroller for 2 children) in Dubizzle and bought some amazing gear for good prices. With my last child, I received a family friend’s secondhand Bugaboo stroller, which was amazing. Once baby was a bit older, I bought a new Giggles folding airplane-approved stroller during a Baby Shop sale (a copycat babyzen Yoyo), which was very sturdy and lightweight, easy to steer, and very easy to fold down into car boot and unfold.
r/dubai • View on Reddit →Yes to the travel stroller because you’ll be moving around the country. We have the Bugaboo butterfly and it has served us well. One hand open and close, you can “wear” it as a purse, it’s so nicely made and perfect for travel. And it’s not flimsy like other umbrella strollers. In terms of tips, we did two long flights to Asia when our LO was 9 months old. Unfortunately be prepared for screen time…we say it doesn’t count when we are traveling. We bought all sorts of toys that are recommended online but they only kept him occupied for a short bit. For the rest of the time he played with us, slept or did screen time. Our LO loves books and loved them at that age too, so books kept him engaged longer than any toy. I know it’s a luxury but IF you can, get an upgrade to a business class seat. At that age my LO was crawling a lot so we made the seat flat and just let him expend some energy crawling there. Otherwise I hope you have a whole row to yourselves so you can pull up the armrests so your baby can crawl.
r/travel • View on Reddit →Doona for travel/errands until they size out, then bugaboo butterfly for travel. Uppababy vista for every day.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →It all depends on where you live and your uses. We have 3 different strollers for different needs. We have the uppababy Cruz that we used when going out for the first 11.5 months until she could walk. Once she could walk, she’s been less interested in the stroller so we got the bugaboo butterfly as a travel stroller that stays in our car. We also have a BOB jogging stroller for neighborhood walks since the roads in my neighborhood aren’t smooth and she was bouncing around a lot in the uppababy.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →The new Butterfly doesn't come with the rain cover anymore, in case anyone searching sees this. Learned this after bringing it home and opening the box! Stroller has been great though.
r/nycparents • View on Reddit →Depende sa gusto mo and yung gamit mo. I won a Graco Modes stroller when I was pregnant. Yon gamit namin since newborn yung anak namin until he was 1. We have the Graco infant basket na nilalagay pag new born pa. Perfect siya for normal lakad lakad and even for road trips. Negative side is bulky kung travel by plane so kelangan igate check. Then we got a Bob jogger stroller. Mas maganda siya for rugged terrains and if runner ka, maganda siya itulak while running or jogging. Then we purchased a travel stroller, Bugaboo Butterfly for ease of traveling. Compact and pwede mo ilagay sa overhead bin basta malaki yung plane. Holds well sa cobble stones of Europe. So far yung ginagamit namin mas madalas is yung travel stroller whenever we go out. 3 y/o na yung baby namin so hindi na talaga siya nagsstroller pag naglalakad lakad sa neighborhood. Mas gusto niya na maglakad.
r/nanayconfessions • View on Reddit →We started with the uppababy Cruz and clicked in the nuna pipa car seat with the adapter. It’s very smooth and just feels nice to push. As our baby got older, we added a bob jogging stroller because the roads in our neighborhood aren’t smooth. We added the bugaboo butterfly recently since she likes to run around now and doesn’t care much for the stroller anymore. The one handed fold and compactness is really nice. We also have a wonderfold wagon but only plan to use it for long outings to the zoo.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →Loved my bugaboo butterfly until the wheel fell off at the airport. I had to carry it on my shoulder all through, while running with a 3 year old to catch our flight. I’m about to return it to Nordstrom
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →Bugaboo and yoyo for travel for us. Friends didn’t get on with the silver cross, difficult to fold down without losing a finger!
r/HENRYUKLifestyle • View on Reddit →I went with bugaboo butterfly + turtle air shield. Selling points for me: Travel system, infant car seat clips in, stroller fits in plane overhead and is lightweight, good storage.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →I have the vista and I also a baby zen yoyo and a bugaboo butterfly. The last two are travel strollers. We also like to travel and we used to travel with my daughter when she was a newborn every 2 weeks for a medical condition that required going out of state. Hands down we used and still use the bugaboo butterfly. Infant car seat was a nuna pipa lite which you can attach using adapters. Don’t bother with the vista if you plan on taking it through an airport and you only have one child. Also fyi baby is now a 4 year toddler and bugaboo butterfly is still stroller of choice. You can buy a ride along attachment if you ever need it for a sibling. This travel stroller fits overhead in planes and is so easy to click and fold. Only downside is the handle is not telescopic or extendable. I’m your height and it works well for me but hubby is about 6 ft and he says it’s a bit short for him
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →Yes, I’ve tried to fold them both in store, and for uppababy I need two hands, and for bugaboo I can do it with one hand (fold it and unfold it). Tbh, the bugaboo is also heavy and bulky just as uppababy, there is no much difference. Bugaboo has better setup for two kids when the bassinet is up and the toddler seat is down, and uppababy it’s the opposite and people complain about that. I love Bugaboo Butterfly!!! I think it’s amazing and thinking about it as our second stroller later, and for traveling, of course!
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →I've been really happy with the Bugaboo Butterfly. It fits really easily in the car, too, so it's been nice as my son gets older and I don't want to haul around the UppaBaby Cruz filling half my truck.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →Butterfly is also on Goodbuygear. Well worth it, the other travel strollers I've seen has really tiny storage, I could see using the butterfly as a primary stroller.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →Obsessed with my Bugaboo Butterfly. Wish I had never bought our Uppababy Vista and started with it! We took both kids (8 month old sitting in stroller, 3.5 year old sitting on wheeled board) to the aquarium last Saturday in the snow and it was not perfect to push but still doable (10-15 minute walk outside to the subway from our house). Highly recommend.

r/NewParents • View on Reddit →We have the bugaboo butterfly in the car for errands as it’s so quick to use getting in and out of the car and around shops. We have a bugaboo fox 3 that sits in the garage that we use for walks (also will put in the car if going out for a walk) as it’s sturdier and nicer for her for our daily walks in my opinion. I got both for free though, so I’m ok having two
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →Fellow butterfly fan - when you fully extend the canopy part of it you can see through to check on them. I only really do this if they’re napping otherwise I leave them be lol
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →How big are the kids? We love our Bugaboo Butterfly for all travel. Its super lightweight, folds up tiny (fits under the cabin beds or in the closet) and I can maneuver it one handed pretty easily. It's good up to 50lbs
r/dcl • View on Reddit →I’ve noticed that it’s a superior brand to the UB, but why is that? Do you think it’s just the brand? Because I found them very similar. Except some things - a bassinet position is different when it’s used like a double, attachments are included with bugaboo, and I think the material is softer and more comfortable with bugaboo. Oh, I love Butterlfy!!! I would buy it right away haha the fold is amazing and it’s lightweight! But it can’t be used for infant and I guess it’s not recommended for all terrains, etc. but I guess it’s amazing for running errands and for traveling, of course!
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →We love our Bugaboo Butterfly for travel! Easy fold, comes with a rain cover, small enough to bring into the plane cabin with us. We haven't taken it to Disney World since we usually use a double stroller, but it did great at Tokyo Disney.
r/WaltDisneyWorld • View on Reddit →Seconding this. I have a Vista and the Butterfly and wish I only had bought the Butterfly!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →We use this as our main stroller in Toronto. It’s not great on really snowy days but truly it does the job the vast majority of the time.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →I would’ve bought Joolz for a newborn since it has a newborn bassinet attachment which the Butterfly lacks, but for a toddler - team Butterfly all the way!
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I have the butterfly and like it a lot. Have you looked at getting it second hand or renting it? We recently took it on a trip to Italy and it was great.
r/toddlers • View on Reddit →Having just purchased a travel stroller, we looked at the stokke yoyo, bugaboo butterfly, uppababy minu v3, silvercross jet 5, and joolz aer -- all comply with most overhead cabin sizing. I would recommend also purchasing the stroller case/carrier so it looks more like a standard carry-on. Some airline staff might make you gate-check regardless of size once they see that it is a stroller. Having the cover/case will reduce that issue.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →We have the butterfly and yes an investment but if you do travel a lot so so worth it. The fold is great, especially when traveling in your own with kiddo, wheels and suspension are fantastic as well. No issue on cobble stones, etc.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I love the bugaboo butterfly. It has the one second fold, made of great fabric, 5 point harness, *almost* a flat recline, and fits in the overhead compartment of both domestic and international flight aircrafts. I know you said you are ok checking it, but it can be really helpful to have it on hand and make sure it doesn’t get damaged during transport. It’s not going to be great in cobblestone streets, but with travel strollers you give up that comfort that heavier strollers provide for the convenience.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →I’ve sold mine on fb marketplace used after about 2.5 years for $200. It is a great stroller and I had no issues with it from Africa, Asia Middle East and US travels. Fit through some isles with child in it and to all overhead compartments I’ve tried.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I got the minu v3 and it seemed so flimsy for the price. Returned it and bought the bugaboo butterfly and I love it so much - one handed fold, super light weight. I’m 5’2 and husband is 6’2 and we both use it comfortably. I tested the AER plus and 2 and this seemed better.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →This is what we primarily used the first 1 1/2 year. Switched to a butterfly though since my wife travels with the kid on her own at least once a year, that thing is the best. We still have the donkey but exclusively use the butterfly for everything
r/daddit • View on Reddit →Absolutely obsessed with my butterfly. Highly recommend.
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →I don’t like my minu V2. I wish I had bought the bugaboo butterfly instead.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →I don’t see that vista looks cheaper than the bugaboo. But I did notice a significant difference in material. Bugaboo looks much more comfortable for a child, the material is more puffy and softer, in my opinion. What do you think about it for like everyday errands, like grocery shopping, etc? I love Butterfly and thinking about it as our second stroller.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →Hmm I was just testing driving the bugaboo butterfly & I didn’t think it handled the cobblestone patch at the store too well. Other than that I thought it was an A+ stroller
r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →I have a bugaboo butterfly and I saw at all the baby bunting I went to that the fabric liner balls and colour fades.. I was really hesitant in buying it. Can report I’ve used it for a year straight everyday no fading no fabric liner balls. I’ve washed it multiple times and even the whole thing in the washing machine ??. It’s great. I have a fox 5 and prefer the butterfly. I do keep it out of the sun eg.. in the garage or in the boot and I dry it in the house after I’ve washed it. Looks brand new still… I don’t get what’s happening to the prams at BB
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • View on Reddit →Once you get into the price range and brands you're looking at they're all very much the same. At that point it comes down to personal choice/fashion choice. I have the bugaboo :)
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →We replaced the minu which I hated with the bugaboo whatever small travel sized one is and love that. $140 for a playmat is wild. I think we had a $20 wal mart one. Agree with Chico car seat and now the cosco one. I forget the model but inexpensive
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →We use a travel stroller-bugaboo butterfly. It fits in the overhead. If we’re going on a longer trip I might rent a vista on babyquip.
