Nuna - REVV™ Rotating Convertible Car Seat

We live in NYC and have a nuna swiv with the urbn seat as well. It’s honestly a great combo for the times we need to take a cab, and the swiv is fantastic for maneuvering in tight spaces. Folds up easy enough to fit in any trunk

The Chicco ones have the crotch buckle that stays forward so you don’t have to dig it out from under their butt! It also has far superior cupholders. My 1 and 4 year old are both rear facing and super comfortable. I’ve had to clean vomit out of them and it wasn’t bad. The Chicco one separates from the base which makes cleaning a lot easier! The Evenflo straps get twisted like every time which is infuriating. It’s also not as cushioned. I like that the Nuna has an adjustable recline, but that’s not worth the price tag to me. Overall I clearly recommend the rotating seats 😂. I did a fair amount of research when we had our second and needed to get new car seats, and am really happy with my choice!

If you have a shorter kiddo, you’ll probably be happy with the Revv. I loved it, but my kid outgrew its height limits immediately. I miss that seat, but we switched to evenflo revolve with the green fabrics and it’s not as nice, but it’s still a good car seat. I also have the same model, but without the green fabrics, and there is a noticeable difference in the feel.

I’m surprised I had to scroll so far to see this. We got rid of our Evenflo 360 after the reports of it flying off its base started trickling out. We have the Nuna Revv and love it. We also had the Cybex Serona S back when it was the only rotating seat on the market in the US. We weren’t happy with the quality and the seat fell apart after about a year and a half. I’m short, so having the rotating feature is a game changer for me! Now that my oldest is bigger we have the Nuna LUMN, which I also love because it’s very easy to reach the buckles since the sides are low.

Love our Nuna revv - so easy to get in and out. No complaints!

Mine was 24 pounds at 1 year, 32 pounds at 2, and is currently 37 pounds at 34 months. He might have a growth spurt and hit 40 pounds at 3 years but probably not for a few months. We booted him out of the Revv a few months ago for his baby sibling, and bought the exec. Really miss that rotation! He also weighs more that our 5 year old neighbor. You could google the WHO growth chart and look at his percentile and try to extrapolate from there.

We have a Pipa, Revv, Rava and Exec and I loveeee them all. The Revv was amazing but he got too tall which was fine - we switched to the exec. He is So comfortable in it. we use the Rava in my husbands car and its okay, but liked the exec and revv much more. Nuna is definitly more lux than the the brands others are mentioning. My mom has an evenflo and my MIL has a graco and all our Nunas felt more plush. All carseats are safe, but if you have a few extra $ to spend I'd always choose Nuna or Cybex.

The first 6 months, I think it’s infinitely easier to have an infant car seat that attaches to a stroller. If they fall asleep in the car, you keep them asleep and just move the seat into the stroller. It allowed us to go out and about much easier (since they sleep a lot anyway).. but it sounds like you already have a stroller so this may not be practical for you. For our latest baby (1yo now), I kept the car street/stroller in my car and my husband had a infant toddler seat in his. He ended up switching to the infant car seat because it’s so much easier and she seemed to like the coziness of the seat better than the stroller alone. She just outgrew the infant car seat and so I’m eyeing the 360 ones. (I already have a Graco Extend2Fit from my first child. I’ve loved that one, but I can’t resist the convenience of the 360.) I was really interested in the Nuna Revv but the weight limits are absurdly low (30 lbs rear facing and 40 lbs forward facing), so it can only be used until around 2.5 years old. That’s just not worth the price tag to me. By comparison, most others are 40 lbs RF and 65 FF.. if they have the booster built in then it’s up to 120. My son stayed in his Graco Extend2Fit til age 5 and then switched to a cheap booster seat.

I would look at recalls and safety ratings for the rotating seats. When I was looking there were some open recalls on the top one for the lock wearing out/ folks forgetting to lock it back to the spot? Idk, I stopped right there. I don’t take risks. I’m already tired, I don’t want to add another step to making sure my son is 100% because I would never forgive myself. The top 2 safety rated that year were the ones I bought. The Graco dlx (?) and the Nuna ravv. My son doesn’t exactly love the graco (not as comfy I guess) and we keep that in the truck which he doesn’t ride in much. He loves the Nuna. Much more comfy it seems. Also Nuna is not a US brand. US brands sometimes only go for US testing standards. Nuna goes for the US and Euro ones which have always been higher in my experience. If you ask AI- they say Euro are more ‘comprehensive’ as US safety testing has historically focused on front impact and left out side impact. Also Euro regulations are more stringent on ease of ‘correct’ installation. I would say making sure the Graco was installed correct versus Nuna was a lot more time and effort and obviously top safety is a seat installed incorrectly is going to greatly increase injury potential. The Graco had some reviews that made me trust it- pictures of wrecked cars and moms stating babies were 100% ok/ some had even slept through crash. Good luck finding something you like! We are going to swap my oldest to the Nuna Lumn when the time comes and put the youngest in Ravv. We have a Nuna Pippa for the newborn/ infant stage.
