Our nuna car seats are hands down the best. We’ve bought cheap brands for travel + the maxi cosi’s for grandparents cars to compare. The nuna feels the sturdiest, highest end, and the thing doesn’t budge. It’s also incredibly comfortable and grows with your kids.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->I’m a CPST who has installed hundreds of car seats and dealt with every company’s customer service. Nuna is top tier.
r/Costco • how good is Graco 4Ever DLX Grad car seat? or would you recommend us something else? my baby is 6 months old almost 7 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

We have the Nuna pipa baseless with rigid latch and love it. We don’t take a lot of Ubers but didn’t want to buy multiple bases and I 100% recommend. It’s so easy to click in and out and is compatible with every single car.
r/beyondthebump • What kind of car seat comes with an Uber? ->The Noona is probably the best car seat that turns into a stroller - it’s an all-in-one. So you don’t have to worry about bringing along a separate stroller. It is great for the first year or so. And the Noona is stroller is small so you can easily bring it to wherever you’re going without it being a hassle. The ones like Uppababy Vista are good too, but it requires you to bring a separate stroller that you can click the car seat into. But once the kid outgrows the infant car seat, the stroller is just a large stroller and doesn’t really have any major benefits over any other stroller. I’ll say this - we used the Uppababy system for our first two kids then did the Noona for our third - and I really wish we had gone for the Noona in the first place.
r/Parenting • Infant Car seat and stroller combo ->For us, no. We have the Nuna. Babies just hate being confined. Mine screamed every time she was in her seat from 4 months to 9 months! We played around with the Chicco and Cosco seats too, to see if any would help (nope - they didn't!). We ended up switching to a Britax One4Life around the 4 month mark to give her more space and so she could sit up more and see the world, but still dealt with screaming. Same thing happened to my friend who used both the Chicco and Graco systems for their two cars. They will eventually grow out of the screaming - we tried to bring a lot of entertainment and snacks to distract her and it helped immensely. She's just over 2 years old now and chills in her carseat for trips so it will get better, I promise you!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Are Maxi Cosi and Nuna Car Seats Worth the Money? [MB] ->Joolz aer 2 and Nuna pipa URBN are what I’m doing for my nyc baby. This combo is most versatile for travel etc.
r/Buyingforbaby • Need recommendations for infant car seat and stroller combos! ->This is true. But Nuna just came out with Pipa Urbn flex set that attempts to solve this in the US. The stroller mom mentioned it in her stories today. I think it’s to force spending more on their travel systems. I got an unused URBN on the second hand market for $170.
r/Buyingforbaby • Need recommendations for infant car seat and stroller combos! ->We had the Pipa urbn and looooooved it. So easy and light. Twas a sad day when our daughter outgrew it.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->She outgrew it around 11 mos.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->Urbn, Graco GoMax, and Joie Mint latch are all baseless latch infant seats. All of the nuna seats can be installed baseless if you use a seatbelt btw. They’re all safe. People feel like they’re not safe because they’re new or because they don’t know how car seats work, but ask any CPST or look online for video demos - they can explain how it’s just as safe as other car seats on the market. People have this idea that the base that it clicks into, is safer, but when you have the baseless latch connection…it’s doing the same thing as the base is (connecting via latch lol) ?? Idk the weight limits for the the Graco and Joie car seats but the nuna urbn, nuna pipa RX, and Aire RX all have the same weight and height limits now. They’re 4-30lbs and 16-30 inches. The older models varied more, but now they’re the same across the 3.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->I have a Nuna Rava forward facing behind the driver seat, and a Nuna Pipa rear facing behind the passenger. Both front seats need to move forward from where we'd normally have them to accommodate the car seats behind. I'm 6'2" and when I drive, I do need to move the seat forward a good amount from my normally position because my 4 year old would other wise have only a couple inches for her feet. There is not room to comfortably fit a third person in the middle seat of the second row I'd say. And no easy way to get to the third row with two car seats installed.
r/VolvoXC90 • How is XC90 for 3 small kids? ->I have a Nuna car seat. The base stays in our family car. When I take Ubers with my baby, the car seat can easily and quickly be fastened with a seatbelt. There’s instructions on how to do it properly.
r/nycparents • View on Reddit →We brought our nuna car seat and used it in our rental car and in my MIL car, has attachments that clip in. Wasn't an issue anywhere (WA or VIC).
r/AustraliaTravel • View on Reddit →That makes sense. Yea I adjusted the back seat as much as I could. I’m officially annoyed. I got mine from pottery barn and no one mentioned that this was a possibility. I guess I should have looked for the vehicle compatibility manual that I just found online a few minutes ago…what a waste
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I think personal preference, personality, first time parents, and overconsumption is a huge part of this. As a FTM, husband and I wanted to splurge specifically on a nuna system (mainly because you didn’t need a base in every car to use and I see resale ones on FB marketplace), but were lucky as heck a grandparent wanted to gift us the funds for it… Aside from that initial planned investment, I asked for pre-loved clothes at my shower. Registered for a microwave sterilizer vs a machine. Couldn’t decide on a carrier bc they are overwhelming to pick and so expensive, so I settled for a boba wrap at least for the newborn phase. Even though they were gifts I wasn’t paying for, I didn’t want to contribute to overconsumption. Curious if there are specific items you are looking for? You got this!
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →Nuna is about the parent conveniences. I had a Nuna infant car seat and it was super simple to strip and wash, intuitive to use the buckles, had simple but critical things like a hook to place car seat belts, and was a breeze to adjust and tighten. I curse my current car seat every time I have to use it and miss the nuna luxuries lol. I would just compare for features. Of the joie has all the similar features just maybe less cushy fabrics. I’d say that’s a good bargain version.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →Which seat? The harness height on all of Nuna’s seats is SHORT. If you have a tall kid they will outgrow the seats earlier than expected. For us the infant seat was also short-lived because my kid started hating it by like 5 months and we switched to convertible , so that felt a waste to me. Also Nuna’s textiles stain, discolor and sun bleach super easily and look terrible. I am learning that it’s more common to have to replace a seat due to damage from something like frequent accidents or sickness /body fluids because there are so many dang rules about how to clean and you cant use basically anything, I would say Nuna is not worth the money.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →Nuna Pipa Urbn. Love it and don’t need a base. Easily clips into cars or can be seat belted in. TBH it’s worth the money. We have thrown that guy into so many cars and it’s extremely easy to use.
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →What year is your RAV4 I have a 2020 and my Urbn doesn’t seem to fit well. Way too much wiggle. We are waiting to hear back from Nuna about it. We don’t want to rely on the seatbelt if that’s the whole purpose of the latch ??
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I liked my nuna and found it very easy and lightweight (had a c section so that helped) I also had a nuna car seat but with us wanting a second kid I do regret getting the nuna!

r/HENRYfinance • View on Reddit →Love our nuna and very committed to sticking with the brand when we size up
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →We had a Nuna Pipa Urbn which was great at first as its easy to use and clip into vehicles BUT we ended up having to send it back as it put our LO in a really awkward position and would cause her into the chin to chest position which isn’t safe at all. We had numerous communications with Nuna to try different positions and they were great, but we couldn’t resolve it so they gave us a refund. We now have the Maxi-cosí pebble which has been great as it has 3 reclining positions and is easy to install into other cars with the seatbelt and it only takes a few minutes. Check the attachments as a lot of brands use the same attachments so even though we had the nuna pram the maxi-cosí car seat still attached using the nuna pipa urbn attachment. Good luck and congratulations for June
r/UKParenting • View on Reddit →We got nuna car seat and silver cross stroller from shop in Ottawa Mybabyshoppe.ca
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →I have a Nina pipa and a 360 seat in my husbands car and I Love the 360 so much more. The Nuna is technically “nicer” but it’s so much more work.
r/toddlers • View on Reddit →We have one but honestly the price tag just doesn’t make sense unless you’re really sold on it and it fits your stroller needs. We really liked the concept of being able to use it without a base, but the way it functions without the base is pretty annoying (strap across lap). It’s light, but they all get heavy fast, so that’s similarly not something that rises to the price tag, IMO.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I think you'll be happy with either stroller - but I would really recommend looking at Nuna car seats instead of UB. UB just doesn't design their seats as well and there are more issues with fit than Nuna ever has. Do you expect another kid in the near future? I prefer the fold of the Demi to the Vista. I get so annoyed with closing the Vista and opening it, but it is a dream to push! I also love that the Demi comes with a built in mosquito net, and the second kid seat is not reduced limits like on the Vista. I never even tried the Demi unfortunately and I regret it!!
r/BabyBumps • View on Reddit →That’s why I feel like Nuna is a waste lol. The evenflo are very very very easy to install, so it doesn’t make any sense to buy extra bases, and they don’t even make them actually
r/parentsofmultiples • View on Reddit →I’ve used it with both my babes and love it
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →If that’s the one you want and you know you don’t want a base, then no, it’s probably the best baseless one out there. The rigid latch thingies make it more secure and easier to use than routing the belt around. If you don’t think you’ll actually need the baseless feature then I’d get one with a base that can be used baseless if the need arises. We had the Uppababy Aria and the Nuna urban and strongly preferred the Aria. Well, strongly preferred having a base. Both seats are nice, but I do think the base is more secure and it’s so much faster.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →This is a new limit. Our Pipa urbn purchased just last fall goes up to 22 lbs. So if it currently says 30 lbs, that must be only for a model put out within the last year.

r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →We felt exactly the same. It’s so overwhelming. We ended up going for the Nuna Mixx Next and I’m quite happy with it. It folds easily and fits in the back of my VW Polo (I have to pop a wheel off but that’s super easy), not heavy (I had a c-section) and it’s not bulky like some others. I also really love the “dream shade”. We bought a bundle in the end with the Nuna Pipa Urban car seat and what I really like about that is it’s baseless, so we can easily swap it between cars and even a taxi if need be. Those are things I’d consider, as well as how big and accessible the basket is and whether you have to completely take it apart when you fold it.
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • View on Reddit →Nuna customer service is top notch and its rated one of the best seats out there.
r/Costco • View on Reddit →The fact that my Nuna weighs less than 9 lbs is why I own it, every person who’s ever grabbed the seat has complimented how lightweight and easy it is to maneuver. And I’d buy it over and over again!
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →I don’t have a full system but the nuna car seat and its adapters work well with our stroller (babyzen yoyo). We do find it’s easier to release one side at a time.
r/NewParents • View on Reddit →We have a new defender and used a Nuna infant car seat. Newer cars have latch bars that the car seats click into hut they also have ways to secure them using a seatbelt. So long as your seatbelts function properly you shouldn’t have an issue fitting most brands. Our kiddo outgrew the infant car seat so we just got Chicco brand convertible & reversible seat and base.
r/LandroverDefender • View on Reddit →i love my pipa urbn! it’s honestly so easy to place and remove and i love knowing i can just clip it in any vehicle
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →My son hates nuna - we switched to graco and he was so much happier. But there is a stage where they just hate the car seat in general though
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →Separate worked better for us! We bought the Nuna car seat first and paired it with the Mamazing Air Lux since it’s light and has a built in adapter. We did use the car seat on the stroller early on, but that phase didn’t last as long as we expected once baby got heavier. Now we mostly just use the stroller itself. It’s been easy to push and light enough that we’re comfortable using it for travel too, so going separate has ended up working for us longer.
r/daddit • View on Reddit →Not sure how old your little ones are but my 3 month old just took his 3rd flight today. The first two we had him as a lap infant because we had a car seat at the destination. It wasn’t too hard but definitely much easier with him in the car seat. He has a nuna pipa urbn (so you can compare size) & it fit perfectly in between the arms rests. The arm rests do raise as well, but we didn’t need to. The car seat also fit well down the aisle. Southwest allows 2 car seats in a row, but they have to be window & middle seat. Depending how old & if you breastfeed or not but we waited to feed him his bottle until we were taking off so that his first burping we could take him out of the car seat. If you have a seat for the child they have to be in the car seat during takeoff & landing which is somewhat difficult when they are so little especially if you breastfeed. If you aren’t going to offer a bottle a pacifier works too because they need to pop their ears manually on the way up & down. Depending on age as well being new toys that they have never seen before as it will occupy them longer. If they are still little they will most likely just sleep the whole time. Lastly, remember this is a form a public transportation. Children & babies are allowed to act like children & babies. Don’t be embarrassed or get overwhelmed by other people (easier said than done I know). You got this!!
r/SouthwestAirlines • View on Reddit →NICU based car seat tech here- - Evenflo Litemax, especially the models with the one piece body insert like [this one](https://www.evenflo.com/products/pivot-modular-car-seats-and-stroller-travel-systems) (not sure they sell this specific car seat on its own anymore, I can only find the exact one I prefer in travel system form). The insert design promotes excellent positioning without pushing babies’ heads forward. The hip harness and crotch buckle adjust to be absolutely tiny (this seat starts at 3lbs). Between the harness adjustments and the insert, the positioning for small babies is truly excellent. - Joie Mint Latch- this baseless car seat has rigid latch anchors that pop right out on the seat itself, which 1. Is a huge safety feature and 2. Makes this seat just as convenient as seats with bases - it’s just as fast to get in and out of the car as it is to pop my other car seat in and out of the base. The harness doesn’t adjust as small as the Litemax (almost nothing does) but the body insert is supportive and the harness fit for 5lbs is good. I see this seat often and sometimes I do have to remove the head insert because it can push some babies’ heads forward but overall quite pleased with it (I’ve been using it for my youngest for about a year now!) - Chicco Keyfit35/Keyfit Max (same product with updated limits and names to comply with new federal regulations about infant car seat weight limits). Fits small babies wonderfully, is very user friendly, minimal adjustments needed over the life of the seat (remove the body insert at 11lbs and click the headrest higher as baby grows but that’s it). There is a built in headrest and a removable cushioned head insert that sits on top of that- I usually remove the extra insert to avoid heads being pushed forward in a chin to chest position. - Graco- avoid the Snugride Lite models, they don’t fit *well* until 7-9lbs depending on baby’s build. This can be worked around by using a crotch roll but that’s a hassle, just avoid it. If you want a Graco seat, opt for one with a large headrest like [this one](https://www.gracobaby.com/shop/car-seats/infant-car-seats/snugride-snugfit-dlx-infant-car-seat/SAP_2156211.html). These models have an infant body insert that is actually supportive and useful (avoiding the issues with the Lite models) and they allow you to shorten the crotch buckle for an improved fit if needed. There are several “trim levels” with different names - the extra stuff like winter covers and one hand adjust handles and whatnot are irrelevant, you can pick a model with the right type of headrest that meets your price preferences and has whatever bonus accessories you like. - Clek Liing - pricy but *amazing* for preemies. If you want a bougie car seat then this is the one to get for a preemie (skip everything Uppababy, and most Nunas). The infant insert is unique in the US but a common style in Europe- the baby’s butt sits on a block shaped “shelf” to promote good body position and prevent slouching. I’ve known people to balk at this design because it looks odd for US consumers but MAN it’s effective! The base is also lots of fun - rigid latch and load leg are great every management features. One of my own 27 week twins came home from the NICU in a Liing on his due date. - Nuna Pipa Urbn: same category as the Joie Mint Latch, it’s a baseless seat that clicks directly into the vehicle latch anchors. The other Pipa models (the ones with bases) aren’t my favorite for tiny preemies but the Urbn is lovely because it has smaller harness adjustments and a more supportive insert setup than the other Pipa models. The head insert has two layers and I usually remove the top layer to prevent it from pushing little heads forward. My youngest used this one for a while too! Two major drawbacks: it’s only available as a travel system with a stroller so it’s expensive and you don’t have the full market of stroller options to choose from unless you want to spend *more* money. (I have the Triv model stroller with mine and it’s solid but I’m not a Nuna stroller fangirl in general. More often I used the Urbn with my Bugaboo Butterfly stroller with adaptors). Aaand it has a maximum weight limit of 22lbs (compared to 30-35lbs for the others on this list). Most babies outgrow a 30-35lb car seat by height way before they reach the weight limit, but 22lbs comes quickly especially for higher percentile babies. My 80th percentile youngest was too heavy for this seat by like 8 months old. - skip baby trend. For the love of NICU CPSTs everywhere, please don’t get a BabyTrend seat. ??
r/NICUParents • View on Reddit →Yes! We came home with our newborn in uber. We had nuna pipa which clips into uber / Lyft and rental cars. Like others said you can order a car with child seat but those are hard to find. We have used once for airport travel and reserved in advance and it is nuna car seat. I believe they have a partnership.
r/nycparents • View on Reddit →We have the Nuna Pipa URBN and LOVE it!! This is our first baby though so we don’t have much experience with any other car seat. We initially bought the regular Pipa that uses a base and it made our passenger seats virtually unusable (2016 BMW X5 and 2019 Volvo XC-90). The URBN sits lower on the seat due to not using a base and fits much better. It is a breeze to get in and out of our cars, easy and stress free to use in others’ cars, and I love that when I don’t have his car seat in my car all the seats are usable (none taken up by a base). I will say we’ve put it in a couple cars where the seat latches are covered with fabric held in place by Velcro and it has to be undone to install, which is less convenient, but hasn’t been a huge deal for us and in those cases we just use the included latch guides. We also heard people say the base is easier to get in and out every day but for us it’s been super easy, but again we only have experience with the baseless! I’ve also heard critiques about the size/weight limit, but my son was 16 lbs (25th percentile) at 6 months and it’s already pretty heavy. I can’t imagine wanting to carry a baby in a bucket seat around past the 22lb URBN limit personally.

r/moderatelygranolamoms • View on Reddit →Depending on where you are and when you’re giving birth your baby bucket could be essential. I gave birth in Quebec in December so the idea of just having a convertible car seat and a stroller with a bassinet was not a good option. We ended up with a Nuna pipa urbn car seat, it’s super light and can click into any car without a base, which is epic for travel. Then we have a bugaboo fox and a bugaboo butterfly both with adapters for the car seat. I honestly love my strollers and my car seat; they’re very practical and very nice looking. The fox is quite bulky but it was amazing in winter, we call it the beast. The butterfly lives in the trunk of my car and is used for all indoor activities and travel. We’ve gotten a shitload of mileage out of it honestly. Our baby is almost 1 and she is still in the infant seat (she’s mini to be fair). We have a convertible seat on deck (a Nuna Rava recommended by a friend) but we haven’t even unboxed it because the car seat is so convenient. Last thing I’ll add - bugaboo has incredible customer service and went above and beyond with a warranty claim I had (it was actually my fault I stepped on the bassinet and cracked a piece). It’s helpful to know that when you’re dropping a bunch of money on these items they are built to last and the manufacturers stand behind them and aren’t a nightmare to deal with. Thanks for coming to my ted talk!!!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →We personally got a car seat that would be compatible with both the full sized and travel stroller. We did a Nuna seat and Bugaboo strollers, and I think a lot of seats work with those Maxi-Cosi type adapters. I’ve heard fantastic things about the Clek. Do we use the seat with the travel stroller often? Not at all. Is it even necessary? Probably not. Is it nice to have? Yes. Would I be mad at myself in a situation where it would be handy if I *hadn’t* gotten a compatible car seat/travel stroller combo? Absolutely. So, completely necessary? Nah. But if you’re even questioning it, that means you’ll probably find yourself in a situation later on where you will appreciate just going ahead with it.

r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →CPST- feel free to PM me for more details or suggestions. Basically some of the more expensive brands are more complicated to install or are outgrown more quickly. For instance the nuna infant seat needs a rolled towel to get it level in most vehicles. Uppababy infant seats are outgrown very quickly. You mentioned Clek but Clek is one brand that is very recommended by techs. I own 3 of them myself. The Clek liing is one of the most highly recommended infant seats on the market. We couldn't use it in our vehicles because we have Ev's but that would have been my top pick otherwise. We own 3 Clek foonfs. The Clek also has adaptors for uppababy strollers if you go that route.

r/NewParents • View on Reddit →Hi! Our LO was born in January. We did short walks until March / April at which point we did more carrier walks. We had nuna triv next plus pipa urbn travel system. We loved the car seat for uber and rental cars since it just clipped in. We would litwrally unclip with baby from the stroller frame and clip into it he car and the frame folded easily. We fee out of it around 7 months and graduated to the toddler seat. If you are considering buying that and would like to buy a gently used, let me know.
