Yes this was why we chose the infant bucket seat. We got one that clicked into the base in the car and stroller (evenflo gold shyft) plus came with the bassinet attachment that also turns into a toddler seat. We now have an almost 1 year old and we've gotten a lot of use out of it and were glad we got that model. She's still in the bucket seat and will be for a while (20% small gal). We currently leave it in the car now as it is easy to just get her in and out plus its summer!

I walk my baby in the evenflo car seat stroller and can get it on grass. I dont see why it couldn’t go through snow on pavement or sidewalks

Honestly an infant car seat is best. When they are super young leaving them in the seat while running inside stores etc is easiest. Some do just get a 3 in 1 but after 6 kids, I would still go for an infant seat first. The even flo one that has wheels that pops out is my favorite. Worth it 100%. You want baby rear facing for long as possible. 2years is the very minimum but most are doing until 5. Its Honestly the safest.

We bought the Evenflo Shyft Dual Ride which, I believe, is Donna’s sole competitor on the market and we love it. It also has the ability to detach the wheels from the car seat which is helpful for carrying the baby to and from the car. It’s also cheaper than the Doona and you can regularly find it on sale. Have been using for 5 weeks now and have no regrets.

We have the evenflow dualryde shift that’s like the doona. Target has it on sale occasionally and it’s very useful to go from car to walking.

We have the dualryde shift by Evenflo, a stroller and car seat in one and it’s been amazing for car to out and back. It’s like the doona.

if i were you, i would buy a stroller/carseat all-in-one. i know it's more expensive, but carrying a baby for 30 days sight seeing is kind of a lot. i know japan isn't the most stroller-friendly location, but it's nice to have when you want to take a stroll in the park, or let them sleep while you explore a museum or something. and then you don't have to carry the kid while you're schlepping a backpack too. idk. i saw an evenflo one on walmart for $350.

the one i mentioned above (it's the evenflo shyft dualride) is FAA approved, according to the evenflo website. i just checked the doona, and it is, as well. It makes sense, since they are designed for ease of travel.

I'm using an Evenflo Dual Ride Shyft for carseat/stroller. The convenience is amazing! It's so nice not having to lug around a separate stroller. When people see me convert it from a carseat to stroller with the push of a button they think it's the coolest thing. My baby is 5.5 months and we're still using it. The only big con is it's heavy if you're using it in carrier mode with the wheels on. I have an Evenflo Revolve 360 on stand by when he outgrows the Dualride.

I went to target to check the seat out in person and I can confirm there’s not a big size difference and I have the Shyft on my registry because it’s so much nicer

We went with Evenflo Shyft (their Doona knockoff) as our car seat and bought a Joolz Hub 2.0 stroller with bassinet attachment. I love the convenience of keeping the baby in the car seat when making quick trips, and we use our bassinet every day to take the baby on walks. YMMV! Nuna was just too expensive for me to pull the trigger.

We bought the stroller and car seat combo from maxi cosi. No complaints! We also got the Evenflo dual ride due to some travel, and I would have just bought that if you don’t need a stroller without a bassinet. Carrying around a car seat can be taxing, and the dual ride has base that converts in to a stroller, which is pretty handy!

I have a rotating one in my girl and a regular one in my husbands. We both prefer the rotating one!

5 months postpartum here. If I had to do it again, I’d 100% buy the evenflow dualride shyft again in a heartbeat. If I couldn’t do that, then I wouldn’t have a bucket seat, we’d just be in a convertible from birth and I’d buy an uppababy vista with the bassinet, because our baby actually really liked the bassinet for sleep at night. I didn’t buy the vista, but we used it at a mom postpartum center in Ferndale MI called Fourth Tri Sanctuary, and she actually slept in the bassinet there, so we got one secondhand and it saved us. She hated the Halo bassinet.

I think it is worth it 100% but we travel a lot. It is perfect to gate check because you can use it with out the base and you can use it in a taxi/uber then turn it into a stroller. The main difference between this and Doona is the wheels can disconnect which is nice when you just want to bring them in and out of the house (the wheels make is pretty heavy) also the handle bar is higher than the doona which would be better if you are taller.

Check out the Evenflo dual ride. The handle goes taller and the wheels come off which makes it way lighter than the Doona when you need it to be. We absolutely love it.

The shift is at target if you wanna see it in person. We snagged that one on a huge sale they had a month ago. I had also read some bad reviews on the pivot so we tried a bunch and settled on the shift .

For a car seat one that we bought Is the evenflow dual shyft ride. It’s a stroller and a car seat in one and it makes it easier when going places because I don’t have to waist space in my car with a stroller during their first year of life. I drive a Subaru crosstreck so there is space but strollers take up a lot of space. But I personally like to just put my baby in a wrap carrier so she’s close to me and people are way less likely to touch her.

We loved the Evenflo dual ride shyft. It is so convenient. We almost had a funeral for it when my son grew out of it.
