Three years with an Uplift V2 and here's the truth: it's overpriced but I'd buy it again. The accessories ecosystem is unmatched. The warranty is real (they replaced a faulty keypad immediately). The wobble is minimal even with my ham fisted typing. It just works every single day without thinking about it.

Here's my review, from years ago, of the UPLIFT desk I got. [https://www.reddit.com/r/StandingDesk/comments/gqpdsb/a\_few\_months\_in\_update\_on\_the\_80x30\_uplift\_i/](https://www.reddit.com/r/StandingDesk/comments/gqpdsb/a_few_months_in_update_on_the_80x30_uplift_i/) I still have it. It's still rock solid.

I have two of the Uplift V2 desks, both with 1.5 inch Acacia butcher block tops. Everything is super sturdy and well made, and the solid wood is beautiful. Have been using these daily for about 5 years without any issues. Would recommend.

Had my Uplift for 2 years with my kids (8 and 10). Cable setup is ok but not perfect. Added some extra clips myself. Seen that LumiDesk on Kickstarter? Their cable management looks pretty sweet.

I have an Uplift desk I've used for nearly a decade now and I've been happy with it. They have some addon options for cable management and I got a little drawer attachment for my accessories.

Another vote for Uplift and their customer service, I had an issue 4 years into owning my desk, there's a 10 year warranty and they were fantastic at resolving the issue.

I have 3 desk from Uplift and have been happy with them. They are very sturdy, have held up well to abuse from children, and I think they look nice. My kids all use them every day and they have just held up. I’ve some cheaper $100 “from Facebook marketplace” desks I use for random projects and the are uniformly shitty.

I've had an Uplift V2 since 2021, and then a Flexispot since 2023 when my wife took over the Uplift. Both are sturdy and I've had zero issues with the motors. The Uplift is definitely quieter on the climb. It has two motors and the lifting mechanics are encased in the legs, so there is less strain and a tiny bit more sound dampening. The Uplift has nicer materials and components for sure. There is a little wobble if you lean on the Uplift aggressively when it's in the standing position (I'm fairly tall so I send it up to its max), so if I bought it again I'd get the T frame instead of the C frame. If you want absolutely no wiggle, then Uplift's four-legged models would be the way to go.

Im about to get an uplift v2, they're supposed to be incredible. Study, highly customizable: Size Shape Material & color of: -the top -the frame -the keypad to control the height adjustments -the casters No I don't work for them/ am not being paid to say this, lol. Im just super pumped about my new desk. (That I'm deciding on customization for now, but in my brain Its already mine) :)

I cannot say this enough, but if you haven't done so already, check your local online marketplace. You would be amazed at what you can find sometimes. I found a V2 for less than $50!

Thanks, I'd looked but didn't find many EC1 listing on Amazon and definitely didn't find that one. My Flexispot E8 has the 55x28 bamboo top and it's definitely a good size. Works well for two monitors plus a 2nd laptop to the side. When buying the second desk\*, I ended up choosing the Uplift V2 with 72x30 dark bamboo top over a Flexispot E7Pro - similarly configured they were similarly priced, Uplift's dark bamboo is solid core vs Flexispot's hollow core dark bamboo, and Uplift has grommet holes (I like the power grommet). Interesting about the keyboard tray - I've disliked every one of those I've encountered. Rather have a low profile keyboard on the desktop. Different strokes I guess. :) Couple additional notes for u/Jolly_Draft_5156 : [Flexispot's cable management tray](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D63TFH6/) is nice. Helps make a very clean underdesk look. It will work with any desk you can drill a couple screw holes into. I considered buying one for my Uplift but the included one is serviceable though not as nice. I also recommend casters. Makes it super easy to pull the desk out from the wall when you want to adjust / change cabling in the tray, then roll it back and lock the casters when you're done. Lastly, I've been happy with [this cheap monitor stand](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VNKTCDG) to stash my clamshell laptop under. One of the pair of monitors sits on it, the other doesn't and both line up. (one monitor has a USBC hub, allowing for single cable docking) (\*) two desks 'cuz we split time between two locations

I tried three different desks before landing on the Uplift V2. The wobble on cheaper desks made me seasick while standing and typing. Uplift is expensive but the stability is worth every penny. Get the curved desktop for better ergonomics and spring for the advanced memory controller. Also their bamboo is actually real bamboo not that compressed stuff.

I just went with an Uplift and I absolutely love it. Ran me about 1700 delivered to my door and it's rock solid. Don't let the 12 hours I mentioned in the tweet concern ya, my desk faces the middle of the room so I have to do insane cable management for the 2 PC setup. Without a doubt in my experience the best brand is by Uplift Desk. I’ve used one for many years. Very sturdy, lots of customization options, memory buttons for different heights and very precise height adjustments. I’ve been using one for five years daily.

I'd probably avoid many of the suggestions here, as you're likely to get lower quality options. Ikea is great in many ways and fantastic for value, but for a thing that is going to be going up and down on the regular it might not be the right choice. In terms of \*actual\* stores, off the top of my head the Herman Miller store will let you look at their Jarvis line. I've had an Uplift desk for two years and it's been great, but I am not aware of them having any kind of local showroom.

Uplift Desk. I got one early on in the Pandemic and it's been rock solid ever since. Dual monitors, multiple computers, electronics projects, and more without an issue. The mechanism is smooth and quiet. Tons of cable management options. Standing mats are a nice addition, I went for the Ergodriven Topo Mat and really enjoy it.

I bought an Uplift desk in 2019. it's served me well so far. Stable and does the up-down thing well. If you're having back pain, I highly recommend a Safco Zenergy Ball Chair. It takes a little getting used to, but once you do, no more back pain. I had to work up to being able to use it all day.

I bought an Uplift (fairly expensive) and really like it. I wanted something large so that was a limiting factor. I alternate between sitting and standing as my body feels the need. I imagine there are good, lower cost options. Worth it imo.

I can't speak to these two choices specifically. I have an uplift which has been extremely reliable but I really don't think they offer anything in your budget range unless you maybe DIY the top. Which actually isn't a terrible idea if you have an old door or something lying around that you can use. The legs are really the most important part, you can definitely get "creative" with the desktop.

Count me as another happy Uplift desk owner. Extremely high quality. Worth the money. Had mine for 5+ years and it’s still like new. I basically keep it at stand height all the time so the motor doesn’t get a ton of use.

Id definitely recommend the Uplift v2. It has a wide range of heights, and its stable even at the tallest setting. You can find a helpful breakdown of the [best standing desks in this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/productbible/comments/1lm04e1/the_best_standing_desks/)

I paid nearly $900 for my my UPLIFT desk. Granted, it is fantastic quality, USA vendor, and comes with a 10 year warranty. With that said, I don't use the standing option enough to justify the extra cost over a regular desk and mine wobbles too. So, don't feel too bad!

Honestly, Wirecutter’s picks are solid and the Uplift V2 is super sturdy and customizable, and the Branch Duo looks great for the price. But if you want something quieter and smoother, I’d check out the Fully Jarvis or the FlexiSpot E7 Pro. Depends on your budget and how much you care about cable management tbh.

Costco has one by Tresanti that I've had for three years at this point. It's 47", so sliiiightly smaller than your requirements but otherwise it's been a perfectly reasonable desk. ...I previously had a more expensive Uplift desk that was just too dang big (not their fault; mine). Despite being sub-$300, the Tresanti has been just fine. It's fine. It's not amazing, but it is perfectly reasonable and very affordable. In fairness, I probably adjust the height only twice a week or so, YMMV.

The Ikea Bekant is garbage don't do it. Motor failed after 13 months and it wobbled like crazy even when new. Switched to a FlexiSpot E5 and the difference is night and day. Sometimes saving money costs you more in the long run. Stick with FlexiSpot E7 or Uplift if you want something reliable.

a standing desk can make a big difference if you work long hours. alternating between sitting and standing helps with posture and fatigue. flexispot and uplift are common choices, just make sure to check the frame stability and motor noise. tools like dezctop focus on stability and workspace design with thoughtful cable routing and modular organization so your setup looks clean and feels balanced while working.

I love my uplift standard shaped desk, but they can get very pricey for the L shaped. I'd take a look at Desky as well as the others. Helped a friend get an L shaped from them and only have positive things to say about the experience.

Secretlab Magnus Pro is hands-down the best if you want real cable management.. built-in routing, hidden power bay, super clean look. Uplift V2 with the full wire kit is a solid modular alternative. Both keep things tidy without endless zip ties.

I DOOO love my desk, its amazing... but no, it certainly doesn't have this feature. I've made great use of the two 15" shelves that clip oh the back of mine for music production gear, as well as two clamp on studio monitor stands - with the hydraulic monitor arm i have a TON of space on my desk even though I have all my gear right here in front of me! :) I know this irrelevant to what this post is currently looking for but I just wanted to talk about how cool it is!
