Uplift Desk - L-Shaped Standing Desk, 3-Leg (V2)

I have had an uplift since the pandemic days. Couldn't be happier. I have their commercial L shaped.

Some of the L-shape desks like Vari and Uplift have drawers and other storage accessories that mount to the underside. You can also get some file cabinets that match the desk frame color from these same manufacturers and place them under the desk so they work as desk storage. Nothing says a file cabinet has to have files in it, they can be just used as more drawers. I have a desk and a file cabinet from the same company so they match nicely.

Uplift Desk. I got one early on in the Pandemic and it's been rock solid ever since. Dual monitors, multiple computers, electronics projects, and more without an issue. The mechanism is smooth and quiet. Tons of cable management options. Standing mats are a nice addition, I went for the Ergodriven Topo Mat and really enjoy it.

I've been using an Uplift V2 commercial C-frame L shaped desk base for 3 years and love it. I custom made my own topper with some elbow grease and scrap I had laying around to lower the overall cost, but it holds up well. I can only speak to what I have, but their other frames came highly recommended at the time.

I think Uplift would fit with almost all your criteria if you wanted to do minimal DIY stuff. Motorized with programmable presets 48" width Considered to have good stability for a 2 legged desk. Available in C frame with or without a crossbar. The crossbar is for side to side stability, something not really needed for most desk use cases. Uplift states that the standard V2 with wedges has equivalent side to side stability as their desk with the crossbar. The crossbar version is mainly to maintain side to side stability with a lower minimum height. Standard desk shape with a good height range. Large amount of desktop options that are predrilled. It comes with a cable management tray that has an adhesive and two screws. Drilling/screwing accessories is really not as difficult as it may seem but with the amount of stuff you have, you probably don't even need a cable management tray. Using the supplied sticky back cable tie mounts and some zip ties, you can easily use the frame of the desk itself to manage your cables. If you don't like that, there are some lighter/smaller cable management raceways that can be attached using adhesive like this https://www.amazon.com/6X15-7in-Management-Install-Self-Adhesive-Organizer/dp/B07Q8QN5CB?th=1. They have tons of accessories which makes it a one stop shop, but you can find better deals for most of them from other places like Amazon. Grommet holes are more of a personal preference but remember that grommet holes can be added but cannot be removed or moved. Just one power strip is all that you need but if you wanted to mount it to the desk without drilling, they do have power strips that mount to the frame. Most available monitor arms clamp onto the back or have the option to switch for grommet mount, so there is no issue with adding those later.

I tried three different desks before landing on the Uplift V2. The wobble on cheaper desks made me seasick while standing and typing. Uplift is expensive but the stability is worth every penny. Get the curved desktop for better ergonomics and spring for the advanced memory controller. Also their bamboo is actually real bamboo not that compressed stuff.

FWIW, I just purchased the V2 L shaped, 60 x 60 and when raised to my height (keypad says 47), it's perfectly stable. Have one laptop + two externals and bookshelf speakers. Highly recommend, though it was pricey even with the discounts.

I went with the ash. Have had it for about 2 years. It has held up great. I WFH so I am a heavy user. Also, I love the foot hammock!

Second this! I got an Uplift V2 for $650 last year, work very well now even sometimes the top is unstable

The Uplift V2 and V2 Commercial have additional features to increase the side to side stability (wedges on the column for the V2 and a crossbar for the V2 Commercial). The V3 supposedly has similar/better stability to the v2 without the wedges. The Uplift also has accessories that will bolt directly to the frame, which may interest those who don't want to or can't mount things to the desktop.

Im about to get an uplift v2, they're supposed to be incredible. Study, highly customizable: Size Shape Material & color of: -the top -the frame -the keypad to control the height adjustments -the casters No I don't work for them/ am not being paid to say this, lol. Im just super pumped about my new desk. (That I'm deciding on customization for now, but in my brain Its already mine) :)

I have an autonomous desk at home, and just got an UPLIFT desk with a return at work. I do two hours up, two hours down. It helps my legs from getting stiff throughout the day. The free foot hammock is nice when I'm sitting. Both of them are holding a triple monitor mount without shaking.

One thing I want to point out is that stability is pretty subjective. Even our most basic E2 model gets great marks — about 70% of customers say it’s very stable. That’s because most people use it mostly sitting down and only stand occasionally. At sitting height, it’s rock solid. But once you get to E7, E7 Pro, or something like the Uplift V2 — which are two-leg desks — even if you drop a few hundred extra bucks, some people will still feel it’s not totally stable. Why? Because there are lots of customers who stand at standing height all the time, and sometimes lean on the desk edge. At that height, there’s no desk that won’t have *some* movement. Some people are fine with a little wobble — for example, if you have a heavy monitor arm, a tiny shake usually doesn’t matter. But others notice even the smallest movement and find it unacceptable. So whether a desk feels stable really depends on your usage style and how sensitive you are to wobble. Saying a desk is stable isn’t a lie, and saying it’s unstable isn’t necessarily wrong — it’s personal. If you want a desk with basically zero wobble, I’d suggest going for a good four-leg desk. You can check other brands — most offer free returns, so it’s worth trying a few to see what works best for you.

Been using the Uplift Desk V2 for 3 years now and it's rock solid. Zero wobble even at max height with my ultrawide monitor. The motor is still whisper quiet and I use the memory presets daily. Definitely get the bamboo top - looks amazing and has held up perfectly. Anti-fatigue mat is a must from day one, trust me your feet will thank you.

Thanks, I'd looked but didn't find many EC1 listing on Amazon and definitely didn't find that one. My Flexispot E8 has the 55x28 bamboo top and it's definitely a good size. Works well for two monitors plus a 2nd laptop to the side. When buying the second desk\*, I ended up choosing the Uplift V2 with 72x30 dark bamboo top over a Flexispot E7Pro - similarly configured they were similarly priced, Uplift's dark bamboo is solid core vs Flexispot's hollow core dark bamboo, and Uplift has grommet holes (I like the power grommet). Interesting about the keyboard tray - I've disliked every one of those I've encountered. Rather have a low profile keyboard on the desktop. Different strokes I guess. :) Couple additional notes for u/Jolly_Draft_5156 : [Flexispot's cable management tray](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D63TFH6/) is nice. Helps make a very clean underdesk look. It will work with any desk you can drill a couple screw holes into. I considered buying one for my Uplift but the included one is serviceable though not as nice. I also recommend casters. Makes it super easy to pull the desk out from the wall when you want to adjust / change cabling in the tray, then roll it back and lock the casters when you're done. Lastly, I've been happy with [this cheap monitor stand](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VNKTCDG) to stash my clamshell laptop under. One of the pair of monitors sits on it, the other doesn't and both line up. (one monitor has a USBC hub, allowing for single cable docking) (\*) two desks 'cuz we split time between two locations

Also have an Uplift desk (2 of them actually). Both the v2 model with walnut top. Have had them both since mid-2020 and both are fantastic

imo the uplift v2 is still the best all around. I like the stability, quick smooth height adjust, and customization options with the memory presets and different top finishes
