Samsung - Q930F

Q800d/f is your best option. Slightly over your budget but worth it. I have bought 800d and q930f and both were excellent for movies.

You mean QS750? The rears of the QS750 are not completely wireless as they are connected to a little radio station that's communicating with the soundbar. Q930F are completely wireless (aside from the power cable). The sub of the 930F is very likely better as it is much heavier. Try to listen to the QS750 (or QS710 as it's the same, only lacking the rears) and Q930F in a shop. I decided to go with the 930F.

go for jbl bar 800 or samsung q800/930, jbl have excellent bass while samsung have excellent clarity

Yeah Q930 owner here, volume goes to 100, we use it at like 8-12 for everyday tv.  14-16 if we're really into a show, and when the wife is gone 20-25. 

After seeing the rtings review saying they couldn't justify the extra $800 for the 990 over the 930, that helped me decide.  No regrets here.  Thing is a monster.  I can't imagine wanting more. 

I don't know why someone would upgrade a Q930 to a Q990 at all.. they are too similar to start to make that worth it imo

I trust the rtings reviews, where they test and compare based on data.   There's no way I'd ever get $600 additional value from a 990 over the 930 at the prices when I purchased.   I barely use the 930 capabilities as it is. 

Honestly just save up for a Q930, it's what that tv deserves.  It's worth the wait.  You can set the satellite speakers as front wides, you don't have to mount them behind you on a wall.

Save. Budget for it.  Dont buy a top tier TV and use a budget sound solution. 

The bar is bigger, not the drivers. The Q930 is already waaay overpowered for a space like that. I have a 15x20 room and with the Q930 we watch TV at 10-12, movies 14-16 and I love it loud and when I get the opportunity to watch without the wife it's 25 or so max... anything over 30 is uncomfortable to be in the room with. Even rtings said, paraphrasing here, that they couldn't recommend the premium for the Q990 series over the Q930 because they are so close in performance. Sure the Q990 has more power, but as described it wouldn't be used. Sure it's got a few more drivers in that bigger bar, but according to my research and personal experience you'd never be able to tell the difference.

It's not 500 bucks better, that's always been the issue with the 990, it's generally been waay overpriced for the relatively small features. The 930 is already going to blow the socks off most people. It's not like going to the 990 is going to be a significant upgrade and 500 bucks difference is a significant difference.

Q930 is the wise man's choice.  I've had ours several years and it still impresses me. 

If you're willing to go used or refurb you should be able to find a Samsung Q930 for that, it will absolutely blow away any new $500 MSRP soundbar.

The 930F and 990F have the same subwoofer housing but the 930F has one active and one passive Speaker where as the 990F has two larger Active units. I believe this is correct for UK market

Between those I would go with the q800f, even tho the rears are not available. Tho u can order than from amazon US, not sure how much import charges are in India but if its not bad u can buy it in the future. Atm they are 207 dollars(great deal rn.) They also dont sell it in my country so I had to get them from amazon us(waiting on them now).

Did you try placing rears at the front and adjusting sound levels for wider soundstage\\stereo separation? Still not a perfect solution but it di add quite an extre oomph in terms of music, compared to soundbar and sub only

This is a very effective soundbar. The spatialization of the sound is just magnificent The subwoofer, once correctly positioned, makes the whole house shake. Concerning the sync, everything works perfectly well! A good purchase that I recommend!

this is a full surround system with rears, the others are a couple speakers or a bar and sub. the 930 is a small step down from their flagship, it’s a great set. just make sure you have a plan and space for the rears and sub.

Man... listen!! I SURE did ?????? I played my fav tracks from Spotify and WOW my room LITERALLY felt like a studio. Bass was tight! Trebles are pronounced And the app has an equalizer to help further tweak the sound to your liking. #phenomenal_sound

Not Q990, but Q930; similar design but little bit less channels. 2.5 years and counting. Still going strong.

Everyone is recommending JBL however they aren't "budget" tbh. I'm planning on wall mounting them it serves my space better. I have the Q930F not the Q990F. Wish I had the budget for big fella ????

U can compare the q800d and f, as they have the same subs as the q930d and f. It's ideal to keep it just below the TV(ear level is actually the most correct), but make sure ur cabinet isn't deep as it could mess with the upfiring speakers.

Between the theatre 6 and q800f, it's a no-brainer to go with the q800f. Between the Q800f and juke bar, I wouldn't really know but considering the juke bar has no brand recognition worldwide. I would go with the q800f.

Seems like it outputs a mono signal in that particular mode(according to the samsung manual). Which still sounded very good(compared to other options), but I do understand now why I was not 100% confident about that sound profile. It did have a great impact but smth felt slightly off Will do some more testing and will create a separate post once the research for best settings is completed =) But yeah, a few extra modes in the app would've saved a lot of the headache P.S. rtings thinks that this particular mode provides stereo instead of mono. I’ve had the sennheiser ambeo, Bose smart ultra, and the Samsung q800, in that order. First two were returned for connectivity issues with my newish Samsung tv. The q800 has been great (the ambeo probably had the best surround but only if it connected). Q symphony is amazing. With the first two bars, you could clearly tell the sound was coming from below the TV… q symphony fixes that completely. And the subwoofer is amazing.

Of course. I have a decent sized room and the volume at 20 with the 930 is more than loud enough.

I have also purchased q930F for Rs. 51k with 3 months no cost emi from official web store on 26 th august. 63000 was the price + 10% coupon discount + card discount. Received this product within 4 days and same day installation done by samsung. Sound is mind blowing and bass is far better than the previous one. Sorround and atmos effect is superb. I am quite happy with my purchase. But it is unavailable in samsung web store now

930f is even more of a bargain if you’re lounge/sitting room/movie room isn’t huge. That’s what I went with after demoing both 990f and 930f. Picked up ex display for £400 few weeks ago!

No, it's the same bar as the q990c set. It's slightly better than the q930 bar.
