I think what it basically comes down to is automation software on cheaper cameras is better because the camera is cheap eufy has better hardware but needs better programmers unless they restricting their programmers abilities to push more hardware onto market so they invest more into sales and marketing and research than they do development. They do have good ideas. Basically the best camera I have gotten is the solar PZT camera with the fixed and move able camera I'm able to cover so much ground with that one camera that originally needed like 2-4 cameras for the same coverage. It's in a good place and has the important area under surveillance with the fixed and the none important or Simi important with the rotatable. Dual cam doorbell is amazing can't argue with results. Iv had the same detected movement or human when there was none with wyze and ring so it's not like eufy is better or worse in that department I think the sensitivity is just cranked up to high for some people depends on the location and activity it sees to see if you need to reduce motion detection sensitivity. I do recommend the PoE cameras if you want super fast app load times for cameras compared to wireless wireless just makes placement convient. For the people saying their camera is missing humans depends if it's a lighting issue or a detection sensitivity issue or a power issue or a networking issue most cameras don't have human detection built in or Ai built in to make that determination so it has to talk to the base to ask the base is this a human base says yes but too late for it to register cause it's not built into the camera and the event didn't get logged in time due to network connectivity issues.

r/EufyCam →For the actual dual-cam feature, the only ones I’ve seen are Eufy and a couple from Aqara. But Eufy can be a real pain to integrate without their homebase, like you said. I've heard mixed reports about getting RTSP out of them (or any usable stream for Frigate/NVR), so you might be stuck with their app/eco unless you’re okay with workarounds/hacks.

r/SecurityCamera →I have the Eufy T8213 integrated with Homebridge, which allows me to receive notifications on my Apple TVs and HomePods. I also get notifications on my Echo Shows, when the TV is off. The Google Home app integration works well on Android, but unfortunately, it does not work on iOS. I briefly had the Aqara doorbell, which worked great with HomeKit, but it performed poorly with Amazon and Google.

I've owned a Ring, and now a Eufy. The 'out of the house' experience is almost the same. I can retrieve footage from the videos stored on the microSD card in my house. I can respond directly to people who've pressed the doorbell. The doorbell communicates to a plugged in chime, and the chime to your router. The chime holds the footage on a memory card.
r/AskUK • Is a doorbell camera worth it? ->I have an Eufy doorbell camera, and 3 Reolink cameras, one showing my whole front porch, one at the back of my driveway looking out to the street, the last one on the opposite side of my house, about half way back, pointed towards the front yard. Each camera has its own micro SD card, all of them are wireless, hooked into my Wi-Fi. You have to scan each camera with your phone when setting up to be able to access the feeds, and then you instantly view, record and even set off an alarm remotely , as well as having any motion send you a notice. You can set the sensitivity levels to avoid false alarms, and on the Reolink cameras, you can set a mask to block any areas you either don’t want to record, or you don’t want the motion from that area setting off the motion sensors. And you simply rewrite over the old data when the cards get full. The two outer cameras also have their own solar panel, never need to charge those cameras.

They could go and make app features paid subscription but as of right now the app is free. It’s a touch clunky but it works decently enough.

They connect and the flood lights work very well. The software isnt great the masking and activation's took me months to get right and my cat is often described as a human when she sits on my car. Yes detection and activation setting just dont seem to be eufys strong point. But the same cant be said for the doorbell where I get no bad activations so they can actually get it to work. The homebase is ok a touch noisy at times, occasional wifi drop outs. Nothing major but all slightly disappointing. To much focus on AI crap.

Eufy was an up-front cost of the equipment, but no sustaining cost, and stores everything on a memory card that's accessible on the app. Both can be hard-wired using the ones you mentioned but I went with rechargeable batteries.

The ones with internal storage seems to work faster than ones which take SD cards, but the SD card options are a bit cheaper. You can also get one with dual camera (2nd one points down) if you want to keep a view of courier packages.

The two battery powered ( one with integrated solar panel) are monitoring the two hedgehog houses. Brilliant bits of kit for the job. A camera will have a wider and further view when you can get ya boi Pythagoras in on the game and angle that camera down. So it's hard to have a doorbell which must by it's very nature be lower down to see people and let them press the button.
