Can't, not available where I live yetbut very happy with my 10R that we had to wait months for the local release.
r/Roborock Is the Roborock Z70 worth it (or at least not not worth it) at all? ->For mopping, ideally you will want spinning mop pads and the largest water tanks available (unless you're able to run plumbing). You will likely need to refill the clean water and empty the dirty water tanks daily if the court is regularly used. The Saros 10R has a large clean water tank in the dock but a small on-board tank (65mL vs 80-100mL on other Roborocks) so even though it will do the job, it will also need to dock and refill more often, so probably the least efficient solution with a ton of features you won't care about. The QRevo series is probably ideal. You probably won't care about having the best obstacle avoidance, so even a slightly older one with spinning mop pads will probably be more than enough. I'd probably buy 2 of the QRevo Plus or something similar and have it clean the court from both ends. But really, a consumer robot isn't really the best solution. You will definitely be running these robots to their limit every single day, and you will have a ton of consumable costs.
r/Roborock Strange Request: Best Roborock to vacuum and mop an indoor basketball court ->It's definitely an upgrade to the standard dragging a wet cloth. Flagship Saros 10 is using vibrarise too but its a bit more updated and has more vibration and downward pressure. Not sure how big of a difference in terms of performance it is compared to the S8. If you can find S8 for a good price then I think you wont be disappointed I also think when choosing between rotating and Vibration mops its about preference and what type of floor you have. The rotating mops are using more water I believe and could have a tendency to leave wet streaks on floors
r/Roborock Is the VibraRise System of the S8 worth it? ->had to daily with my old shark. haven't and likely never will with my new roborock saros 10r. it has a divided brush and I haven't found tangles or buildup once
r/RobotVacuums How often do you all have to clean hair from the edges of the rubber brushes? ->Got the same deal on their website. 899 in german Roborock Store and then a 10% Discount Code via the "spinning wheel" in the landing page.
r/Roborock Roborock Black Friday : Which Robot Vacuum Should Buy? ->they make them with split tangle free rollers now I would go to the ROBOROCK site and look at the features before you decide Especially in regards to the hair getting tangled in the rollers... there is a difference between models Also, that particular feature you are asking for where the little sweeper jumps down into the corner and grabs the hair out and also the mop does the same thing. There are several models that have that feature and other models that are cheaper that do not. So definitely do your research before buying Another thing I'm not so sure about you getting it from Costco. I would go to Amazon and go to ROBOROCK online shop before you do anything from Costco but that's just me. Costco in those stores buy these things in bulk and they sit in a warehouse.... if you order something straight from ROBOROCK or online at Amazon and in ROBOROCK ships it... you know it's pretty factory fresh. But this is true of all the discount big box stores.... They cut deals with the manufacturers for large quantities of a particular model, even renaming the model.... be careful of dealing with those big box stores. I had the original Q Revo I ran it for a year and I did have to every weekend take the single roller out and get the hair off the ends no big deal just something you learned to do every Saturday I have since given it to my daughter because it works so good and bought myself a SOROS 10R ... partly because it has the same great mops as the QRevo and partly because it fits under my cabinets, nice and tight and has swing outs that go into the corners and gets all the junk out and partly because it has a split roller system that does not send the hair out to the ends, but groups it back toward the middle where it gets sucked into the dust bin My two dogs and my wife's hair are no longer a problem ;)
r/Roborock Which Roborock model to buy from Costco ? ->Bang for buck - mova p10 ultra Money is no object/I want the best - roborock Sara's 10r or dreame x50 ultra Budget/cheapest option changes alot based on sales. Just the other week I bought a refurbished L10s ultra for $240 Honorable mention - the new eufy e28 can be had for $800. I think its worth considering because the roller mop system they have going seems to do really good for mopping in general.
r/RobotVacuums Best All-Round Home Cleaning Robot Vacuum for 2025 ->Bought the Roborock Saros 10R, its awesome. If you live in a single story with disposable income Id get it.
r/homeassistant What is the best robot vacuum currently that's really worth buying? ->That all sounds very positive then! I just ordered the 10R since it looked like a considerable price reduction for the holidays, I'm looking forward to seeing it map my house (not sure why I find that so appealing).
r/HomeKit Matter/Apple HomeKit Vacuum Recommendations With Camera Two Way? ->That's great! I saw that having it be able to learn certain rooms so you can just say "go vacuum the kitchen" was pretty amazing! The 10R is what I just decided to order since the price looked reduced for the holidays, I'm looking forward to learning more about it!
r/HomeKit Matter/Apple HomeKit Vacuum Recommendations With Camera Two Way? ->u/JustinP_RTINGS I went down the rabbithole after you posted this incredibly helpful post. Pulled the trigger on the RoboRock Saros 10R. In your experience, what is the best option for detergent? On Amazon you can buy the stuff from other brands. Some users come up with their own concoctions. The thing is: I want the best result and if possible at the nicest possible prices. I also have a follow-up question regarding 3rd party spareparts from Amazon/AliExpress for the Saros 10R? Am I gonna damage stuff going for non-RoboRock parts and detergent?
r/RobotVacuums Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester ->There are two models that do this well. The Saros 10 and the X50. There are distinct differences between the two that will help you decide, since in terms of climbing, they're about the same. 1. The x50 has to return to base often to recharge/empty, more so than the Saros. It would take a whole day to get a 2000sqft home (these are champagne problems, but...) 2. You've got a real difference of cleaning techniques. The X50 has two spinning mop pads, the Saros has a vibrating mop pad. Now, I prefer a mop pad, gets more grime out. But... it can't extend beyond the robot, so the twin pads get close to walls, get under toe kicks, etc. 3. While they share the same features for the most part, the app experience on Roborock is preferable, IMO. Less adverts, etc. 4. Navigation wise, VERY comparable. In either case, wait for Prime Day.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Tough. I like the [Narwal Flow](https://amzn.to/3IxMoLX) for mopping, but 3 dogs... that's a lot of hair. Ugh. You can't go wrong here, but I'm leaning towards the [Saros 10r](https://amzn.to/46Y6lUd) which is a more balanced robot.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Vac/mop units are fantastic, especially the most modern new ones which fit under more furniture and are smarter at navigating obstacles and taller transitions, etc. My roborock s9 has done almost 300,000 square feet of cleaning across almost 800 hours of runtime over about 4 years. Would not want to do without mine. Cost so far, all-in with supplies and cleaner, averages out to about $300/year (unit was $950 + \~$250 for extra vac bags, floor cleaner, spare brushers/rollers kit, extra mop pads, extra bin filters, etc). Had a short-haired dog for 3 of those years. I expect this one to run for another couple years, so less than $175/year final cost isn't even a question. I want to upgrade to a Saros 10R, which is what I would buy today. Self-cleaning dock with hot water, etc. but it's not cheap at $1300 plus presumably some additional accessories, etc. Presumably there will be even better ones in 2 years when I need a replacement, but for sure the robot is a game changer if you have the patience to setup maps and zones for it, and also do a little prep cleanup immediately before it runs. Good luck!
r/IsItBullshit • View on Reddit →getting ONTO the rug is the problem, not the rug itself. Avoiding it isn't a big deal.... all robots will do that. No robot is going to accidentally mop your rug, those days are long past. but.. if that rug isn't well anchored? the edges will curl and the robot could even get caught on the threads of the rug if its long enough shag. So... option 1: avoid it entirely. That's... any decent robot. In which case, just choose from my recommendations based on price. option 2: get a robot with a lifting chassis. That's the X9, Saros 10 or Saros 10r. of them, Though not technically a "step", getting onto the rug will benefit from a chassis that can raise itself onto a higher platform. Here's all the models for sale starting Tuesday. [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every\_robovac\_on\_sale\_for\_amazon\_big\_deal\_days/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every_robovac_on_sale_for_amazon_big_deal_days/)
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I'm enjoying the one on the 3i, but that said, I think the adoration for the roller is overblown. It's probably cleaner than the mop pad or spinning pads due to the design, but that doesn't always translate to cleaner floors. I've had the best experience from the vibrating mop pads... but that Qrevo MaxV and Saros 10R both do a great job with spinning pads, too. It's less about the method and more about the model.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →So I have to explain my perspective on suction. Suction is good, more suction is certainly better, but people make suction the determining factor of whether they buy a vacuum when I have seen vacuums with 22, 000pa That don't do a great job. I'm more determining factor is how three parts of the robot interact. You have the sweeps which have to effectively get the debris towards the rollers. Then you have the rollers which have to sweep the debris that's in its path up but not allow the debris to get stuck, clogging the rollers. If they do their job right then the debris is perfectly positioned for the suction to pull it through into the debris canister inside. I could get really nerdy and talk about the size of the opening on the debris canister, And also how straight the tube is in the tower that evacuates the debris from the robot, but everyone would die of boredom. So, back to your question. Yes, the saros 10 has plenty of suction. But more importantly, those three parts play really well together. I love that split roller on the saros... It ensures that not a lot of debris gets clogged in the rollers. I think the new roborock sweep which just has those two arms is fine, I definitely preferred the 3i sweeps (there are two of them, they're so large that they are cartoonish looking, and they always have contact with the floor). But every single model of vacuum is different, because they're just too many factors at play. For instance, the eufy e25 and e28 should be fantastic. They've got the double sweeps that make contact with the floor. They have a split roller design. They have high suction. And yet the robot blows because the software sucks and it errors out all the time. It's why it's hard to judge a vacuum based on the stats alone.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →CONGRATULATIONS. your life will immediately get better. The X50 and the Saros 10 are the best choices of what you mentioned. For a list of every single prime day deal, [go here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1ljl8wd/prime_day_deals/). These are not the cheapest robots in each band, these are my recommendations based on the final Prime Day prices. Some prices do not fall off embargo until 7/8 (Prime Day) so you may not see them until then. I will be incredibly busy during Prime Week, so may not be able to answer comments. I haven't tested every vacuum on the market, but I've tested a lot of them. Not offended if you have a differing opinion and voice that, my opinions are based on real world testing in my home, which I write about on Lifehacker. The links below will be affiliate links, you don't have to use them, but it is appreciated. # Best vacuum under $100 Controversial opinion, but I don't believe there is a best under $100. Infact, robots worth the investment under $700 are rare, as I explain in [this post.](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/) So these robots should be viewed as tech toys you're playing around with, rather than cleaning tools that will make your life easier. Buy whatever strikes your fancy, it's unlikely to be useful as a robovac, but might be a worthy cat toy. # Best vacuum under $300 People just don't talk about the Switchbots enough in here, and I wish I knew why. Aside from having a kick ass brand identity (chonky robots that bridge a technology gap for people), they are affordable and work better than most tech products out there. I'm a huge fan of their smart home sensors and the SwitchBot button. When I got the [K10+](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) to test about 18 months ago, I was just tickled. First, it's tiny. It's like an M&M roaming your floor. At 8 inches, it cuts a tight radius around your chair legs, and can get into tiny spaces. There's no advanced tech on here, it just does a bangup job vacuuming, and then returning to its humbly small self emptying dock. Sure, there is a "mop", kinda sorta... but its just a swiffer situation, and it sucks. Ignore it (easy to do). This is a vacuum, and can more confidently manage carpet (under your bed, too!) better than most I've tried. Sure, you'll have to unclog it occasionally, but that's what you get at this price. The pro took the suction from 2500Pa to 3000Pa, which doesn't seem like much, but I can go on for hours on a nerdy rant about how much suction doesn't really matter. Whichever you get, this is the bot to beat at this price. The only interesting nugget about the 3i when I agreed to test it was that it promised to never need a water refill. i'd just finished testing the narwal Freo Z, which has to be topped up a few times a day and an autonomous robot sounded fantastic. You shouldn't like the 3i. It looks like an exhibit in a kids science museum. It weighs like 50lbs, and there is nothing notable about the robot itself. it looks like a generic robovac. I was so blown away by the performance, I haven't shut up about it since. In the history of my testing, i have kept 3 robovacs, and this is one of them. I just place new robots I'm testing in front of it, because I'm not moving that Gdamn tower for anything, it lives there now. Theres the design: these 2 forward sweeps rotate inward, and have constant downward pressure on the floor. They're huge, and very effective. The roller doesn't get clogged. Let me repeat. I let it vacuum up dog toy floof. Mulch. Receipts. NOTHING deterred this robot. And the mop was very effective, too. Was it the best mop I've tested? No. But it ranks up there. And the water cleaning actually works, I know because for a week, we had it mop up anything we could think of. Vinegar. Black dye water. Maple syrup. Tomato juice. And not only was the resulting clean water tank crystal clear, I used PH strips to test it, and it remained stable. It just metabolized anything we ran it over. It's been a few months and I've never had to refill the water, not once. It's finally an autonomous robot, and for that, it'd be worth it at $1899. But for $1139, I don't need to think about whether its better to spend less on a high end Roborock, the 3i is cheaper. |3i S10 Ultra|$1899.99|$1139.99 w code: S10USAVE5|40%|[https://amzn.to/3GsRZlm](https://amzn.to/3GsRZlm)| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| # Best vacuum if you have no budget Embargo'd til 7/7 # Best vacuum if you have thresholds The good news, since many of you are trying to decide between the Saros 10/10r and the Dreame X50 Ultra, is that I can make it easy. Get the Dreame X50. You won't like the reason I recommend it, though. It's simple: the Roborock Saros 10 is not, for reasons I don't get, on Prime Day special, only the 10R is. While the 10 and 10r are [supposed](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-saros-10-vs-saros-10r-robot-vacuum-comparison) to have very similar builds with a lifting chassis, they don't act like it. The 10 is a better robot than the X50, so if you can afford it, buy it. If not, the X50 is a fine robot. Genuinely. And I never got tired of watching it yeet itself over thresholds and steps. The AI onboard helped the robot get better over time at navigation, and if anything, my only complaint is that it had to return to dock all the time to top up or recharge, so cleaning a whole house took a long time to get done. Worth mentioning: I recently tested the Mova P50 Ultra, and while I thought the robot wasn't worth the price (by a lot), it did delight me in how it sailed over thresholds but also turned sideways to actively clean the threshold itself (but don't buy it, the build sucks). |Roborock Saros 10|$1599.99|$1599.99|0|[https://amzn.to/40xGAHO](https://amzn.to/40xGAHO)| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Dreame X50 Ultra|$1699.99|1199.99|29%|[https://amzn.to/3GrCzhm](https://amzn.to/3GrCzhm)| |Roborock Saros 10R|$1,599.99|1,279.99|20%|[https://amzn.to/4lFxi4W](https://amzn.to/4lFxi4W)| # Best vacuum for pets Embargo'd til 7/7 # Best vacuum if you don't want a mop Embargo'd til 7/7 # Best vacuum if you don't want an auto-emptying tower This is absurd, you should want the tower, or there's almost no point in getting a robovac to begin with. r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →without having tested the L50 U, your assessment nails my testing. I think people aren't giving these lifting chasses enough credit (though y'all didn't like the X50 and I thought it did well in testing). Saros weren't as big a leap forward from the s8/Qrevo as I wanted, but when they're on sale, I think they hold value.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →A couple weeks ago I had to also make the choice and after a lot of research I went for the Saros 10R. Roborock as a brand comes out as most reliable it seems. As well as having the best app. And then Saros 10R is a top model, one of the best you can get right now.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Get a [3i G10+](https://amzn.to/48znS7N). I can't tell you it will always handle the cat litter, but it stands the best chance. Almost all robovacs have no go zones, and the sweep is great with short hair. Navigation is an issue for you, but the G10 managed my home w no issue (smaller, but similar situation w many rooms). As for the Shark and Roomba, you've just been dating bad dudes, my friend. You deserve better :)
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I'm surprised how much I actually enjoy these threads. So I'm going to kill two of yours and reintroduce one. I don't think those are the right q revos to look at... If anything I'd say the max V. But I can make it easy because if you can afford the robots that you're talking about I think it comes down to four models. The s8 maxv ultra which shakes out to be the best of the S8 line. The curv, which is also excellent, but slightly different from the s8. Saros 10 Saros 10r Do you have thresholds? If so, get the 10. Do you have a lot of obstacles on your floor? Like a fan and lamps and furniture and other crap small spaces that the robot needs to go into? If so, get a 10r, even if you have thresholds. You don't have thresholds or small spaces, I would consider the S8 or curv, because they're excellent, and dramatically cheaper. And excepting the issue with thresholds, I'm not highly sold that the Saros are $700 better. And the best part is, there is no wrong answer. The main differentiator is the shape of the tower and that the curv has twin spinning mops and the s8 has a vibrating mop pad. Because you have ceramic tile, and I do too, that means you have grime. For that reason I recommend the s8. I believe the vibrating pad does better on grind
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →How weird, I typed out a LONG comment and it never published. BAH. ok... so here's your deal. You're gonna struggle with those rugs unless they are really locked down to the floor or you have a robot with a lifting chassis. Generally, when someone has 2 stories I think a better solution is to get 2 less expensive robots instead of shuttling one between floors. The point of robots is autonomy, so.... give them their own domain. With that said, you've got a house that doesn't have a lot of challenges, so we just have to focus on cat litter and human hair. The leaning towards the Flow tells me you're emphasizing mopping, but I'd say vacuuming is equally important in your house. For that reason, get a [Saros 10r](https://amzn.to/46Y6lUd). Its equally good at mopping and vacuuming and has the lifting chassis. Its got the best shot at not getting clogged with cat litter (the BEST would be the 3i S10, but it doesn't have a lifting chassis). If you can afford it, get 2! but really, get one now, shuttle it between floors and get a second for Black Friday when you realize I was right about schlepping it up and down stairs.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →10R here, dont have any streaking at all. Very happy with it.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I don't think anything compares to the S10. Honestly, I don't. A robot you don't have to change the water on? That sucks up giant debris? it's currently 800$ off, so compared to other $1000 robots, its not even close. BUT.... I still think their P10 is a good deal as well. its down to $46. i also really like the J15 lineup, and the Saros 10/10r. Lots of them are great robots, I just think this one is really different.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →The 10 isn't going to go on sale, tho.... only the 10R. Now, I still think the 10 is a great vacuum, so don't be deterred. Honestly, I didn't think one was dramatically better than the other on carpet. Where I saw a difference was mopping and navigation. I prefer the vibrating mop on the 10, for sure. Don't get the deebot. If you do get the 10, here's an affiliate link to amazon, if you feel inclined. r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →At that price point, this weekend, you can get a premium model. Yes, there are still some compromises- often models are better at one thing than another. But most are good enough at both, I think getting 2 bots isn't the solution. But also, you need to know... roombas, even the new line, are just terrible. Go with another brand. Heres a list of every single model on sale: [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1p2d4qy/every\_black\_friday\_deal\_on\_robovacs/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1p2d4qy/every_black_friday_deal_on_robovacs/) And what I'd recommend at those price points, including the band you're talking about. r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →some thoughts. first, buy it next week since most are on [sale.](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/comment/nhmjcxj/?context=1) Some thoughts on the models above: the p50 has a known hardware problem that they never seem to solve. Skip it. The S70 is a gimmick and separately, not a great vacuum. Trying to be too much. The Aqua 10 is fine, but leaks for a lot of people. I like the x9 or the 10R as options.... the Dreame models you noted aren't my favs.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Hey. I have textured white tile. It makes me INSANE, because grime settled into the pitted areas of the tile. Here's my advice, after testing 50 or so robots. It makes sense that the best results would be from the spinning mop pads, but they're the least effective. For reasons I am unable to explain, the vibrating mod pad seems to be the most effective, far better than roller mops. The vibrating does the best job, and some newer models like Saros 10/10R have the lifting chassis that seems to be a good job of putting downward pressure on the mop. That all said... its unrealistic to expect that the robot, any robot, will get grime off your tiles. The best you should hope for is that manual scrubbing will do that, and a robot can maintain it (more or less).
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →easy peasy. its beteen the saros and dreame, the roomba is laughable, and the e28 has a lot of errors. I prefer the Saros.

r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →lol. I also really liked the 10R, and while I was lukewarm on a lot of Dreame bots, the X50 was honestly pretty great.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →oooh. that's a good note. i'll email and ask about it! They're a new brand. They started with a Kickstarter, but after I wrote about them, they started to get reviewed well by other outlets, so I think they're on the way up. Look. the 10r is also a very good robot, but not AS good, and also more expensive. Until 7/8, who knows, but that's the price they've told me, and the embargo on it dropped yesterday. but... for instance, yeedi just updated their PD prices and they got even better deals, so who knows? On 7/8 I'll try hard to do a quick update in the morning... (i would LOVE help from someone checking prices on the graph for me... happy to send a thank you in the mail).
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I just tested and reviewed this one and gave it 3 out of 5 Stars. I was very unimpressed. Although I'm not done with my testing of the z70, it is not ready for prime time. The x50 was good, And I think that would be a fine purchase. I also highly recommend the saros 10r and 10. But... I was alone out of the water with the 3i S10 and no one talks about it.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →that's accurate, FWIW. The 10 is a a clear successor to the S8 line and the 10R is closer to the QRevo line. Generally, i think the Saros 10 is worth a few hundred bucks more than the s8 maxv ultra, but not like, 700 more, which is what it usually is.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I can make it easy. Get the Roborock. The 10 works better.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →This isnt true, the Saros 10R has lidar as well. The 10 has a retractable lidar and the 10R has one built into its Starsight system and is less prone to failure because it doesnt require a spinning turret. Here is a good comparison between the 2 bots: https://vacuumwars.com/roborock-saros-10r-vs-10-comparison/
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →These models are SO discounted for PD, I wouldn't wait. Get the 10.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Hey. I've listed every [single price](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every_robovac_on_sale_for_amazon_big_deal_days/) for the Big Deal Days sale, and my recommendations [per price band](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nzbtex/big_deal_day_recommendations_by_price_band_these/). However, I'm getting the same questions over and over, so here's some additional context. # Best Robot for Long Hair (human or pet) Hair is the foil of all robot vacuums. It doesn't just wrap around the rollers, it also gets wrapped around the sweeps and the wheels, and while it doesn't hurt the robot, it will make it less effective, and require you to clean it more often. This isn't a problem with short haired pets (they have a different problem). Yes, having high suction is important, but it doesn't always translate to getting more debris up. In the case of long hair, nothing beats a razor cutter on the robot, and the only line that has one that I recommend is the Eureka J15 line. I like this line a lot for other reasons, too, but if you've got a long hair problem, this is the answer. There are J15s at a number of price points. [Eureka J15 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4gUYACY) [Eureka J15 Evo Ultra](https://amzn.to/42tMbQF) [Eureka J15 Max Ultra](https://amzn.to/46UkK3x) # Best Robot for Short Haired Pets Now, you have a different problem, which is sticky hair. Short hair sticks to the floor, it climbs the walls, and you need a sweep that will effectively get it off the ground and move it toward the roller, where the vacuum can capture it. The sweep plays a critical role here, and the sweeps that are most effective are large, in constant contact w the ground, and move in opposite directions. Eufy e25/e28 have the right design for this, but I don't recommend them for other reasons. The models that I've found that do this best are the 3i G10, P10 and S10. I love these models for other reasons, but those sweeps seal the deal for me on short hair. It's just a bonus that they are also the only models that can suck up cat litter without clogging. [3i G10+](https://amzn.to/48znS7N) [3i P10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4h1Sy3y) [3i S10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4o7hKIe) # Best Robot for Carpet If you've got a whole house of carpet, I like the Dreame X50, Dreame L40, Eureka J15 Ultra, and Switchbot K11+. That's not to say other robots suck at vacuuming, they don't. But I like these models specifically on carpet, and if you've just got one room with carpet, consider getting the K11+ for that room alone. Its cheap and great at navigating under beds, etc. [Dreame X50 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4h77Wfa) [Dreame L40 Ultra](https://amzn.to/48Rswhk) [Eureka J15 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4gUYACY) [SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://amzn.to/4mOxq1O) # Best Robot for LVP Lots of people have LVP and want something specialized for it. In truth, there's nothing special about it. A robot good at hard floors will work for LVP. There aren't really robots that leave a lot of water behind anymore. # Best Robot for Area Rugs This is not a model specific problem, its a rug problem. Rugs have to be well anchored to the ground (a grip pad isn't going to cut it forever), and the lower the profile, the better. Think Ruggables. If a rug starts to roll up on an end, the robot is going to have trouble. If a rug has fringe, its a bad match for a robot. Even bathroom rugs are rough for robots. All that said, a robot with a lifting chassis is going to have an easier time getting onto a rug. Think X50, Saros 10/10r, CurvX. [Dreame X50 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4h77Wfa) [Roborock Qrevo CurvX](https://amzn.to/48PvS4j) [Saros 10/10r](https://amzn.to/4nyiwy5) # Best Robot for Small Spaces Get a Switchbot K11+. That is all. It's a vacuum only, but costs next to nothing, and is shockingly full of premium features. It also is a effective vacuum, getting into places no other robot can because of its size. [SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://amzn.to/4mOxq1O) # Best Robot for Corners This doesn't exist. No robot is great at corners. In fact, most robots aren't great at the "edges" of rooms, they're mostly good at the main open area of a room. You have to let this go. The best you can do is get a robot with extending sweeps/brushes. A lot of robots have these now, and they're one of the best features. # Best Robot if You're Hellbent on a Roller Mop Everyone in this Reddit forum is convinced rollers are the end all/be all of mops. I disagree. They're fine. But if you're just absolutely determined to get one, get the Flow. Eufy's e25/e28 models were riddled with errors, and Dreame's roller mop leaks and streaks. The Flow was easily the best of the bunch. [Narwal Flow](https://amzn.to/3IxMoLX) # Best Robot for People with ADHD Also, my favorite robot. The point of a robot, for me, is autonomy. I want it to do the damn job, with as little required of me as possible. Otherwise, I might as well do the job myself. While most robots do help, they also require upkeep and new, consistent input. Change the water, change the filter, unclog it, find it where it got stuck on a cord, etc. And then, I tried the 3i S10, which i had zero expectations of, because I'd never heard of the brand. This is the robot to get if you're overwhelmed and just want the job done. It vacuums EVERYTHING without clogging. Does it silently. It mops well, and both makes its own water and sanitizes the water it recycles so you never have to change the water. It's got downsides: its effing HUGE and heavy. It looks like an exhibit at a science museum. Its expensive, and some people say it smells musty (it makes water via a dehumidifier, so that makes sense). But readers, I would marry mine. [3i S10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4o7hKIe) \------------------------------- For some context, I[write about robovacs](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1l48fms/i_write_about_robot_vacuums_for_a_living_ama/)both for an online pub and my own site. r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Hey, I am as excited as you are to test a DJI robot, but that's all. Test it. I can't see any reason to wait, because it could (and likely will) have quirks that need to be worked out. And I like DJI. There are a lot of brands, but I agree with the Roborock sentiment for this reason: they are consistently putting out good machines, whereas most other companies are hit and miss for me, and some are just consistent misses. If your dad is getting these clean via Swiffer, almost anything is going to be better or atleast the same, EXCEPT for the "edges" of rooms. He may still Swiffer, but atleast it'll only be toekicks, corners, under the stove/fridge, etc. I don't have numbers on the Saros downward force... they may well be out there. But just think of it this way, that lifting chassis brings up the front of the robot to go over thresholds. The back is forced downward, where the mop is. What I can say is that I think you can't go wrong here and you're probably making yourself more nuts than you have to. Both were GREAT machines and honestly, I had a very hard time saying one was better. They're mildly different, that's all. Based on what you're saying, if you trust me, go with a 10R.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Hi. I review robots for a living. That store link was super helpful. My advice is simple: get a roborock. I think the S8 Maxv Ultra is a fantastic model, around $1000. The Saros 10/10R are also there, and also great. Personally, i prefer a mop pad, so I'd say the 10, not the 10R. The prices are close enough that I'd say the Saros might be worth these few $$. I don't enjoy either model you named...the Mova has cheap hardware, and the X9 was incredibly Meh in performance.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Between the two, no question, the Flow is better (I tested both). Still, neither beats the 3i S10 Ultra, and I think they're both on par with the Saros 10/10r. I know everyone wants roller mops to be the end all be all, but so far, they're good, but didn't blow my mind.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →There is no perfect robovac.... but... I like the robots with split rollers, like the Roborock Saros line. These also have a removable tray, and I think the hardware is solid. But in reality, almost all premium robovacs and even the midtiers have these features (removable trays, etc).
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I was a fan. In particular, a little quirk of the 10r. Is that because of the internal lidar/ ai assisted camera navigation, It was so much more daring than other robots. It was willing to slide into spots underneath low-hanging indoor plants and tight squeezes. And even though it mostly has the same chassis as the 10, it didn't have the problems of the 10, which kept trying to yeet itself over anything it could. My only complaint is that I prefer a singular vibrating mop pad to two spinning mops and the 10r had the two spinning mops and they left the singular mop pad for the 10.
