Damn I really wish to have a full review from you on the X40, it's kind of my favorite (bought two, first on December, the second one today, and thank god no need of support just yet) and I always love hearing reviews that compare it to other robot vacuums, because in my eyes and in my experience - it's perfect, yet I hear so many complaints about it that I just keep on praying to never need to use the warranty...
r/Roborock Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->I really appreciate the thorough response man, truly. I hope you never need customer service ???? and it seems to be a global thing with Dreame, as the complaints go from country to country as I hear them...I just really hope to never need them. And tbh, in my country they didn't bring the Saros 10R, only the 10, so I wasn't so keen in getting it with the vibrating moppad.. Also the retractable Lidar that has expiry times-of-use threw me off a little.. So I ended up considering either another X40 or Ecovacs x8 for the roller-mop, but ecovacs' last release here got destroyed in reviews, and so I just decided to go with what I know (and love, for now lol)
r/Roborock Saros 10R 24 Hour Review ->Just got the [Dreame X40 Ultra ](https://www.reddit.com/user/Accurate_Shine5695/comments/1jhg9u6/best_highend_robot_vacuums_of_2025_a_quick/)and its a game changer for pet hair! Super strong suction, picks up all the fur without any issues. Plus, the vacuum AND mop combo is perfect for keeping everything spotless. The self-cleaning and self-emptying features are a big bonus, less hassle for me. Highly recommend if youve got pets!
r/RobotVacuums Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair Now ->The Dreame X40 Ultra uses advanced LiDAR navigation and AI-powered object recognition to effectively detect and avoid obstacles, including small objects and potential hazards. Its upgraded sensors make it more reliable in handling unexpected messes compared to older models like the Roborock S7. While no RoboVac is 100% foolproof, the X40's smarter navigation significantly reduces the chances of mishaps like running through pet waste.
r/RobotVacuums Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair Now ->Recently got a Dreame X40 Ultra, its pretty nice. Cant think of anything else Id need from a vacuum. I just change the water containers; liquid detergent usage is pretty minimal so itll last months. Love that the mops are detachable magnetic pads instead of the velcro type and it automatically washes & dries them at the base station
r/RobotVacuums Mid-high tier robot vacuum needed (with ability to mop) ->I am often surprised, and offended at how much difference there is in premium robots (which is what I tend to test, rather than budget or midrange). You should expect, if you pay that much, for a robot to work. This problem is much worse in lawnbots, but there is no condition under which I would purchase a Roomba or Eufy on purpose. Doesn't matter what model. I'm most impressed by Roborock, Dreame and Ecovacs. That said, each model is different. For instance, I thought the X40 was just fine. Didn't blow me out of the water. But I think the X50 is quite good, although it still has some navigation issues. I haven't tested the Monsga line, sorry.
r/RobotVacuums I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA. ->this is easy! Freo Z uses too much water, you have to refill it ALL THE TIME. hard pass. Dreame x40 is.. good... but not great. The S8 MaxV Ultra is truly great.
r/RobotVacuums Help me choose: Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV vs. Dreame X40 Ultra. ->I did. I thought the x50 was a nice upgrade, but the x40 was ok.
r/RobotVacuums Big Deal Day Recommendations by House Needs ->If it makes you feel better L40 and X40 no better
r/Dreame_Tech This is how bad the L20 is at the vacuuming carpets / rugs. ->Pleased you are amused. What is the point in telling people bull shit. I've had an L20, L40, X40. The only one with no issues was the L20 and is still going strong. The L40 and X40 were replaced twice. I've had problems with Samsung . . I'm currently running a roborock, useless with obstacle avoidance, excellent on carpet, and a Eufy E28, very good but a very basic app. It isn't just about Dreame it's about giving no bull shit honest opinions
r/RobotVacuums  Dreame L50 Ultra Durability ->Hmm . . X40 and x50 I tried both poor. L50 best one I've had
r/Dreame_Tech Confused by Dreames naming? Heres a simple cheat sheet. ->Eufy has excellent customer service. They sent me replacement parts for S1 Pro and took a follow-up 2 times to make sure all was working fine. Dreame customer service sucks. I have feeling no 1 over there understand basic English or the translation app they use is joke. I was able to dispute the situation with my credit card and got a refund for $1800. Never buying that crap again. This was my 2nd X40 purchase for my parents.
r/RobotVacuums Dreame is a scam ->That would make it non returnable sadly. Weird how it get scratches so easily though because my X40 Ultra has zero scratches after months.
r/Dreame_Tech L40s Pro Ultra is absolute disaster on Carpet. ->Quick answer: Yes Explanation: Whilst spinning mops were more of a "it maintains a clean floor reasonably well" deal. The rollers are a "I can clean the entire house properly without you doing anything" deal. Some will argue they are worse with dried on stains, which I guess is true, but reality is, with my Aqua 10 has rarely seen a stain which it did not remove on the first pass. Anything from like dirty shoe footprints to oil from cooking it picked up in one pass. (If that botters you, you can just quickly spray the dirty stains with some water before it passes over it, so it is a bit soaked I guess, but in my experience the X40 also had problems with such stains). Now lastly maintenance. And honestly, this is the main issue, right now we are using first gen rollers, which the manufacturers didn't really take time to consider how the products themselves would be cleaned. I found that having it vacuum, and then vacuum and mop was the best way to prevent any debris entering the mopping system, so no need to clean it every week, rather every 2 weeks maybe.
r/RobotVacuums Are roller mops the only sensible choice now? ->I have a Dreame X40 Pro Ultra. It purports to have this feature, but I've never tested it since I have a cat that goes in its litter box.
r/askSingapore Best robot vacuum for poop avoidance ->We love this thing otherwise. It works great. Got it for about $1600 during a sale. It's still expensive of course, but for our house totally worth it. Never vacuum and mop by hand anymore!
r/askSingapore Best robot vacuum for poop avoidance ->One more thing... On pretty much any of these units, you can designate certain areas to avoid completely. If the dog accidents are always near the pads, you could just designate that whole area off-limits to the vac.
r/askSingapore Best robot vacuum for poop avoidance ->Ive got the x40 and im super happy so far. We have both hard floor and rugs and it cleans them really well.
r/RobotVacuums Which one of these 3? ->Hated dog hair the bin is small and it had no option to go back any faster to the base to empty so it would just push piles of hair around till the algorithm told it to go back and empty but it would never retouch the pile it left. they kept telling me to select a function that was not in my menu. so they took it back took months but its gone. and service is 1 email a day after they answer the phone on first ring so one problem will take a week to sort out and they dont want to call you back, just email there comes in around 2 am yours goes back at around 9am and then wait
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Only vacuums above $800 will handle that threshold. Anything below will not even attempt it. Outside that the Dreame L40 or X40 and Mova P10 are your best options for $400.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I did. I thought the x50 was a nice upgrade, but the x40 was ok.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I just got an eBay refurbished X40 Ultra. It has been great so far. But I dont think any robot vacuum can truly replace a handheld vacuum/mop. I tend to think of these as a nice maintenance option to keep the dust bunnies and grime down. But I will still be doing semi regular vacuuming and mopping by hand.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Im happy with my X40 Ultra. I got it refurbished from EBay
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I purchased a refurbished Dreame X40 Ultra from eBay. Its been super solid. I just got the tricut brush to see if I can get a little bit better performance on carpet with our shedding dogs.
r/homeassistant • View on Reddit →Ya Its so worth it! I bought the L40 for $400 on Amazon. Returned cause the X40 went on sale for $499 with $150 of extras at Costco!

r/Roborock • View on Reddit →People also expect a plug in vacuum performance from a tiny Robovac. But yea also pleased with my $500 X40!
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Totally worth it get a Mova p10 pro ultra its the same thing as a dreame x40 for a fraction of the price under a different brand. I dont even have kids and it saves ao much time and effort. I was completely against it when my fiance wanted one but i have changes my mind completely since we got it.
r/homeowners • View on Reddit →If you have the gift card, I dont have one but dont want the e25, Im looking at the mova z60, I just dont want the experience we had with the dreame x40 pushing dog hair around and never really picking it up. we have the bot run everyday a little over half the house twice a week and the main are daily with 2 german shedders well you get it
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Roborock saros 10r top of our list Eufy E25 2nd this is already at BF pricing according to eufy Dreame/mova same company and had x40 returned it Narwal not seeing the fantastic reviews from individuals and the onboard bin might be too small for 2000sqft home with 2 shepherds even with daily vac JMHO

r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I have the X40 Ultra and really enjoy it.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Yes, dont spend too much, these extra features are not that great benefit. 40s will do the job and prices will fall as usual and then u can think about another model because the price fits the benefit. And dont expect too much. You still have to clean by yourself sometimes.

r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →New Dreame stores in southern california have the X40 ultra with tri-cut hair brush on sale for $500 until Fathers Day. Just have to call to place the order and they should ship anywhere in the US. Great deal and got one myself!
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I just shipped out my x40 they offered me a x50 refirb but i said no. I'm done with dreame and mova is just another division of them. Looking a roborock revo curvx, narwel flow or the ecovac deebot x11 but thier t50 pro max is coming highly recommended with dog hair. still looking
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Sounds like its the one, my x40 never got an update to make it empty more often
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I just bought the X40, and if what you say is true, your robot should last me at least 10 years, given how well you make your products Pain point: pet hair getting stuck on wheels and brush, despite tricut. Other than that i am pretty happy so far! P.s. I live in EU, so a nice sale would he nice why do always US get the best sales?? You could give us some love for having governments that dont hate on China!
r/Dreame_Tech • View on Reddit →I have the dreame x40 ultra. I call it Optimus prime. I love my vacuum. Software is easy and the robot does a pretty good job. I still have to vacuum and mop every now and then, but my apartment is always clean.
r/homeassistant • View on Reddit →The Dreame X40 can really do everything. The object avoidance is great. The navigation is top notch and it uses it's side brunch effectively to get into corners. I've had mine since launch in May of 2024. It's been pretty solid.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Can only speak from my own experience, but Ive had the X40 since December last year and had no issues with it- apart from a dodgy software update that was fixed in a week. It cleans a large 2 bedroom flat with a short haired dog most days and the communal hallway twice a week all in its stride. The hallway has a set of stairs at the end and never had any problems with its fall avoidance. I would say to use distilled water if like me you live in a hard water area.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I was juiced to get the dreame x40 for 500 bucks USD direct from the Ontario mills store. came with the tri cut brush and the cleaning solution. Not a perfect machine but I am happy with it
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I had an x40 ultra that got warranty refunded. Im in my first week with my L50 ultra and Im cautiously optimistic. After a few days fiddling with settings it is operating how I would like it and doing a decent job of it. It does have the hardware for matter but is not yet supported. The only negative I have so far is that its battery life is atrocious.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Dreame x40 with the hair cutting roller
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →I have literally the exact opposite experience. X40 has been legendary.
r/Dreame_Tech • View on Reddit →I have two Golden Mountain dogs - Bernese-Golden mixes. The shedding is something else. All hardwood. I just picked up a Dreame X40 with a tricut brush. Plan is to have it run every night. So far so good after a few nights, but I suspect Ill be changing the bag every week. I think as long as it goes every night, it should stay ahead of it. Was $499 on Black Friday sale.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →too many issues and never solved the first problem and then the second started
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I have the S1 Pro. It would do a much better job then the X40 regarding mopping and have navigation that's at least as good. But the X40 as a massive edge in corner cleaning and vacuuming on carpet.
r/Dreame_Tech • View on Reddit →I have a Dreame X40 ultra. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 sheddy dogs and it does an ok job on carpet and a pretty good job on hardwood. I bought it refurbished on Amazon for around $700
r/smarthome • View on Reddit →I've got a dreamtech which has self cleaning mops and it does pretty good. I've also got 2 kids and toys all over the floor and it barely gets stuck.

r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →If you can go to Costco the Robovac 508 is the Dreame X40 Ultra for $499 with about $150 worth of extras. If you want to stay at $400 I would suggest the L40 Ultra, personal preference but alot of this sub likes the P10 which is also a great vacuum. Tbh Mova and Dreame are like Kia and Hyundai, both use the same parts, same chassis, share ownership. So you can't really go wrong with either. They are basically the same unit.

The really good for maintaining a clean. I have dreame x40 and it's really good. It vacuums and mops but once every two weeks or so I do a manual vacuum and mop.
