I have the roborock edge and I actually really like it! My long hair doesn't get stuck in it. Tip: let it vacuum only first and then schedule it to vacuum and mop afterwards. That way the long hair doesn't get tangled in the mop or station.

Roborock Qrevo CurvX. Had the Edge S5A for a few weeks I got from Prime day sale, but felt like I should’ve went with one with better threshold clearance and obstacle avoidance. Also getting 10% off on top of the sale price makes it seem perfect for price and features.

# [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the K10+ Pro on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. If you're looking for a carpet forward model, Eureka is the only legacy vacuum brand that successfully transitioned to robots that work. While no brand has great customer service anymore, there's a benefit to Eureka being US based. No waiting 24 hours for a response. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://amzn.to/4mOxq1O)|399.99|224.99|44%| |[3i G10+](https://amzn.to/48znS7N)|$449.99|$269.99|40%| |[Eureka E20 Plus](https://amzn.to/4mOwQBd)|449.99|299.99|33%| # [Under $500](https://amzn.to/4o4MPMA) Were seeing some amazing deals in this price band. That L40 Ultra has dropped from the original price of $1499 to under $500. So many people have been grabbing this model since Prime Day and most of them report being quite happy. While it wouldn't have been my favorite at a higher price, at this price, you're getting a premium model at an absurd sale price. I absolutely love the 3i current line up. The vacuum and mop are both fantastic and the app-easy. This is basically my top pick (3i S10 Ultra) minus the dehumidifier. The P10 still has the great sweep/roller design and gets up debris no other brand can without getting clogged. Get this one if you're concerned about larger debris. The Eureka is better than it should be. I loved the sweeper design, it moved debris off hard floors and carpet very effectively and would be my pick for carpet. Rarely got stuck on anything or reported errors, and it was just really reliable. I recommended this model during Prime Day, and got a lot of good feedback from folks who picked it up. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame L40 Ultra](https://amzn.to/48Rswhk)|$799.99|$469.99|41%   | |[Eureka J15 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4gUYACY)|699.99|489.99|30%| |[3i P10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4h1Sy3y)|$1,099.99|$469.99|55%| # [Under $750](https://amzn.to/4nypaUV) Roborock has won my loyalty over the past few years by producing consistently reliable robots, and the S5A is no different. A variant of the Qrevo line, with spinning mop heads that extend. While Roborock may produce an absurd number of models, and the S5A is no exception, they are reliable for an exceptional app experience, with intuitive setting locations, great support and good hardware with easy to find replacement parts. The L40S is the best of both worlds. A premium vac, at a not premium price for now. This is the model with the best balance on this list, of vacuum and mop. It improves over the L40 in the previous band with better nav and suction. Finally, if you want to emphasize mopping, Narwal does it really well. My two issues w this model are that it uses a ridiculous amount of water and there's a giant button on top of the machine your pet or kid will want to bop. If you don't mind refilling a lot, and you dig into the settings to lock the button (or don't have kids/pets) this is ideal. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Narwal Freo Z Ultra (White Version)](https://amzn.to/46IEhUI)|$1,499.99|$550.00|63%| |[Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A](https://amzn.to/46ZYXI5)|$999.99|$649.99|35%| |[Dreame L40s Ultra](https://amzn.to/4o5ARCv)|$1,099.99|$749.99|32%| # [Under $900 ](https://amzn.to/4oad9oS) From the day it was released, I thought the Curv was a steal, most of the premium features of the S8 line, at a better price with improvements to the sweeps, extending out beyond the robot. The CurvX improves on the Curv with higher Pa and better nav. I do think its a better vacuum than mop. The X9 is a better mop than vacuum. but other than getting clogged here and there, was generally a good vacuum, and this is a reasonable price for it. Eureka is the best surprise this year. The J15 line is consistent and reliably performing. I love the sweeps, its a very effective mop and carpet cleaner and offers US based support. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Ecovacs x9 Pro Omni](https://amzn.to/46CySzK)|$1,599.00|$899.00|44%| |[Eureka J15 Max Ultra](https://amzn.to/46UkK3x)|1199.99|$899.00|25%| |[Roborock Qrevo CurvX](https://amzn.to/48PvS4j)|$1,499.99|$899.99|40%| # [Over $900 ](https://amzn.to/48OKBMY) In this band are my top two recommendations. Let's start with my favorite robot of all time (a BIG statement). 3i has been making robots for other brands for a while, but the 3i is their first flagship. The S10 Ultra blew me away and became the only robot I've ever kept after testing. It will vacuum anything, without getting stuck or clogged. I mean, giant pieces of mulch. No problem. It cleans water on its own and generates more from the air, so it truly is set it and forget it. Totally autonomous. I've been yapping about it for months, and of everyone who bought it during Prime Day, I'd say people were split, 60/40. Most loved it, but some complained of a musty smell, which makes sense, since the unit is basically a dehumidifier (that's how it generates water). I've had mine for 6 months and don't notice a smell in a very wet state (Oregon), but it seems like something worth noting. So let's talk about the Flow. I tested the Dreame and Narwal roller mops, (and previously, the Eufy roller mops). Everyone is obsessed with roller mops, but the Flow is the first one I recommend. The flow improves on the Freo Z and X by not needing to be refilled constantly, and the vacuum improves over all other Narwal models. I still don't think roller mops are the end all/be all, so I wouldn't recommend dropping $1500 of this model, but I do think the Flow is worth buying at this sale price. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[3i S10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4o7hKIe)|$1,899.99|$1,099.99|42%| |[Narwal Flow](https://amzn.to/3IxMoLX)|$1,499.99|$1,099.99|27%| If you're looking for ALL the models on sale for Big Deal Days, they're [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every_robovac_on_sale_for_amazon_big_deal_days/) or s[ee all sales models at once](https://amzn.to/4nt1sJH). At the moment it does everything I want from it, only thing I'd like is a bit better obstacle avoidance, specifically not climbing on furniture.

I prefer the s8 maxv ultra over the edge (returned the edge) the vacuuming is significantly better on the s8. The mopping is okay compared to the edge. My floors actually seemed worse with dirt after using the edge.

Why are robot vacuum model names so confusing? Anyway, I bought the Roborock Q Revo L (Australian model I think?) in the last Amazon sale and it's been lovely. The spinning mop heads actually work better than I expected - they obviously won't pick up everything like stubborn stains but they do a 90% job every time. I have the one with the auto emptying dustbin, auto refilling and auto emptying water tanks, auto mop washing, and it's great - probably the best money I've spent all year. It does tend to get pretty dirty though, and the area where it washes and dries the mops tends to get a bit gunky and needs a good scrub pretty much weekly. Disclaimer: I've never owned a robot vacuum before this, so I could just be wowed by the whole thing in general rather than the specifics of this particular model

I have the Qrevo Edge. I never thought I would care about the mop but my god is it amazing on my hardwood floors. Handles 3 dogs and one is a husky. The vacuuming, mopping, and traversal have all been flawless since I bought it back last October or November. I love this robot and I was a die hard iRobot fan until I had enough.

How tall are the thresholds? Most can handle 2cm with no issue but only the x40 ultra (24mm) and the QRevo Curv/Edge (30mm for a single threshold, 40mm for two consecutive thresholds that are 30mm +10mm) handle higher. Otherwise, you’d have to use a ramp

Same, just got a Q Revo Edge C, missus setup the app side, all it needed was email address and sent a code, I can now monitor and automate what is configured. Talking about being quiet, its not so bad until the cleaning unit goes after return to base, otherwise, with the voice instructions, i just turn it off, I can deal noise of a cleaning tool, cleaning! Better than the noise of everyone complaining about an unclean place!

Second Roborock. I have the Q revo edge (out of your required budget) and it's a phenomenal vacuum. Great company too -, their app works flawlessly. The cheap branded ones tend to not have great suction power and leave a lot of dirt around.

I was doing research yesterday and came up with these options as well as the Narwal Z Ultra. I ended up deciding between the Dream X40 and the Roborock QRevo Edge. I bought the Roborock because it seemed to have everything I was looking for. Roborock also seems to have the most customizable and better app than the others. As for the X40, I decided against it when I saw Amazon state that it was a frequently returned item. There were several critical reviews mostly about the struggles with dealing with Dreame's customer support despite its 3 year warranty. My thoughts on the others: * Mova had some wheel issues resulting in people returning it. Besides this, the build of the vacuum seemed cheap compared to others * I avoided Ecovacs due to many comments on this sub and the poor app * 3i is a newer company. I saw more comments about the S10 so I didn't spend time looking into the P10 * Dreame L40 seemed like a potential option given how heavily discounted it was. But this wasn't available from Amazon and I didn't want to go through hoops from their website to buy it especially if I had issues with it later. * Narwal Z is great if you can hook it up to your water line. Otherwise, you'll be changing the water more frequently than others.

I originally got a qrevo pro, and returned it and bought the qrevo edge when it went on sale for 699. I've never really noticed any water left on carpet from the mops. I do agree that does seem like a nice feature though. Who knows, I probably just think roborock seems more reliable because they spent more money on their social media marketing and fake reviews etc. Maybe Dreame is a better brand. I really like the roborock app though, its really granular if you want it to be. I figure this will work well for 3-5 years then they will probably have the kinks worked out on the roller mop bots and I will get one of those.

Check out the youtube channel Vacuum Wars, he does a ton of comparisons and yearly roundups. I have one of the more recent Roborock ones where the roller on the bottom is split in the middle, and hair rolls inward (they call it DuoDivide). I have found it to do a good job of not tangling due to the way it's designed and it has worked great for me, though the thing definitely wasn't cheap. That being said, I wouldn't call almost any electronic device BIFL, especially ones with a lot of moving parts.

Similar situation. Had a S5 Max for years, ran it daily. Worked fine.  Just switched over to a Edge S5A. Main reasons: The auto emptying of the dust bin, so I would no longer have it clogged at times, and wouldn't have to empty it daily. And the mopping with the auto cleaning. Works great so far.  I didn't get the regular Edge because I didn't need the extra features it added over the S5A variant (camera, voice control, lifting over thresholds). Saved several hundreds that way.

I have the Qrevo Edge as well. I find it works best when you vacuum first and then mop (not vac & mop at same time). You can set up a routine to do this with one click or on a schedule. The difference between the suction of Max+ (only available when vacuuming without mopping) and Max (highest setting for vac & mop) is huge. Max+ is 18,500 Pa and Max is only 2,500 Pa. I got these numbers directly from Roborock.

I have the roborock edge and I actually really like it! My long hair doesn't get stuck in it. Tip: let it vacuum only first and then schedule it to vacuum and mop afterwards. That way the long hair doesn't get tangled in the mop or station.

For mopping, I would make sure it has the ability to wash the mop pads with warm water, and dry them with warm/hot air. Otherwise you may well end up with a stinky robot, and/or you need to manually wash & dry the mop pads regularly. I would spend the extra little bit to get e.g. a QRevo Edge S5A.

S5A all the way. The anti tangle brush roll alone is worth it, especially if you have pet

Sounds like a defective unit to me. I bought the QREVO edge from Roborock during their Black Friday sale. I previously had a shark matrix vacuum only robot for about a year that I HATED. The roborock edge has cleaned my floors so well that I basically only have to do touch up mops to my “no go” areas and I need to use my plug in upright vacuum on my heavy traffic rugs a couple times a week to make sure they’re clean. I do have a (non-shedding) dog and two cats. If I didn’t have those I’m not even sure I’d have to use the upright as often. I also run my robot OFTEN. I’m vacuuming twice a day in my heavy trafficked areas and mopping my heavily trafficked areas once a day at night. The area around the litter box gets mopped twice a day. I might be having more luck also because I have polished concrete floors and those don’t have any of the grooves and things for stuff to get stuck down into like other traditional flooring. I also had to tinker with the settings for about a week to get the vacuum/mop settings right for my flooring to get the results I wanted. I don’t think there was a single setting I didn’t alter slightly to get the optimal results for what I wanted. The app for this brand is phenomenal. Coming from the shark which had an AWFUL app interface, this roborock has been awesome for customization.

I would recommend the qrevo edge for its large tanks as its a curv with a different dock. I just went through two dreame flagships, x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller and they were hot garbage. Poor navigation, poor battery life, cheap construction and poor support are just some of the issues I faced while having them. Dark colors make them error out and low light conditions will cause navigation issues. I currently have a 2024 qrevo curv and 2025 qrevo curvx as I run two robots to clean the house every day on a 3 schedule cycle each. Roborock's app is the best and the Dreame app is buggy and laggy to use. Duo divide brushes will not tangle, the dreame double roller will tangle and it doesn't pick up as well as normal vacuums even with a higher pa rating. Just a dad, vacuum wars and vacuum nerds offer lots of videos for you to compare different models. No robot is perfect but Roborock is like the Toyota of robot vacuums.

I bought the Roborock edge because of their review and absolutely love it. I used to be a die hard iRobot user up until last September. Best vacuum I’ve ever used!

I wanted the camera so I went with the edge model. Seemed the cheapest option at 699 on amazon. If I didn't want the camera, I would have gone with the qx revo for $429 at costco - [https://www.costco.com/p/-/roborock-qx-revo-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-multifunctional-dock/4000233271?langId=-1](https://www.costco.com/p/-/roborock-qx-revo-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-multifunctional-dock/4000233271?langId=-1)

I have the Roborock Qrevo Edge. It’s a vacuum AND mop, and we bought it on sale. I’ve only had it for a week now but I can confidently say it’s amazing! I’m very picky about my floors being clean, so I run it once a day in the kitchen and every other day in the house and I can say it keeps my floors very very clean! But then again, no pets or children so I can’t really tell you if it will make dirtier floors spotless.

Totally. Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that.

I'm not sure what is actively considered a top vacuum but something I've learned the hard way is to make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. It's frustrating.

\> how does this work with a vacuum/mop unit? Will it mop around the rugs?  Most robots will be able to detect the rugs, and not mop them. It'll mop around them. \> will It clean my entire unit?  Sure. Most robots construct a map of your home by scanning it as it drives around. Then you can label and divide the map into rooms/zones. And set schedules to vacuum and/or mop all the rooms or only specific ones.mIf it runs out of battery or water before it finishes the whole unit, it'll go back and recharge/refill and then resume when ready. \> Any suggestions for someone like myself? I would get a unit with a tangle-resistant brush, spinning mop pads, and with a dock which can auto empty the dust bin and auto clean & dry the mop pads with warm water/air. You probably do not need the latest and greatest, e.g. with enhanced AI camera object detection, voice commands, roller mops, and possibly high threshold clearing ability. I ended up going with the Roborock QRevo Edge S5A, which, depending on where you live, can be found right around your budget. (I have had a Roborock S5 Max for 5+ years, and it has been going strong.)

I got the Roborock Edge back in September. The other half was not pleased with the money I spent but now she isn’t sweeping up dog fur everyday. She quickly grew to love it. Especially for the kitchen.

I swore to try out all sorts of new models of ecovacs and dreame following the retirement of my roborock S5, I'm now back to a qrevo edge after being disappointed by shit navigation on the ecovacs and an rma on Dreame. I'm usually not a brand loyalist when it comes to consumer tech, but fuck me buying anything but roborock has been horrible for me.

How tall is the piece of transition? For a single one up to 30mm, the roborock models with the AdaptiLift chassis (the most expensive QRevo Curv/Edge and the Saros line). Anything higher up to 4.2cm, if a threshold is less than 9cm long (5.2cm if it is at least 9cm long), will need the Dreame X50 Ultra or any equivalent MOVA model (V50 Ultra). I am aware that Dreame's L/X50 Ultra and any model (such as MOVA's V50 Ultra or the rare UK-only Dreame L40s Pro Ultra) that uses dual conical brushes has a *live fur compression* feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOU0uJsVdU), which helps mitigate the issue of pet fur clogging the dustbin, even though the space isn't fully utilized. I saw it in action, and I think it lives up to its claim. It also cleans its filter when auto-emptying. This should be helpful for homes with heavy shedders such as yours\~ For paw prints, I think a robot that can identify messes like this and act accordingly would be important too. Dreame and Narwal do well with this if you turn on certain functions, such as their smart cleaning mode and intelligent mess detection.

Generally: Dreame will have the best edge cleaning. This is on the x30 ultra and newer with the L/X40 ultra and newer models having an extendable side brush with the best extension algorithm right now. Mop extension lacks a spring which means it can ride up on quarter round floor moldings if your home has any. Roborock Saros 10R and the QRevo Edge/Curv are nice choices if there are no cables or pet accidents for it to eat. Narwal is a very solid option. The Freo Z ultra has the best smart cleaning mode. It’s okay taking care of things like hair and visible dust but still isn’t as good as vacuuming as it is at mopping. Eufy s1 pro is a very solid mopping option. Won’t edge clean as well as the above models but mops pretty well.

I also have the mopping Roborock and love it. We have 1 dog and 12 foster cats so daily sweeping and mopping is a necessity. It won’t save op money though I think it was $700. As long as the toys are picked up the only issue it occasionally has is with my really long hair getting wrapped around the rollers.
