You should look at a Roborock. iRobot has been going down hill for years and is on the verge of bankruptcy and Shark is universally panned as terrible robot vacuums. The three brands to look at are Roborock, Dreame, and Mova. If you aren't worried about price, Roborock Black Friday deals mean you can get one of their two top of the line robots (the Qrevo Curv X or the Saros 10R) for pretty decent deals at $850 and $1,050 respectively. I just got the Curv X and after a day of sending it around the house I really like it. Roborock is considered some of the best customer service so that should be important for you.
r/RobotVacuums • No carpet, all hardwoods, massive amounts of Bernese mtn dog fur. Any price, USA. ->I am torn between your Roborock CurvX ($899) recommendation and the Roborock Edge ($949), so not a significant difference in cost. The docking station on the CurvX is absurdly huge (and looks like cheap plastic). My layout requires me to place the dock on visible areas. Coming from another Roborock S model that had never been an issue. Are the extra features and performance of the CurvX that much better than the Edge? Power suction is already high on the Edge, I only see the retractable lidar as a difference, is there anything else?
r/RobotVacuums • Big Deal Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->If you do compare feature on vacum wars web site You can see which has matter Recommend a robo rock qrevo for auto mation Eco vac t50 pro Omni is $600 n does matter n has mop n vac but I dint like the navigation so went back to robo rock qrevo s5a But robo rock is more $. Bout $850 You get what you pay for
r/HomeKit • Top robot vacuum? Unsure if I want mop capabilities. Must be HomeKit/matter compatible. ->Why are robot vacuum model names so confusing? Anyway, I bought the Roborock Q Revo L (Australian model I think?) in the last Amazon sale and it's been lovely. The spinning mop heads actually work better than I expected - they obviously won't pick up everything like stubborn stains but they do a 90% job every time. I have the one with the auto emptying dustbin, auto refilling and auto emptying water tanks, auto mop washing, and it's great - probably the best money I've spent all year. It does tend to get pretty dirty though, and the area where it washes and dries the mops tends to get a bit gunky and needs a good scrub pretty much weekly. Disclaimer: I've never owned a robot vacuum before this, so I could just be wowed by the whole thing in general rather than the specifics of this particular model
r/RobotVacuums • Robot Mop - Costco Black Friday ->I found the obstacle avoidance on the Qrevo series to be pretty disappointing. Switched to Dreame L40 and have been very happy. They almost never grab a cord.
r/homeassistant • What are the best robot vacuums right now ->Just got the same one too. Mops at 70c and cleans and dries them after so no soggy mop smells. Great bit of kit
r/RobotVacuums • Please help! Need advice about robot vacuum + mop ->Roborock Qrevo CurvX. Had the Edge S5A for a few weeks I got from Prime day sale, but felt like I should’ve went with one with better threshold clearance and obstacle avoidance. Also getting 10% off on top of the sale price makes it seem perfect for price and features.
r/RobotVacuums • What robot vacuum are you getting? ->I've had a number of dreams, all gone back. I have a Rrock Curv. V good vac performance hopeless obstacle avoidance - eg cables just runs right over. I also have E28. See my quick review. App less polished, obstacle avoidance v good. Mopping on all - one has to have realistic expectations
r/RobotVacuums • A week of research and I'm undecided. First robovac, under $1000 ->Don't get a MOVA. Subpar hardware. Between the Curv and Curvx, I'd favor the x for the upgrades. [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nzbtex/big\_deal\_day\_recommendations\_by\_price\_band\_these/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nzbtex/big_deal_day_recommendations_by_price_band_these/)
r/RobotVacuums • Help me pick a robot vacuum .Roborock Curv, curx or MOVA v50 -># [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the [K10+ Pro](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. I, personally, do not enjoy Eufy models, and on the whole, [did not enjoy the E20](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufys-e20-robot-vacuum-ces-2025). I thought it was clunky and not particularly great at any of the 3 things it was trying to do, but people in this sub LOVE Eufy, so at this price point, if you're so determined, this is the one I'd get. In a similar vein, if you love Roborock, a brand I usually recommend highly, I usually think you should grab the most expensive one you can afford (with some exceptions). In this case, its the Q10 X5+, which is the least expensive RR model with auto empty. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1VV8DEM3PE45Q?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_ZETGMH20VCWTGQZB8K55)|399.99|199.99|50%| |[3i G10+ (Extra 5% off code: G10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/FVNUE2WZGPL6?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_2)|449.99|229.99|49%| |[eufy Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20](https://amzn.to/4oi284o)|449.99|297.49|34%| |[Roborock Q10 X5+](https://amzn.to/4pDZjfb)|499.99|299.99|40%| # [Under $500](https://amzn.to/4o4MPMA) *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* The [Eureka J15 Ultra](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eurekas-j15-pro-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review) is better than it should be. I loved the sweeper design, it moved debris off hard floors and carpet very effectively and would be my pick for carpet. Rarely got stuck on anything or reported errors, and it was just really reliable. I recommended this model during Prime Day, and got a lot of good feedback from folks who picked it up. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L40 Ultra is a great deal at half off, and I thought it did a great job getting into spaces, but wasn't great at mapping originally when[ I tested it](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-l40-ultra-robot-vacuum-review). But it was a damn good vacuum, and a pretttty ok mop. if you find that take disappointing, at this price point, you're still asking a lot of a robot, so set expectations appropriately. I mention the Ecovacs T30S for the same reason as the Eufy 3-in-1. Altho I found it a bit of a pain to put away attachments each time you wanted to use the handheld, I can see the advantage of having a combo unit instead of separate stick and robot. And, [in my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-t30s-combo-review), I did think both did a relatively good job, and the sale on this unit is hard to ignore. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* Get the X10 Pro Omni. it was the first Eufy in a while [I didn't hate](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-x10-pro-omni-review), it was actually pretty decent. Its a lot more decent at this price point. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* I liked the Qrevo line, altho I prefer the S8/Saros line for their mops. While the tech feels a little outdated to me, the S5V has a few little upgrades to the suction and the roller design that make it worthwhile at this price. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Eureka J15 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1E209CQWY09EI?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_6)|699.99|489.99|30%| |[Dreame L40 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1I876TQNP7R2I?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_4)|849.99|419.99|50%| |[Ecovacs T30S COMBO](https://amzn.to/4pxNCqa)|1199.99|449.99|63%| |[Roborock Qrevo S5V](https://amzn.to/48CuYYw)|899.99|499.99|44%| |[eufy X10 Pro Omni, black](https://amzn.to/4pTFKAp)|899.99|499.99|44%| # [Under $750](https://amzn.to/4nypaUV) At this price point, you are going to get some previous flagship, high end models that its reasonable to have high expectations of. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* the 3i P10 Ultra. For a machine that does everything this does, as well as it does? This is the actual steal at this price point. It feels like a new brand, but its not, remember 3i has been making everyone else's robots for years. I'm so impressed w this model line, and I'm not the only one. Google around. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* As a flagship, I thought the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni [could do better](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-x9-pro-omni-review) with large debris, but overall, was still impressed. What sticks out to me is how good looking it was. But with the price dropped to $700, I'm comfortable recommending it. The extending roller mop was my first to try, and I thought it did a good job as it reached to the wall and under toekicks. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* I guess the S1 Pro? People in this sub love this model, [I did not](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-omni-s1-pro-robot-vacuum-review), but it wasn't the worst. ::shrug:: *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* This time last year, I thought the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra was the [best unit on the market](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-review). A year changes a lot, because there have been so many advancements, but do not mistake that this is still a spectacular vacuum. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[3i P10 Ultra (Extra 5% off code: P10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/266IAZ1CMQ9SB?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_1)|1099.9|650|59%| |[eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro, Black](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1KPAGDZB7O3NR?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_B8MRYW3W9PVQCC6T59VF)|1499.99|699.99|53%| |[Ecovacs X9 PRO OMNI](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/2I911B3GQ74BQ?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_4)|1299.99|699.99|46%| |[roborock S8 MaxV Ultra](https://amzn.to/43QFGrG)|1899.99|749.99|58%| # [Under $900](https://amzn.to/4oad9oS) *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* I talk about it so much that people here think I'm a paid shill (I'm not) but my dream machine is the [3i S10 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/30BOBXMFSK3WK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G). It has the largest sweeps I've seen, and eats the biggest debris I've seen in a robot, all without getting clogged. It's the best roller mop I've tried (I tried the narwal and the dreame). And.... it has onboard sanitizing and makes its own water so you never have to change out the dirty water or refill it. [Here was my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/3i-s10-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review). Now, that's the good stuff. It also weighs like 50 lbs. It looks like an exhibit at a kids science museum. Some people on here have said it smells mildewy (I haven't experienced that but it makes sense, it IS a dehumidifier, that's how it makes water). You can search for people's impressions and other reviews besides mine, but that's my #1 recco. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L50 Ultra has a noticeable discount, and has many of the charms [I admired in the X50](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-x50-ultra-robot-vacuum-review), like some threshold climbing, some major suction, and hot water cleaning. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* In this price bracket are both the Roborock Slim, the Qrevo and the CurvX. Here's why I ultimately say, go with the CurvX. With the retracting LIDAR, you're still getting a pretty slim robot (though, of course, not AS slim as the Slim), and for $50 more the Curv/Slim, get the CurvX, which has more suction, hot water washing, etc |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame L50 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1H34OZE61D1JV?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_3)|1399.99|849.99|39%| |[Roborock Qrevo CurvX](https://amzn.to/48d8bm9)|1499.99|849.99|43%| |[3i S10 Ultra (Extra 5% off code: S10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/30BOBXMFSK3WK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G)|1299.9|899.99|31%| # [Over $900](https://amzn.to/48OKBMY) This is where all the heavy hitters fell. My friend K says that the reason I'm trustworthy is that I'm always telling him to not buy things. So let me start here with what I'm NOT recommending, because you'll ask. I know everyone is excited about the Dreame Aqua and the Narwal Flow, but I think there are better roller mops out there, and I didn't feel either was significantly better than similarly priced non roller mops (the 3i S10). I really didn't love the Aqua, it leaked. The Flow was better. But not better than my picks in this category. The Saros Z70 is a fantastical concept I got super excited about, but wasn't great in practice. I haven't tested the X11, so that's my only reason I'm not recommending it. So what I DO recommend: The two models below are both excellent vacuums, mops and all around robots. They are highly comparable and while you could make yourself crazy comparing, stop. You'll be delighted with EITHER. I promise. These are great sale prices. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame X50 ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1H34OZE61D1JV?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_1)|1699.99|999.99|41%| |[Roborock Saros 10R](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/3QN77VNVN022D?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_3GVYP91HJC73QH3A2XK1)|1599.99|999.99|34%| If you're looking for ALL the models on sale for Black Friday, they're [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1p2d4qy). I have a curv and just ordered the curvx from the roborock store because I get a military discount on top of the current discount. The curv has been the best robot I've ever had and I expect the curvx to be even better. The x is currently on sale for $899.99 through the 8th. I'm going to run two robots just because I can. ?? Really though I'm trying to reduce cleaning times and wear level the machines. IMHO the Roborock app is the best one hands down. FYI Roborock uses brushless motors too. Yesterday I had my first tangle on the main brush when a piece of sewing thread wrapped around the end of the brush at the mounting point forcing me to manually untangle it. Otherwise things go to the center of the brushes and get sucked up which is what the gap is for. I also had to send it in for repair and it took 2 weeks to get it back. They did a great job fixing it and even gave me new mop pads and mounts. I tried the dreame x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller both of which were a great disappointment. The x50 died on the dock on its 2nd day and the roller errored out stalling in place near or on dark colored mats and rugs, couldn't navigate around the dining room, wouldn't obey the schedule, bumbled around instead of confidently navigating around the house and used too much water washing the mop. The app is also not very good. The mova line is a cheapened down version of the dreame models. Both lines have an issue with draining the battery and you can google that for yourself. There are many places you can go to read reviews and see tests. Vacuum Wars is a great resource and I like Just A Dad because he shows you the robots from a personal perspective but don't just look at one reviewer because there are many sources that are biased towards a particular brand. Vacuum Nerds also provide useful information. Personally I'm waiting on those Roborock robotic lawn mowers that are supposed to come to market early next year.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →Check out the Roborock Qrevo Curvx. I’ve had it for a week now and it’s perfect. It does exactly what you are looking for.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →X50 ultra died on the dock on day 2 but when it was working the battery drained fast and navigation was sporadic. Sent it back and got an aqua10 ultra roller that would error out when approaching dark colored rugs and mats stalling forcing a person to physically rescue it. Mop cover generated random errors which would stall it out and again someone would have to go rescue it. It also suffered from rapid battery drain like the x50. Unit could not navigate in the dining room using its own lighting and had poor navigation around the house overall. Used more water cleaning the mop than actually cleaning the floor. Tech support was less than helpful so back it went. My Roborock 2024 Qrevo Curv has been the best robot I've ever had. Navigation is great and it is consistent day in and day out. Its even better than the upgraded model I have the curvx.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I have a curv and a curvx both of which mop on a daily basis and I think they do a better job than the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller I had before because they will get up against the wall and go under furniture, cabinet overhangs and the dinette set in the kitchen without losing their way. Their docks have a dirt sensor that will send them back out if the water is too dirty after mopping.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I've never had an L40 so I cannot comment on it. I did have a X50 ultra and an aqua10 ultra roller both of which were terrible machines and is how I ended up buying a curvx.

r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I just bought the Roborock Qrevo CurvX...hardwood floors....I could not be happier. even my wife is impressed and shes a neat freak
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →It picks up hair very well (I have 4 cats and 2 daughters with long hair and so do I) and it doesn’t tangle around the brush, which is a BIG pro for me. It pulls up the mops when there’s a carpet and it vacuums it very well. I still have to try one carpet that always attracts lots of fluffy white cat hair though, I’ll let you know how it handles that.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →That duo divide is just awesome and worth the upgrade!
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →Have you taken the time to research any of this for yourself? We can recommend anything but ultimately you are the one paying for it so you don't want to be misled by anyone. Just A Dad, Vacuum Nerds and Vacuum Wars are great resources to help you with your search where you can observe the different models in action to help you decide how their performance aligns with your expectations. I've had robots from all 3 brands and Roborock has been the best hands down. I currently run a qrevo curv and a curvx and they have been the best robots I've ever owned.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I’m facing the same problem… And the CurveX scores better than the 10R at Vacuum Wars which seems weird to me as the 10R seems to be the flagship.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I think most people in this subreddit would agree that the key things in a robot vacuum are solid hard-floor cleaning, reliable pet-hair pickup, and predictable navigation. In my experience, the Roborock CurvX and Dreame L40 Ultra handle edges, thresholds, and obstacles well and don’t need much babysitting. For multi-floor or pet homes, they’re just much less frustrating day-to-day than most other models. for someone with more specific needs, [this comparison table](https://technoranks.com/compare-products/?compareids=2392,1907) might help.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Yes, absolutely! I have a self emptying, self cleaning robot mop and vacuum from Roborock and it is SO worth it IMO. I’ve had cheap, middle range and expensive and the only one I use is the one that self cleans etc. It is worth it, I think.
r/Frugal • View on Reddit →Its a proven fact that some of the best cleaning robots do not possess the highest pa ratings. My 2024 curv has 18.5k and my curvx has 22k and both do very well with particle pickup. I had a Dreame aqua10 ultra roller with 30k and it couldn't do as well as they do.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I chose the curvx over the 10r because the top mounted lidar does a better job of navigating.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I've had a Roborock Qrevo Curv for over a year and its been a great robot. In fact its the best robot vacuum/mop I've ever owned. It follows the schedule and doesn't have issues navigating the house, especially the dining room which has tripped up every Dreame robot I've tried (x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller). I had to send the curv in for a wheel issue and the side brush stopped turning and they turned it around in two weeks. I've since added a curvx so I can use two robots for daily cleaning but its only 2 weeks old now and too new to give an accurate report on its performance. I bought both directly from the roborock store as I can get an extended factory warranty along with a military discount.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I just added the Qrevo CurvX and couldnt be happier with its performance. I have hardwood on the 1st floor, a lab that sheds like crazy and even my wife is impressed with its mopping ability. Adding 2 more for the other floors. The App can be a little clunky in setting up, but I also blew the intro, and made 0 effort to search for help and just tried to figure it out on my own
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I'm not sure what is actively considered a top vacuum but something I've learned the hard way is to make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. It's frustrating.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →The best robots I've had so far are the Roborock Qrevo Curv and Qrevo Curvx that I use on a daily basis. Roborock is just consistently good and they are my default brand now. The curvx got off to a rough start that required a reset and two remaps but it finally got it together. I had a Dreame X50 Ultra that died on day two and a Aqua10 Ultra Roller that was beyond terrible with tons of issues and their support was horrid so I won't be inclined to try them again. I had a eufy x10 omni pro and it was okay until it wasn't and right after that I tried a Samsung Bespoke jet bot ai and it went crazy on its first cleaning run and died in the hallway. I also had a shark matrix and it was okay until it went crazy spinning against the couch in the living room.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I don’t know anything about the curv or Mova, but I’ve had the Curvx for two weeks now and I’m SO happy with it! It can handle pet hair, our own hair and it doesn’t get stuck in the brush like it did with my old robot vacuums (my two daughters and me all have long hair), carpets and the mopping is really good. There’s even a lot less dust and hair in other places now that I use it almost every day. There’s not even one negative thing that I can think about. It does its job while we are sleeping and I have lots more time for other things. I have to say I don’t have any thick carpets though… so maybe someone else can tell you something about that.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →In my experience Roborock is the more reliable brand. Recently I've had a Dreame x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller and they had terrible performance, the x50 died on day 2 and the aqua couldn't even navigate my dining room or follow the schedule among other things. Dark colored rugs and mats trip up the Dreame sensors causing them to error. Battery life is an issue on the newest brushless Dreame models. Do you have any thresholds that the robot would be required to cross? Most robots can cross from hard flooring to carpet and back without issue. Thresholds that are taller than 1" can trip them up if they don't have the ability to lift their chassis. Tiered thresholds can only be crossed by this type of robot. If you have ramps only the Dreame app will let you mark it on the map. I've seen people create a ramp in the Roborock app by setting invisible barriers to create a path to it. IMHO the Roborock app is miles ahead of everyone else even though it lacks ramps and the ability to rotate the map. Currently I have a qrevo curv and qrevo curvx and they are the best robots I've ever had. I run them daily splitting the house between them. Research whatever model you decide to get so you understand the maintenance required for it. Good luck with whichever one you choose.

r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Roborock Q Revo series. Punches way above midrange pricing. We love our Q Revo Slim.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I've had two bad robots from Dreame back to back, x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller, so I would lean towards the edge with its larger tanks since you don't have any carpets. Personally I run a 2024 curv and a 2025 curvx and they are great robots but for a single mopping robot tank size matters.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →I'm on my second roborock, a Qrevo C. Had an S5 Max with a battery that wasn't holding charge well. It is over 3 years old. My first robot was an Ecovacs. Had pretty much constant errors, when I picked it up to clean sensors it wanted to remap again. I sent it for service, got it back 2 weeks later and it was worse. Got one minute off the dock, complained of dirty sensors, picked it up to clean it, started remapping again. I returned it, was only 4 months old. Just junk! Been with roborock since and the model I have now is amazing. I'll never change. Their app is far superior to what I had with Ecovacs, especially for map editing. I can't comment on the Dreame.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →We have 2 labradors, and I cannot even describe the amount of hair they shed. Our main vacuum is a Dyson, and we recently purchased a Roborock Q Revo Curv, which we are extremely pleased with. It replaced a much older Roborock model that had hair all over its internal parts, despite some maintenance. From our experience, you will still need to use the regular / more powerful vacuum, but the Roborock will do a great job. And the rotating mops do a very decent job, especially compared to the old model's mop (static pad dragged across the floor), but I recommend you properly clean it regularly so as little hair gets inside its components. As for the accidents, I see these newer models have all sorts of AI detection abilities that can prevent running over dog poop, but I never had the "pleasure" of going through this experience.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I considered a 10r but top mounted lidar still does a better job of navigating which is why I bought the curvx. It has the same low profile when the lidar retracts plus its lidar still operates in the retracted state not to mention it also has an upward facing sensor to see while its underneath furniture. There are plenty of videos showing how the arm on the z70 is more of a novelty than a functional feature plus it takes up space that takes away from the dust bin.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →# [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. I promise. At the moment it does everything I want from it, only thing I'd like is a bit better obstacle avoidance, specifically not climbing on furniture.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I don't think they would go wrong with either one. I opted for the curvx over the 10r as I'm going back to two units so it will split cleaning duties with my 2024 curv. The x has a retractable turret making it just as short as the 10r plus it has a up facing sensor for the times its operating underneath furniture in addition to the lidar being able to see out the back while retracted.
r/Roborock • View on Reddit →I had one for a week and it was terrible. It wouldn't follow the schedule, navigated poorly especially when it had to use its own light and kept stalling on or near dark colors generating an error forcing someone to physically rescue it. It could never navigate my dining room and would get confused underneath the table/chairs and would leave the room without barely cleaning anything. Mine also used more water washing the mop than it did actually cleaning the floor not to mention the poor battery life. I contacted tech support and they were not very helpful so I sent it back. Two weeks earlier I had a x50 ultra and it died on the dock on day two so it went back. Earlier this week when Roborock put their curvx on sale I grabbed one and don't regret it. I also have the 2024 curv and run two bots splitting the house. Both of them do everything very well. My biggest complaint with their app is that I cannot rotate the map which I've hit up tech support about and they said they'd pass it along to their app team. As you can see the obvious with its performance the question is are you willing to pay for a machine that performs like that. I really wanted it to work but realized that what I had was all that I was going to have. Best of luck to everyone who has one.

r/homeassistant • View on Reddit →I \_just\_ moved from Roomba (i7+) to Roborock (Qrevo CurvX) a couple weeks ago and still have two i7+'s running (or trying to run) on the other levels of my home. In almost every way, the Roborock makes the Roomba feel like it's a hundred years old. In other ways, likely related to stupid patents, the Roomba is better. \* The Roomba empties the bin whenever it's full. Gotta play settings games in Roborock and hope it gets it right. \* The roomba will back up and re-vacuum and area where it detects more dirt. This will also be reflected in the map after a run, which matters not at all except to give you a sense of "yeah, I did see a mess there. So it's working." \* I can save "zones" to clean in rather than set them up every time or make them part of a routine. This is such an oversight that I have to believe it's also patent-related.

r/Roborock • View on Reddit →Our Roborock Qrevo vacuum/mop is still going strong after years and the pet hair don't faze it at all. I only ever heard bad things about iRobot and Shark
r/CleaningTips • View on Reddit →I would recommend the qrevo edge for its large tanks as its a curv with a different dock. I just went through two dreame flagships, x50 ultra and aqua10 ultra roller and they were hot garbage. Poor navigation, poor battery life, cheap construction and poor support are just some of the issues I faced while having them. Dark colors make them error out and low light conditions will cause navigation issues. I currently have a 2024 qrevo curv and 2025 qrevo curvx as I run two robots to clean the house every day on a 3 schedule cycle each. Roborock's app is the best and the Dreame app is buggy and laggy to use. Duo divide brushes will not tangle, the dreame double roller will tangle and it doesn't pick up as well as normal vacuums even with a higher pa rating. Just a dad, vacuum wars and vacuum nerds offer lots of videos for you to compare different models. No robot is perfect but Roborock is like the Toyota of robot vacuums.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →Totally. Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that.
r/RobotVacuums • View on Reddit →If your water usage is referring to the CurvX’s review on VaccumWars, they have since added this: >**Vacuum Wars Scoring Changes and Updated Ranking** >However, after additional testing both in the studio and in a home with dark flooring that normally shows streaks easily, we did not see streaking from the Qrevo CurvX, even after multiple runs. In practice, its mopping performance was quite good, and the higher-than-average water usage did not translate into the problems we initially expected. As a result, we no longer see its water output as a severe drawback at the levels we measured.

I was really impressed by the amount of new features which can be found in these robo Vacuums now. I believe the added cost for the high end models are worth it… as they have functions that lower cost models will not.
