I just got mine out of the box today. I used it right away despite it not being fully charged, which was to be expected. It vacuumed and mapped my 2 bdrm condo in about 1.5 hours. I then fully charged it and had it vacuum my living room area rug. It finished with only 53% charge left. I am now charging it again. I will say, I am surprised with how quiet it is as I was expecting it to be much louder. I am less than impressed with its vacuuming prowess so far, however. It does well enough on my hardwood, which thankfully is the majority of flooring. Definitely not so good on low pile area rugs though. It’s brand new, so there shouldn’t be any issues with it being clogged already. I was hoping to be able to test out its mopping capabilities tonight, but this is taking a lot longer than initially expected. Not too big of a deal if I’m at work and it’s capable of chugging away in the meantime, but that all remains to be seen yet. I should add that it is more than capable of making it over the “lips” between bedroom floor and hallway. It also made it over the raised trim around my fireplace, so points for that.

Also, the accessories are pretty amazing. I found the hidden mop pads under the 3 extra bags included too lol. All in, there are 12 extra and 2 on the machine. 3 extra bags and 1 in the stand. I am a bit worried about replacing the amazing cleaning and pet solutions though. Does anyone else know where to get these online because I couldn’t find any before I bought the V50? Maybe I was looking as they were switching products though? Would be disappointed if I couldn’t replace those in the future is all.

We just bought the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete last week (US version) and have been blown away by how well it has worked. We have 6 people and 4 dogs in the home and have it run a full cycle each night and has nearly eliminated all need to vacuum and mop at this point.

A little late for this but I would go with the V50. Any model can have problems. I haven't tried the curvx but I tried 3 regular curvs and had to send them back. They dragged the mops when going back to the base.  I haven't seen a lot of people mention that so maybe I was unlucky, 3 times in a row.  The vacuum performance wasn't great either. I always vacuum before mop and there would be lots of pet hair in the base after mopping.  I have the p50 and love it. Got it on sale for 799. I did have to send the first one back due to water pump issues, started in less than a week,  but the one I have now has been going 2 months with no problem. Hardly, if any hair in the base after mopping. And my dust bag was full the first month. We have 3 highly shedding dogs and the roborock qrevo master does well but evidently the p50 does better. The roborock bag wouldn't be full the first month like this.  And I have generic bags that work that are a lot less so it won't get so expensive  to change. I have had no front wheel problem at all. Every manufacture can have problems. But if you need to deal with the warranty every time I have emailed Mova with a question or when the water pump went bad, they got back to me the same day almost every time but always within 24hrs. And not during the middle of the night like Roborock then you have to wait until the next night to email you back. Roborock was never a problem with me for warranty work it's just the process takes a while due to the response email coming in the middle of the night. Sorry so long but hope this helps.

To me personally it doesn't matter how much battery life is left at the end of it's job. It finished the job so that's fine. To test the resume cleaning I set the robot to max+ double pass on about 1000sq home knowing it would eat the battery. It went to recharge to resume and in about an hr it resumed and finished the job. It doesn't matter to me how long it takes for the job. I got it so I could be busy with something else and that's what I do.  But again, that's me. Different people have different expectations.

Awesome review! I'll add my quick two cents as well since I have also had both the E28 and now the V50 for about a week * I totally agree about your roller vs spinning mop assessment. I actually have found the V50 to mop significantly better in my house than the E28. My kitchen often has flour caked on the floor (messy partner). The E28 would leave big splotches of it every time, even when I had it mop the room twice. The V50 got it all in one go the first time. I also absolutely hate cleaning the E28's dirty water tank and roller, which you absolutely have to do weekly if you mop regularly because it gets very nasty. I really think now that roller mops are a gimmick that provides no advantage in normal household use * I found the E28's overall navigation to be better in some awkward rooms with a lot of furniture, but the V50 I found gets closer to edges much better * Object avoidance seems much better on the V50 so far. It has detected a lot more things than the E28 ever did in my house. One example, I have a rubber mat with small raised edges that I set cat food and water on. The E28 would want to steamroll over it every time and would get caught and spill the water dish, I had to add a no go zone. The V50 avoided it without issue first try. * I'm struggling to get the V50 to go under my bed, which it absolutely can fit if it lowers the lidar and is well within the advertised height. My testing on this so far has actually been concerning, it literally smacks its lidar on the bottom of the bedframe and won't go under, and I'm a bit worried it might damage itself. I know it can lower the lidar since it does it under my dressers, so still tinkering with settings to figure the bed issue out * I think Mova and Dreame has an issue with its wheels on models that can raise themselves. I was super impressed during its first run just how quiet it was, but after it lifted itself over a threshold the first time it now sounds like it's rattling on hardwood floors. I've heard similar stories from Mova and Dreame owners so I'm wondering if this is just to be expected. I'm going to open a support ticket for this

>The flagship Mova V50 Ultra features \[...\] a MopSwap Hub in the base station, which houses three types of mop pads in a carousel that the robot can automatically equip. The mop pads specialize in tile floors, hardwood, and general cleaning.  >A retractable track-type mop can extend to clean corners and edges along carpets, a technology Mova calls RoboSwing FlexTrack. When the robot is near hard-to-reach spots, like a corner, the mop extends to clean them and then retracts to continue general mopping. The V50 Ultra also features an extendable side brush to direct dust and debris from corners towards the nozzle. This flagship robot vacuum can also tackle up to 2.3-inch (5.8-5.9cm) high thresholds.  >The Mova Z50 Ultra features warm water mopping up to 36ºC to tackle stubborn stains on hard floors and an AI-powered cleaning strategy to detect varying dirt levels. This robot vacuum and mop can even fluff its mop pads in real time to maintain cleaning efficiency. The best self cleaning models can also clean the base station’s mop washboard and the vacuum’s filter. I’d recommend these ones which can do this: Currently the best at self cleaning: the MOVA V50 Ultra can dry it’s dustbin and dustbag to prevent mildew unlike the other choices which brings it above the other robots Almost there: Dreame L/X50 Ultra, L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra In the middle: MOVA P50 Pro Ultra Pretty okay at self cleaning: MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, Dreame L/X40, roborock models with the motorized scrapers, Narwal models with an all in one base station.

Narwal flow’s release seems to have been delayed due to faults discovered by beta testers. I’d recommend waiting for the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track if you want to wait. Below is a comparison photo testing how the Narwal Flow (top panels) compares with the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track (bottom panels) when cleaning carpet with the optimal carpet settings turned on (cleaning twice in a checkerboard pattern and Narwal flow’s pressurized cleaning head being activated). Dreame’s track type roller mop (which was fine tuned over time with MOVA’s G20, G30, and the Z50 Ultra) also seems to be the leading solution since it can exert 18N of pressure when mopping (the most exerted by a roller mop robot and MOVA Z50 Ultra does the same) and can mop with warm water thanks to an onboard water heater heating it up to 45°C (Narwal’s 36°C claim is from the warm water filled at the station). https://preview.redd.it/ej07u60mjk5f1.jpeg?width=1436&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d20f83c2d8b38f54734ef4980fa94c1ff31bde87 Since you live in a home that is rather dusty, I’d check out the dreame L40S Ultra, L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the MOVA V50 Ultra for the filter self cleaning function when autoemptying. Due to size constraints and the addition of a track type roller mop, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track uses a different autoempty system and lacks the filter self cleaning function. If there’s a threshold higher than 3cm, I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra, Dreame X50 Ultra, and the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track. If choosing between the MOVA V50 Ultra and the Dreame X50 Ultra, the MOVA V50 Ultra is the better flagship for near-identical models as the vacuuming performance was improved over the x50 Ultra and has the duosolution detergent tank which is well suited for homes needing odors to neutralize since there’s another tank for odor neutralizing detergent. The fact that it can dry the dustbin and dustbag is also a plus for mildew control. The mopping has been improved with tilting mop pads (up to 5°) to automatically adjust to the floor level and can spin up to 260RPM over the X50’s maximum of 180RPM if it detects a liquid or dried on mess. If you want a roller mop robot right now, the eufy E25/E28 or the MOVA Z50 Ultra is a good choice. The MOVA Z50 Ultra will mop more thoroughly though and will know when to clean its mops better with the onboard turbidity sensor facing the mop. If you want to compare the MOVA Z50 Ultra to the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track should be slightly better for raw mopping performance (only difference is warmer water when mopping), better edge cleaning with an extendable mop (still not as good as spinning mops which is common for roller mop robots with an extending mop), better at antitangling with the double anti tangle brushes (both models’ mop scrapers are comb shaped to help with any potential tangles and I haven’t seen this on roller mop robots from other brands), much better self cleaning (100°C mop cleaning with a PTC plate, dustbin and dustbag drying, and the duosolution tank), better vacuuming, much better obstacle avoidance from the binocular RGB cameras that avoids obstacles without needing to backtrack like all other Dreame and MOVA models and it seems Dreame’s obstacle avoidance is now on par with the Narwal Freo z based on Chinese KOL reviews, and much better obstacle climbing with the ProLeap system .

I wasn't talking about when the wheels were being extended, I just mentioned I only noticed it after it used the raise feature the first time. It sounds like there's a wheel off balance, or out of sync, or something. Going to troubleshoot some more to see if something's caught in a wheel somewhere.

How tall is the piece of transition? For a single one up to 30mm, the roborock models with the AdaptiLift chassis (the most expensive QRevo Curv/Edge and the Saros line). Anything higher up to 4.2cm, if a threshold is less than 9cm long (5.2cm if it is at least 9cm long), will need the Dreame X50 Ultra or any equivalent MOVA model (V50 Ultra). I am aware that Dreame's L/X50 Ultra and any model (such as MOVA's V50 Ultra or the rare UK-only Dreame L40s Pro Ultra) that uses dual conical brushes has a *live fur compression* feature (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOU0uJsVdU), which helps mitigate the issue of pet fur clogging the dustbin, even though the space isn't fully utilized. I saw it in action, and I think it lives up to its claim. It also cleans its filter when auto-emptying. This should be helpful for homes with heavy shedders such as yours\~ For paw prints, I think a robot that can identify messes like this and act accordingly would be important too. Dreame and Narwal do well with this if you turn on certain functions, such as their smart cleaning mode and intelligent mess detection.

I bought a saros 10r and a mova V50 ultra complete on prime day to upgrade from a s7. I kept seeing review after review of how the saros just didn't do a good job vacuuming. The saros also ended up being 330 dollars more than thr mova during prime day. Adding a 3 year warranty to the saros (mova comes with a standard 3 year) cost another 129 and the mova came with an additional $200 dollars worth of accessories. I couldn't justify the price difference and sent the saros 10r back. So far we are very happy with the mova.

Eufy is not mentioned because it does not have this capability. Best mopping: Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra has the best raw mopping performance. If your pets are stinky, the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track or the MOVA V50 Ultra will be my recommendation as it has the duosolution detergent tank which means it can use a special odor neutralizing solution or your regular floor cleaning solution based on your preferences set in the app. The MOVA V50 Ultra does mop better than the Dreame X50 Ultra because it can spin its mops up to 260rpm when it detects dried on stains and liquids and because it has a new mop pad holder that basically has suspension as it can go up 2mm and down 1mm downwards and tilt up to 5° to put as even pressure as possible on uneven floors. Honorable mention: Narwal Freo Z Ultra. Shame it cannot lift its side brushes. Variable mopping pressure of 8-12N but pales in comparison to the 18N of mopping pressure by the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra. Best software for detecting liquids and appropriately dealing with them: Dreame L/X40 and newer including the Aqua 10 pro track based on reviews. The MOVA Z50 ultra and the other MOVA models mentioned are also pretty good too at detecting liquids. Previously mentioned Roborock and Narwal models also seem to do well. I think all the models I mentioned should be on par for automatic remopping. Hardware: All models I mentioned should have a solid build quality.

Models with conical anti-tangling brushes + live fur compression that works will be what I'll prioritize in a robot. Since your dogs shed a lot, I recommend the Dreame X50 Ultra or the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete, depending on which one is available. If both are available, I'd choose the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete for the DuoSolution tank, which allows you to add a regular floor mopping detergent and a pet odor-focused detergent for deeper cleaning to eliminate dog smells. Both models have live hair compression in the dustbin when it vacuums to best utilize the space and means the dustbin won't be functionally clogged from the inlet to the filter area but with space to spare on the sides (this has happened several times to my robot vacuum and I only have one corgi) and this has been proven to work.

Bigger dustbin + good use of dustbin when it comes to fur (no empty space should be in the dustbin when fur clogs it) + frequent autoemptying = better for dealing with hair and fur. For a vacuum only model, the roborock Q5 Max+ and the Q8 Max+ have a sizeable dustbin and uses the dustbin space well and has an autoempty station. The dual rollers help with fur pickup. In the US Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra fulfills these requirements as a combo model. So does the MOVA V50 Ultra for Canadian customers. The QRevo series has the same issue with some dreame models where the dustbin will be clogged with fur but there’ll be a lot of empty space on the sides. It’ll be good for picking up fur on carpets with its dual brushes but I think the eufy X8 should be better for dealing with finer dust.

As for hair pickup on carpet, I think the Dreame dual brushes generally do better picking up hair on carpet than the Dreame/MOVA TriCut brush on the P50 Pro ultra. Dreame/Eufy/MOVA/Roborock’s antitangle brushes that don’t need to cut the fur should all do equally well picking up fur and hair on carpets and hard floors. I’d recommend a robot that removes its mops for carpet as I find that lifted mops on carpets generally drag on it, collecting fur and dirt while negatively affect cleaning performance. As for mopping, ecovacs’ X8 isn’t really worth looking at given the other models already available (not in the US yet) that mop much better than it. Eufy’s E25/E28 should do better as a roller mop robot. For the spinning mop robots, MOVA’s V50 Ultra and the roborock flagships should be pretty evenly matched. X50 ultra doesn’t put enough water even at the max level which isn’t great for dried on stains.

I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra https://ca.mova.tech/products/mova-v50-ultra-complete-robot-vacuum and will recommend it over the dreame X50 Ultra especially if your floors need better mopping, you want to neutralize pet odors, and it has better vacuuming than the X50 Ultra. This is a very hands off robot as it cleans the filter, the mops, and the base station for you. It’ll dry the dustbin, dustbag, and mops to prevent mildew from growing.

Roomba isn't the best at combo robots compared to Roborock and Dreame which make better all-rounded combos. Roborock seems to be rather reliable. I'd also consider MOVA's V50 Ultra which is better suited for pet households since there's the ability for the robot to choose between regular cleaning solution and a pet-odor neutralization solution! I consider the V50 Ultra to be an upgrade over the X50 Ultra. Alternatively, I'd wait for Dreame's Aqua 10 Pro Track to release, as it appears to be the best overall combination robot vacuum and mop with a roller mop. :)

Great review! I'll add some of my thoughts too since I've also been using the E28 for a bit now. \- Completely agree about obstacle avoidance, I've found it to be the best in the business (I've owned Roombas, Roborocks, Movas, and this E28) Navigation is also excellent, efficiency is not quite as good as my Roborock QRevo but much better than my Mova V50 \- Vacuuming performance is excellent on hard floors and low pile carpet and rugs. The rollers work fantastic with hair. I definitely rate it a top tier vacuum among the robots I've had, though note I don't have any high pile carpet. \- Mopping performance is just "fine" to me, having owned multiple spinning style mops (a Roborock QRevo and Mova V50), I found those to be better at dried on stains. It's still a great mop though, and frankly this is just anecdotal. \- I feel like it does not get close enough to walls and furniture feet. \- It doesn't handle thresholds very well. I have a small threshold that's just big enough to typically give other robots problems too. The difference is the others usually figures it out by hitting it at higher speed and an angle after getting stuck. The E28 often just sits there spinning its wheels. I watched it do it for a whole minute once before intervening. \- The noise of the base when emptying is no joke and not over exaggerated. It's really loud. It doesn't really bother me, but it is a thing. \- The portable wet vac is nice to have but it's a bit unwieldy and I don't like that I have to take it off to get to the vacuum bag. It's a bit touchy to get it set on the base properly. It gets the job done for what I wanted it for, but in retrospect I wish I had just got the E25. \- The biggest downside to me is the dirty water tank on the robot and the roller mop maintenance. As a plus, the updated water tank does appear to stop the spilling and drips. However, the tank and roller itself are a complete pain to clean. And you have to clean them regularly, especially the tank as it gets very nasty if you mop regularly.

In Singapore, I’d totally recommend the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track Ultra if you want heated mopping and the vacuuming performance from the MOVA V50 Ultra and the mopping from the MOVA Z50 Ultra.

Isn’t there the MOVA V50 Ultra at 999? It’s even quieter than the Dreame X40 and has a bigger dustbin than the X40 ultra at 395ml and can compress fur in the dustbin as it vacuums, perfect for heavy shedding pet households. I’d recommend this one over the dreame x50 ultra mainly because it’s cheaper and it’s an enhanced version of the x50 ultra.

This is definitely not exclusive on the ecovacs X9 pro omni. Ecovacs is late to this feature. Models that can do this well: Dreame’s L/X40 Ultra and newer (assuming there’s an RGB camera), Narwal Freo Z Ultra; Roborock Saros series and CurvX, MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, P50 Pro Ultra, Z50 Ultra, V50 Ultra

Jamie Andrews did say dreame was working on a very similar robot to the MOVA Z50 Ultra but based on the X50 Ultra so it may come with even better vacuuming with the double brushes with a name that is too long to remember (I’ll shorten it to dualstream). Absolutely hated that arm thing. Gimmick was a waste of R&D funds until it matures into an actual solution that can help the physically disabled and the elderly. I would have preferred a better self cleaning design where they can clean the brushes and side brushes to turn it into nearly maintenance free. The MOVA V50 Ultra is also worth taking a look at. It’s the only combo bot that I am aware of that can change the type of mop pads (3 are in the station) through the MopCarousel system to better suit the floor type. It also comes with some duo solution thing that they claim will neutralize pet odors (I’d love this feature and I think many other pet owners will as well). It’s basically a souped up X50 Ultra.

Price was the deciding factor for me. On prime day the mova was 949 and the saros was 1279. Factor in that I would need a 3 year warranty with the saros which would add another 129 dollars and then the 150 worth of free stuff mova sends you, it just didnt make sense to get the saros

It depends on tall your thresholds are: For single thresholds: Up to 2cm: most modern robots can cross with no difficulty Up to 2.2cm: Dreame L/X40 Ultra. The dreame models with the EasyLeap wheels (L40S Ultra/Pro Ultra and the L50 Ultra) can cross the first threshold up to 2.2cm and a secondary threshold right after up to 1.8cm Up to 3cm: roborock models with the AdaptLift chassis. It can cross a single threshold up to 3cm and a secondary threshold right after up to 1cm. Up to 3.5cm: the MOVA P60 Pro Ultra (mainland china only for now) has active suspension like the roborock Adaptlift chassis and the EasyLeap edge climbing wheels to climb a single threshold up to 3.5cm and a secondary threshold up to 3.5cm. Up to 4.2cm: Dreame X50 Ultra, Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track, and the MOVA V50 Ultra all can cross a single threshold up to 4.2cm if the threshold is shorter than 9-10cm (5.2cm if the threshold is sufficiently long enough) and a secondary threshold up to 1.8cm.

Dreame and MOVA will be much better at avoiding cords than roborock. Both Dreame and roborock will definitely avoid pet puke. I’m not so sure about eufy but their cord avoidance should be alright. For pet fur, I’d prioritize the dreame X50 Ultra or the MOVA V50 Ultra (999 debut price if you sign up to their mailing list) since it has a rather large dustbin at 395mL and has a fur compression feature that works so the dustbin won’t get as easily clogged with fur and also have empty space at the sides (see the attached photo). This seems to be an issue with the dustbin on the dreame/MOVA models using the X40’s dustbin like the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra and the Roborock QRevo models. https://preview.redd.it/7c1epilq82af1.png?width=1346&format=png&auto=webp&s=d15280bdd75310e1d87e2557a9f350b20c85b02d As for fur tangling around the rollers, I wouldn’t worry about this issue for the dreame/eufy/roborock/MOVA models you’ve shown. Do note that any cuts in the rubber flaps on the antitangle brushes will mean the antitangle ability is deactivated and you’d have to change the brushes.

H14 is better for deep cleaning messes and the robot is better for maintaining that cleanliness. Many robots are rather quiet now, especially at the normal suction mode. MOVA’s V50 ultra is the most hands off robot vacuum combo I can think of since it can clean its own filter and the washboard very well like the dreame X50 ultra but also be able to dry the dustbin and the dustbag to prevent any mold from growing in there. It also helps that the debut price should be 999 USD in the US and that both the x50 and the V50 are really quiet when running.

So sorry it’s going to be released June 20th in canada with a discount if you put their email in. I don’t know the retail price though. Other models with the fur compression feature is the Dreame X50 Ultra and the L40S Ultra (no RGB camera).
