I have a Eufy L60. The hair cutting and self emptying system is key, and you can use cheaper bags off amazon with no issues. I run it 3 times a day.

We bought Eufy L60 last year. Didn’t want the mop/water one too as the docking station takes up too much space and is too visible. The L60 sits under a sofa in the large kitchen/family room so no one knows it’s there. After it’s done it’s just a quick spray/wipe with the [Vileda 1/2 Spray Mop](https://www.vileda.co.uk/products/1-2-spray-max?srsltid=AfmBOor1zLe5U0rIHDfexhx80lRy47bYy7ngj1AGbZVLViYryFrP7gtz)

Eufy L60 I would recommend because it's only vacuum not mopping. That way main maintenance is just swapping the bags every month or other month. It can be started and run without the app after its setup the mapping. That's the one I got for my mom. But for multiple floors you need to move base station to change map. There's some vacuum base stations that can be connected to mains so they will drain and fill the water tank automatically if you really want a no maintenance mopping vacuum like the dreame x40 etc.

I just got the Eufy L60 and I’m extremely disappointed. It gives me a roller brush error approximately 5 minutes into every scheduled clean. It’s saying there is hair or debris, I open up the brush and there is very minimal hair. Luckily I’m able to resume the cleaning unlike my old roomba. But might be trying a new vacuum soon

My Eufy L60 has run for 34 hours now, in our household of 4 long haired humans and 1 cat. It self empties but also cuts the hair off its roller by itself. I never see any hair on the floor, and can go a month between deep cleans with the big vacuum. It does have a mop function but you never have to use it. It goes between our hard and carpeted floors with no issues, and can climb over 1 inch heights just fine.

I like my eufy L60, but mine does fall off the WiFi a lot which is a con. But the self emptying is great, the hair cutting is great, and its mapping is thorough.

Eufy may be your best bet. Look at their C10, L60, and E20 models. As a bonus, the E20 converts into a cordless stick vac, in case you need one of those. Another good choice would be the Roborock Q5 Max+, though it tends to be a bit more expensive. Finally, consider getting a robot with a stationary pad mop. I know you said you want just a vacuum, but those are getting more and more rare over time. It's really easy to just slap a Swiffer pad on the back of a robot vacuum, so most manufacturers are doing just that. You don't pay a lot for it (and sometimes pay less!), and it's easy to leave off and pretend it doesn't exist. It also tends to not have a significant effect on vacuuming performance. A lot of options will open up if you expand your search in this way.

So, to be fair about the sale, when I looked up the model number of this one I noticed it said “$600 on sale for $299.99” which is what it said when I bought it over a year ago. Along those lines, I think these are actually their typical prices masqueraded as a sale. So don’t feel a sense of urgency they want you to feel about the sale. But eufy is a very solid company in my experience and the vacuum I got works great. Granted, due to various decluttering endeavors I haven’t used it as frequently as my other robot vacs yet, but it’s by far the best performing one I have used out of the three and the app is excellent. I still can’t believe it empties itself and cuts the roller brush, which really cuts down on maintenance. I’d definitely recommend it and would consider them solid roomba alternatives.

I bought 2 of them. They are pretty decent machines. Only issues were having to ask Eufy support to push the firmware update to prevent the suction dropping off and the 2nd is when you move some furniture ever so slightly and it then starts to get confused thinking all furniture has moved 45° and means you have to remap the floor.

Sort of. There's also the Eufy L50 and L60 models, which are almost the same except for less suction and a lower price for the L50. Also look at the new Roomba 105 and 705, many Shark models, and the Dyson 360 Vis Nav. As always, check reviews; the Roombas in particular haven't reviewed well. What's more common is a vacuum-only robot with a stationary mop pad that's just stuck on the bottom. Technically, it's a combo with mopping, but the mop is just an add-on, and can be ignored. An example of this is the Roborock Q5 Pro and Pro+, which is the Q5 Max and Max+ with a mop tacked on and a few cosmetic changes. Sometimes, the Pro is even cheaper than the Max, which makes the Pro the smart buy. Just throw the mop plate in a drawer or in the trash. Be careful, though, that you're not sacrificing dustbin space for the water tank. The very similar Roborock Q7 M5 does this, while the Pro has the water tank as part of the mop plate. The most notable model that technically supports mopping, but only as an add-on, is the SwitchBot K10+. It comes with little disposable mopping cloths that attach to hooks on the back of the robot. Ignore the cloths, and you have a very good small robot that can get into lots of tight spaces and which has been reviewed to vacuum well.

Two regular recommendations made here: the Roborock Q5 Max+ and the Eufy L60. Both can be had with a self-empty station for less than $400 when on sale.

Since no one's mentioned it, there are two Eufy robovacs that may fit: * L50 and L60, with or without SES (self-empty station). * E20. The L50 and L60 should be easy to find reviews on, as they've been out for a while. The L60 was the Vacuum Wars best budget robot for a while. The L50 is basically a less powerful and cheaper L60. The E20 was shown at CES just this year, isn't available yet, and has no independent reviews that I've seen. Its hook: the vacuum motor can be removed from the robovac and used as a handheld vac, or attached to an included stick attachment and used as a stick floor vacuum. Putting the motor back into the robovac can trigger auto-emptying of your manual vacuuming into the base. None of this takes away from the Roborocks, which have been mentioned a few times. I'm just filling in a few alternatives.

I'll add to the vote for the Roborock Q5 Max, but there are other alternatives: many Shark robots, plus the Eufy L50, L60, C10, and E20 models. A few models put the water tank into the mop plate, and thus do not sacrifice any dustbin space for water storage. An example would be the Roborock Q5 Pro, which is basically the Q5 Max with some cosmetic changes and a mop pad. I've seen the Pro cheaper than the Max, which means you're paying more money just for the privilege of not getting a mop; ditto for the L60 SES vs. Hybrid. So that's something to consider.

Eufy L60 and x10 pro are both awful at not tangling long human hair. I don't have pets, so I can't say how it does with pet hair. I have to clean the main roller and side brush after about every use. Hair is always tangled in the side brush (which requires a screwdriver to fully clean) and the main roller. It picks up a lot of hair off the ground, but none of it ends up in the dustbin.

Seems like a problem with the vacuum/auto empty vs expecting too much. We have 1 dog who sheds like crazy and a toddler and a Eufy S1 Pro that runs upstairs nearly daily (since it's mostly hardwood) and a Eufy L60 with the self empty station that runs downstairs (which is mostly carpet) nearly daily and I don't see an issue like this and it keeps the house overall in great shape. I've been really impressed with how the L60 performs overall and keeps the hair tangle at bay. As others have suggested I'd contact the company because this seems defective to me. What you're describing sounds like exactly what these robot vacuums are for!

I think hair length really matters. I have the same hoover and a few people here have long hair, I get maybe 1.5 runs before it gets tangled. It's not really worth using the robovac in my case. In the time I spend cutting hair out of the moving parts I could just have used a regular hoover.

Had my Saros 10 for a couple of days, seems to work well on my low pile carpet. Obviously never had a S8 before. I see people mention S10 is not great on carpet due to the hair detangling brush design, but personally I am loving this brush. My wife’s hair is quite fine and long but it’s doing a fantastic job reducing the amount of maintenance I need to do for the rollers. My S7 MaxV and Eufy L60 required me removing hair from the roller at least every few days. One thing I must mention is Roborock is not putting enough resource in providing updates for Saros 10. Their focus seems to be on the 10R.

I feel like most people only post here when they've just purchased a vac or are thinking about buying one. I'd love to hear what models you've been using for YEARS, and how they've treated you. Here's mine (short list): Ecovacs Deebot N79S - bought July 2020, used until 2024. This thing served me well, I had to replace the battery and other parts a couple times, eventually it just made such an annoying squeaky belt noise I had to stop For the price ($140usd) I think it was a good value. Eufy L60 - bought Apr 2024. I loved this thing but in recent days it's started going in circles and thinking it's stuck. It definitely doesn't have anything. obstructing the wheels. Searched this sub and someone else had to replace the wheels to fix it. I'm not sure about the durability of this thing, so I'm pretty annoyed. ($250 USD, not good value)

I have a eufy (L60?) and it’s changed my life. I still have to use a hand vac for corners and bits and pieces that it misses but for the most part it’s amazing. Get one with smart mapping. I’ve had others without it and they were barely worth having. That way you can set it to just one area if you need and it already knows where it’s been.

Got the Eufy L60 on the Black Friday sales. Not a fancy one with a mop just a vacuum. It maps out the different rooms pretty well and I find the app nice and easy to use. Does occasionally get stuck between a door and a bed but other than that had no issues.

If you were happy with the G30, check out the Eufy L60, which is probably the closest model to the G30. It's an improvement over the G30, with real LIDAR navigation and good app support. You can get it standalone, with a self-empty station, or with a mop. The self-empty version is $280 on Amazon right now, which is a very good deal. It doesn't have the dual rollers, but it does have a hair-cutting blade on the dock, if that was what you were concerned about with the dual roller design. Also similar: the Eufy C10, which is $230 with self-empty on Amazon. Its navigation will be a little bit worse than the L60. No dual roller brush on this one either, but it does have an extending side brush for better corner cleaning. Most of the dual roller robots I know of also include at least a stationary mop pad. You can remove the mop plate and forget it even exists; the stationary mop does not affect vacuuming performance or impose a lot of overhead, unlike the other types. If you're fine with getting a mop you don't use, a number of options arise: the Q8 you mentioned and the Dreame D20 Pro+ come to mind. But if you must have a robot with no mop and dual rollers, here's your robot: the Roborock Q5 Max+. Its only drawback: it's $500 on Amazon US. If you'd rather pay more for a robot with no mop, you can do that.

I have the EUFY L60 and it’s pretty great for the price but I can’t really see it avoiding puke. I think you’d need a really expensive one and even one of those would probably miss puke/puddles. I usually pre-clean tidy up before running it. Picks up a lot of cat hair as I have two.

Unfortunately it's all in the market pressures, certain sets of requirements or categories of robots have been totally eliminated. For example it's really hard to find much choice of robot mops, everybody has switched to making combination all-in-one robots which are much more expensive. It can be really frustrating. What I will say, avoid models with AI obstacle avoidance camera systems mounted on the front bumper. This should help limit privacy concerns. A lidar sensor can give a basic layout of your house and furniture placement but it can't really see details, it's basically a 2-D image. Edit: obviously all images are 2-D lol. What I meant is, it's only seeing your house through a really thin laser beam shining out from the top "turret". This means it can see shapes on that line of sight and nothing else, basically it doesn't steer that laser up or down. It can't see details of people, pets, objects not at floor level etc. It'll see four furniture legs, with no way to tell if it's a sofa or a dining table. Obviously having a literal camera is a totally different story there. And luckily a lot of the more basic options lack cameras (for now anyway). Models like the eufy L60 or Roborock Q5 might be ones to look at.

The Eufy blade that cuts the hair was completely useless for long, human hair on one of mine (eufy L60). It did equally as badly as my Eufy x8 Pro, but the blade seemed to make zero difference in the way the brush looked after a cycle.

The L60 Hybrid (the version with the mop pad) is on sale right now for $279 on Amazon and Best Buy. You can buy this and throw the mop pad in a drawer, or get the SES for $399 on Amazon. Don't ask me why the Hybrid is cheaper than the SES, given that you get the SES as part of the Hybrid. Roborock is doing something similar; the Q5 Pro+ is on sale for $359 (with coupon) on Amazon, while the Q5 Max+ is over $500. The Pro+ includes a mop, and is otherwise the same.

Interesting that the cutter worked well on the Eufy X10 Pro omni. It didn't seem to make any difference on the L60. Was trying to get away from Eufy since I've had so many issues with the L60 and X8 (which doesn't have the cutter).

I’ve had 3 robot vacuums over the last 12ish years. The first two were like $150ish and totally worth the money for their price and years of solid use. I splurged a bit more on the last one, I think it was like $300 even though that’s still on the low end for many of them. This thing self-empties AND cuts its own roller brush hair!!! So it helps with my 2 long haired cats and one long haired dog a lot. It also has a lot of other features. I got a eufy L60. If you have more to spend you could get one that’s even higher rated than that with similar self-empty and brush roller cutting features. Definitely worth the time and effort saved imo!

Id recommend the Eufy L60. Bought our one from Noel Leeming for around $600 half a year ago. Does a great job. It will empty itself after vacuuming. It has pretty much completely replaced our vacuum cleaner. The only downside is that the floor needs to be clutter free. It will try eat up any cables socks etc. Takes about 45 minutes to do our 2 bedroom townhouse with a large lounge. Quite easy to maintain and repair too. Batteries, roller brushes, wheels etc can all be replaced DIY. A bit expensive but totally worth it for us. I've heard a lot of negative feedback about cheap models.
