I use this, too, and it works just fine for me.
r/WFH • Portable monitors ->Thanks all, I ended up getting this one (https://a.co/d/5GU4F42) and it actually supports both MacBook and the SNES mini - I’m guessing the old one I had was just too old!
r/miniSNESmods • Recommendations for compatible portable travel monitors for SNES Mini ->Mines been great, no issues, pretty dim though. https://preview.redd.it/cafx59de5rzf1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7e0d4bab35c2be845197e413551cd264d807f51
r/buildapcsales • [Monitor] KYY 15.6" FHD Portable Monitor - $54.99 - Woot - ($145 off) ->I've got a mini pc, portable router, and this portable monitor. The PC is setup up to auto boot sunshine and steam big picture so it can be streamed from with the android head unit up front, or you can use the bigger screen in the trunk. Right now I'm using Wi-Fi on the head unit which seems to be having some weird issues sometimes so I'm gonna try to get a USB Ethernet adapter working. https://preview.redd.it/84182zv40wzf1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7e7b60e3df781d060436dc89894e21d631da154
r/buildapcsales • [Monitor] KYY 15.6" FHD Portable Monitor - $54.99 - Woot - ($145 off) ->I have this one that I use when I work from home: [Amazon.com: KYY Portable Monitor 15.6inch 1080P FHD USB-C, HDMI Computer Display HDR IPS Gaming Monitor w/Premium Smart Cover & Screen Protector, Speakers, for Laptop PC MAC Phone PS4 Xbox Switch : Electronics](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088D8JG3L?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1) I've taken it with me during conferences to work from my hotel room if needed. Super light weight, easy set up. I've been happy with it. I also have this stand, as I didn't really trust that the cover that it came with would be sturdy enough to truly be a monitor stand: [Amazon.com: LISEN Tablet Stand for iPad Holder, Foldable Tech Gadgets iPad Accessories Kindle Bed Home Office Desk Accessories for Women Grandkids Gifts Portable Monitor Stand Fits Galaxy Tab Fire 4-15.9" Black : Electronics](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTDHQJ6X?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1)
r/LawBitchesWithTaste • portable monitor recs ->I don't know if this'll do it for you, but I'm using one of [these](https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Monitor-15-6inch-Computer-Protector/dp/B088D8JG3L) as a monitor for my Steam Deck. It works pretty well for that purpose, and I haven't had any issues when I used GFN through the Deck either.
r/GeForceNOW • External portable monitor recommendations ->Np. Just one thing to point out though, and that's that I'm using GFN strictly on Performance. So I don't know that this monitor (either this specific model, or just in general) can show all of the fancy stuff that Ultimate makes possible. I picked it up myself mainly based on cost and screen size.
r/GeForceNOW • External portable monitor recommendations ->I had one, it broke mysteriously in a backpack after like its 4th use. No notable damage drop or fall.
r/buildapcsales • [Monitor] KYY 15.6" FHD Portable Monitor - $54.99 - Woot - ($145 off) ->[https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088D8JG3L](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088D8JG3L) works perfectly fine. I have one and I know several others in 2 different offices have them as well.
r/Surface • Recommended portable monitor setup for Surface Laptop 7? ->I have S23 Ultra. I use this one, powered by phone or hub or wall plug. Love it, so light. Dual USB-C ports So phone and independent power at the same time if you want. https://a.co/d/bHXZGxf
r/SamsungDex • Any cheap medium sized portable monitors that can be powered directly from my phone? ->No-name portable monitors of this size get down to $55-$70 all the time on Amazon, so this isn't a crazy deal. I've had this exact monitor for a couple years and have taken it all over in my backpack's laptop pocket. The stand sucks but that's just a universal problem with this style of stand. It protects the screen fine. It's fine, perfectly decent and bright enough. Nothing outstanding, nothing wrong with it. Good for work and good enough for games. There are better monitors, but this is fine for $55. It's either buy something about this quality for about this price, or $150 for a higher-quality one.

r/workfromhome • View on Reddit →I used a folio style one while in college. The brand was KYY and I got it off of Goodwill’s website for like $30. Their prices aren’t too bad on Amazon nowadays, they are around $50. I mainly use the type c connection but it works with micro hdmi as well.

r/digitalnomad • View on Reddit →I bought my 15.6 KYY in April 2024 and have been using it daily since. It's taken a few falls over that time too. And it's held up pretty well other than a small nick in the plastic of the screen from one of the falls. I'm actually impressed for a cheap monitor that only cost $70.

r/digitalnomad • View on Reddit →Portable monitor recommendation: https://a.co/d/37nJEtL I've been using it for several months now and have no complaints. The only thing is that it's not a touch screen, but you really don't need it.

r/buildapcsales • View on Reddit →Totally this. This Pi monitor also doesn't support DP over USB-C. I've got a [cheap (and really nice) display](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BKKLV9HY) that gets it power AND video over USB-C. Works with modern Macs and PCs that support this. One cable is all that is necessary for these devices. Also has a Mini HDMI for legacy devices.
r/raspberry_pi • View on Reddit →This is the one I use as well, works great. I actually have two and have had both for over two years. I don't use them daily but they're holding up well, no complaints.
r/WFH • View on Reddit →I use this one also. It's lightweight and works well so far.
r/SamsungDex • View on Reddit →I also have 2 KYY portable monitors (because sometimes I really like having a third screen). I would also say they are really easy to set up, you just plug them in and they configure easily. I use the cover/stand that they come with. I would say it is annoying to use if you don’t have a large space to set up. Also the screen quality is not always the best, sometimes I think they are a little fuzzy- especially after reading long documents and contracts. Some of my colleagues use the screens that actually attach to the back of their laptops and that solves the need for any type of stand. If you also like 3 monitors I have also seen them with two screens that extend from the side of a laptop.
r/LawBitchesWithTaste • View on Reddit →If you're looking for a home setup, I would honestly just get a real monitor (and a dock) for home use. Having the screen real estate of a 27"+ screen at the right height, directly in front of you, is irreplaceable. For travel, I pack a small [USB-C portable monitor](https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Monitor-15-6inch-Computer-Protector/dp/B088D8JG3L?sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1), but honestly don't really use it all that much. I prefer the separate monitor over the extender so that I can adjust it's location to suit my needs. Also good for swinging it around and presenting it to someone else in the room. Also also, doesn't put physical strain on the actual laptop.
r/WFH • View on Reddit →Couldn’t do my job as effectively w/o a second monitor; I just use [this basic one I got on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Monitor-Monitors-Computer-External/dp/B09BB5T7FV/ref=asc_df_B09BB5T7FV?mcid=57003477a1b63d37b836b7d8918f693f&hvocijid=16319080159305976234-B09BB5T7FV-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16319080159305976234&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030814&hvtargid=pla-2281435181498&psc=1)

r/GeForceNOW • View on Reddit →Clip to, not sure.... But there are relatively 'Cheap' external portable monitors that can do the job. I picked up a 15.6 inch KYY branded one from Amazon for like $50 to use as a second screen. Works well enough. The speakers on it absolutely suck, but I use Bluetooth Speakers anyway. I recommend a External Portable Monitor for all kinds of uses anyway. Never know when one will come in handy.
