Finicky sometimes but you can always connect them. Well worth it as a minor hiccup. I have the M3s. The M4s might be better
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Absolute best speaker under $400? ->Yeah, they have some minor hangups. I've noticed when pairing in Stereo mode, the sure fire way to insure a connection is to make sure the sub is unplugged from both speakers when pairing. I've never really had issues pairing my speakers when my sub is unplugged. Then when paired just go into the app settings toggle stereo lock and you are set. As long as you power on the satellite speaker first and the secondary speaker soon after they will always pair back up without issue. To avoid all this I just toggle the setting to never turn my Minirigs off after 30 minutes. Love my speakers and I dont see any other small portable bluetooth speaker comparing. Love mine so much. Really upset with some of the changes they made to the M4's though. They removed low/high gain functionality and really dumbed down the app. No 5 band EQ anymore. Just bass, treble and volume. So dumb... Makes me reluctant to upgrade from the M3's unless I seriously need to. Also the M4's wont pair with the M3's. Not sure what they were thinking.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Absolute best speaker under $400? ->MINIRIG is the way to go
r/audiophile • Why people are okay with mono Bluetooth speakers? ->Mini rigs are one of the few that are BiFl the company builds them for repair capacity and offers repairs
r/BuyItForLife • The best bluetooth speaker worth buying now? (sound quality and portability) ->i seriously doubt the credibility of rtings' measurements. rtings measurements of the minirg 4 would suggest that it is a warm sounding speaker with rolled off highs, which is contradicted by measurements done by alan. alan and oluv's measurements are far more accurate from my experience. but to get the full picture you will need an anechoic chamber or a free field impulse measurement device (like dynaudio's jupiter or CEA2034 spinorama measurements from a klippel NFS)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • PSA: The Bose Soundlink Flex 2nd Gen is Objectively the Best Sounding Bluetooth Speaker ->Youd be crazy to use them as monitors. Perhaps some people don't understand what monitors are actually used for. Minirigs do not play deep, are not flat and sound changes depending on orientation. Probably the same people claiming the uboom l is flat and neutral lol
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best sounding portable speaker to keep in the bedroom under $500usd? Im aiming toward the best audio quality experience possible. ->Thats because they aren't professionals (i assume) and just accept anything they hear on youtube. Monitors in the wrong setting can sound awful. However the minirigs are not monitors. They resolve well however and suit a discerning ear. Just don't use them as monitors or your mix will be crap.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best sounding portable speaker to keep in the bedroom under $500usd? Im aiming toward the best audio quality experience possible. ->I got 2 minirigs to do the sound for my outdoor wedding. They are awesome and I still use them daily 2 years later. They have a “gain” setting built into the single button you use to power them on so sometimes when they start up they are incredibly loud but other than that the minirigs are very good and I used to use an Anker Soundcore in the past.
r/BuyItForLife • The best bluetooth speaker worth buying now? (sound quality and portability) ->I have both. OB-4 only at home and 2 Minirig 4 for travel.
r/teenageengineering • How are OB-4 owners doing? OB-4 vs Minirig? ->MINIRIG is the smallest powerhouse I know of, can go crazy loud. The best thing is that this power capacity means the sound is super clean at decent volume (maybe 40 - 50%)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Small Speaker Thats Actually Loud? ->I also use the minirig for my mobile dj setup.
r/PioneerDJ • View on Reddit →For traveling I always bring a single Minirig. Long battery, tough, and great bass for a small dude. If we pack good I throw a second one in my wife’s bag. However I did love the Soundlink mini 2 for the longest until it died
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Minirig 4 Any list that doesnt have minirig listed is not credible. Not cheap but hits everything in your requirements.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I have a couple MiniRigs and they are excellent for small size. Come with a ‘case’ that can be clipped
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Update: got the minirig4 and just finished my first guitar, bass, sp404 loop with it. This thing is amazing - super glad I got it. Solid for streaming, but playing live stuff through it is amazing.
r/SP404 • View on Reddit →Came to say mini rig as well. I have the 2 of them and the subwoofer. Sounds fantastic. Great soundstage. Nonetheless they sound so good I end up just using one in mono lol.
r/audiophile • View on Reddit →I had a 1, years and years ago, dont think they make them now... might find a second hand one on ebay ofc Honestly buy the 4 though, thats what I got now... it very impressive in every way
r/Music • View on Reddit →Depends on the speaker. Some of the delay is caused by Bluetooth, and some by the DSP (signal processing) - aux will bypass the Bluetooth, but not necessarily the DSP. Some speakers have minimal-to-zero lag on the aux (Minirig, Tribit Stormbox Blast) and some still have significant. For example I believe some of the JBL PartyBoxes have lag on the aux in but not on the daisychain as that bypasses the DSP :)
r/Beatmatch • View on Reddit →I got a second Minirig 4, and it made a very noticeable difference to the sound clarity (which I had been happy with) I now put the speakers either side of my at my desk while I work and they are wonderful. So the second Minirig 4 is my favourite
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Mini rig 4 ? They are very solidly made, and I like the sound profile, but others may want more bass
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I have both. Get the OB4 over Minirig. Minirig is only better for me for travel bc of the size and battery and toughness. If you’re using at home OB4 100%
r/teenageengineering • View on Reddit →Yep, they really are. It's weird, every time Minirig gets mentioned here it gets downvoted.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I’m a big clarity fan and also have bilateral tinnitus. The last speaker I got was really bass heavy, which was ok for certain types of music, but it was horrible for podcasts which I listen to a lot. I’ve got a Minirig system now, I can turn the bass down for spoken content, and they offer very good fidelity for a portable speaker, you could ad another at a later date for a stereo pair
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →My JBL charge 3 is waaay more than loud enough to use in the shower, and is totally waterproof (can even be submerged up to several metres). This is why although i now have a Minirig 4 / Sub 3 (2.1 setup) i am going to keep my JBL charge 3 (2.0 setup) for use at the beach, in the rain etc. As Minirigs are not waterproof at all unfortunately. The only thing about JBL’s is they are bass heavy, which is great for electronic / dance / hiphop / reggae music, but not so good for podcasts etc. Still perfectly fine, just not as clear as say, a Minirig
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Edit: im a music major too. I just got a mini rig 4. It’s great. I’m fussy. More honest sound than a flex 2 imo, though less ‘bass’ ( inverted commas because bose bass is artificially enhanced using overtones and compression etc) I use the minirig as a small mixing monitor sometimes as it has a super low latency 3.5mm input. Minirig is also repairable and environmentally more responsible than the big companies. Some report Bluetooth issues though, but from what I read, minirig is good at returns due to these issues.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I've just got myself a [Minirig 4](https://minirigs.co.uk/speakers/bluetooth-minirig-4) - my friend had the OG one (aux only) about 12 years ago and it blew my mind. The 4 sounds phenomenal given it's size - if I put it next to my hifi speakers you wouldn't realise that the sound was coming from that little cylinder rather than the hifi
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I just got my Minirig 4, it’s super compact cylinder shape , exactly 4” (101.6mm) diameter , 2 7/8” (73mm) tall. Weighs about 1.25lbs (563 grams). The built in amp is rated to 50w. This things gets loud, the new app allows for 5 band eq adjustments. Down sides it doesn’t auto connect, so you have to to manually select it from your Bluetooth setting(speaking as an iPhone user.) it also is only water resistant (splash resistant, likely ipx7. It is pricey, and ships from the uk. But the build quality is superb. All aluminum housing, thick rubber base, and aluminum grille. It comes with a heavy duty “case” with a mesh upper that allows sound to play within the soft case and a loop for included carabiner. It is available on Amazon, but it’s tough to find, try “Minirig uk” in the search. Listed at 199$ for the larger Minirig 4, the Minirig mini 2 is only 15w of power.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Another vote for the excellent Mini Rig(s).
r/synthesizers • View on Reddit →How much is your budget? If you really need to go cheap, Anker is a pretty decent brand and very good reputation. I have the MINIRIG and it bumps. Pricey little guy though, but man it’s worth it. For pocket operators though you’re gonna wanna use direct line in. You’re gonna get bad latency with Bluetooth. Pretty much terrible for producing.
r/pocketoperators • View on Reddit →Minirig 4 is waaaaaay louder than ob-4
r/teenageengineering • View on Reddit →DEFINITELY go with a minirigs 4 ..... watch some youtube comparisons .... they are by far the loudest small size speakers (tho arguably not the deepest bass but very clean sounding....)
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →There’s only 2 real portable options with no lag. The minirig series or the Blueant x-3d. All the new JBL series basically has some form of lag built in so you’re basically screwed.
r/PioneerDJ • View on Reddit →I have to wade in here on the Minirig 4. It sounds okay for sure, but the Bluetooth connectivity is absolutely awful. Be it a laptop to phone, five to seven feet is your limit. If there is a wall, even drywall, in between, forget it. It's such a shame. As a DJ, the aux input is fantastic, but as a Bluetooth speaker, absolutely not.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →They sound great! I haven’t had much chance to use them yet, but my initial experiments have left me impressed. Good sound quality, surprisingly decent bass quality for the size (not too bloated and boomy, but present), and capable of getting extremely loud (I only tested it at like 25% in my apartment, and that was almost too loud). The stereo Bluetooth pairing is a super nice-to-have feature as well, even if I intend to use them mostly in wired mode

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →The new Minirig 4s are out. Kinda wish I had those. They have usb c on it now so you can even use it as a power bank if your phone goes low. They sound great and I always use it in low mode for regular listening. High mode goes real loud but it’s more high and mid prominent so better if you have it paired with the minirig sub. Wife got me a whole setup and it can get pretty loud for parties. We’ve set up little DJ stations on cookouts and stuff with the setup and it perfect for outdoors bc it’s so rugged. If you get one just try one and see if you like it. Modular so you can link up as many as you want.

r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Definitely use mini rig! all the others will have a delay….digital Dj tips have a YouTube video explaining it
r/PioneerDJ • View on Reddit →Minirig is small but mighty What is your use case? 500 is a lot to spend on a bluetooth speaker
r/psytrance • View on Reddit →Minirig - they are amazing. Big sound, big bass small speaker. Can be linked up for outdoor raving
r/BuyFromEU • View on Reddit →Nice! Mine just arrived, finally, after spending the week in customs. Excited to try them out
r/Elektron • View on Reddit →Minirig 4 are the absolute best I could find, though they’re pricey and they are shipped from the UK, so may not be worth it for everyone depending on where you’re from. As a disclaimer, I haven’t heard them directly yet, as they’re currently in the mail, but everything I could find online seems to say they’re near perfect. Zero latency stereo mode with wires, or Bluetooth stereo without. Can be coupled with a subwoofer or up to 4 total units, iirc
r/Elektron • View on Reddit →Yes i know, so i replied with best go with minirig. Id say a mackie thump but ive no idea what the use case is. So best stick to mini rig.
r/DJs • View on Reddit →IKmultimedia Micros are popular (I use them) as small reference monitors. Otherwise, I would pick up any decent portable chargeable speaker(s) with an common 1/8" AUX-in. Line-ins are less popular now, so check before you buy. If you want a specific recommendation, I would happily recommend the Mini Rigs 4, either as mono solo or as a pair and stereo.
r/Elektron • View on Reddit →Minirig ! Ultra portable and sounds better than everything on the market in the price range.
r/PioneerDJ • View on Reddit →I went for a Minirig set up. Not cheap, but zero latency with aux, insane battery life and they do a portable sub. The 2.1 set up slaps.
r/pocketoperators • View on Reddit →I dont know much about the emberton 2s, but I find the minirig 4s are omnidorecrional as well. And paired up in stereo, the soundstage/sweet spot is huge. And without. Loss of seperation. Pair it up with the subwoofer and it sounds as good as some hi fi sound systems. That being said, there are cons with the minirigs as well. The bluetooth reliability can be shotty, but it seems that its a hit and miss. Hopefully the minirig team has corrected that issue by now
