JBL - PartyBox Club 120

Partybox all day. Blew every expectation I had. I currently have Partybox 120, but I’m looking for 320 or 520 Just an absolute monster of a speaker, bass hits hard

The boombox is also really nice, a bit more portable. Loud, clear, ok bass But the partybox is sick, on a different level

What do you have now? How portable do you want it? How much do you want to spend? Do you have any ideas what you want? I spent a lot of time listening to different Bluetooth speakers in the store. I ended up with the JBL Partybox 120. Really happy with it. Sounds amazing. I do however sometimes wish I went with something slightly more portable like an Xtreme. But the amount of times I'd use it out of the house, I'm overall happy with my choice.

Gen 3 B&O is out now but, I'm still rocking the 2nd Gen for potable great sound, and it's good enough for under $140 on Amazon renewed, and I'm using my JBL Partybox Club 120 for my whole home theater setup in my Den connected to my JBL Clip 5, and a JBL Go 4 linked in Auracast and it works well all together!

I'd say the Partybox 120 is the better value here. Since they're about the same price, but you get more for your money.

If the JBL Partybox 110/120 is too expensive, go for 2 or more UBoom X. You can pair them up, but be aware that party or tws mode will drain the battery faster (as is the case with all speakers). The Stormbox is nowhere loud enough. Strombox Blast would also work, but needs a bigger charger.

A Jbl Partbox 120 would do everything you need it to. 24 lbs is not too crazy considering its size and bass output. Tribit Stormbox blast is probably enough speaker for most people. 12lbs (like the JBL Boombox) $5000 is silly $ for BT speakers unless you need a high output PA speaker like the EV Everse12 or an array of Soundboks .

Partyboxes are fine tbh, I don't see why audiophiles hate them

JBL is really covering the portable party speaker market. Depends on the type of party you are having and how much $ you want to spend for real advice but the big JBL 710 has no battery and the new 520 is getting good reviews and has a replaceable battery. Pair of JBL 120 is what I would use unless this was a real event where you need bust out the 18" subs and 130 db mains. The LG stage 301 and Zealot sS89 are getting good recommendations from Jagist reviews if you want something smaller than a big partybox.

as others have mentioned, the jbl partybox series is great for this. hard to go wrong with them. but there are good models from sony and bose that offer similar features, too. you'll want to search for things like 'best karaoke speakers' or 'best Bluetooth pa speaker' to get an idea for what's out there.

I recomment the boombox 3 or the Partybox 120. you Need to adjust the Bass on 120 for proper flat Sound, but it is the best bang per Buck imo

JBL partybox. 310 is def overkill but a 110 or 120 would be perf

I second going with JBL Partybox if size isn't a factor. I tried other partybox brands in home and out, nothing compared to the bass and clarity.

I would recommend sone of the bigger JBL speakers (Not the Xtreme). The RGB Looks somewhat trashy bit they Sound alright

Yeah.  I've heard a few different PartyBox models.  For me it's that the $3000 partyboxes are hot garbage. but the $300-900 ones are REALlY good.

JBL Party Box, biggest one you can afford. But honestly Id save more money and look into RCF JMix8, its not battery powered but it knocks good bass for the price and highly portable.

Yes. Don't put one in your trunk. Put one on either side in the back seat, or the single 320 in the middle seat. The single 320 may be more practical for having in your car. The two 120s would be more versatile and being able to play stereo sounds really good in some settings especially outside your car, but losing two seats might be too much space to give up.

Depends on the speaker. Some of the delay is caused by Bluetooth, and some by the DSP (signal processing) - aux will bypass the Bluetooth, but not necessarily the DSP. Some speakers have minimal-to-zero lag on the aux (Minirig, Tribit Stormbox Blast) and some still have significant. For example I believe some of the JBL PartyBoxes have lag on the aux in but not on the daisychain as that bypasses the DSP :)

Go for powered (built-in amplifier) speakers. I have transitioned from bluetooth speakers to stereo bookshelf speakers and I am not going back. I have Q Acoustics M20. And if you need more bass, wait a year or two, save some money, and go buy a subwoofer and connect it with the speakers. I have an SVS SB-1000. For a small to s-medium room you will never get worried about clarity, volume and bass again. If you go bluetooth you will always ask for more. However, if it is for outdoor use spend as much as you can afford to a JBL Partybox (for your budget, I'd recommend 120 or 320). Don't go to Sony (no bass at high volumes, I have a XB-43). Don't go small, as before, you will ask for more very soon.

If you can get a black Friday discounted JBL Partybox 120 (or lucky on a cheaper open box 320) they're great options. Have the 120, love it, but father in law has 320 and it's a big jump up on bass and volume.

No way you’d pick this over a PartyBox. I tried a boombox out and it was underwhelming so I returned it. I tried a PartyBox and now I have three of them.

Until you switch to a JBL PartyBox.

Have you listened to a JBL PartyBox in person?

I am required to always recommend JBL after I had a OnStage that I put through the ringer for 10 years in my garage and it now lives a quiet life as my mother in laws TV speaker. I have a large JBL partybox for my pool and the sound is great, durability, all the above. Every time I have used another bluetooth speaker from a different company I've always been disappointed in some way or another. They are pricey but kind of a buy once, cry once sort of thing.

i literally bought both the pb120 and bb3 to see which one i like more, trust me the bb3 is if not as loud as the pb120 if plugged in

JBL Partybox club 120 is a monster in terms of bass, but if you need more portability, uboomX has a powerful and deep bass for its size.

What Adam says, the smaller JBL series have a passive membrane which serves as the Subwoofer, but its in no way as controllable Like a normal Driver. the ones inwould recommend are from the partybox series, they have sizeable drivers and two tweeters for the high frequencies

Look on eBay. I’ve purchased two refurbished ones for a steep discount and when they show up they’re basically brand new.

Soundboks works great. I'm in a traveling baseball team, and every team has speakers. Most of the speakers don't impress me. JBL PartyBox is a good option entry level with good sound quality and budget friendly. Different size options and different budget options as well. Soundboks seems to be the best option out there, but pricing seems a bit steep. You get the loudest DB in battery-powered speakers I can find with the loudest highs and bass. The sound quality is excellent. Bose S1 Pro I'm highly impressed with it. The output and size from such a small package it's really sounds impressive all around, definitely a winner in sound quality. Other than the 3 mentioned, either I haven't discovered another good portable battery-powered speaker option, or they're not impressive enough for me to research and look them up. So, for now, these 3 are my personal recommendations. If anyone has some additional input or recommendations, I'd love to see them. It is always good to know other options in the future.

JBL Partybox. It's amazing - even at the 5-10% volume that we limit it to while camping.

The direct modern equivalent would be a larger Bluetooth speaker. These min stereos weren't amazing quality, but they weren't cheap junk either. From what I've seen, the amplifiers and the speaker drivers were built pretty well on those upper-midrange micro stereos. Just like a JBL PartyBox. Meant to get loud, decent bass, but not audiophile quality.

JBL Partybox 120 or bigger. See if there is a place that rents them with the microphone. Those should be adequate for a small ceremony of 20-40 people or reception that is not going to get too rowdy If more than 100 people are showing up hire a real DJ for the love of god. Do not cheap out on the audio on a event like this and even though some people think it is cheesy having a experienced wedding DJ/MC handle the audio they can really makes things flow better for everyone involved.

I use a JBL partybox. Has aux input, has a battery for portability (goes well with a portable FLX4) and has really good bass and is loud enough.

JBL charge series is always a great buy, With a $150 budget. I have had my JBL charge 3 since 2018, only recently upgraded to the party box series, because I wanted something bigger and with way more bass. For a desk speaker the charge 4-5 is perfect, it has enough bass with EQ added. The flip and the other smaller ones that you can clip on, are going to be slightly quiet compared to the charge series. The charge series is the happy medium between good sound and portability.

I think at least 200$ but then you got only a little monster like stormbox blast. For real bass you need to go with JBL Partybox series

\+1 for another speaker so you get true stereo. That makes a bigger different than you'd think. If that's not enough, buy as much JBL PartyBox as you can afford...
