Yeah, realistically that isn't going to happen, replacing 10 speakers with 1-3 is tough as it is, much less when those 10 speakers were designed for the space they are in and those 1-3 are jammed into an enclosure with the amp and battery in a single unit... I mean the closest you will get is a one of the big JBL Party Boxes which honestly isn't very portable at like 75 pounds and 45 inches tall, not to mention they run a grand or so. If you just want decent sound quality -AND- portability the JBL Flip, Charge, or even the Extreme series are pretty decent, but for high end quality you are going to be going well over the $500 mark... KEF, Bowers & Wilkens, Sonos, etc. And Bose... Yeah, I am not a huge fan... I would take the Infinity system in my Hyundai over it in a heartbeat for sound quality.

Bro motion 300 doesn't come close to Flip 6 in the terms of clarity, instrument separation and bass, but still jbl is a little bit harsh. My first Bluetooth speaker was tribit stormbox micro 2, a bit smaller than average portable speakers and I love it's sound profile it was best to my ears. Later on I tried tribit sound plus, JBL flip 6, motion 300, and currently I'm having Bose SoundLink flex Gen 2. Bose is not everyone it doesn't have a bright sound. And the soundstage is narrow but still somehow it's favorite to Many. I didn't try tribit stormbox flow but I heard it has same sound profile as tribit stormbox micro 2. Tribit sound plus is also called audiophile level speaker so you can try sound plus 2. Motion 300 bass some time so bad that unbearable.

The Chinese speaker has strong bass, but it becomes annoying over long listening sessions. Overall, the JBL Flip 6 is worth a try. If I were to recommend one, go for the Bose Flex 2 – its bass sounds more authentic.

The multiple channels in most higher end speakers will give clear sound, but you are correct that it won’t give a true near field stero experience. I prefer wide proper stereo field everytime over “more bass” At work I use a pair of JBL flip6 as a steroe pair and they sound fantastic. My “travel stereo” is a pair of JBL Go4s. For music or watching a movie on my iPad, these placed on either side of me 20 to 30 inches apart is perfect. The speakers are not much bigger than a deck of cards and easy to transport. Neither of these setups woukd be sufficient for someone looking for signifanct bass, so perpsnal preference and intended use is what matters.

If battery life is your main concern, the Beats Pill (2024) is the better option. It offers up to 24 hours of battery life compared to the JBL Flip 6’s 12 hours. Plus, it has USB-C charging and can even be used as a power bank to charge your devices.

Charge has more bass. Flip is lighter more portable. One of my favorite speaker of all time is the JBL Clip 4. But the 5 is better because the power button doesn’t get hit by accident like the 4. Smaller speaker but it sounds great and extremely portable and great battery life.

JBL charge series is always a great buy, With a $150 budget. I have had my JBL charge 3 since 2018, only recently upgraded to the party box series, because I wanted something bigger and with way more bass. For a desk speaker the charge 4-5 is perfect, it has enough bass with EQ added. The flip and the other smaller ones that you can clip on, are going to be slightly quiet compared to the charge series. The charge series is the happy medium between good sound and portability.

I've had most of the lineup from JBL. The Go, Clip, flip, charge, extreme, and boombox. The only one I wasn't really happy with was the clip...it was being sold in a two pack and yet lacked the capability of virtually every JBL speaker which is to be able to link up to other JBLs and play in stereo. They're all good for their size/price. Obviously the Go doesn't thump like the boombox does but it's a fraction of the price and size. I think any of them up through the Charge can be charged with a USB cable then the bigger ones like the extreme/boombox have a proprietary charging cord. They're all at least somewhat water resistant and rugged all the way up to the Boombox and the Extreme being submersible. I remember when I first got the Boombox, being at a pool and my brother asked if I was worried about the speaker being so close to said pool. I said it's supposed to be waterproof and I then proceeded to throw it in the pool. It was totally fine. Battery life on them are all respectable, and at least personally, I haven't had a battery fail yet. The extreme and even more so the Boombox, seem to last forever. More recently I bought a Sony xg500 (Boombox equivalent) when it was on sale. Not a bad speaker, has good mids and highs, but the bass was a little lackluster and overall it couldn't get quite as loud as my 5 year old Boombox. It has an inferior IP rating compared to the Boombox as well. The only thing it really has over the Boombox, that I didn't even realize for a while, and it may or may not be a positive depending on the person, is it has some lighting effects on the side that strobe with music. Overall the Boombox is really the better buy for sure. The only other speakers I've heard that were as good or better were some bose ones, but they didn't have much bass, and the ones I saw didn't seem too rugged. The UE speakers I've heard were fine but not as good as JBLs

Hi I own a flip 6, 2x charge 5, xtreme 3 and a boom box 2 If you are looking for portability i would go for the flip 6/7. The f6 weighs about 500 grams and sounds good for the size. It's loud enough for outside, but I wouldn't use it for loud music with more people If you just looking for loud music outside and the weight isn't much important i would recommend Going for 2 charge 5's (maybe price dropped because of the release from charge 6)I can guarantee this is peak quality in music and both speakers together weighs about 2kg) xtreme 4 in comparison beats this setup, but Not as much As the boombox 3 would. The boombox 3 is a beast for outside but it weighs also 6700g which is a huge increase of weight. Basswhise the boom box 3 is spectacular. It Can also perform really good till Volume 70-80.

Well, considering decibel, 60 db at 1m distance is really quiet for what I consider a usable speaker. If measured the same way. I think most portables I know are in the range of a maximum of 83-90. This is cause 10db jump equals roundabout a doubling of the felt loudness. So 10 more is much (so, ~20db more at ~80 is waay louder) Are you planning to have your speaker outside of the shower? And a bit far away? Cause I would even consider my phone to be loud enough to use while lying next to my shower, so I would say get a good small one like soundcore select 4 go, that’s noticeably louder and thumpier than my phone, can be tweaked over the in app eq to your liking and is waterresitant so it could be placed next to you in the shower. If that’s not enough, i would choose a speaker with a 2-way setting (mid-woofer + tweeter) for more highs like the Sony ult field 1 oder Jbl flip 6. if it’s just for podcasts, I wouldnt go bigger than that cause i guess that mostly means just more bass, which might even be contraproductive since it might make it harder to understand vocals / speech.

I was recently comparing speakers also.. I have owned a bose soundlink micro (not flex) and enjoyed it. Ultimately wished it could be louder, and I think you are looking at the one step up model. The Marshall made my final 3. If I remember correctly it has an amazing battery life and got great reviews. I've also owned the jbl flip 6 and loved it...

I have a Boombox 2 at home and a Flip 6 in my office. Both are plugged in 24/7. I take them out with me occasionally. Both are still in great condition. If you buy fake products, then you should worry. If you buy genuine products, you have nothing to worry about.

There is a difference. Aside from power bank, Charge 5 has a slightly higher waterproof rating. It is louder with better audio quality than the Flip 6. They do share a similar speaker configuration with a mid-range driver and dedicated tweeter plus the dual passive radiators, but the Charge 5’s speakers are slightly larger. In other words these speakers can be very similar, but in my experience my Charge has been much better at delivering clear and audible sound in my backyard than my Flip 6

Would perhaps you care to specify the exact specs of the speakers and the amp? I got the Flip 6 recently which is pretty much identical to the Flip 7 sound wise and I was vastly disappointed with its' outdoors capacity. It is a small room/apartment speaker at most. The Charge 5/6 delivers great performance/portability ratio. The Xtreme 3 was a huge letdown outdoors as well, you just expect more from a speaker of that size. I never owned a Boombox but from what I read it is a huge upgrade on the Xtreme. So if size/portability is secondary to you - don't cheap out and get the Boombox. If portability is important go with the Charge 6.

Lately, I’ve had the chance to check out more than 64 different Bluetooth speakers, so I thought I’d share my insights to help anyone looking for a great speaker for their laptop. Whether for work, music, or calls, here’s what to consider before buying: * **Sound Quality** \- Clear audio with balanced bass and treble. * **Portability** \- Look for a lightweight speaker (10-30 ounces) if you move around. * **Battery Life** \- At least 8-12 hours for all-day use. * **Connectivity** \- Bluetooth 5.0+ ensures a stable connection. * **Durability** \- Waterproof or dustproof if you need it for travel. # Top Bluetooth Speakers for Laptops **1. Bose SoundLink Flex** – Delivers crisp sound with deep bass in a compact size. It’s IP67-rated, meaning waterproof and dustproof, and has 12-hour battery life. Its PositionIQ tech adjusts sound based on orientation, making it versatile for any setup. **2.JBL Flip 6** – Offers a strong 30W output with powerful bass and an IP67 rating. 12-hour battery, PartyBoost pairing for stereo sound, and rugged design make it a great choice for both indoor and outdoor use. **3.Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4** – Delivers 360° sound, is IP67-rated waterproof and floats, and has a solid 14-hour battery life. Outdoor Boost mode enhances clarity in open spaces, making it great for travel. I recommend [checking out](https://requiremints.com/guide/best-bluetooth-speakers/) more options to find the best fit based on budget and features. Let me know if you have any questions or if you’ve used any of these.

Two Flip6s in stereo are amazing! I'm going to shout this from the rooftop every chance I get. Paired with my phone, I now have a portable (almost) hi-fi. I'm listening to free Spotify. I'll bet they are even better with higher quality files. Some equalization helped. I'm using Poweramp on the Speaker (loud) setting with minor tweaks. It sounds cleaner and fuller to me than the Rock setting. That there isn't more info about these paired in stereo mode leads me to believe people may not know about it. I've never seen it mentioned in a review. I'd love some other opinions on this.

I traveled with the flip 6 the last years, but at the trips, it always seemed to big for the luggage / in the bags. I really like the Stormbox micro 2 design wise, even more since it can be used as a powerbank, but I got the soundcore select 4 go and I really like it (not the tribit mostly cause of its price, not that I couldn’t afford, but I don’t like to spend that much on a small speaker??). I wished the soundcore had the powerbank function too, but it’s half the price and at that difference, I’m not really willing to get the tribit instead?? and it is a really great deal for its price. It is loud as a personal speaker and with fitting equalizer settings in the soundcore app it sounds way bigger ( in its thump) at moderate volumes where I’m listening. Of course not meant for party, but still fitting for a little gathering or so, or when working some where else. For example, I was fixing my bike 3 days ago and hung it close by at ~ 30 % volume and it was nice background music and still easily hearable. If you don’t care about bass and it’s just about volume, I don’t think either of the small will do bad, cause all get loud, but if it’s about party bass for multiple peeps or yourself, you will need a physically BIG speaker

Flip 6 is significantly inferior to 30w xiaomi no doubt on that. I had both, had to mess up with the equaliser a lot for the likeable sound while Xiaomi was instant without any tweaking. They are charging just for the logo. JBL charge 5 is better but then how much? 20% better while charging 150% more. You won't miss anything with Xiaomi, they are known for manufacturing quality products.
