The boombox is also really nice, a bit more portable. Loud, clear, ok bass But the partybox is sick, on a different level
r/JBL • Best speaker for bringing to the park, court-side background music when playing basketball/volleyball? ->Boombox 3 or Boombox 3 wifi, both have insane clarity and the best sounds separation in any portable speaker
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • ‘Audiophile’ Portable Speaker ->My charge 3 lasted nearly 5 years of outdoors use in the Midwest. Summer, winter, forgotten about overnight, it was a tank. Side story: when it recently broke, I ordered another... Or so I thought. I was a little tipsy and bought the boombox instead. This giant box arrives, and let me tell ya, that thing POUNDS.
r/BuyItForLife • The best bluetooth speaker worth buying now? (sound quality and portability) ->I've been using JBL Boombox 3 for a while now, It's got a great battery life but it's a little heavy then Bose SoundLink Max, and great sound quality.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Speaker 2024/2025 ->No, Not really. I love it tbh.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best Bluetooth Speaker 2024/2025 ->I got this today. It sounds great and makes the windows in the house rattle at half volume. The speakers on the end light up when powered on. Let me know if you have questions.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. There's seven speakers, two mid-range, two tweeters, two passive radiators, and a subwoofer.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->The EGO speaker is essentially an upgraded JBL Boombox 3 with a separate battery. You can link 100 of them together, charge devices with it or charge the battery with a USB-C cable.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->It's 21" long and weighs 17lbs without a battery.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->It runs on EGO batteries, up to 50 hours with a 5Ah battery.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->It's very subtle and you can't really tell that it's lit.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->The speakers are made by JBL. Everything they make is electronic.
r/egopowerplus • EGO Bluetooth Speaker ->JBL boombox 2 or 3 they sound amazing and 24 hours playtime
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Best portable Bluetooth speaker to Buy? ->Jbl Boombox 3 no comparison best ever portable speaker
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Look for the best outdoor bluetooth speaker. No real price range. ->I mean for the big speakers a partybox 210 is like okay (also speakers of the same size usually sound very similar), 310 is the best for medium sized rooms and anything above is practically not needed. For the medium sized ones, a boombox 3, charge 4/5/6 are pretty good cost/sound sound variants. For the smaller/little ones it's hard to choose, since you usually can't get much bass out of them. I chose mine by the specs and knowledge. JBL has been around for years and has developed a pretty huge ecosystem of syncing tws clear sounding speakers. Although they're pretty pricey, I think most of their speakers are worth it. How to choose: Ratings/comments under product Specs (Size, wattage and speaker range. The lower it goes, the better it usually is.) Price: must not be overpriced. The less rgb the lower the price (usually (not talking about partyboxes rn))

I read plenty of reviews and purchased a few disappointing speakers, recently stumbled across a used boombox 3 for $200 and just went for it and I been very impressed on how good it actually sounds. I think when this one gives out I will replace with yet another boombox 3 or a PartyBox because I have yet to be let down by a JBL but my trick is I always get them on a sale, clearance or used lol
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • Soundcore boom 2 is very dissapointing ->Great value speaker. I think it’s about louder than the boombox 3 but battery life sucks.
r/JBL • View on Reddit →I've had most of the lineup from JBL. The Go, Clip, flip, charge, extreme, and boombox. The only one I wasn't really happy with was the clip...it was being sold in a two pack and yet lacked the capability of virtually every JBL speaker which is to be able to link up to other JBLs and play in stereo. They're all good for their size/price. Obviously the Go doesn't thump like the boombox does but it's a fraction of the price and size. I think any of them up through the Charge can be charged with a USB cable then the bigger ones like the extreme/boombox have a proprietary charging cord. They're all at least somewhat water resistant and rugged all the way up to the Boombox and the Extreme being submersible. I remember when I first got the Boombox, being at a pool and my brother asked if I was worried about the speaker being so close to said pool. I said it's supposed to be waterproof and I then proceeded to throw it in the pool. It was totally fine. Battery life on them are all respectable, and at least personally, I haven't had a battery fail yet. The extreme and even more so the Boombox, seem to last forever. More recently I bought a Sony xg500 (Boombox equivalent) when it was on sale. Not a bad speaker, has good mids and highs, but the bass was a little lackluster and overall it couldn't get quite as loud as my 5 year old Boombox. It has an inferior IP rating compared to the Boombox as well. The only thing it really has over the Boombox, that I didn't even realize for a while, and it may or may not be a positive depending on the person, is it has some lighting effects on the side that strobe with music. Overall the Boombox is really the better buy for sure. The only other speakers I've heard that were as good or better were some bose ones, but they didn't have much bass, and the ones I saw didn't seem too rugged. The UE speakers I've heard were fine but not as good as JBLs

r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Had a boombox 3, switched to a soundboks Go, for outdoor use and portability, love the soundbox. From volume to battery life to ruggedness, it checks all the boxes.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →A lot larger than you want to. Nothing which you can just toss into your sports bag is going to do the trick (even the JBL xtreme which you think is massive). It’s jbl boombox or Sony ULT field 7 at a bare minimum.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Hi I own a flip 6, 2x charge 5, xtreme 3 and a boom box 2 If you are looking for portability i would go for the flip 6/7. The f6 weighs about 500 grams and sounds good for the size. It's loud enough for outside, but I wouldn't use it for loud music with more people If you just looking for loud music outside and the weight isn't much important i would recommend Going for 2 charge 5's (maybe price dropped because of the release from charge 6)I can guarantee this is peak quality in music and both speakers together weighs about 2kg) xtreme 4 in comparison beats this setup, but Not as much As the boombox 3 would. The boombox 3 is a beast for outside but it weighs also 6700g which is a huge increase of weight. Basswhise the boom box 3 is spectacular. It Can also perform really good till Volume 70-80.
r/JBL • View on Reddit →Idk if you purchased yet, but I have the JBL boombox 3. It gets very loud, app lets you change bass ect. Battery last a really long time. I’ve had mine about 2 years and it’s been great.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Extreme 3/4, Boombox 3 and partybox 110/120/310/320/520
r/JBL • View on Reddit →I like the JBL boom box and the Xtreme 2. Excellent deep bass and great volume. Very ruggedly built and waterproof are added bonuses. Great battery life too. 6-8 hours when fully charged.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →The EGO speaker is essentially an upgraded JBL Boombox 3 with a separate battery. You can link 100 of them together, charge devices with it or charge the battery with a USB-C cable.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →Yes, I would see it that way, too. How did you get such a great deal? I had to pay a few euros more than you did, but it's still incredible value for money. I decided to buy a pair. For me, it was the best purchase I've ever made for Bluetooth speakers. Now, for less than €200, I have an excellent-sounding, portable stereo sound system that works just as well indoors as it does outdoors, and is perfect for personal use, get-togethers with friends or small private events. I have to disagree with you on one point. I had the opportunity to compare my UBOOM X with a Boombox 3, and I would say that the UBOOM X can definitely compete with it. The Boombox has slightly more power. But in terms of sound quality, there is only little difference, and the UBOOM X keeps up well up to around 80–90% volume of the Boombox 3. The sound provided by two UBOOM Xs in TWS (stereo) is clearly superior to that of a single Boombox 3.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →If you want a portable speaker that's affordable and has good sound: Flip 7/charge 5 If you want a speaker that's protable and you only want good sound: boom box 3/4 Non portable that's affordable: party box 110/130 Partybox with crazy good sound: 710/1000/Ultimate
r/JBL • View on Reddit →Boombox 3 or 4 are solid choices if budget is not an issue. If you also plan to use the speaker indoors get boombox WiFi version.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Of the four, definitely the Boombox 3. If money is no object in your decision and you want a branded product, it's not a bad choice. You get the best price-performance ratio with the EarFun UBOOM X. It is more compact and noticeably lighter than any of the other four, i.e. easier and more comfortable to carry around, if that is relevant for your father. In terms of sound, you make no compromises. The boombox is slightly more bass-heavy, while the UBOOM X sounds very balanced and can be adjusted very well in the app with EQs to suit different listening situations.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →If you need it big, get sth like the jbl boombox If you want something you want to carry, get a minirig setup with 2 mids and one sub
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I got this today. It sounds great and makes the windows in the house rattle at half volume. The speakers on the end light up when powered on. Let me know if you have questions.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. There's seven speakers, two mid-range, two tweeters, two passive radiators, and a subwoofer.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →The Ultimate Ears Hyperboom gets louder overall, especially for indoor use, while the JBL Boombox 3 delivers a more powerful bass outdoors. If you want a balance of volume and deep bass, Boombox 3 is the way to go!
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • View on Reddit →Hard to beat the Brane X for bass! The JBL Boombox 3 also pushes plenty of low-end. Otherwise, some budget-friendly options with a good amount of bass are the Tribit StromBox Blast or Lava, and the Soundcore Boom 2 or Boom 2 Pro, depending on how big or small you want your speaker to be.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I have a lot of Bluetooth speakers. My top 3 picks are Orange Box, Sonos Move 2, and JBL Boombox 3. Orange box gets LOUD and is crystal clear (and portable!) although it doesn’t have quite a bit of bass. Sounds best with rock/jazz/blues/country. Boombox 3 is also LOUD and has loads of bass. However, it is very large and heavy. Move 2 is the perfect mix of both. No matter where I plop it, it sounds incredible. If I were to get rid or two of them, I would probably keep the Move 2.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →It's 21" long and weighs 17lbs without a battery.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →It's very subtle and you can't really tell that it's lit.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →Trust me. The boombox 3 is the best sounding, deep bass speaker for its size and weight class. I have the about 15 Bluetooth speakers and 9 of them are JBL. Starting from the flip 6 to the 320 black and white edition. The boombox 3 sounds better than the rest. I’ll preorder the 4 when they come out. Hopefully it have a removable battery in it like the extreme 4.
r/JBL • View on Reddit →Yes! Definitely! But I usually wait for a sale before buying. Or buy it certified factory refurbished.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →i literally bought both the pb120 and bb3 to see which one i like more, trust me the bb3 is if not as loud as the pb120 if plugged in
r/JBL • View on Reddit →technically yea true i did feel the difference between the bb3 bass and pb120 bass both plugged in, but if you just plug your bb3 in and unplug the pb120 they literally are soo close to the same amount of bass. and when you own one and not both i assure everybody in the world that you wont recognise any difference. i do gotta say tho, when listening to songs with both lots of bass or little bass the bb3 sounds clearer as it has different drivers for the low, mid, and highs as far as i know, i dont know too much technically about boxes
r/JBL • View on Reddit →which one would win if it d compete with the JBL boombox 3
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →What do you mean with portability? Able to transport it with a car? Able to place it with other stuff in a bagpack? Able to carry it on a cart like a fridge? Also depends on where you’d use it and how you’d use it. Obviously, those portable ones (to just fit with your stuff in the backpack), you won’t get dance floor thundering bass and rather a good background sound for a gathering with a few friends. If it’s for the backpack style (cause that’s what I’d consider portable) I wouldn’t go bigger than Jbl charge 6 size. Different brands have different signature sounds. I really like jbls, and the newer Sonys. Pretty much any soundcore speaker and Tribit and so on that I had in my hand, I wanted to tune them over their equalizer cause I didn’t like there profiles (I remember them as muffled) Sony field 1 is a great portable and sounds good. Same for flip 7 and charge 6. also worth looking at features other than sound and robustness. Soundcore motion 300 also one I remember with a really nice sound. From what I heard, if you go for a Jbl charge size speaker, looking at the difference to the next bigger one like Jbl xtreme or soundcore boom size, I would say the sound difference can be named almost irrelevant. There is more bass, yes, but not enough worth mentioning to me. So I’d say go either flip / charge size for spontaneously taking to shower and back, outdoors in your backpack, or Jbl boombox size if it has to be taken sometimes by car and needs a big bass for a lil dance round.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Thats pretty cool. I went for the boombox instead of the partybox at the same price just because the sound is clearer on the boombox.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →Yup.. gonna agree to that, you don't expect that kind of sound for it's size, it's never getting old and everybody is complimenting it wherever you go. Flawless
r/JBL • View on Reddit →There are insane sales which makes comparison difficult. For example, here are sales prices I've found from big stores: - Boombox 3: 200e (from 599e) - Partybox Stage 320: 299e (from 599e) - Partybox Stage 120: 199e (from 399e) - Xtreme 4: 199e (from 349e) - Partybox 710: 319e (ftom 799e) I think all these are or and have been insane deals. I would say that Boombox 3 at 200e is maybe the best "worth it" for most, but for those wanting bigger sound Stage 320 at 299e was even better deal (these are the two JBLs I bought from this list at these prices).
r/JBL • View on Reddit →The BB3 definitely has alot of compression at max. That's DSP not keeping up with the volume. The only way to not get compression is to use a speaker without DSP. And if you want no distortion a speaker that's perfectly matched with the right amp.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →That’s a great question, for 1 it’s fully waterproof, vs splash resistant. If you’re going for absolute sound quality indoors/garage, it beats the GO with a more well rounded sound at losers volumes. My biggest complaint is that it will roll over with the slightest bump. While this may sound trivial it’s so so annoying using it in the bed of my truck or on the boat or even transporting it. Just rolls everything and get scratched up in the process.
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →The JBL Boombox 3 and Ultimate Ears Hyperboom are both great choices for deep bass! The Boombox 3 is rugged, waterproof, and built for outdoor use, while the Hyperboom is great for multi-device pairing and party settings
r/BestBluetoothSpeaker • View on Reddit →I have had the boombox 3 in the past and i was hoping this would be the upgrade. The karaoke feature is super nice since I do a lot of singing. Works well with a mic The bass feels artificial when compared to the boombox. Overall the sound is a bit cannier when compared to the Boombox comparable to the soundcores… I’m really hoping this speaker grows on me and i love it in the long run since i cannot return it anymore. Maybe its just that its lacking the wow factor right out of the box like the JBL had
r/Bluetooth_Speakers • View on Reddit →I've got 4 currently. The JBL is probably my favorite. Have 2 Bose and they're pretty good too
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →In my opinion, the boombox 3. It has more than enough for a portable bt speaker
r/JBL • View on Reddit →The speakers are made by JBL. Everything they make is electronic.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →It runs on EGO batteries, up to 50 hours with a 5Ah battery.
r/egopowerplus • View on Reddit →Wonderboom is a classic. Get battery and great surround sound for it's size. For a picnic table outside it does a satisfying job. It's the #1 rated BT speaker by the NY Times. Of course there's bigger and better, but one has to remember that BT portable speakers are supposed to be portable and scratch that itch adequately. A heavy JBL BB3 really really stretched the red line of what's portable. Full stop, BT speakers will NEVER replace a good home sound system. Plus the batteries will brick the device in a few years when it loses its charge....So really, spending large amounts is futile for something that should be considered a disposable razor. And if you're really willing to spend more than $150, you better really use it more than twice a week otherwise you're losing money on that ticking time bomb of a battery which is permanently draining its strength month by month...unless it's a portabke plug in, which is the ultimate recommendation.
