Blyss - A018I-09C Local Air Conditioner 9000BTU

It’s changed the temp significantly! 3 floors and only the lower two were bearable but wasn’t viable to stay on those two as the top floor is living room and kitchen but you couldn’t stay upstairs more than half hour without getting a headache and toddler overheating. This has bought it down to a temp we can actually be upstairs. It’s not obviously the best and perfect but significantly better than was expecting and made a real difference for us and was a good buy.

Me reporting back. Love it, although it's a lot bigger and noisier than I was expecting. It cools down the almost the whole house (2 bed terraced) within half an hour - it's fantastic. Thank you again for the recommendation!

I bought a 9000 BTU blyss one from them yesterday as I knew it would be ridiculously hot and it seems to be running no problem

I bought one, last year. Worked great for a year and now it stopped. Compressor doesn’t come on. Screwfix dragging their feet on honouring their 2 year manufacturer warranty.

Mines a Blyss. Noisy but you sleep through it easier than the heat.

Id recommend a semi decent one from Screwfix, they are more expensive at 300-400 quid but are actual AC's not just glorified fans you can add ice packs to. I've just bought this model, my first ever unit. Just a quick question to make sure this is normal when it's running. When in cooling mode and the temp is set to say 18 degrees, initially I can hear the fans running on the unit and can switch between the 3 fan speeds and hear the increase in air flow, then after approximately 1-2 minutes it sounds like something kicks in and the noise level goes up quite a bit. Do you know if this is normal for the unit?

Bought this a few weeks back and I wish I’d got one sooner!

Hi I brought this one and loving it thank you for the recommendation, just a quick question do you need to drain yours if so how often, as I keep seeing people say they have to for there’s?

Ahhh okay thank you, it hasn’t beeped red yet, for the drainage is it just the bottom tap you connect the pipe to as I couldn’t see anything in the instructions

Yeah I’ve still got it, is it just a matter of some ting it then opening the tap and draining

I picked up a portable air con unit from Screwfix after work today as I’m fed up of being sweaty at night and not being able to sleep, and it’s not even that hot outside yet! Had it on in the bedroom for an hour this evening and it’s amazing how cool the room is. So much so that I’m excited to go to bed!
