Canon - IVY 2 Mini Photo Printer

I have the Ivy 2 printer and I absolutely love it. I use it all the time.

**TLDR:** I am trying to decide on a mini photo printer for use in my personal bullet journal. I compared Canon Ivy, Canon Selphy, HP Sprocket, Instax Mini Link 3, and Lienne and am leaning toward the Canon Ivy for overall photo quality and price. Hi guys! I am currently attempting to pick out a mini photo printer to use in my bullet journal for pictures, book and movie covers, little stickers and decals, etc. I spent some time comparing some of the popular options I often see and compiled everything here in case it might be helpful to someone else :) Please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments or if you think any of the info I found isn't accurate!!! **Background About Me and What I Was Looking For:** \-i use bullet journaling as a way to combine my journaling hobby and need for a planner. I keep everything in one book and dislike having too much structure (I find having really elaborate themed months or trackers makes me not enjoy the hobby as much). I mainly have my tasks, grocery lists, reading trackers, movie reviews, travel journal, calendar, birthdays, etc. in my journal. \-I usually start off every year with a new Leuchtturm 1917 with the dotted paper in A5 and use it to make my own pages to serve as a planner throughout the year. I had an Ivy and liked it, and bought the Ivy 2 because I heard it was better (and honestly because having one device that still used micro-USB was irritating), and my Ivy 2 is much worse. The pictures look terrible - the color wrongness is much more extreme and they're very streaky. I don't know if I just got a bad one, but it's left me very unsure what to do next. I'd always heard the Ivy line was supposed to be the best of those.

I have the cannon ivy 2 and I had to jump through some hoops on the app to get the prints where I like them but it is SO fun to use once I got there. I want to get a regular printer in the future because now I’m getting addicted to making my own stuff and the cannon ivy paper is sorta pricey at around 50 cents a print.

I love my canon ivy 2, not as stellar print quality compared to the more expensive models but it’s perfect for using in my hobonichi, the 2x3 sticker sheets are the perfect size for A6

I have the Fuji instax mini link 1, canon ivy 2, and canon SELPHY CP1500. Canon ivy uses zinc paper and the colors are really off. Its only redeeming quality is that it prints on mini sticker paper, which is convenient. I recommend the instax or SELPHY printer. The SELPHY paper cost about $0.35 per photo but it’s a 4x6 so you have to cut down to size if printing a collage. Instax mini film is about $1.20 per photo.

I love my Canon Ivy. It's portable and easy to use.

I have the same issue with my Canon Ivy, no matter how many times I run the blue paper the photos come out SO blue :( definitely would not recommend.

I always adjust colors before printing to try to combat this, I have an ivy and turn up brightness contrast saturation and will color correct if needed. I find the pictures come out blue and dark if I don't.

I came here to vouch for the Canon Ivy! I but the generic Zinc sheets from Amazon, which run $23 for a 50 pack. The photos are 2" x 3" and they are pretty darn good.

I have a Canon Ivy and a Canon Selphy Square and use them both, depending on the shot and the space I have for it.

I've had a Canon Ivy for years, and also a Canon Selphy square. I tend to use the Selphy a lot because it is newer and higher quality, but the narrower Ivy photos work well if I have a little less space. I got non-proprietary cases for travel and have loved having them!

I have the Canon Ivy and highly recommend! Photo quality is better than expected. I also got the small circle sticker paper for when I want to go smaller than 2x3. I got it primarily for my planner (after much hesitation, I was so worried I wouldn't get enough use out of it) but I've found it to be so handy for printing fun photos and labels too. Ex: I went on a girl's trip and made all of us "hangover cure" bags with custom stickers to remember the weekend.

Yeah, blue. No true colors here, unfortunately. And very fuzzy/noisy pictures

Yeah, and my photos are always too blue. It's sufficient for what I want, though.

I use Canon's version, the Ivy. But I use HP paper. I read that was the best combo - still not great quality (think old Polaroid level) but allegedly best.
