The mangrid Tea pro, the Dusk has a weird treble issue that had to be corrected with a DSP cable, dont get me wrong, its still an awesome IEM and a class leader, but it all depends on how you like your treble, just to ruin your day, the other options around that price range that you should be looking for would be the Hype 4, the Aful P5+2, the simgot ET142 and the new kiwi ears planar.

Hear me out, people here recommend the Tea Pro, but I got them and really disliked them. Sharp, spiky and shouty mess (for me). If you found the blessings to sound weird,I bet the Tea pros are not gonna be that much more different. Try a darker tuning, maybe Letshouer S08 OR if ur generally fine with treble the MP145 are gonna be great, half open Planar s with a warmer sound and great detail.

I saw people saying that Astral is comparable to Tea Pro, so while I have never used Astrals I own the latter and even with no EQ it blew my other IEMs out of the water (KZ EDC Pro, Juzear Clear, TinHiFi C2 Mech Warrior, Tangu Wan'er 2, Simgot EW300, my beloved Aful Explorer). I think the jump from the cheapest EDC Pro to let's say EW300 is big and well worth it, but IMHO the jump from EW300 to TeaPro is even bigger and immediately noticeable for me personally. I guess the diminishing returns rule has exceptions, especially given how well TeaPro works with PEQ due to its drivers. Of course at the end of a day it all depends on how well said IEM works with your ears and how well can you match it with eartips, but in my case TeaPros are my endgame, I don't think I will ever buy anything more expensive.

The first thing is technicalities and soundstage. I never really paid much attention to the soundstage at all, Explorer is always described as having an "intimate" soundstage, but it never ever bothered me. I just didn't notice/think about it. When I heard TeaPro for the first time that's what hit me first. Everything was much more spacious and separated. Then it was the physicality of the sound, meaning it was very dynamic and clean, it felt like having speakers next to my ears, hard to describe but almost like there was actual "air" pumped into my ear canals, not just sound waves, it was very physical on low end. The third thing is just how detailed everything was. I experienced it before when I heard EW300 for the first time moving from C2 Mech Warrior, it felt like there was a veil removed, but this time it was much more than that. There are couple songs I use for "testing" and one of them is a K-pop song that has a moment where the sub bass just rumbles in your ears and with all my previous IEMS I could hear it, but this time I noticed the texture of that sub bass, not just the "volume" if that makes sense. Actually that was the moment I enjoyed the most, because I really like a nice, rumbly low end, and even with the default tuning I got that. That being said, I have to mention DucBloke's PEQ settings for TeaPro, I do it all the time on this sub and I will do it again. It turns TeaPro into a very, very fun IEM. Basically a basshead tier fun, but detailed and textured low end with very physical rumble. It's insanely satisfying. My only nitpick is 5800sh region where I do get some sibilance with his tuning, but that's only because I listen to a lot of idol music/anime songs, k-pop. I just have one extra preset where I removed the bump he introduced to that region. IMHO a must try for any TeaPro owner.

The only one in your list I have experience with is the supermix 4 and I agree with you. I have the Tea Pro now and it's pretty darn good for FPS gaming. The imaging is spot on to my ears. It has, what I feel, is the max sound stage an IEM can do. I even tested my friend's Monarch MK3 against them and the gaming performance was similar with the mk3 edging them out in bf2042. Both are tremendous for gaming. The mk3 is amazing at everything imo.

I've been super happy with them, and came from the zero reds (which I loved). It took a minute to get the fit (tips make a big difference) but once I got it, I was golden. I've noticed, with these, they don't always "wow" with incredible detail, at least initially. It's in the middle of the session when you really feel how much power is packed in that case. I don't know, they are just totally fun. It's like a little orchestra is jammed into a walnut shell stuffed in your ear. Sounds weird. Sounds goooood, though. I do think, one day, I'll go nuts and spend $1,000. That's the five-year plan, anyway, because who doesn't want to drop a fat bill for maaaaaybe 10% more clarity you aren't sure is even there?

Are you American is the first question, because with all the price fluctuations, I don't quite know how to give a recommendation. The Tea Pros are tried and tested goodness so that's a good option. I've never tried the Blessing 3 so I don't want to comment regarding them. The Tea Pro is an excellent IEM. It has excellent imaging and good sound stage for an IEM. I've tried quite a few IEMs thanks to Amazon's return policy in the US. I do own these IEMs: Kiwi Orchestra Lite and Quintet Raptgo x HBB Hook Aful Performer 5 The Tea Pro is by far the best IEM I've tried.

The Dunu DaVinci is tuned very similarly to the Tea Pro. Both have a 6 kHz dip in the upper midrange to remove harshness in female vocals and to make the upper midrange sound a bit more relaxing. I have the DaVinci and the Performer 7 and both of these IEMs are endgame IEMs for me. The DaVinci has more bass than the P7. The P7 has a slightly early rise for the simulated pinna gain. I listen to the DaVinci when I want more bass and a more relaxing upper midrange. I listen to the P7 when I want a somewhat more energetic upper midrange. I pick one or the other to listen to depending on my mood and the genres which I want to listen to. So for me, the DaVinci and the P7 are somewhat yin and yang IEMs to each other. I like being able to pick up a pair of IEMs to listen to depending mostly on my mood. I have never looked at the iemrankings website until hearing about this website from your post, so I don't know what to make of this website. I can say that the P7 and the DaVinci are on a similar level but with differences. The Tea Pro is potentially the third endgame that I want since I think that its tuning will fit between the DaVinci and the P7. Although the P7 is really good and punches above its price, I find it hard to believe that the P7 is better than the Tea Pro.

If you can afford the MKIV, it is truly amazing, metal shell, tuning switches that make it a very close MKII tuning or a MK3-LTD. If not that I would say the tea pro or odyssey 2 for less bass, I personally regret and truly hated the top pro, I loved the vocals but there was in fact some weird warm. And the 3D shell IMHO was a downgrade from resin builds, felt like I could crush it. Could be a pro for you if you really hate the weight of IEMs. The RSV MKII looks nice and graphs amazing but for a 5BA set, 700$ seems a little much tbh. Dawn X looks great, but the only thing to consider is if you care about bass it definitely is more balanced or reference tuning, so is the MKIV but has 2 options if you ever want to tone it up or down. PLUS, it doesn't have a lip on the nozzle so tips could get stuck in your ear every now and then. I'll end by saying that the MKIV is basically a better top pro, with rumble off it graphs almost identical, and has ESTs. Top pro has a very noticable mid bass scoop and thats what most reviewers dislike when they say it doesnt have enough bass. If you want something more affordable than the MKIV while being like the top pro I would look at the NiceHCK Rockies, for the same 500$ you get more for your money (BUT doesn't have a lot of bass, tea pro would be the better alternative).

I listen to all those genres. Xenns Mangird Tea Pros are my daily drivers (and they play those genres and anything else I've thrown at them really well) and are highly recommended by others for gaming too. If you want to do it on a shoe string, I'd recommend the KZ AM16 Balanced, although I don't find them very comfortable. Don't expect the sort of bass from either of them that you'd find in a pair of Soundcore buds, but you can always learn how to EQ bass in if you need more. Sound stage is adequate with both those models (IEMs aren't really about soundstage, compared to a set of open-back over ears (I have a set of Hififman HE400se and the soundstage on them is miles better than any IEM I've tried), imaging much better with the Tea Pros. What headphones do you use at the moment?

Haha, I mean I would say 700$ is pretty much "on the higher end" for the majority of people. Which is why as the other person mentioned, companies need to push each other, 5 drivers for 700$ is too much. When it comes to 500$+ driver count and namely branded driver count is one of the bigger determining factors, no one said it's the single biggest. The RSV mk2 is a 4 way crossover (crossovers also matter) but more times than not, the quantity of branded drivers kinda impacts the technical abilities, you can't replace pure displacement. I would say the mega5 with the sonion ESTs (well know brand), should more times than not, be better at separation and imaging.

Great IEMs! Nice haul. I got a pair of Tea Pros a couple weeks ago. The openness of their stage brings an extra HD quality to my music-sorta the opposite of the AFUL Explorers, right? Meaning, I like using the Explorers when the album I'm listening to needs more filling in and/or forgiveness. As an example, "Once in a Lifetime" (Talking Heads) did not sound great on the Tea Pros but has more cohesion through the Explorers. "Listen to the Music" (Doobie Brothers) is the opposite: the Tea Pros allow the layered guitars and bass and percussion to come through cleaner. Whereas the Explorers, while good, are a tad more claustrophobic with that track. Anyways... thanks for sharing!

ZiiGaat x HBB Arcadia gets my head bobbing every time. I own the Explorer and Tea Pro IEMs as well. While they get close, neither has the rumble necessary to handle "Brass Monkey", "Check the Rhime", "How Low", or "In Da Club." The Arcadia aces the quiz with ALL of those tracks and everything else I've thrown at them. They are the go to under $200. For the ultimate value option: QKZ x HBB is a winning ticket under $20. Enjoy!

I kinda think that if you want soundstage, you're best looking for something outside of IEMs. I really enjoy more Tea Pros for classical (currently have Tafelmusik's recording of Handel's Water Music on). I do EQ my set though. If you're into that, you could give this profile a go? Still retains some bass punch but takes a little warmth away, adds in a bit of energy around 5k, which is something I like, and a bit extra at 1250Hz, which is more for vocals than classical, but I keen the profile the same across genres. The final lowshelf is optional, and I toggle that one depending on genres and if I want to add some bass back in. |Filter|Freq (Hz)|Gain (dB)|Q| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |Peak|20|\-2.2|1.7| |Peak|44|\-3.5|0.5| |Peak|46|1.1|1.4| |Peak|220|\-2.1|0.7| |Peak|550|\-0.6|2| |Peak|5000|3|2| |Peak|3500|\-2|2| |Peak|1250|1.5|1.5| |Peak|7000|\-2|2| |Lowshelf|300|1.5|0.7 |

Yes really ! I am also very treble-sensitive, and the upper region is often my final decision factor. Even some sets which no one found too intense in the treble are for me, like the Xenns Tea Pro. For the moment, I found the best balance in 3 sets, the Yanyin Canon pro, Softears Volume S and 7Th Acoustics Supernova, they are the only 3 which had enough energy and upper brilliance without making an hole in my eardums ahah.

The OH10 bass will spoil you! I used the OH10S (gen 2) daily for well over a year before I got my Mangird Tea Pros. Whilst they are almost there with the bass quality and quantity, they're not quite. I listen to all sorts, but that includes a lot of bass heavy music. The soundstage of the OH10S are also really wide. However, the rest of the aspects of the Mangird Tea Pros completely blew the OH10S out of the water, namely the tuning, timbre of instruments and imaging. From what I've read about the Davincis, they're no slouch in those areas either. Enjoy! Do some tip rolling if you can, I generally find that helpful too.

I listen to a lot of metalcore and post-hardcore, and a little bit of metal a la Metallica, Iron Maiden etc. Mangird Tea Pros are the best IEMs I have tried period. For any and all genres. For metal, they have excellent separation of instruments and imaging/placement for live performances. Soundstage isn't that wide (my Ikko OH10S have a wider soundstage for sure), but it's totally fine. Mids are great, vocals site nicely in the mix, distorted guitars aren't too scooped out. I EQ a little more mids (\~2db around 1250Hz) in for my ears. Bass guitars and kick drums and well-separated and identifiable. For modern metal with any 808/subbass drops, the rumble is divine. Anything too v-shaped, like Ikko OH10S, just don't sound correct to me - mids are too scooped. Treble is pretty much spot on to me. Well extended but not piercing. Not trying to capture every single detail in the music and forcing it forwards for analysis. I'm not a fan of that style of tuning. I know a lot of people suggest planar drivers for metal, but I generally find them too zizzy in the treble and fatiguing to listen to. Best planar IEM I've listened to for metal are the Shozy P20s, as they're tuned warmer. I EQ them quite a bit to get them to where I like. I think maybe the latter planar releases are addressing the zizzy treble? I wonder if it comes with a soundstage penalty though. Seems to with the Shozy P20s.

I went from the EM6L > Kiwi Ears Quintet > Orchestra Lite > Tea Pro > Monarch MK3. I head a difference with every step up. I prefer the Quintet over the Tea Pro because the Tea Pro treble is darker and smoother and sounds less detailed imo. The Monarch MK3 is just absolutely amazing imo. I hear details in songs I've never heard before. The detail in every aspect is just amazing, and they're fun to listen to. They also do some black magic with soundstage and imaging. The MK3 sounds bigger than some openback headphones I've owned.

Having originally got into the hobby to improve my audio cues in Hunt Showdown; objectively changing the source of the audio in relation your ears/eardrums has an advantage. I looked over the recommendations and originally landed on the Tea Pros and could easily get better positional awareness from my DT990s on the same DAC/Amp. My new favorite for music is the MEST Mk2, cannot game with them in the same way because of unique tuning but if you want to FEEL in the game there is no replacement. While I will use the MEST almost for everything other than games . The Tea Pros have a very accurate representation of direction and distance in relation to the sound source which is great for gameplay.

Agreed: the bass with the Tea Pro is more organic and natural. It has weight but not bloat. I own a pair of Arcadia. I use them for hip-hop exclusively... Well, I did. Until I almost accidentally heard "Check the Rhime" by A Tribe Called Quest on the Tea Pro IEMs. While not quite as good as the Arcadia, the Tea Pro are darn near 90-95% close to the Arcadia's subwoofer effect. They (Tea Pro) cover a wide range of genres in my listening. Thanks for the reply!
