Same here, I had the Chu 2 and then upgraded to the Hexa. At first the bass felt a bit weak, but after some EQ it really came alive. Still super detailed and smooth, but now with better bass impact. Definitely a solid upgrade.
r/iems • Moondrop Chu 2 and Truthear Hexa Review ->Still actually the 7HZ Zero 2. Bunnys spike in the uppers are not fun, Castor pro bass is a bit odd but enjoyable at least, waner 2 is tooo vocal. Pure and hexa are mid. Pure neither has enjoyable bass or mids. Hexa is shouty. EM6L is thin. Explorer is dark asf. The only one of these I've had moments of "Oh shit" and jumping up because I thought the sound was next to me, was from the Zero 2. My collection goes into the kilobucks
r/iems • Best All Rounder IEMs under $120-$130. ->One more vote for Hexa. Very natural sound, good build quality.
r/iems • Recommend me an iem around 100 usd. ->The truthear hexa are the best neutral iem under 100$ right now
r/iems • IEMs for Yamaha P-525 digital piano ->Tons of reviewers have mentioned that the hexa competes with iems up to 150$, so I wouldn't worry too much abt that,I've never used 6.3 so I can't comment on that, the iem is actually much smaller in person, is the most comfortable truthear iem behind the gate
r/iems • IEMs for Yamaha P-525 digital piano ->That's how I felt initially but after a while I got used to it, still rocking them after 5 months
r/iems • IEMs for Yamaha P-525 digital piano ->I haven't tried the other two, but I have the hexa and based on your previous iems you're def gonna love them, I don't produce nor do I mix but I think they're gonna perform well, as good as a <100$ iem can
r/inearfidelity • Truthear HEXA vs Aful MagicOne vs Tri x HBB Kai | For Music Prod & Mixing ->Not kilobucks, but the same thing happened to me with my hexas, I kept hearing random "clipping" sounds and wondered if I burned a driver or something, then I realized it only happened with my trashy mp3 files, it just that I've never had anything that could reproduce those noises before
r/iems • IEMS so good I thought I had received a defective set ->In ear monitors. I use Truthear Hexa but there is plenty more out there at a good price. If not then I use Beyerdynamic dt770s. IEMs feel much better in terms of spacing and immersion imo.
r/simracing • Reliable good headphones for sim racing out there ? (preferably with no software) *PFA* ->Don't have experience with the expensive stuff. But I do think Hexa's are one of the best I have heard. Tho you might wanna look into Kotori Audio's Zephyr. I listened to them side by side and my god. I think it is better. But that's just my opinion.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa is Still Goated ->I am a newbie with just 2 cheap IEM's and wanted to try some for my more expensive 3rd upgrade. I made a first impressions post on reddit for a lot of IEM's I tried over at a store. I'm copy pasting it here. Yes I'm fangirling lol. " Excuse me, this will be obnoxious... OH MY FUCKING GOD. THEY ARE SO. FUCKING. GOOD. IF I HAD THE BUDGET I WOUDLNT EVEN BLINK BEFORE EMPTYING MY WALLET. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THEM. 10/10. IF I SEE SOMEONE WEARING THIS, FUCK YOU, I WILL STEAL THEM. Phew. Anyway. Here are my impressions. These are chonkers in terms of height outside your ears. I keep my IEM's in my pocket without worrying about them. I have never used any cases. These definitely need to be kept in their case while travelling. However they fit amazingly. They have a very odd shape which made me think they won't fit, but they had the best fit among all I tried. They sound super natural. They are my perfect IEM's I don't even know how anything can be better than this. And are definitely an upgrade from Truthear Hexa (my favourite except this one) and I think is definitely value for money. I say these are the best IEM's I have heard. Suprisingly even my friend liked them a lot. The sound has great "texture". The start of Bille Eilish's "watch" has a matchstick burning and it sounds PERFECT. Honestly If I speak about them more I would just be giving vague words like "AMAZING" and "PERFECT". Honestly if your budget can stretch, buy these. Or atleast test them out. If these had a waifu on the box art I would be stealing these from their warehouse. (And yes I do think having a waifu on the box makes IEM's sound better, got a problem?) Hand's down the best thing to exist for me. Though it's a chonker so makes me sad I can't bring it with me everywhere. Oh also, the wire was meh. Definitely pretty average cable (had the same quality as tanchjim 4u which is a 4.6k IEM) I say 8/10 overall just coz of practicality of using them in daily life and taking them with you. But sound is easy 11/10. "
r/iems • Is there a better Hexa? ->My personal rankings for stuff I've heard. I'm a neutral/neutral bright guy. (My post on reddit goes somewhat in depth on all of these, sadly I'm not very technical in my language) Kotori Audio Zephyr (Duh) Truthear Hexa Tangzu Yu Xuan Ji (might be too bright for some but easily looks the prettiest by a *BIG* margin) Truthear Gate (My current set, would upgrade to one of the options in the list in a few months) Tanchjim 4u (Bang for buck) Truthear x Crinacle blue 2 (tachjim 4u has better value) Aful Magicone (very similar to hexa) Moondrop May (A default starter set for almost everyone regardless of taste.) Letshouer s08 (not my taste, great value, premium for the price) Letshouer dz4 (not my taste, great value) Moondrop Chu 2 (My previous set that are lying around somewhere) Tangzu x hbb Xuan Nv (just because of the fit) Kotori Audio Vampire I'll check out your YouTube!
r/iems • Is there a better Hexa? ->so true, it doesn't have no bass, it's tasteful
r/iems • Truthear Hexa is Still Goated ->under 100$ you just get the truthear hexa
r/iems • Best Neutral IEM For Every Price Point? ->the paint of the aria 2's especially like to chip and bubble over time and look horrendous so keep that in mind if aesthetics are important to you producing + listening can be tough cause you typically want a flatter more neutral set for that purpose. the friction happens if you prefer to have a funner signature over something neutral. truthear hexa are nice and neutral but ppl blind buying them for the glowing reviews to end up dissapointe they sound boring due to their flatter curve
r/iems • Want iems for mixing/producing and casual listening ->truthear hexa are the neutral set you want s12's are a nice set but not neutral
r/iems • Neutral iem advice ? (Max 150) ->'I'd love something neutral' truthear hexa easily, still the best neutral set under 100$ and aria 2 aren't a neutral set
r/iems • Suggestions for the best 100$/€ pick ->if you want neutral under 100$ hexa is still the gold standard 'as artist intended' doesn't mean you'll necessarily like neutral. very commonly the opposite case lol. but if you have actually tried neutral audiogear and liked it then yeah, hexa's are great. People 'wanting' a neutral set and disliking hexa cause it sounds flat isn't a hexa problem, thats a beginner audiophile problem thinking neutral is the shit cause they see that word flung around in audiophile forums
r/iems • Best flat / as the artist intended / neutral / unboosted (you know what i mean) IEM under a $100? ->if you want neutrality under 100$ the hexa are the way to go pure is nice too, though it is much warmer with more relaxed treble versus hexa so thats there if you want it. hexa having more clarity and abit of brightness in the treble but both still considered neutral
r/iems • Flat, neutral IEM's? ->if you're familiar with openbacks at all the hexa's would be sort of like the more clinical hd560s and the pure would sort of be something like the warmer hd6xx. both generally considered neutral but with slightly differing but still noticeable characteristics. if we were to more finely categorize each of their tuning hexa would be neutral-bright leaning as in slightly more boosted treble and pure would be warm-neutral, more boost in the lower mids and generally darker treble
r/iems • Flat, neutral IEM's? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

honestly it depends on what games you want to play tbh, is it competitve fps or rpg and so on. Regardless i would not recommend the truthear hexa, it lacks bass so there would be a lack of impact.
r/iems • Which one is the best for ps5 gaming? ->Probably the truthear pure/hexa, pure is a bit warmer sounding than hexa (has more lower mids, less highs). If I were to buy and endgame iem, it would be the Truthear Pure with EQ.
r/iems • View on Reddit →truthear hexa are the neutral set you want s12's are a nice set but not neutral

r/iems • View on Reddit →Yea, the Hexa has a just a bit of bass and has a bit more treble than neutral making it less tilted than what is natural/neutral for most. That makes it sound "analytical" which is good for some genres. The pure might actually be better.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Yep, the Hexa is much closer to -1db/Oct DF. Thats whats considered neutral by msot atp. The bass is elevated, but it is not gonna be percieved like that in most cases because of the occuslion effect that happens with iems.
r/iems • View on Reddit →I won both the Hexa and the Pure. I love the Pure a bit more than the Hexa. Why? The bass performance really fits my ears. it's not too much, it's not less, it's just the right amount for me. The treble is also more pleasing for me. It's so perfect for my ears, the only thing that I don't like is they made the shell a bit big, but it fits my ears and its confortable just like the Hexa.
r/iems • View on Reddit →One more vote for Hexa. Very natural sound, good build quality.
r/iems • View on Reddit →7hz, Truthear, Mangird, Dunu. Lots of different options at different price points, and every year the tech gets cheaper/better implemented so an $80 IEM at this point is pretty close to a $300 IEM from 5 years ago. Truthear Hexa is my go-to recommendation, has a really natural presentation and good bass.
r/me_irl • View on Reddit →This is what I would use https://preview.redd.it/dh3ugge54vgf1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=bcf0198659e2eb9bd5e221dd474cc81b8dada829 Its closer to jm1 with harman 2018 filters, something we understand as neutral for the "average" person.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Tons of reviewers have mentioned that the hexa competes with iems up to 150$, so I wouldn't worry too much abt that,I've never used 6.3 so I can't comment on that, the iem is actually much smaller in person, is the most comfortable truthear iem behind the gate

r/inearfidelity • View on Reddit →stop over thinking. The Hexa is legendary (pretty sure it is now even with the Pure release) This is THE neutral IEM under 300usd(?) Don't think anything really compares. The mixed reviews are biased towards all the "bassier" or "typically fun" sound. The term thrown around is "boring" Hexa sounds great for separation, clarity and imaging. You're going from Zero 2 to Hexa...it is a straight upgrade. UNLESS you expect thumpy in your chest bass.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Next expensive set of IEMs I have are the Truthear Hexa, which might be an upgrade for some, but also a downgrade for others since the Hexa have less bass. The Wan'er 2 are amazing, but I own both a set of Moondrop x Crinacle Dusks as well as a set of Softears Volume S, which both are much better than the Wan'er, or at least they are to my ears. It just depends on your preference. But generally speaking, sets that are significantly more expensive will most likely be better than the Wan'ers
r/iems • View on Reddit →Actually the Hexa are noticeably cleaner and has better instrument separation than the REDs, it even feels strange at first being able to hear everything in the tracks, so I'd say they are the "true audiophile experience" and the REDs are more fun sound in comparison. The Moondrop Aria 2 seems like a nice choice as well. I haven't tried them but I have a good impression of its specific Dynamic Driver it uses. The same DD is used on the Moondrop MOCA which I own and it certainly delivers good performance despite Bluetooth limitations, so a wired pair would definitely sound great. Last week my Moondrop ROBIN (same Dynamic Driver as the Aria 2) arrived and I'm kinda confused about the fact it outperforms the Truthear Zero REDs in technicalities.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Depends on what you consider neutral, I would say the truthear Hexa or Truthear Pure are currently the closest iems to that, which is a tilted DF.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Just EQ some bass to the Hexa... There you go, a perfect iem. With all seriousness, EQ is the way and the Hexa is a really good base for that.
r/iems • View on Reddit →the paint of the aria 2's especially like to chip and bubble over time and look horrendous so keep that in mind if aesthetics are important to you producing + listening can be tough cause you typically want a flatter more neutral set for that purpose. the friction happens if you prefer to have a funner signature over something neutral. truthear hexa are nice and neutral but ppl blind buying them for the glowing reviews to end up dissapointe they sound boring due to their flatter curve
r/iems • View on Reddit →I didn't realize how big the nozzles were on the Hexa until I was fitting tips on. They just looked odd. I got them in my ears (no fit issues, yay genetics) then I looked up the size. I was quite surprised! Interesting tuning (per Axel's measurements) I'm not so sure about the Pure. I'm past the point of just picking the "next best thing" I don't find the Hexa boring...in fact, it's refreshing among all the various "shaped" IEMs. The neutral (w/a slight bass boost) definitely struck the right balance for me.
r/iems • View on Reddit →I dont even consider the thing i mentioned "collecting" - it is just a upgrade path. I could justify buying multiple mid-fi to higher-end iems with different sound signatures and i could probably enjoy having them simultaneously. Ever since i got my blessing 2s, i was unable to listen to my hexas for more than 10 minutes - they are just that inferior. Thats why i cant imagine enjoying a collection like this.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Many of Crin's graphs show that drop at 150 to 200 hz where I don't always see it on other charts like the Superreview chart above. I've wondered if it's the B&K test rig he uses or the associated mic, or if he's just getting better resolution on it. It could be the crossover area to the dynamic driver. In any case, it looks pretty appealing. I usually EQ the Hexa with a little bass, and this looks like it takes care of it.

r/iems • View on Reddit →I can definitely tell the difference between my Chu II and Buds 2, to my Arias and Hexas. I had a friend with an Tanchjim Origin and I couldn't tell the difference much, really minimal.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Peeps here touched on it. A GREAT IEM now...will still be a GREAT IEM in 20 years (if the unit lasts that long) Koss and Sennheiser each have headphone models and designs that have been popular and even revered for over 40 years. That said...IEMs like Truthear Hexa and/or Mega5est will have staying power because of their reputation at their "hyped" peak. I think AFUL Explorer will be one of those IEMs that will be talked about for a long time. It has a very warm, smooth, relaxed tuning (treble) that is not common at that price point. Am sure there are fans of kilobuck or expensive mid-fi IEMs that have their favorites that they'll swear will stand the test of time. The IEM space is quite young still. Yes, musicians and artists have been using IEMs for a long time...but for those of us using IEMs for music/gaming it is still a young development. Good luck with your collection journey. Consider using a watch box to store and display your IEMs (if you are into that)

r/iems • View on Reddit →Tanchjim Bunny under 50usd Truthear Pure or Hexa (depends on preferred tilt) under 100usd.
r/iems • View on Reddit →'I'd love something neutral' truthear hexa easily, still the best neutral set under 100$ and aria 2 aren't a neutral set
r/iems • View on Reddit →The Hexa is pretty light on bass, but still within yhe prefernece bounds. Overall it is a birght neutral sound signature which might not be ideal for certain genres. Also there is a possibility that you got a broken hexa which i got as well - it had even less bass and less upper treble. Another possibility is that your music is just boring and the gear itself makes it fun...
r/iems • View on Reddit →Same here lol I started off with the 7hz ZERO 2 last January then months later made the jump and ordered the Truthear Zero RED and a week later ordered the Truthear Hexa which ended up arriving before the REDs 😂
r/iems • View on Reddit →If you're having problems with the W1, try the Spinfit Neo. I also have the hexa, and I used the W1 SS size with it before. I don't have that many problems with it, but I want a deeper fit, and the Spinfit neo provided me with that.
r/iems • View on Reddit →take the time to watch a few "how to EQ" videos. It'll be helpful. Just raise the Lower bass shelf... slightly. Takes the guess work out of "which band to choose" Also...I like using a flange style tip for my Hexa. Definitely a deeper insertion (which might be uncomfortable for some) huge improvement on the bass response for me.
r/iems • View on Reddit →I own the Hexa and now own a Pure. The Hexa is bright sounding. More detailed, wide soundstage, balanced, and fast bass performance. It's a smooth but lean sounding set. I love both sets, I've been using my Pure with the W1, and it still doesn't disappoint.
r/iems • View on Reddit →That's how I felt initially but after a while I got used to it, still rocking them after 5 months
r/iems • View on Reddit →Most of what you have said makes sense to me, but while comparing the Hexa and the B2 where both of them are hybrid iems with almost the same configuration, how come is the B2 more detailed? Is it the drivers themselves that are different? Or is it a complete placebo? Or perhaps is it caused just by the difference in FR? Or is it caused by the difference in how each driver is tuned in the configuration? A combination of all of these above? These are the kind of questions I am asking. Also thanks for a response like this, this is exactly what i was hoping for.
r/iems • View on Reddit →if you want neutrality under 100$ the hexa are the way to go pure is nice too, though it is much warmer with more relaxed treble versus hexa so thats there if you want it. hexa having more clarity and abit of brightness in the treble but both still considered neutral
r/iems • View on Reddit →Not really, the Truthear Hexa for example is much closer to that.
r/iems • View on Reddit →Having an iem with a bad signature all across the board like the ew300 is worse than having a (maybe) relatively bass light neutral iem (Hexa/Pure) - it is very easy to EQ in a tasteful bass boost, OP has a dongle dac/amp with PEQ as well so thats not a problem. Hexa was my first iem, I loved it.
r/iems • View on Reddit →go for the hexa, it will make your mastering sound with the loudest subs and kicks you will find in a long time, why? because the headphone itself has a lack of body, a lack that simulates the sound of a cheap 5 dollar bluetooth speaker, if you are able to make such a speaker sound with very good bass, then your song will be able to make the walls vibrate in a club without any problem, and that, evidently in that genre mother, is a sign of quality.
r/iems • View on Reddit →honestly it depends on what games you want to play tbh, is it competitve fps or rpg and so on. Regardless i would not recommend the truthear hexa, it lacks bass so there would be a lack of impact.
