Coming from big bulky kz stuff, the simgot ew300 are smaller and feel pretty comfortable. The housing is entirely metal and technically hypo-allergenic (the silver one, the black variants peel over time) They do pickup fingerprints and oils a bit more than other IEMs but it also wipes clean much more easily.

I would go for something with a more allrounder type signature. hexa are quite neutrally tuned which isn't really recommended on a blind buy as many new to the hobby could find that signature flat and boring, especially for something like DnB something like the simgot ew300 would do well for that genre and just have a generally more widely appealing signature

I compared a bunch of IEMs at audio shops. While I don't remember which IEMs sounded brighter to me, I can recommend the Letshuoer S8 for its clarity and balance of bass and treble. I listen to a lot of EDM and pop (US, K-pop, J-Pop, Eastern European, Latin/Spanish), and one of the things I compared was the, for lack of a better term, drop in Zedd's Spectrum ("we'll RUN where lights won't chase us"). The S08s had that IT factor in Spectrum, and the sounds did not bleed together. I found it was similar to the Simgot EW300, but I chose the S08 because it wasn't as bass heavy, felt more balanced, and I presumed I wouldn't be as fatigued listening to them. That being said, I do not like my music too bright. I think the S12 might have been brighter than the S08, but I felt the S08 had a crisp, clear sound that accentuated what I was looking for. I'm told my preference is V-shaped.

Simgot EW300 is great and so is the Letshuoer S08. I'll share what I wrote about it somewhere else. >I've tested both the Simgot EW300s and Letshuoer S08s in person, along with many other units that were more expensive. I'm also pretty new to the IEM scene and I bought my first pair this past summer. Both units sounded very similar to me. I'm not familiar with all the terminology, so I'll describe them the best I can. >They both had decent 3D effects with clarity. I liked being able to hear distinction between the instruments and the vocals. One of the things I looked for was the "It" factor when listening to the drop/chorus in Spectrum by Zedd. I suppose this might be the fabled "eargasm", but it basically feels like my heart dropping from striking the right chord. Both units were capable of that "It" factor. Both have solid, metal builds (EW300 is heavier than S08), and I didn't experience sibilence (harsh hissing sound) from either. I get sick of treble easily (treble sensitive?), and I felt that I was more likely to get annoyed by the EW300 than the S08, so I chose the S08. **I think you can't go wrong with either the EW300 nor the S08.** EW300 is a tad heavier than S08, but they're both made of metal and feel sturdy. I'm super happy with my S08s.

Of all the IEMs I have, for some reason, the one I like the most is the Aful Explorer. I also have the Kefine Klean, Kefine Delci Ae, Sivga Que, Kiwi Ears Airoso, Lesthouer S08, Simgot EW300, Hidizs MP143, and MP145. All of these IEMs have a somewhat neutral, warm signature, but they all have excellent, very different sounds. I recommend the Aful Explorer, it's the best without a doubt. I won't tell you about the Hidizs MP145 because they're too big and can have adjustment problems if you have a narrow ear canal. Another thing I recommend is that you play with different types of cables and eartips, they can make a difference.

Usually, iems are pretty sensitive to eq, so you could always try that before jumping into a new pair. That said, ARTTI T10 or the Simgot EW300's in a similar price range are both pretty good. I prefer a v-shape signature for rock in general, and these two hit above their price point. There's also the Kiwi Ears KE4 which I've read are tuned to be like listening to speakers, but I've never heard them and they're more than twice the price of the others. I currently run Moondrop Aria 2's and Moondrop Robin's (tws) as my daily driver iem's and love them both, but they're also a step up in price a little bit (~$100). The Aria 2's I'm not convinced are upgrades to the T10 or EW300, but I already have them and think they sound great so I'm not worried about it. The Robins as wireless iems are so dope though. Super happy with them. I've also found that tips can make a pretty big impact on iems, and both comply foam tips and spring fit tips have made a huge impact in sound quality by improving the seal. All that said, sound is pretty subjective. Sometimes you just have to find something that you like more than you dislike, and be happy with it. It's an expensive rabbit hole. I'm lucky that I grabbed a pair of Fostex TH-X00's about 10 years ago that ended my search for headphones by being everything I wanted at a price I was ok with. Even after listening to $1000 Focal cans nothing I heard I thought justified a $600 price increase. They were a little bit better, but not $600 better. To me. Hopefully you can find a pair you're happy with sooner than later! It's fun, but as seen on the iem and headphone subreddits, you can end up buying an awful lot of pairs searching for what you want and iems in particular are near impossible to test before buying. Just read reviews, learn what sound signature you prefer (v-shape, neutral, etc) and hope for the best.

I agree. Ive tried s08 and aether and some other with microplanars like simgot ew300 or kiwi ears canta and i have returned them all. But the PRX was a very nice surprise. Just a little bit bright in the upper frequencies but it smooths over time. I put a cotton mesh infront of the noozle filter and tames the upper treble a bit. No doubt its a better tuning than aether or s08 which sounds muddy in comparison in the mid lows

My first pair was some Fiio pair (o think the F3?) that everyone raved about for gaming and sound quality compared to how cheap it was....was one of THE WORST sounding hollow tin pieces of shit ive ever heard lol. I swore off all IEMs after that thinking they could never compete with "real headphones" but then I got pretty damn lucky; there was a pricing error on Amazon and I bought 2 pairs of EW300 DSP for me and my ex for $8 each (was supposed to be $80) and damn were they actually pretty fucking close, just had weird highs that I started hearing and didnt like them after 5 months, so I gave them to my niece and bought myself a used pair of 7Hz timeless and just cleaned them, absolutely my favorites so far. I fear this new hobby of mine is going to cost me more than my ex ever did, which she made off with $1000s worth of shit. Oh well I got better headphones/earbuds now 1 point for me; 3450 for her

It's hard to get IEMs to sound as good as over ears since there's much bigger drivers. I tried some Fiio pair that people recommended, but that sounded so holo and empty when anyone was speaking, but I spent money on Simgot Ew300 dsp and they're probably as good as I'll get for my ears. Nearly identical sound signature to the tygr 300rs where it's good enough bass and clarity in the highs and mids without it being piercing

I have tried both the delci and ew300 (hbb edition if that counts) and now owns the delci. If you want bass, i would go for the ew300. Delci does have bass, but more subbass boom, so it kinda just stays low (position). If my memory serves me right, ew300 has more bass quantity like the whole region. And one more substantial point, i find the delci better in term of soundstage. Otherwise everything else is just ok, delci mid is slightly sharp which is more fitting for female vocal. I dont think you are going wrong with any but for me, the main selling point is soundstage, hence i choose the delci.

if you want to save some money, you cant really go wrong with simgot ew300 dsp, with its built in dac. It has two nozzles you can switch between, one being meant more for gaming, but I don't use it since I dont really game alot. Its a v shaped iem, but not as intense as others in my opinion. The soundstage and imaging (so you can tell which direction sounds are coming from ingame) is pretty good. If you want to stretch your budget a bit more, you could check out simgot em6l, simgot supermix 4 or kiwiears orchestra lite, with a dongle like fiio ja11 or fiio ka11. However, do take note that eartips affect sound as much if not more than dacs. This ones subjective because I would say to prioritise comfort and fitting first, and you really cant judge it easily unless you actually get it. I would say be more reserved with this first and see if you are fine with the stock eartips. This is all my opinion, so you may want to ask more people before jumping to your decision. I'm still relatively new to the hobby compared to others.

Brought the chu 2 a month ago and it impressed me a lot, coming from oppo enco buds 2. So I returned it, saved more money, did my research and ended up with two choices - hexa or ew300. The first thing that impressed me with the chu 2 was the bass. The hexa had lower bass according to everyone. So I brought the ew300 hbb edition. Now here's the problem. It sounds bad. It is definitely better than my enco buds but the price increase from chu 2 is not justified. I cant compare the chu 2 and the ew300 as its been a month since I returned the chu 2. The bass is bloated. Mid bass punch is average. Overall presentation is not coherent. The recessed mids and piezoelectric treble timbre is very much audible. So I brought a dac - Audiocular d07 (cx31993) and still the sound seems same. Only this time, I max out at 30 volume instead of usual 80 without the dac. Can I do anything to improve this like buying a better dac or waiting to get adapted to it. Or should I just return this and get the hexa. I can live with lower bass but can't bear any bloated bass.

I currently own the FH3, which was my first IEM bought around 3 years ago. Recently gotten back into this hobby with Simgot EW300 and Letshuoer S08 in my collection. So I can only give you my experience with these 3 To me the FH3 sounds neutral-ish with slight bass boost. It can rumble sure, but you need a really good seal to notice them. Mid bass is slightly lacking the thump. Vocals are fairly forward and balanced. Treble is toned down making it not that sparkly. For accessories it comes packed with eartips so you can find your ideal fit. The pouch is decent and cable is nice but I wished it had a 4.4 option because when I swapped them to one, I can hear the details slightly better and soundstage opens up a little. One thing that stood out is definitely the fit. They are really comfortable! Passive noise isolation isn't as great (but so as the other two). Not to say the EW300 and S08 isn't comfortable, but I can listen with FH3 for a longer period without soreing my ear canals. Probably because they have smaller nozzle? Compare to my other two IEMs. To me EW300 and S08 sounds wayyy better. EW300 has better clarity and sounds more exciting. Some sibilance and female vocals can be a bit shouty (adding a foam to the silver nozzle really helps with the issue). S08 sounds warmer, treble is laid back but since the detail retrieval is so good I can still hear micro details unlike FH3 (had to really focus to hear them) All these are bassy according to many reviews, though not to basshead level. But I definitely prefer the slam on the newer models. TLDR: The newer models sounds "clearer" and has better bass Hope this helps! ☺️

If you like solid bass and decent mids that don't sound like they're coming out of a tin can, the simgot ew300 have been my favorite so far. Bought some so that I don't wear over ear headphones majority of the time when playing anything and have it pushing on my hair. Hey, yes, sorry, I totally forgot to respond here ! I got it, and it is very very good. I had some IEMs like the IE600 from Sennheiser, pr the Mangird Top from Xenns, so some very expensive sets. The EW300 is sincerely good. As good as some 150/200€ sets for me. It is a full, energetic sound, very dynamic. For comparison the EA500lm is brighter, has a little bit more detail, but is more fatiguing and sound less natural to me. The EW300 has beautiful vocal, god treble, and very present bass.

Here's my audiophile journey so far from the chu 2 to the ew300 to the hexa. **Moondrop chu 2 :** Bought the moondrop chu 2 about 2 months ago. Impressed me a lot coming from oppo enco buds 2. The bass was punchy. Everything was more clear. More details in song. I did found it to be a bit sibilant and fatiguing. This must mean my preference is the V shape signature but with a little lower treble than the chu 2. So I got greedy, decided to upgrade and returned the chu 2. Also, the chu 2 were pretty mediocre for gaming. Too much bass made hearing footsteps hard. I play CODM a lot (one of those ranked sweats), although gaming is not my priority here. **Simgot EW300 :** I was first looking for something with lower treble. Found the tangzu waner to fit my needs. Waner 2 was releasing at that time. Decided to wait for it and did a lot a research at that time while also saving money. Choice then became truthear zero red and later decided to go for the ew300 or the hexa after various reviews. The hexa had supposedly lower bass as per everyone in this subreddit and the bass in the chu 2 was one thing that impressed me a lot. So EW300 was the way. And after a month of returning the chu 2, I finally bought the EW300 HBB edition. Had a lot of hopes. and..................... It was a **TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT**. The bass was not punchy and was too fast, the mids were recessed and muddled in busy tracks (most indian songs are pretty busy imo). The piezoelectric timbre and peaky treble gave it a somewhat unnatural sound, lacking coherency, especially noticeable at higher volume. At first I gave it sometime to adapt. After 3 days, brought audiocular d07 dac (CX30993 MAX97220) fearing that the iem maybe underpowered since it has a micro planar. Nothing changed, other than the fact that now I max out at 30% volume instead of the 80% without the dac. EW300 has its positives. The build, cable and looks felt very premium. It was very good for gaming also. Locating footsteps was very easy. It did suffer a bit when a lot was going on and the bass was still on the higher side for competitive gaming imo. Now I was confused about what sound signature I actually liked lol. As a last resort, tried to exchange the ew300 for the hexa. The thought was 'I can live with boring neutral sound with no bass but can't bear this muddled, recessed mids and metallic treble timbre'. Here's the thing. I bought these iems from headphonezone which is the best store for iems in India. They have this policy of one time exchange only and I had used it with the chu 2. As a student, 7400 inr (85 usd) was a lot and I can't save it one more time. So I emailed them if they could give me one more exchange chance and they agreed. If u are from india, just buy from them. Conceptkart and audiostore have bad customer care apparently. Else buy from linsoul and pray for no customs. So, I returned the ew300 and bought the hexa. **Truthear hexa :** Didn't expect the hexa to impress me as it doesn't have good bass and V-shape signature. and.................... it freaking impressed me, **A LOT.** Everything was way cleaner and sounded right. Holy details in every song I hear. Handled busy tracks like a champ. Bass was just enough, it did lack that exciting punch a bit (maybe I am not much of a bass head after all). Treble didn't felt peaky at all, maybe at high volumes (still way better than the chu 2). All this after hearing it for like, an hour. Will be using these for a long time to come. Extremely happy that I exchanged the ew300 for these gem of an iem. Coming to gaming, again it performed very well in busy gunfights. U can easily separate the footsteps, gunfights etc. The only downside I felt was the soundstage. Its not bad but ew300 performs little better in that regard. With the hexa, I can hear the footsteps and gunfights but can't locate it easily. The ew300 does this effortlessly. If u are looking for a gaming only iem, buy the ew300 and eq down the bass (for competitive only). **TL;DR : There's a reason the hexa is still the number one in this subreddits ranking under 100 usd. Don't underestimate the so called 'boring' neutral sound of the hexa. At least give it a try if u are new to this.** Thanks for all the help I received from this subreddit. Special thanks to dr\_wtf guy. U helped me a lot brother, keep up the good work.

Another thing I recommend is that you play with different types of cables and eartips, they can make a difference.

thats what a warm set with a more mellow treble response will sound like if you wanted more clarity then thats more what the hexa's are for. if you want something more lively sounding but still balanced then theres simgot ew300

Even though the Defiant uses 0.78mm cables, the cable sockets on the Defiant actually are QDC connectors which have been recessed to be flush with the shells. QDC connectors have a history of cracking. I like the build quality of the EW300. I have never seen the Hexa or the T10 or the S08.

I don't know why you gave this weird price range, but the ones you mentioned aren't really what I'd recommend. Since you are ready to spend $80, get the Simgot EW300.

Best value??? Hmmm... 🤔 Well, from my relatively small sampling of IEMs between $20 and $250, I would offer two options: 1. Best value based on overall sound performance? Truthear HEXA is my personal choice. Yes, as many point out, they can be clinical sounding to some. Fair. They are not overly musical. But, put on some Acoustic tracks, Steely Dan, The Eagles and the like and you will have a helluva listening session. 2. The DSP version of the Simgot EW300 is the best value for the money in my view. They are very versatile and, if you have a USB-C device, the EW300 are plug and play easy. Those and the DSP version of the MoonDrop Chu 2 are my go to recommendation for friends and fam wanting to try IEMs for the 1st time.

Have you tried changing the nozzles and tips? You get different tuning with different nozzles. Plus there are small foam filters to put in. Try experimenting with those too... I have the hbb version (judging by the picture, you do too) and I like mine
