Carepod. Super easy to clean
r/BuyItForLife • do all humidifiers suck?? need recs for one that'll actually survive the winter ->Hi, I've owned both the Canopy and the Carepod humidifiers, and I much prefer the Carepod. In my experience, the Canopy doesn't release as much moisture as I'd like, and I'm not a fan of their subscription model for the filters. I've been using the Carepod for about two months now and have been pretty happy with it. It's very easy to clean, but the only downside is that it doesn't have a humidity sensor, so it runs continuously, putting out moisture all day/night until the water runs out. If you're in between the two the carepod is the way to go.
r/Buyingforbaby • dishwasher safe humidifier ->Carepod, easiest to clean
r/BuyItForLife • I'm looking for a humidifier for my small bedroom. I'm willing to pay more for ease of use and best quality. ->I vote for carepod. I've had the two smaller sizes and both work well. I use the smaller plastic one on the bedside table and the slightly larger stainless steel one I had across the room when sleeping because it was so strong (this is different times btw, I never needed both!). I've had canopy- and it did get moldy. Maybe I should have washed it more than monthly when the new filters came though. Carepods are sooo easy to take apart and clean, every part is cleanable. Carepods are also very strong, like anything above the lowest setting is usually too strong unless someone is really congested.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Best humidifier for bedroom? ->I'll take the opposite side. I'm team canopy. Washes great in the dishwasher, but frequent washing isn't really an issue bc the fan runs until the well is dry to avoid mold/mildew. Tried the carepod and hated how large and bulky it was (looked like a crock pot) and hated that you had to refill it when it was still like 1/3 full because of how it was designed. And the arm that draws the water up felt really fragile and easily broken (which I've subsequently seen comments on). It went back after one use, and we've been happy canopy users for about two years now.
r/Buyingforbaby • dishwasher safe humidifier ->Sorry, edited to read I returned the carepod :)
r/Buyingforbaby • dishwasher safe humidifier ->I have the carepod and it is by far the best humidifier i've ever had. The only plastic part that touches the water is the arm that hangs inside and it is super easy to clean. The stainless steel bucket and inside lid can go in the dishwasher which is awesome.
r/EcoFriendly • Humidifier Solutions? ->Carepod. Easy to clean, you can literally boil most of the pieces and we just use rubbing alcohol on the part you can't remove. So easy.
r/NewParents • Recommendations for a humidifier ->I have this and it's great to clean, but the wand inside that activates the mist isn't working well. I looked online and it's not an uncommon problem, so just beware. You can replace the wand for $30, but it just sucks that it's not working properly out of the box when the humidifier is so expensive.
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • BWT I finally found a Humidifier suitable for 🗽 ->I'm glad you haven't! I'm going to have to reach out to their customer service. I love the concept sm

We love our Carepod. It is easy to clean and works flawlessly. That said, always use filtered water in it or any other humidifier to extent its life.
r/BuyItForLife • Best humidifier recommendations? ->Carepod because you can sterilize it with boiling water. All of the others get moldy very quickly and are a pain to clean
r/Monstera • View on Reddit →I don't even know if it's bifl (maybe closer since the wands are consumable) but it is the one thing that, to me, justifies the wild ass premium since it is actually viable to clean and sanitize without making me want to tear my hair out.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have been trying to answer this question myself. We had a Honeywell that was impossible to clean, and wasn't dishwasher safe. Those brands are the top 2 that meet your criteria. So you're looking for a unicorn basically. There's another one that has some dishwasher safe parts and very open body that's easy to clean. I owned it, but I found that it doesn't last 12 hours at the high setting, which meant our baby's room ran out and went dry before she woke up. So we returned it. https://www.amazon.com/Crane-Humidifier-Optional-Function-Essential/dp/B07X279GWZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_vs_ar?crid=1CSJFEQDQ095A&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.YFrEQi4RKkaNKi1vovB8DzP3RmrCu3-Xa_qU7mhz5LaQL5bM5flloFvU1JnTiVQNX9p3vaP7XKVkMDawXXGiE__0F7zBAZa54iytu1DDKOtONFVRsMp2_GD6VRsZnJWwLRJax_3snHOp2tex287FgiYujToIMu_l-kpVMf6gsaEh8aN3tbnCDzpHmxTSkpXB-BnYUKKCYhXBRkpyBDvoDQ.W7z8MVyDhNICS2bStfNXcwVfXigAMcTYM-oHCkEzYcc&dib_tag=se&keywords=1+Crane+Diffuser+and+Top+Fill+Ultrasonic+Air+Humidifiers&qid=1738892264&sprefix=1+crane+diffuser+and+top+fill+ultrasonic+air+humidifiers%2Caps%2C101&sr=8-2 I'm currently testing the carepod and canopy. The carepod doesn't have a filter need, but it requires distilled water, and I cannot stand the idea of buying water and using over 1 gallon of it per day. Even a brita filter. The whole point is I wanted to save money by avoiding a filter. So on to canopy. The bedside canopy one is too small and also runs out before the night ends. So we bought the larger one and we're waiting for it to arrive. Apparently I'm willing to spend a lot of money on a humidifier. Or at least I am if it works..
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →We got a carepod recently. It's expensive so so much easier to clean wow. We are using Brita filtered water and it's been ok.
r/nycparents • View on Reddit →I just bought this one today. Got it for $363 with a coupon. What sold me is that it is stainless steel and the timer can be set so that it only works for a few hours per night. I don't need it to rain.
r/Humidifiers • View on Reddit →Just FYI, carepod is an ultrasonic humidifier which is awful for indoor air quality, especially if you're not using distilled water (which can be pricey and inconvenient). It will basically spew back anything that is in the water or the filter/machine back into your air. You've gotten a lot of good suggestions in this thread, but I would also add saline rinses as an option. I monitor all my indoor air quality stats and it's very difficult to get the humidity up consistently. I've gotten better results with regular nasal rinses and lots of moisturizer on my skin than trying to increase the humidity in the space.
r/EcoFriendly • View on Reddit →We returned the carepod. It was too expensive for me to comfortably use tap water and our cheaper humidifier from before either of these two left white dust everywhere when we used tap water. So I much preferred the canopy, even though it needs filters. The larger canopy lasted all night, a little longer even. We liked it so much that we kept the smaller one for our room for when we get sick. No regrets, definitely recommend.
r/Buyingforbaby • View on Reddit →+1 on carepod - have two kids and need humidifiers and we've tried so many different ones and they all have impossible to clean areas that eventually mildew. Can't help it. Carepod you can throw the tank in the dishwasher and let it rip, and the other parts are so easy to deal with. fsa/HSA eligible, too, which is nice. I swear to god I'm not affiliated with the product, just have had like 4 different sets before stumbling on this one.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Echoing this, it's one of few things that feels like it justifies its price relative to the quality of life improvements it comes with. And the wands are consumable so if it starts running poorly you can replace that one bit, so it feels less disposable overall.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Got the carepod and it's very easy to clean, the main parts go in the dishwasher you only need to hand clean one piece
r/Humidifiers • View on Reddit →Little late to the party, but I will say I've had my Carepod for 1 year and 3 days *exactly* and two days ago guess what? Yup, stopped working. They have a 1 year warranty 🫠I'm going to attempt the support chat tomorrow to see if I can't get a replacement wand thing 🤞 It worked really well but maybe not much of a BIFL item 😬
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Here to say - LOVE my Carepod. I hate cleaning humidifiers and this is the easiest to clean I've ever owned. I've had for 3 years. Not a fan of the canopy because of the filters needed.
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →I have this and it's great to clean, but the wand inside that activates the mist isn't working well. I looked online and it's not an uncommon problem, so just beware. You can replace the wand for $30, but it just sucks that it's not working properly out of the box when the humidifier is so expensive.
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →We use the CarePod humidifier because cleaning it doesn't make me want to break it against a wall.
r/Minneapolis • View on Reddit →I have this too and it is 100% a game changer. I got it as a Christmas gift but I might buy another one for our living room. It is that good!
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →Wow! I didn't expect making this thread would lead to anything, but here it is! The Livatro 3L Warm Mist Stainless Steel Humidifier [https://www.livatro.com/products/3l-warm-mist-stainless-steel-humidifier](https://www.livatro.com/products/3l-warm-mist-stainless-steel-humidifier) is exactly what I'm looking for! No plastic (even the lid is stainless steel, one like in premium rice cookers), warm steam (so no foreign particles and all bacteria killed, because it's boiled). It even has lifetime warranty if you register it. Don't get the CarePod though. From what I can tell they are all ultrasound humidifiers which vaporize not only water but everything else too such as germs, detergents and toxins. Even their ultraexpensive Cube Plus seems to be just a ultrasound humidifier. I have one (they are extremely cheap to produce and can be bought for as little as $3) and while it looks nice it's useless, it's not clear whether even using it properly (which is very hard) will improve health or worsen it.
r/PlasticFreeLiving • View on Reddit →I use carepod. Very easy to clean. Just wash the wand and the water reservoir and lid can go in the dish washer. Also boils on stove to disinfect!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • View on Reddit →Carepod. Easiest to clean and sanitize of any brand.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I feel your pain on the Blueair pump. Sealed mechanisms are a nightmare because you can't mechanically scrub the bio-film out of the impeller housing. Unfortunately, the "Unicorn" you are looking for (Evaporative + UV + Dishwasher Safe) doesn't exist yet. The electronics required for UV and Auto Dry mean you can't submerge the base unit in a dishwasher. You have to choose one path: * **True BIFL (Dishwasher Safe):** Look at the **Venta LW25** (or LW45). It is incredibly simple - no wicks, no pumps, no filters. You can throw the entire lower housing and disk stack into the dishwasher. It lacks UV, but it's physically cleaner because you can scrub every inch of it. * **Sterilization (Boilable):** If you are open to ultrasonic, the **Carepod** uses a stainless steel tank that you can actually boil on the stove to sterilize.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →I have 3 of these at home and they're the best investment I've made!
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →Yes I got one in great condition off Facebook marketplace. Zero problems.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Carepods are SO GOOD. we have 2 and i will likely buy a 3rd. you don't need to do the whole boiling to clean thing if you have a dishwasher, the two removable components are dishwasher safe! easiest and cleanest humidifier i've ever had in my life.
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →I'm glad you haven't! I'm going to have to reach out to their customer service. I love the concept sm
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →Same! We have two, and I may get a third. Cleaning is the reason I previously didn't use my humidifiers...so annoying to clean!
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →Omg I got this too recently! The easy cleaning is a game changer. Also thanks for the cleaning tips for throwing the pieces into the boiling water!
r/NYCbitcheswithtaste • View on Reddit →Carepod. It's actually easy to clean, no weird crevices, and you can buy replacement parts. There's even a higher tier option with a sanitize button.
