Momentum 4 are great, don't get me wrong. It doesn't touch my list because I don't have any need for wireless headphones. If you want/need a wireless headphone, momentum 4 is by all mean a great pick. If you need isolation and don't mind wired, hd620s is another fine choice. In the end, it's about your wants and needs. Our life differs and so will our choices
r/sennheiser • Best Headphones? ->I'll throw in my 2c based on ones I have actually owned and used both on iOS and Android... 1. Bose QC (or QC45s) or QC Ultra. The most comfortable. Good enough sound, excellent ANC. Fold for easier carrying on the move. They have APTX adaptive/Snapdragon sound but no standard or HD APTX. Not many devices out there support Snapdragon sound 2. Sennheiser M4s. Fantastic sound, terrible ANC. Do not fold. 3. Sony M4s and M5s. Bose level ANC, mostly good if a little muddy at times sound. Cook my ears, the least comfortable by some distance, for me at least. M5s do not fold. 4. B&W P7 S2e. Fantastic sound. Ok, probably good enough ANC. Do not fold 5. B&W P7 S3. Pretty much as per the S2es, but they sound better and maybe the ANC is slightly better too, still not at Bose or Sony levels though. Still do not fold. They have Snapdragon sound, but they also have APTX HD and standard. I could never buy Sonys again unless I was sure the ear cooking had been resolved, I suspect though that this is down to their overall approach to ANC. The Bose QC45s or the new QCs (non-Ultra) are head and shoulders the most comfortable over-ear ANC cans I have owned.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best Noise-Cancelling Headphones for Apple User (No AirPods Max)? ->Not sure if they are studio headphones, but I'm pretty sure they are not gaming headsets either. I got my bose quietcomfort 15 around 2012 iirc and they are still my pc headphones to this day (I have a sennheiser momentum 4 for when I have to walk around the house and don't want a wire interfering). The qc works without a problem and honestly they are one of the nicest headphones I had the pleasure of interacting with.
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->AirPods Pro 2 for earbuds and Sennheiser Momentum 4 for headphones. Both work well.
r/LegionGo • What headphones are you guys using? Preferably wireless. Legion go S. ->I have Momentum 4 and can say they are pretty good, but the Bluetooth connection is unstable and sometimes they would disconnect a few times per hour, which I find a bit annoying

I have Senn Momentum 4's which are great wireless, but I just got the Hifiman Ananda Nano's and they are fantastic. They are open back, so better for listening in a quieter setting. My headphone testing tune is the Opening jam -> China-> Mind left body jam -> Rider on Dick's Picks 12 (Providence Civic Center 6/26/74 and Boston Garden 6/28/74 . It's my absolute favorite China Riders partially because it is so crystal clear. The soundstage on the Ananda nano's is outstanding- you can hear the position of the band on stage, and the clarity is amazing. It's alot of headphone for 319 right now on Amazon. They are a few years old, but they were 800 or so when they were initially released. They are my end game over the ears (at least for now). I specifically looked for headphones that had the most soundstage because I listen to so much Dead. My listening set up is: ALAC or FLAC from iPhone/iPad/MacBook Pro- Qudelix 5k DAC- Douk audio preamp- Douk audio headphone amp - Ananada's.
r/gratefuldead • Help Choosing Headphones ->Hiya! Sorry to ask so late but i wonder if you end up choosing any headphone? I have the same problem with you, got Sennheiser M4 but had headache even when turn off the ANC, i like XM5 but it ended up broken bc of hinge problem
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best Headphones without ANC? (ANC sickness) ->Sennheiser Momentum 4 over ear headphones. Bulky to carry around but great sound quality and good enough noigh noise cancelling to use on a bus.
r/audiobooks • What headphones do you use? ->I have three of these and will give my opinions. Best for music is clearly the Focal Bathys with the onboard DAC. This rivals my DCA Noire and LCD-3 headphones for separation and clarity. Not as detailed as the LCD-3 but still clearly the best sound profile of the three. The ANC is the worst of the 3 especially for low dB noises. Microphone also worst of the 3. Comfort is ok but not phenomenal. Most comfortable with the best ANC for me is the Bose QC Ultra with the Sony right behind. Bose and Sony both need EQ and I don't see much of a difference between them for that. Sony has more bells and whistles with the APP with a better environment for adaptive sound control if that is of interest to you. And out of the box Sony sound better but for me still needs a lot of EQ to even out the low and high frequencies. Also I'm not a huge fan of the lack of deep cups for the WH1000X6 but that is just my preference for comfort. But agree just test all three by going to big box store or ordering and returning them. I also agree that the #2 for sound is the Sennheiser Momentum 4 which is the best deal of the four.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Which are the best headphones right now? ->Have you tried different ear tips to find something more comfortable? A lot of folks prefer the memory foam tips you can get vs silicone as they can be more comfortable/less irritating/stay in your ears better. I can't justify the size over ears take up in my bag now that anc has gotten as good as it is on earbuds. AirPod pros are the only ones I'll bring now on a flight. I used to bring Sony xm3 overears. The xm3/4 fold up pretty well and I don't see anything else taking up much less space (I believe the xm5 went backwards in design from a foldability/compactness standpoint, but the latest xm6 remedied that). I don't think the xm6 price is justifiable over the 4s for instance as these are still just consumer grade/mediocre sounding headphones (just like all Bluetooth stuff for the most part outside of a few like the Focal Bathys). My go to these days from a cost vs sound quality perspective is a pair of refurb sennheiser momentum 4, but the anc isn't nearly on par with Sony/bose/Apple stuff, and they aren't the most compact
r/onebag • What compact over ear headphones do you travel with? ->The Sennheiser Momentum 4 has usb-c passthrough in addition to 3.5, so you have more options to connect for video editing and gaming. Via EQ and the app they sound great too. Worth a look.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →It's fine indeed. You can find much better sound and cheaper price point, but not closed back ANC. That's the main difference. Wireless + closed back + ANC seldom goes hand in hand with fantastic audiophile sound.
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →I use the Sennheiser Momentum and I'm happy with it. For everyone here who is so pro-Shokz: the Momentum has a very solid mode where you can turn off the ANC.
r/Ultramarathon • View on Reddit →For pure music quality the Momentum 4s have been the best headphones I've tried so far, they just sound amazing; followed by the B&W PX7 S2.
r/SonyHeadphones • View on Reddit →I'm currently using the Momentum 4 Used it for gaming, wired and wireless (through aptx adaptive), if they don't play competitive games it'll be a solid option as I don't notice much difference in both setups. Big plus, it is super comfy for small head size Also might suggest they take a look at Fractal Design Scape as from many reviews it is also a very compelling option

r/Polska • View on Reddit →Hey fellow lofi girl listener! I also used to play audiobooks/podcasts to sleep but gave up in the end due to sleep posture comfort. As for headphone recommendation, I personally use the Sennheiser Momentum 4. I use bluetooth when commuting and wired while at home or work and they are fantastic. While to me the M4 sounds a bit too dark and muddy in the bass with it's stock tuning. You can EQ them with the M21 and probably get both sound quality and portability with it.
r/DigitalAudioPlayer • View on Reddit →For me, the Mommentum 4 are currently the best wireless headphones available. I use them for my job as well as for gaming. Of course, it's not a pure gaming headset, but where do you draw the line?
r/BuyFromEU • View on Reddit →I like the sound signature on Sennheiser Momentum Wireless. I have the latest version and it's definitely the best so far. But out of the box most don't sound that great for Deathcore, but an app like Wavelet will make a huge difference
r/Deathcore • View on Reddit →It was a bit costly where I live but I definitely went for it since I wanted something that would last long-term. I have been using it for quite some time and used the different sound modes (podcast, rock, dance) .. but I didn't even realize there was a sound personalization option until I read your comment lol (just tried it). I have mostly used mine indoors so the ANC has been more than enough for me. Super cool to hear your experience.
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →there were a couple of times when sweat got all over the cushions so I cleaned them up immediately. I will keep this in mind, thanks!
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →Another vote for these, I wear them to the gym, music and people banging weights, you dont hear anything. Updating the firmware is a pain in the ass tho, takes too long and is really flakey. This is from a phone, I havnt tried from a pc
r/sysadmin • View on Reddit →Mic quality apparently isn't too great from another review I watched. Probably about the same as M4. I use the BTD700 to Momentum 4 with Teams and it works great for me. As long as they haven't degraded that experience for the HDB 630 I'm not worried about it when I upgrade.
r/headphones • View on Reddit →The smaller-than-Momentum 4 ear cup size is a deal breaker for me. I had to send the M4s back due to discomfort after less than an hour of listening. I wish Senn made larger cups for big headed folks!
r/headphones • View on Reddit →Thats honestly weird. Apple apm, sony whxm, bose qc, sennheiser momnetum/hdb, etc. can all do it. Very common feature for modern headphones in this space :)
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →This was my first pair of headphones. Previously, I was using samsung galaxy buds 2 pro and over time, my ears started hurting a lot (which is something you should know because I have never used a high end headphone). After watching 100s of youtube videos and comparing brands like sony, bose, jbl, bowers & wilkins, apple, other... I decided to buy Momentum 4 ($211). XM6 was not available in my region at the time and it was also out of budget. Here is my review after 4 months of usage: * easily the best headphones I can ever ask for, in every single way. * battery life is super long. I can use it for several days, just put it on charge for 100 minutes and done. fast charging is also solid. * didn't expect the case to be that good. the overall look and branding are nice and I like the color. I'm usually at home so I don't use the case much. * I was confused about the color variant but went with white. it looks really clean and the branding isn't overdone which gives it a nice touch. * the app has a lot of options (sound personalization, bass boost, controls, sound zone, noise control). being able to manage connected devices is an underrated feature. * it supports aptX Adaptive and my phone uses that codec * call quality is super good so I also use it for all of my meetings and interviews. * cushions are smooth, took me some time to adjust to touch controls but I have finally built the mental memory. * after wearing, I don't feel any pressure on my head at all. * some people said the ANC isn't on par with other headphones but I don't think so. it blocks all the noise properly (ac, fan, someone talking) * I don't use EQ that much but I would love to try community ones (something they could add to the app). * sound quality is 10/10. whenever I'm listening to music, it's like I have been transported into that world. for this alone, I would choose it over any other headphone out there. I'm going to use Momentum 4 for at least 6 years!
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →it blocks all the noise whenever I'm listening to music. I really want to try xm6 ANC once (heard a lot about it)
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →Hi all, I posted a month or so ago, asking about the momentum 4's as I was debating whether to make the purchase. I have since made the purchase and would like to offer my feedback and experience with them after owning them for 3-4 weeks. **A brief background** - I religiously used Sennheiser HD25's for the past 12-13 years for a range of uses, DJ'ing, travelling, relaxing and all-round listening. I also own a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770's for studio use. I'm a big time album listener and I used to produce music and I still DJ from time to time so I feel like I kind of know what sounds good in comparison. I mainly listen to a mixture of music, but the go to genres for me would be Funk, Neo-soul, RnB, Soul, Hip Hop and little bit of everything else. The momentum 4's are incredible. The soundstage, isolation and overall feel + warmth to the sound is phenomenal. They can at times feel very immersive, which is perfect. ***What do I like about them?*** * The overall sound + tone they provide - it's a warm, relaxing, immersive sound. * Touch controls on each headphone - allows you to pause, turn up or down the volume without getting your phone out. Great for planes. * Padding and headband is comfortable and great quality overall. * Battery life is reasonable and lasts quite a while, especially whilst using the noise cancelling feature. * Noise cancelling feature is superb - I cannot believe the difference when I switch it to transparent, especially whilst on a plane or travelling. ***What are sound of the things I noticed straight away?*** * The sound initially is far too bottom heavy - you will need to dial it back in the app. The low-end is definitely a bit too much, I found by reducing it by -1 or -3dB it really helped to balance out the overall sound for me. * The app isn't great - I found the app overall was good, but it can be buggy at times and sometimes hard to navigate or save settings. Overall, I have been surprised how well these headphones sound and perform overall. They're way different to my HD25's, but in a good way. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a solid pair of headphones for travelling or day-to-day listening.
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →Momentum 4 are great, but like you say they are your first real pair so it's hard for you to do any comparisons. Sound is defo not good 10/10, but it's good for a pair of closed back ANCs.
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →Hard to go wrong with Sony XM5 or Sennheiser Momentum 4. Both sound great and super comfy. Kinda depends if you want noise canceling or just pure sound though.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →If you're set on wireless I'd take a look at the Sennheiser Momentum 4 and the Audeze Maxwell. The Maxwell does not have ANC but it does have an exceptional battery life, excellent sound quality, and is one of the only wireless headphones competitive with wired headphones in the same price bracket. The Momentum 4 has ANC and a good battery life. It is Bluetooth only compared to the Maxwell's 2.4Ghz dongle so you'll be looking at a bit of latency and reduced quality but you should be used to that coming from a JBL. You can get an aptX low latency adapter like the BTD 600 to solve the latency issue, or you can plug the headphones in via USB when at your PC for uncompressed audio. Then use them wirelessly when you're on the go.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →So, there is a lot to unpack here. 1. AirPods Pro are actually great sounding earbuds, so you're starting from a good place. 2. You're right to move away from the APMs and XM4/5, although you may enjoy the Apple sound. Bang for the buck, it's good about tech, though, not sound. 3. You can do a LOT with just wired headphones, if you're OK with that. Not all of them need amps. A great example is the Grado sr325x: great sound, easy to drive. There are plenty of others in the wired world worth considering. If you prefer bass, for example, the Meze 99 Classic or 99 Noir would be good. For something more neutral, the HifiMan Ananda. All of these work great with just a $9 Apple dongle. And even if you DO need an amp, something like an iFi Go Link Max would fulfill any needs you have with modern headphones, so a Sennheiser 6xx + one of those would get you where you want. 4. If you're dead set on wireless, check out the Sennheiser Momentum 4, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (which often sells for under $400), and the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 or S2e. (The S3 comes in at over $400.) All of these have decidedly different sound, and it will depend on what you like. Given your experience with the AirPods, the Sennheiser is probably your best bet. 5. Finally, for $350, you can find an incredible IEM, which might get you exactly where you want: the best sound for the money. But "best" is very relative here, since physics starts to play into the overall picture. Best of luck!
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Save yourself the trouble & just buy a pair of Momentum 4's. Game changers. Best sound imo with amazing anc
r/SonyHeadphones • View on Reddit →1. Sennheiser Momentum 4 - Magical. Don't know how they pack in the sound quality there. Sometimes I trash the EQ settings just to try to make them sound bad. I baby them though, so my number 2 is 2. AKG K361 - Cheap, sounds great, and comfortable as heck to my head and ears. Never offensive, easy to drive, good durability. I'll carry and use these without a care while the M4s would stay in my work bag. When I'm at home, though, I generally use my number 3, the 3. Fiio FT1 - Does the same thing as number 2, just with a little more style, cost, and weight. I love the wood. Driving it through 4mm balanced on my Fosi K7 sounds sweet and rich. I got these to replace #4, the 4. Audio-Technica M50x - This was my go to for seven years before last year. Built like a tank, I went through a set of pads on it. For a long time this was what I thought headphones were supposed to sound like. I'm glad I mixed it up. Speaking of mixing, let's talk about number 5. 5. Sony MDR-7506 - I got these because I wanted to see what the fuss was about. I get it. If you can make your music sound great on these, you can make it sound great on anything.
r/headphones • View on Reddit →I don't see that on my Amazon listing for them. I've also never had connection issues with mine and I've had them since release. My Momentum 4's have been absolutely rock solid.
r/headphones • View on Reddit →As a pretty invested audiophile going on 5ish years now with many wired headphones and IEMs, I have to say that I hold these in high regard above most other wireless headphones out today. They have a very modern Bauhaus-inspired design with a great quality build, and of course a very deep, rich cinematic-type sound that is detailed but a lot of fun to listen to. I'm going to start with sound as that is the most important to me; I personally own both the Sony WH-1000XM5 and XM4, and these absolutely \*demolish\* them. The AirPods Maxes have some of the most detailed and cleanest sub-bass extension I've heard in a headphone period. Even when comparing to other high-regarded wireless headphones like the Focal Bathys, I would still pick the Maxes simply for their slimmer, more discrete profile, and a cleaner more impressive low-end kick, not to mention the better noise-cancelling and transparency functionality. The Maxes do have some mid-range and vocal scoop present, but it doesn't feel \*dirty\* or masked like the Sonys. And, if you have an iOS device simply enabling the "balanced tone" + slight accessibility setting brings back those higher notes in a more natural and pleasing way. (Though for me personally, it does introduce some shimmer to the treble, so I like the more meatier vocal presentation in its default configuration) Where the Maxes gave me grumbles at first was with its comfort and USB-C lossless functionality. These gave me wicked ear and head pains for the first couple of days, but seemingly overtime that completely went away. I can now wear these all day with no issues, but I would still say that this is where most other headphones excel at better. I found that the trick to have the best fit is to make sure the lower part of the ear cup doesn't touch the upper part of your jaw. The USB-C functionality used to be bugged when it was first introduced, but with a recent firmware update it now works flawlessly on windows. However, it is still picky about certain DAPs. So to sum up, these headphones are excellent! It may be hard to justify these in terms of price, especially when things like the AirPods Pro 2s exist, but I don't think anything will give you the same type of movie theatre-like low end. These are incredible for watching Atmos content in, and do an excellent job at providing a nice coloured sound response that doesn't feel like it's trying to suffocate you with muddy bass or shrill highs. *If I were to consider this headphone as an all-in-one package (sound, ANC, comfort, smart features), I would put these at #1 above pretty much everything else on the market. Others may excel in certain areas, but no headphone will do all of it, as well as the maxes in my opinion.* Now some quick comparisons: **Sony WH1000-XM6**: I can actually see these being a very good alternative to the maxes if you need something lighter, and more space friendly. The XM6s have much more natural sounding tuning than its predecessors, but It still sounds "compressed" and dull compared to the maxes. The maxes seem to sound "bigger", with easier to separate details and better overall perceived technicalities. **B&W PX7 S3**: If you took my maxes away and forced me to use a different headphone, this would be it. It is B&Ws best tuning and headphone yet, it's super slim, sleek, rich design, and good feeling materials in hand. The sound is much more exaggerated but it does so in a way where you don't lose detail, it sounds as or more wider than the maxes at times with its much more brighter highs. The bass is a tad boomy, but it feels textured and fun. Some quality of life features also surprised me, like when you move one cup off the side from your ear, the music will automatically pause. **Bose QC Ultra**: The QC ultras are more comfortable and lighter than the maxes, but don't do much to inspire me sound wise. Very bland, and sometimes too bass heavy with thin vocals. It feels more like a "tool" for travel rather than a headphone to enjoy. **Momentum 4**: I did not like the momentum 4s at all. Super boosted sub-bass that masks the rest of the frequency response, and what sounds like a scoop in the upper mids. Design and ANC also leave a lot to be desired. **Focal Bathys and MG**: Right off the gate the MGs just did not do it for me, sounded very tubby and echoey, heavy, big, mediocre ANC, and what felt like an overall worse product than the cheaper Bathys. I would still choose the APM over the bathys for being cheaper, and better a noise cancellation while still providing that really deep and rich bass response.
r/headphones • View on Reddit →Agreed. I bought the Momentum 4s and B&W PX8s on prime day to compare and return the pair I liked less. I like a PX8 a little more for the sound but the momentums are a little better overall. A little more punchy with bass but the app is good for tuning into your specific taste. And the battery is better than any other set I've tried. I just finished a flight from east coast US to SEA and used them through each flight and in during layovers and they didnt die.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Momentum 4 is a pretty safe and easy bet
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I'm waiting for a potential momentum 5 early next year. I really dislike the XM6 soundwise cuz of bad soundstage and pretty muddy and poor soundquality without custom EQ at least. Also the bad comfort and honestly pretty cheap quality plasic build don't match the price. And I can highly recommend against the nothing headphone. Bought them a week ago and mine were defective and instantly got ruined by a softwareupdate. As cool as they look, the nothing headphones are imo the typical 1st gen product where you are gambling if it won't randomly die out of nowhere... I made a post bout them recently if you want to check it out. But I'm really negatively biased against nothing cuz of that cuz they had the most disgusting sound I've ever heard... But going back to the momentum 4, the ANC is just terrible and transparency also aint really it. They do soundstage, bass control and rumble better than anyone else at thier price and battery life is best in class but that's really all they can do. Bose has even worst sound but comfort is nice and ANC decent and B&W I havent used enough to say anything except a short test listening where I preferred the sennheiser by far. Again. Sennheiser clears everything with soundquality and for me at least that's what I value the most.
r/SonyHeadphones • View on Reddit →I was also confused between the XM4/5 and M4. I didn't really need ANC that much so I went with the better sound quality based on reviews (though the ANC isn't bad at all from what I have experienced). definitely go for it!
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →My Momentums 4s just died on my today after 2 and a half years of pretty heavy use 6-8hours per day, 5 days a week (Used them for work etc) They did come with there downfalls I have to say but the sound quality was mint.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Best for what? The XM6 is the most popular and has the best ANC and Bose's latest offers nearly as excellent ANC at much less of a premium mark-up, but if it's audio quality you're after it's the Sennheiser Momentum 4 or all the way up to the Focal Bathys instead. And the Airpods exist if you like locking yourself into Apple's ecosystem, I guess. They're technically solid, but besides poor compatibility with Android/Windows you lose out on access to high quality audio codecs and have to deal with them being annoying about being used in any way Apple didn't intend for you to.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I was like you, tried a bunch of different brands but ended up coming back to these. Got mine 2 days ago and I love them.
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →Wow just tried this out of curiosity and you're right, improved the sound drastically
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →From a BIFL perspective the Sennheiser momentum 4's have similar build quality, good noise cancellation, better sound than either, but most importantly twice the battery life. This means that over 5 years it will go through half the charge cycles meaning the battery won't degrade as quickly, and even when it does degrade it starts from a much better point. I have owned Sony XM4, and Sennhieser M4's and can't recommend them enough.
r/BuyItForLife • View on Reddit →Transparency Mode always sounds horrible while listening music or gaming with it. The mic inserted sound is horrific. If you want to hear what's going on around you at home you need two pairs of headphones. One open back headphone for home use (I strongly suggest the Sennheiser HD600,6XX,650 line) and one for use while traveling (I strongly suggest the momentum 4, they have the best sound quality for the best price and the noice canceling is absolutely alright).
r/headphones • View on Reddit →sennheiser momentum 4, not cheap but good
r/GalaxyS24Ultra • View on Reddit →I love these but i can't get over the ANC it's so horrible compared to even the xm3s I moved from. I swear I can also hear the ANC frequencies that is is trying to counteract the outside sounds. Gives me a headache
