To me DT 770 Pro X are almost uncannily comfy. Same with DT 900 Pro X. I feel that they're there, but they don't interfere at all. Same with FT1 Pro with thicker/firmer leather pads: slightly increased clamp, decreased headband pressure. They're there, they're weighty, but they don't bother me.
r/headphones • Most comfy headphones for long computer work sessions? ->Studio headphones are great, but they're designed for critical listening than they are for entertainment. And by critical listening I don't mean "hearing enemies better" I mean listening to audio accurately in terms of dynamics and frequency. I use my DT900 Pro X every day for everything and I rather have a pair of hyped gaming headphones to make things more exciting when I'm gaming. Not to mention open back headphones just don't have that immersion that closed backs do.
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

I've got this exact pair. It's freaking fantastic. Paired it with a decent DAC/AMP and I don't think I need anything else, I don't really care for positional sounds in FPS and stuff like that but just listening to a good sound design in the game is peak.
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->Same headphones as i have. I really like them, bit i do use an external DAC
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->If you like the Beyers, why not 900 Pro X? All the good parts of 990 plus removable cable, more sensitive, more neutral tuning
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Headphones under 250$ with good soundstage, primarily for single-player gaming. ->I have these and absolutely love them
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->I have both these and the 700s. 700s seem a bit bassier, but I love the way the 900s feel like the sound is in the room with you. Enjoy!
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->My first 'wow' moment headphones were the DT 770 Pro. They are amazing for their price and sound even better plugged into an amp. I'm using the ifi Zen DAC V3. My current 'end-gane' setup is the same amp but with DT 900 Pro X. The sound is just incredible and you will have a hard time finding headphones at either price point as the two mentioned above that sound as good, they are out there though but I don't know which one's they are. Your best bet is to go to local stores and test out as many as possible so you know what sounds good to your ears.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Please help me out with my first wired audiophile headphones ->You make a very valid point. There are for sure headphones with 'better' bass. My DT 770 Pro and 900 Pro x have more textured and layered bass, so the quality is better. I think for their time, the xb500s but out a higher volume of bass than many headphones on the market, we are talking over a decade ago though. I bought my second pair about 10 years ago off eBay for around $200 USD, so they had gained some type of status as they originally retailed for ~80.
r/headphones • So what are the best Sony's? ->I'm new to this hobby as of a couple of months ago. With all of the different options and sounds, I'm not sure if I'll ever reach an end game, it's the exploration that is my passion right now. At the moment the best I have is Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X paired with the Zen DAC V3. I have about seven other pairs of headphones. I've had to pause my spending on the hobby for a bit, but I look forward to continuing to explore and move up to more expensive and 'better' headphones, amps and other equipment. It's great that you found something you love and I hope you get many years of enjoyment from them.
r/headphones • My long, expensive journey through headphones and IEMs might actually be over ->I'm with you on the comfort and EQ actually. I can wear my 900s for hours, they are extremely comfortable. It's amazing what a difference a little adjustments to the EQ can do. I bought a pair of Audio-Technica m50x-BT2 for on the go. They have a parametric EQ. I asked ChatGPT to give me settings for it that would make them sound like my Grados but with bass. They don't sound exact, but they sound good. As far as my actual Grado SR80x goes, I bought the sheepskin pads for them which really brought out the bass, but I lost that musicality they are known for, so again, EQ saved them. Now I have extremely comfortable Grados with bass. Again, not sure if I'll reach an end game per say (I like the way you frame it though), all I know is I'm having fun and that's what matters.
r/headphones • My long, expensive journey through headphones and IEMs might actually be over ->Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X I have 5 other pair of headphones, all good quality. It's like an addiction, it's almost like I want to listen to the other five and appreciate them and get my money's worth out of them, but I just can't stop listening to the 900s. Right now I'm listening to the Audio-Technica M50X-BT2. I've adjusted the parametric EQ and am dialing in my preferences with guidance from the web and ChatGPT. I'm giving them a fair chance as I eye my 900 Pro Xs
r/headphones • What headphone do you always find yourself going back to? ->I have the DT 900 Pro X. With the STELLAR.45 driver you don't need an amp, but I have the ifi Zen DAC V3 for what I perceive as a cleaner signal, plus more headroom. Their bass boost adds a subtle warmth without the boomy mess that some 'bass boost' features do. The headphones are great for both gaming and music.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best open back headphones for pc gaming? ->Have these exact headphones. I recommend looking up an EQ for them. It's quite easy to do. They've a bit of a breaking in period because the clamp quite a bit. Now for gaming. The positional awareness these headphones give are so good I still get blown away by it. Footsteps through walls to pin point accuracy. I am in a noisy environment and I still love these. Can hear my wife asking me questions without needing to lift the headset off.
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->The DT900's are only 48ohm, much easier to drive - DAC is kinda overkill. I have 250ohm 990 pro's as well so I know where you're coming from, but 'horses for courses', not everyone needs the same. DAC is a big expense for little benefit in OP's case.
r/pcmasterrace • Another "Gaming Headset" bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->I have those as well. I use them mainly for gaming and compared them to DT900 Pro X, DT770 Pro X and Sennheiser PC360s and I disagree that they are not as good for gaming. I think they have a kind of subtleness and precision that makes it pretty easy to locate other players, for example in BF6. How they fare in other, more competitive games, I can't say. But they are incredibly comfortable, far more than Beyers, especially due to their weight. And sound is great. I did tune the bass up a bit because I like hip hop. But that's all.

r/audioengineering • View on Reddit →Dt 900 pro x excellent choice. However, the leather on the helmet's headband quickly fell apart
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I'm on my second BDs. You won't be disappointed!
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Everyone have different sound profiles. I prefer cleaner sounds with beyer dynamic dt900
r/PS5pro • View on Reddit →I used Dt900 pro x for a long time but got tired of having to use external microphone so I got MMX 300 pro and am very satisfied, the sound is very good and microphone is amazing

r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →i got the same ones ... they are very good .. the onboard sound may be lacking tough \^\^ \- also you will come to be annoyed by low quality audio sources (youtube etc) with these you will start to notice all the audio crimes a low quality one hides \^\^
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I love my DT 900 pro X for both gaming and music. Was my first pair of open backs. Since then I haven't purchased new closed backs. I think "fun" headphone that you might still be able to find are also the harmonicdyne Eris. But getting harder to get. Otherwise the 900 are great. Forgot to add, and you may already have one, get an amp/dac to really open up headphones
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Have these exact headphone and do not regret my decision one bit. Excellent sound quality for the price.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Theh are 450 for the version with dolby (515 with taxes), mine were crackling all the time after 70 hours... Plus they are heavy as Fuuuuuck (1.1lbs...) Not so much sitting straight, but since they are Bluetooth, if you want to do any chores with them, the weight when leaning is exponentially heavier !!
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →DT 900 Pro Xs are amazing for everything
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I have the 900s. Also game in a quiet area. I love them. I've had them for about 5 years now. Only thing I can say is that I have a triple monitor setup and I prefer an underslung boom arm for my mic opposed to a high one. Moot point if you plan on leaving your mic on your desk, or have room for the standard arms. Also use them with my iPod occasionally as they are excellent for music. (Imagine that! lol)
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I have the DT 900 Pro X and my headband cracked without much use, you might want to pick up their newer one instead. Audio is definitely great but build quality, ehhhh... Could be better
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I've had my 900s for two years without a single issue, they're so sturdy and reliable and great sounding.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Beyerdynamic Dt 900 pro x is insane value
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I have the same Beyerdynamic model, it rocks! Best headphones I've ever had, great sound and build quality. Enjoy!
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I agree. 900 pro x is underrated because it is very different from the rest of the Beyer lineup because it actually has reasonable treble and the rest of the sound is super linear.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Neither of the headphones you mentioned is more neutral than the HD600. I have all three. AR5000 is incredible, but slightly juiced. Pumped up bass and slightly exaggerated treble. The Beyer's, unfortunately, absolutely have that crazy treble thing going on

r/headphones • View on Reddit →Got my DT900 Pro X about 2 years now and never looked back. The only thing that broke after one year was the head band. For some reason the PU leather isn't glued properly to the foam padding. Also I did order some additional cables and coiled the original cable for daily use. Hooked up to a 1st gen Rodecaster.

r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I have this exact headset, and let me tell you, get yourself a mid range dac. I bought a fiio k7 (200ish bux, probably can get one used on ebay for 150), bc although the MB pushed them well enough, the cans didnt get all that loud. The k7 made a MASSIVE difference. Not necessarily for quality, but just for sheer volume. Its very well worth it. When I did my research, the k7 consistently made a bunch of bang for buck lists as a budget king. Im extremely happy with mine
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I've had those for awhile now and I really like them. Just need to pair them with a good mic
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Honestly pretty great also. I would say they're great all-rounders
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →My headband cracked and I couldn't even find a replacement outside which sucks
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I have owned a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X for almost a year now, and I absolutely love them. It's the best headset I've ever had and destroys any other "gaming" headset I've had in terms of sound quality.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →900 pro x is leagues better imo. Super linear frequency response with slightly bright treble but much more reasonable than 990 pro. Also very good bass extension for a dynamic open back. It's not exactly the widest sounding in the price range tho. It's mainly for professional applications, and you don't want pro gear to exaggerate imaging and separation
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Me and my friends have these exact headphones. Very good stuff, you wont be disappointed. I stopped buying gaming branded peripherals years ago. They mostly suck ass.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →- JBL Endurance Run 2 earbuds. They're cheap, portable, sound good, have good bass, and the earbud blocks external noise pretty well. - Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro are my mixing headphones, which I sometimes use with my KO-2
r/teenageengineering • View on Reddit →Nice! Just keep in mind that the DT990 Pro and Pro X are NOT comparable, they sound vastly different from one another :) (and in my personal opinion the Normal Pro sounds better!) You'll be surprised how neutral they will sound! Also make sure to install Equalizer Apo + Peace and EQ them to your Preference! (AMAZING References can be found here! ~> [List of Presets](https://reddit.com/r/oratory1990/w/index/list_of_presets))
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I owned a pair of Audeze Maxwell and they were the best gaming headset I ever used by a long shot. Unfortunatly tho they use planar magnetic drivers that are very fragile. No matter how I handled them the right driver still broke. Got a replacement pretty easily but unfortunatly almost exactly a year later the second pair had the exact same issue. The Maxwell cost me ~400€ when I bpught them and even tho I would have gotten another replacement I was not willing to get it replaced every year until warrenty expired. For the almost the same money I bought DT 900 X Pro and DT 700 X Pro (names might be different).
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I did not here the DT 700 but the DT 900, DT 1770, 1990 and T1. The DT 1770 has emphazised lows and highs. Voices were faint and it was quite sibilant. Way preferred the DT 1990 out of all of them but finally settled with a Focal can. I always wondered why the DT 700 is traded as studio can because of the sounding.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →have a look at the beyerdynamic DT 900 pro X and buy the compatible usb-c cable with it. It has a built in dac and inline micro and controls.. Get that and call it a day for the next 10 years or so.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Beyerdynamics DT 900 pro X. You dont need an amp to run it, can be used right thru motherboard (although it sounded great thru Mobo, i got a Fiio K7 amp/dac and it made it MUCH louder/better), and get a decent boom mic. All in you could probably get the headset and a decent boom mic for 350-400 USD (im not doing the conversion)...The headset is super comfy, and it sounds spectacular. My setup is amazing, i researched my ass off and landed on \-DT 900 Pro X \-Fiio K7 amp/dac Beyerdynamic Fox Condensor Mic I wouldnt be surprised at all that you could get a similar setup for 500 euro all in
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →Isn't this US Dollars? Because where I do live they sell for 230€. Amazon does have great return policy, just try them and if you dont like them just send it back, but I think they are some great upgrade to the DT990. If it is 350 US Dollars, dont buy them. You find a better pair for that price
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I have both these and the 700s. 700s seem a bit bassier, but I love the way the 900s feel like the sound is in the room with you. Enjoy!
