All the suggestions here are solid, but if you have larger hands like I do, some might not be the best fit. In that case, I'd recommend the Razer Basilisk V3 or the ASUS ROG Spatha X if you're looking for a mouse with 6+ programmable buttons.

deathadder v2 is nice I use that one currently. I'm interested in the basilisk wired, I hate wireless for gaming. Too much lag. I had a mamba chroma b4 it was good but had to fix the wheel twice. Deathadder hasn't let me down yet and I like that I can reprogram the DPI keys

Do not get the razer v3. The scroll wheel is known for bugging. I have one and with jump bound to scroll I randomly start jumping around in game. Allegedly the v4 fixed this issue but I went back to my v2 and love it.

I had a Razer Basilisk V3 which I loved the shape but unfortunately backwards scroll was super annoying and I ended up changing to a Alphyn AM10 from PowerColor. Pretty happy with it, I had used it previously at a friends and was quite surprised so I ended up swapping my V3.

I actually used a vertical mouse prior to using my Basilisk v3, I tell you; I have way more kills and skillshots in Battlefield 1 using that vertical mouse over the Basilisk.

I run Hestra size 11 or 12 or XXL for US glove sizes. I have various Razer basilisk v3 versions and I'd be interested if there was something bigger, too. I feel like I put pressure on the mouse via the thumb and rest the palm near the index/middle finger joints. The ring and pinkie fingers don't do much. I am older and am a high e-dpi user (say 5.4k in first person shooters). This style might be problematic if I aimed from the elbow and had to do big drags across the mouse pad and pinkie drag.

Mine broke after about a year of using it. Admittedly I am rough with my mice. But it would do things like randomly make me look down/up, not register inputs, and not allow me to look around while holding m4/m5

I had a Razer Basilisk and it ate my batteries like crazy (Maybe it was faulty but i didn't wanna bother with it anymore). I would like to have a good mouse that charges with USB C and isn't too bad in terms of input latency and tracking. Are there any options that are worth the money? I hope its okay to ask these questions here because i have no damn idea about the mouse space lol :D

Similar in shape is Razer Basilisk, Logitech G502(X), maybe Turtle Beach Kone. You can get a Basilisk V3 wire for under $50, and that's near the top of their range. Can't say Razer software is flawless, but works well enough for me, and the mouse is high quality, except their scroll wheels always feel squiffy in tactile mode - something to do with the freescroll/tactilescroll mechanism I think. Edit: These other mice people are suggestion just don't have the same shape, feels like they are trying to direct you to their favourite mouse, not answer your question.

It affects battery life too much since most people are turning towards wireless. There are still some mice like G502 X Plus with lines on its back or one of the Razer Basilisk even has it on the sides so it shines on the mousepad.

It is crazy to me the cult like following this mouse continues to have, and I maimed this mouse for like 3 years from 2017-2020. The extra buttons are cool, but man there are so many better mice out there, that are so much lighter. If you want a wired mouse try the op18k it's the best fps mouse in existence, probably. Lots of ergo mice out there, from death adder to zywoo to superlight to vaxee If you're stuck on this shape you might try the basilisk But really you'll just probably be happiest with another 502.

I am using the Basillisk v3 for single player games, it's really good. You can also consider the vxe r1 if you are into esports titles.

its 3300 at computech rn, i would grab ghat deal if i were u, i bought mine at 3600. it might seem a lil pricey but its gonna last u at least like 3-5 years or more, its got like 11 buttons u can program shortcuts to like i did. the logitech ui is like average too (im a razer fanboy tbh). if u have a lil bit more wiggle room like double budget (which u should or u keep needing to replace them as they wear out) id go with the razer basilisk v3 x hyperspeed or the baseversion v3(its a lil outdated but still pretty good) im currently using the razer basilisk v3 pro and the thing is a beast. dm if u need more help

No it's not stiff. It has excessive play and springyness (as it drops back into position) vs a regular scroll wheel. It functions OK. I've had no problems from skipping/lagging/extra scrolls. Smart-reel is a binary on off - when you scroll fast it goes into infinite mode - after about a half second of none movement it snaps back to tactile. It's not the nice smooth transition of the MX.

Razer Basilisk is the only one I can think of (certain variants only e.g. V3). The smart-reel feature and mouse wheel in general isn't as nice as the MX Master though. Whether it fits you I'm not sure.

My dad used to have an older Deathadder, he used that thing for at least 6 years if not more. My Basilisk V2 lasted 9 months and my warranty Basilisk V3 scroll wheel wouldn't click in after 6 months... My Blackshark V2 headset is kind of shitty as well (USB DAC will randomly drop out). I think that the older Razer stuff was built with actual longevity in mind.

Windows can only recognize two side buttons natively and they're always called Mouse4 and Mouse5. Other buttons have to be assigned to a keyboard button, otherwise they won't be recognized. Look for MMO-mice if you want really many buttons. Otherwise Logitech G502, Razer Basilisk and Glorious Model i2 are options to consider.

I have my Razer mouse and keyboard from 12 years ago. I really want to replace my keyboard with a newer one, but it just feels so good. I just have had enough of the green RGB haha. Bought the Razer low profile mechanical as it was on sale and returned it. Battery life was mediocre and the RGB setting did not work wirelessly. Bought a Razer Basilisk V3 (non pro) as it was also cheap and it's alright so far. Wanted to have wireless peripherals, so my 2013 deathadder and BlackWidow would retire, but I just cannot find anything worth replacing them with. Would probably get a Keychron QMax series, but they are expensive in Canada. No software is a big win. Razer, Asus ROG, SteelSeries, etc will all have a good product here and there, but they often need their bloated spyware installed.

Razer Basilisk, Glorious i2 are probably your best bets. I would go for a Basilisk. By the way, it is *mouse*, *mice* is only if you talk about more than one mouse (some people also use mouses when it comes to the computer peripheral, but to me that sounds just idiotic)

I'm actually using the wired version of the basilisk v3 as my backup right now. The scroll wheel is kind of broken (thanks to my toddler), it basically clicks the mmb anytime I tap the mouse back down on the desk. While it's a good mouse, only complaint i have is the lack of a way to change dpi, and of course the price for the wireless one. $158 on amazon is pretty steep. The glorious on is a lot more feasible at $70, and I might go with that depending on others suggestions.

Depends on your preferences. I have small hands and just bought a Razer Basilisk. It's one of the biggest "gaming mice" but still small relative to a typical hand.

Superlight 2 or Razer Viper V3 Pro. Seriously, just get one of these and try it. They're the safest option and what most e-sports professionals use. Think Counterstrike 2 and Valorant. Of course they work great for everything but there's a reason the pros use these. The Razer Basilisk V3 is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used but yeah, it's heavy. 110g heavy. The Razer Viper V3 I just got is about half that.

Can confirm that smart reel works with Synapse closed. I don't fancy uninstalling it. I don't really experience problems with the software, although with a Razer Blade it's there anyway.

How? My Razer Lancehead wireless lasted me almost 8 years before battery died out and double clicks started to happen. I just switched to the Basilisk but just 2 years? That's surprisingly a short life for a mouse

Not long, just a couple of weeks. My experience with the scroll wheel hasn't been great, I bought 3 and returned 2 for mouse wheel issues. With the current one the issue is that when it's in tactile mode it's pretty lumpy - basically with a normal scroll wheel if you move it it moves a click. With this scroll wheel you can roll it back a little way without it clicking, and then if you let go it falls back into place. So when doing small scrolls in tactile mode if you end up half way between a low point it then falls back with a bit of a clunk and slight reverb through the mouse. Definitely would like it to be more clinical. At the end of the day it has the best set of features, so I put up with that, the free scroll is good, the smart reel feature is good even if not implemented as well as MX Master, the overall feel and quality is good, and the shape suits my hands (smaller hands). It's indeed a very nice upgrade from the adder. And yes, it looks dope af. Enough buttons to fully map out complex controls even for games like Fortnite. Some users have reported slight sweat issues on the side wing profile Your budget might also accommodate the Logitech G502 Light speed. All excellent pro options - your choice OP!

Not sure if you want to but you could look up used mice as well. I managed to get mice like the G502 X, Basilisk V3, DeathAdder V2/V3 for under 30$ each (usually 1.5-2x the price new around here so it might not be an option for you). I thought the thumb rest was a necessity for me as well but in the end the DeathAdder shape is what fits my hand perfectly.

Generally mice that are more open. The G502 and Basilisk thumb area is a bit cramped. I don't have thick fingers, but long ones and my thumbs are a bit wider at the tips than on most people. The EC1 shape is good for working because it's super relaxed. But I aim better with the FK1 XL shape, Viper and similar works great too - less comfortable though.
