this goes for 99% of video games you cant go wrong with a g502 (or if you prefer razer, one of deathadder viper or basilisk will suit you)
r/WorldOfWarships • Anybody use a gaming mouse??? ->Generally mice that are more open. The G502 and Basilisk thumb area is a bit cramped. I don't have thick fingers, but long ones and my thumbs are a bit wider at the tips than on most people. The EC1 shape is good for working because it's super relaxed. But I aim better with the FK1 XL shape, Viper and similar works great too - less comfortable though.
r/MouseReview • Why Logitech G502 is the best mouse ever made ->Mine broke after about a year of using it. Admittedly I am rough with my mice. But it would do things like randomly make me look down/up, not register inputs, and not allow me to look around while holding m4/m5
r/OverwatchUniversity • My friend is trying to get me into Overwatch, but I'm not sure if her advice is actually that good. Can anyone offer me some guidance as a beginner? ->It is crazy to me the cult like following this mouse continues to have, and I maimed this mouse for like 3 years from 2017-2020. The extra buttons are cool, but man there are so many better mice out there, that are so much lighter. If you want a wired mouse try the op18k it's the best fps mouse in existence, probably. Lots of ergo mice out there, from death adder to zywoo to superlight to vaxee If you're stuck on this shape you might try the basilisk But really you'll just probably be happiest with another 502.
r/G502MasterRace • I think its time this mouse gets retired, any recomnedations? ->As other people mentioned: Logitech superlight Razer viper v3 pro Razer deathadder v3 pro (fakers mouse) And i think the g 605 and razer basilisk also have a few users
r/leagueoflegends • most popular mouse used by pros in 2025 ->It affects battery life too much since most people are turning towards wireless. There are still some mice like G502 X Plus with lines on its back or one of the Razer Basilisk even has it on the sides so it shines on the mousepad.
r/MouseReview • Is rgb in mouse dead? ->I had a Razer Basilisk and it ate my batteries like crazy (Maybe it was faulty but i didn't wanna bother with it anymore). I would like to have a good mouse that charges with USB C and isn't too bad in terms of input latency and tracking. Are there any options that are worth the money? I hope its okay to ask these questions here because i have no damn idea about the mouse space lol :D
r/MouseReview • Any good wireless gaming mice that charge with USB C? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

My dad used to have an older Deathadder, he used that thing for at least 6 years if not more. My Basilisk V2 lasted 9 months and my warranty Basilisk V3 scroll wheel wouldn't click in after 6 months... My Blackshark V2 headset is kind of shitty as well (USB DAC will randomly drop out). I think that the older Razer stuff was built with actual longevity in mind.

r/pcmasterrace • Daily driver for 12 years and started double clicking randomly, RIP ->Windows can only recognize two side buttons natively and they're always called Mouse4 and Mouse5. Other buttons have to be assigned to a keyboard button, otherwise they won't be recognized. Look for MMO-mice if you want really many buttons. Otherwise Logitech G502, Razer Basilisk and Glorious Model i2 are options to consider.
r/MouseReview • Anybody know any mouses with Non-Programmable and Programmable side buttons with a good amount of them? ->Razer Basilisk, Glorious i2 are probably your best bets. I would go for a Basilisk. By the way, it is *mouse*, *mice* is only if you talk about more than one mouse (some people also use mouses when it comes to the computer peripheral, but to me that sounds just idiotic)
r/MouseReview • My 3 y/o gaming mice just broke, I need a new mouse ASAP! Any recommendations? ->Corsair's 502 is the M65, Razer's is the Basilisk. Though, I don't think any of them are particularly big mice, the 502 is just really really heavy because of the metal scroll wheel and freescroll, and the side support for the big ass sniper button.
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →G502 and Basilisk are almost identical in size. This dude's hands are just massive. I have "big" hands and the basilisk was the best sized mouse I could find
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →i had a raza naga and basilisk. I also tried a g203 and razer viper, both of which were too small for my hands.
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →Realistically speaking other than the Razer Basilisk and the SteelSeries Aerox 9 there isn't much else out there I believe.
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →It's one of the three most common grip styles. People who use a palm grip just move their whole hand across their mousepad if they use a lower DPI. https://preview.redd.it/n3sox6v4kgff1.png?width=1500&format=png&auto=webp&s=c80ca80c73e45362be8d21360d74e338ad02a671
r/razer • View on Reddit →I've used the Basilisk before... dude, your hands are freaking massive!
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Razer basilisk! Loved the shape in spite of the weight and how long wireless lasted(had to recharge every couple months maybe)
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →Careful the Rabbit hole can run deep in this game, lol. I started out that way. Now I use dual Virpil Alphas with desk mounts, Racing pedals, Loupedeck and Tracker IR5, love the feel of flying with this setup. But any decent mouse and keyboard will get you playing! I used my Razer Basilisk V2 initially, if you like the mmo mice with the multiple side buttons, I could see that working well with all the keybinds in this game too though. Like said elsewhere if you do a lot of cargo, you will want to have a good mouse wheel that is comfortable to use for the tractor beams. I think I have 65 binds on my joystick/pedals and another 80+ on the Loupedeck that's mounted on the right joystick mount when flying, I still use the keyboard/mouse when on foot. Good luck and have fun! o7
r/starcitizen • View on Reddit →I hate Razer generally - but I picked up a Basilisk as it was a good deal and annoyingly it's the best mouse I've ever used. I tried others after my first one died and but had to resort to another Basilisk.
r/G502MasterRace • View on Reddit →I loved my Death Adder but let me tell you, I love my Basilisk even more. Time for an upgrade big guy.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I have hands slightly smaller than yours but I have the same problem and yes basilisk and naga are the only ones that doesn't feel that bad to grab but still... I'm considering buying one of those ergonomic vertical mice just to try and see if that works :(
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I ownes a basilisk for a year now and it smoothed over the part where my thumb is but nothing like that. I just covered it with grip tape and it's fine now.
r/razer • View on Reddit →Yes! The RGB on the Razer basilisk is second to none.
r/G502MasterRace • View on Reddit →I've had a razor basilisk for about 5 years and it's sound but I've never had a mouse break tbh
r/Alienware • View on Reddit →Because I prefer a mouse like the Basilisk and I'd rather not rely on my thumb for so many things.
r/razer • View on Reddit →I prefer the basilisk to those mmo mice. I can't get used to so many buttons that feel the same all in one place. The basilisk gives me plenty of buttons while feeling unique so I don't accidentally press the wrong one. I also use shift and ctrl as modifiers to give myself extra buttons as well.
r/wow • View on Reddit →My basilisk has been doing great for two years now
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I usually look for mice that don't have too many side buttons. I never click them, and I never accidentally click them, but I only find the DPI buttons necessary sometimes, and that's fine. My Naga was better suited for MMOs, but I ended up stopping using it due to my busy day-to-day workload. So I started using the Mamba more. Its size is perfect for anything, and I find it very comfortable. I've used the Basilisk a few times with the Deathadder v2. The only drawback with the V2 was the DPI buttons on the right-click and the fact that both are battery-operated.
r/razer • View on Reddit →If there is one mouse that would replace the G502 for me it's the Razer basilisk. A very good option in my opinion.
r/G502MasterRace • View on Reddit →I haven't used the new 502X, so I can't really comment on that. I just switched from my Basilisk to a Logitech GPX Superlight 2, because the scroll wheel broke for the second time in 6 months. I could fix it the first time, by opening up the mouse and fiddling around in there a little, but not this time. Just in general I've found that Razer mice can be a little fragile compared to others. But other than that, performance and feel are really nice.
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →I would go with either a DeathAdder or a Basilisk if you use a palm grip (the way you're gripping your mouse in the second photo).
r/razer • View on Reddit →Razer Basilisk, Glorious i2 are probably your best bets. I would go for a Basilisk. By the way, it is *mouse*, *mice* is only if you talk about more than one mouse (some people also use mouses when it comes to the computer peripheral, but to me that sounds just idiotic)
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →You should look at something like the Zowie ZA11, or Hyperx Pulsefire Surge which are somewhat notable for being pretty large. I've got big hands, not as big as yours, but from border of palm to top of middle fingers I measure 19 centimeters, and palm width; border to border, at about 9.5cm. I get away with using Razer's Basilisk v2 quite comfortably, though I'm only now noticing that I either have to keep my two-outermost fingers in a bit of a claw, or lay them flat along the sides of the mouse. Thanks to this I might look into the Zowie ZA11 or Hyperx Pulsefire Surge in the future. If the Zowie ZA11 doesn't fit you, maybe you should consider reaching out to them with your hand measurements.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Speaking of my favorite mouse of all time, I was just wondering when they were going to release a new model. Personally, I've only had the chroma version malfunction. Now I just wish they would make it slightly smaller and slightly lighter, nothing drastic. I own almost everyone except I believe the very first one of two they were way too big for my hand.
r/razer • View on Reddit →As I said I wouldn't choose that one either, I'd rather choose the basilisk to be honest. It's also depend by how many buttons you need and whether you might also want to consider a dual device setup. For instance if you need it for something like WoW whilst I appreciate it's a matter of preference, I don't a mouse with a lot of buttons is the right answer.
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →I like my basilisk but I hate razor software and there's no hardware default for the rgb so I'm stuck with the awful rainbow effect
r/razer • View on Reddit →Razer basalisk is lighter and has nicer feet with the same shape
r/G502MasterRace • View on Reddit →My razer basilisk got that problem a year after I purchased it. Never another razer product in my life I swear
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →How? My Razer Lancehead wireless lasted me almost 8 years before battery died out and double clicks started to happen. I just switched to the Basilisk but just 2 years? That's surprisingly a short life for a mouse
r/razer • View on Reddit →I had the Razer Basilisk but after a while found it too big and heavy (I have rather small hands). Went with the Razer Deathadder v3 Hyperspeed (70€ on sale) and I'm perfectly happy with it
r/gamingsetups • View on Reddit →My hands are about the same size. I used to have a basilisk and it always felt small and annoying. Now I use a G502 Lightspeed. It's still a little small, but the little tab that supports your thumb makes it easy to control the mouse without having to pinch your grip. Imo it's very comfortable.
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →bought 2 last year, deathadder and basilisk, first just died after 4 months, second free spin doesn't work anymore, should've stayed with logitech, g403 still works fine after 7 years , g502 too, they just look bad with the rubber worn off
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →I had a Razer Basilisk and it ate my batteries like crazy (Maybe it was faulty but i didn't wanna bother with it anymore). r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →It really depends on OP's grip style. That's called a palm grip in the second photo, and it's a very common grip style.
r/razer • View on Reddit →Same experience with my deathadder 😂 My basilisk is starting to do that too 🥲
r/pcmasterrace • View on Reddit →Odd, I had my razer mouse since I was gaming on my mom's apple laptop in 2014 lol, it just now gave out beginning of this year, with the mouse click not working. Haven't opened it up but it might still be an easy fix. Bought a razer basilisk last Black Friday anyway just in case, and it handles like a dream
r/csgo • View on Reddit →Razer Basilisk here... fits my hand (YMMV) I like the weight, it's responsive enough for WoWs and wireless is helpful TBF.
r/WorldOfWarships • View on Reddit →I use a fingertip grip, although the example in the photo is a bit exaggerated. I used to use a palm grip until it got too uncomfortable and my grip style changed over time.
r/razer • View on Reddit →Depends on your preferences. I have small hands and just bought a Razer Basilisk. It's one of the biggest "gaming mice" but still small relative to a typical hand.
r/MouseReview • View on Reddit →That Razer software is complete garbage. Having lived with both the Basilisk V2 and an MX Master 2 for gaming and work respectively for the past few years, I experienced multiple annoying and time consuming computer issues directly caused by Razer's software, while that literally never happened with the Options+ software. I can say with complete confidence that I will never purchase another Razer product again tbh
r/logitech • View on Reddit →I replaced my Logitech g502 with a razer basilisk a few years ago and have zero regrets. Zero mechanical issues and feels better than the g502 imo.
