you seem to be a few years late. there are now the xm2 8k, and the op1 8k, and op1 8k v2(which i would consider as the best mouse) the thing about a cable is that many people are bothered by them, and on ultra light weight mice(<30g) you can tell that the cable is there. and for low sens players, it also bothers them as you can feel the cable move during fast flicks. source. i used to use really low sens(55cm/360) and i removed the battery from my vxe r1 se as it was shit. and the cable is super flexible, and it didnt bother me, but during fast flicks, it would. now that i use a moderate sens(32-37cm/360) it doesnt bother me at all. and why use a wired mouse, when wireless mice can now weigh 35g and have decent battery life with minimal input latency

Ok, under $100 you have a lot of great options. If you aren't afraid of Chinese clone mice (and you shouldn't be), you can get literally any shape with an amazing sensor and switch implementation. With that said, My recommendation: Endgame gear. OP1 8k v2 is under 100 and is amazing. It is wired which if that's a deal breaker, I'd get the OP1w 4k for $80 on amazon right now XM series for larger hands. Hitscan hyperlight is another can't miss. Pulsar x2 crazy light has gone under $100. I think right now it's 130. M chose mice are excellent knock offs L7 is basically a pulsar x2 K7 is a viper v3 clone If it were me, I would get an op1 or a viper V3 pro for like $130, or a super light 2c for also I think $130, you'd pay a bit of a premium, but if it's a gift for your brother, he may not appreciate how cool the lower cost clone brands are and they just want with all the pros are using, and if you buy it off your Amazon and you have how much more no hassle return policy.

The click latency is much faster than any other mouse on the market. It also has the feature that makes the click register when it moves, not when it bottoms, making it even faster. The wired or not wired doesn't even register as an issue. It's everything else that makes it so good.

0.068ms vs 0.38 (viper v3 pro) or 0.659 (superlight dex)...pretty much instantaneous. Basically it's the better part of half a millisecond faster than anything else.

Do you think it matters to push for 240hz/FPS (4.2 ms frame time) vs 500(2ms)? Why are monitors 500hz now? Perceivable or not, a 1/2 millisecond in a game with fast movement and a moving target can be the difference between a shot registering or missing. It IS the best at this particular metric. Doesn't mean other mice are bad, but in a world where people chase frame time differences of 1 to 2 relative milliseconds, don't tell me shaving half of that off with a peripheral choice is of zero value.

I also think that's not the only reason to buy the mouse...the clicks, the coating, the build quality, the price, the shape, all are really really top for the price, and if it's a shape you like there's really nothing else like it. The wired is only like 49-50 g, vs 60 on the wireless, which I think makes it a little more desirable. I have them both, I think the wired is better for the weight reduction.

It is crazy to me the cult like following this mouse continues to have, and I maimed this mouse for like 3 years from 2017-2020. The extra buttons are cool, but man there are so many better mice out there, that are so much lighter. If you want a wired mouse try the op18k it's the best fps mouse in existence, probably. Lots of ergo mice out there, from death adder to zywoo to superlight to vaxee If you're stuck on this shape you might try the basilisk But really you'll just probably be happiest with another 502.

Go to your nearest Microcenter/best buy and try out mice, your hand size is different than anyone else's, my recommendations are the Coolermaster MM712 which was my main mouse until a week ago, where I switched to an Endgame Gear OP1 8K V2, which is an amazing mouse and is gaining a lot of traction recently, they might not suit you. I have smaller hands and I use a relaxed fingertip grip. You can use a size comparison website to fill in any gaps as far as mice you won't be able to physically try

Still Op18k, got large hands. But Mouse being on the smaller side isn't a problem. Tried other mice in between (gaming gear addiction). I just perform better and more consistently with it. My grip style is adaptable (I can use every style I've tried).

Software is minimal, shape is good, not sure about Wireless but clicks are always at 8k, EGG switches and tech - Which makes the click happen before you can hear the click sound.

I think OP1 series from Endgamegear could be an answer. Other than that, try Waizowl's Cloud XS. It a Kinzu-like mouse in terms of shape. Have you tried egg-shaped mice as well? Aside from Logitech G304/305 and possibly other variants, Corsair does make mice with the same shape called Katar Elite Wireless.

Do you play shooters and need/want high polling? If not then you dont really need to look that deep into specs or polling or battery life, just shape/comfort/build. The OP1 8k is widely considered the best mouse in terms of raw performance, it has replaceable and easily left/right/side buttons making it as close to a "forever mouse" in terms of longevity, its built well and is super durable, and its good for small to medium hands and is a good balance for alternating between between finger and palm usage. Its a very safe pick for most people, I would run it at 4k if your PC isn't super specced out since 8k can be demanding. https://www.pccasegear.com/products/69760/endgame-gear-op1-8k-v2-gaming-mouse-black Most if not nearly all wireless mice will last you a several days to a week+ on 1000hz though.

First day using the EG OP1 v2 (ZOWIE GSR mousepad)-- very impressed with the build quality and clicks latency. Mainly playing CS2. Hand size 19 x 10cm. Tried a number of mouse before this - VV3 pro, Gpx 2, lamzu maya x 8k and regular size; scyrox v6 & 8; Pulsar X2v2 mini and the newer Crazylight. Didnt have an issue even with the reviews that I see that this mouse is uncomfortable with it's shape for longer periods of playing. So far I found it the best and superior than all of the listed ones. Easier to track and flick. Sensor response is top notch. Love that it's small but stable with it's weight. Prevents over shooting and more stable for micro correction.

Exactly same grip and size, even the habit of resting occasionally the right part of the palm on the mice. I've tried fk2-dw, vaxee xe-s, viper v3 pro, op1 8k, and g pro x, they are all good but there are something missing which I can't tell. Personally I dislike fingertip only mouse for their unpleasant shape but probably it's time to have a try. Pulsar showed certains pictures about "x2f" on X and that would be interesting

the OP1 is the best full size mouse in my opinion. The weight, the quality, the clicks are all top tier and especially the shape is great. The thing is that the Asym offers a lot more freedom and together with the sensor position it's night and day. With "if done right" I mean that you need to place the grip tape correctly and put your pinky to the corner of the bulge. this mouse stands and falls with grip tape placement since it's uncoated and you need good grip for pure ftip.

well if you want the fastest high quality mouse there is the Op1 8k v2 but it's wired. If you want the overall best wireless mouse, tech wise from a well known brand then there is the Razer Viper V3 Pro. With Logitech GPX Superlight 2C being an option for smaller hands. If you want price to performance you pretty much already have a great wireless mouse but there is an upcoming crossover of Vaxee and Pulsar for their Esports series mice. Logitech will release a rapid trigger mouse with haptic feedback, soon which might be hit or miss. Aside from that there are G-Wolves mice which are leading in special shapes and weight reduction. Personally I think the OP1 8k v2 is the peak of price-performance-quality in the current market

The shape is awesome if you are looking for a nimble ergo mouse. I thought it was a little small at first, smaller than the Viper v3 Pro. But after using it for a while size is perfect for my grip, very comfortable all around. Matches the Viper in terms of specs and the coating is perfect for my dry hands.

Haven't even considered getting something else. If it's not for you it's not for you. Doesn't mean it's overhyped. I agree for keyboards and headphones but wired vs wireless mice latency is negligible in 2025. I have the fastest latency mouse, the op18k, and can't differentiate it from any of my wireless mice (ulx, crazylight, f1 extreme, etc.). Even polling rate is sort of irrelevant past 2k.

The weight is perfect actually. Tried the pulsar crazylight and scyrox v6/v8 which are <40g. For games like valorant and cs2, the op1s weight gives better stability during microadjustments or holding angles. Replaced them with the bigger skates that came with it. Control is top notch. I keep debating bet. Superlight 2 vs the OP1. I have a fingertip/claw grip and the op1 gives me more confidence in game.

I have been maining the op1 8k v2 for around 2 months now , love everything about it apart from the scroll wheel. For me the material on the scroll wheel feels too slippery, and the combination of it also being quite stiff to scroll means my finger just slips straight off it sometimes. Do you have any recs on a similar mouse with a preferably a similar coating and shape but a more gripoy and lighter to scroll scroll wheel ?

If you are looking for that back hump, the OP1 8k is really good, the precision and stability you get with the shape is insane. But it's a really thin shape so if you want something wider, the Hyperlight is your best bet albeit with a less aggressive back hump.

I have similar sized hands, and used to play with an op18k. I could fingertip that mouse pretty reasonably, but still sometimes the shell would stop me from getting benefit out of finger actuation. So I made a zero mouse copy for it, it's on my profile if you're interested. Not 100% sure if it fits the same PCB. Other than that I've had a lot of luck with the razor orochi series, and recent offerings from final mouse.

I like the coating but I generally prefer superthin griptape from LaOnda. The coating of my OP1 is top tier and the programm to change the settings of the mouse is very easy and does not run in the background. I'd take that any day over shitty synapse or logitech software. The Viper and the GPX S 2C don't need the software either for daily business since the settings will be saved on the mouse so you can set them up and uninstall the software or disable it from launch on boot.

I'm a small woman so my hands are 16x8.5...I mained the x2 mini v1 for a while but I swapped off after experimenting with more mice and settled for a bit with the op18k because of its shape. I got the crazylight to see if I preferred it over the op18k, and while I prefer the op18k's shape, it's just kinda heavy for its size (even with a glass mousepad) and it has a wire (even though I use a bungee). I know 51g is really light to most people, but I've been using mice like the ULX which is 31g. I still swap between op18k and crazylight 50/50. I aggro claw and fingertip for microadjustments. The only thing I don't like about it is its width and the clicks on the op18k are tighter, less hollow, and more snappy. Some people think the pulsar x2 sides are too flat which makes it feel like you're holding a block, but I guess I'm weird and prefer that for my play style. As for the HE boards, it depends on how long you want to wait. There's not much known about wooting's 60he v2 other than their video and what was seen at Computex. I can't really comment on that but I don't think you'd regret getting a made68 pro now. It's a good board and quite frankly I don't have high hopes for wooting. But hey, some Computex attendees have said it's really good.

I almost pulled the trigger on the m5 but had this randomly pop up on fb marketplace for basically the same price as the m5. I really like the mouse, my only real gripe is the placement of the side buttons. I'm used to hitting them with the middle joint on my thumb but it's just harder with this mouse. Nother other complaints though. The Fenrir Asym is a good bit shorter and wider than the m5 so i'd be curious to see how different it would be to use. I also had an op1 8k but decided it wasn't going to be my main. Great mouse though.
