You don't need HE to game. The best for around 100 is the Bridge75. Cheaper, but not as good, but better than the rk61: anything from the Aula F series.

Crush80 and Evo80 are the best TKLs. They're both around 180. But you can get a Crush80 Beta for closer to 120 and the differences are minimal. Plus, the switches are quieter. If you want to go even smaller, the Bridge75 is the best 75%. It's at Divinikey for $85-120. And I personally think the PetBrick65 is the best 65% in its price range, despite the fuzzy cover gimmick (at least until the Zen65 is available for purchase). I got one Amazon for $99. You can also get fantastic build-it-yourself kits on QwertyKeys, but they tend to be $150+ with keycaps and switches sold separately. For fullsize, people usually recommend Keychron Q6 Max (decent but expensive), Monsgeek M5 (decent), QwertyKeys QK101 (pretty great and expensive). Budget fullsize recs commonly include Keychron V6 Max or Aula F108. Smaller budget recs are usually the Aula F75 or the Kisnt.

What kind of typing feel do you like? Heavy keypress, light keypress, tactile, linear, buttery smooth, crunchy, feathery... I always recommend the Bridge75 because it's the best keyboard you can get for around 100. It's similar to the Rainy75 but a bit poppier and it comes with magnetic case dissasembly, which helps a ton with modding or configuring it in the way you like. I like the cheaper version that comes with the PC plate and SC switches, but all options are great. I hear the FR4 plate and princess switches create a thockier sound. But you can also swap the switches out to whatever you prefer. If you like a smooth medium heavy tactile feel, get Gateron Quinn switches. If you like a smooth heavy syrupy linear linear, get the Akko Green Fog switches. If you like a buttery feather light linear feel, get the Wuque Studio Yellow Arowana switches. If you like a smooth medium heavy deep Thock linear feel, the Gateron Oil Kings are great. If you like a light papery crunchy tactile feel, the MageGee White Elephant switches are a personal budget favorite. And lastly, everyone loves the Gateron Milky Yellow Pro v2s. They're a smooth medium linear, and they're inexpensive.

HE doesn't provide good typing experiences usually. And they're limited in switch options, since HE switches are proprietary. I would suggest going with a Kisnt on Amazon, since it's super cheap (even cheaper than the Aula F75) but it still provides a fantastic typing experience that punches way above its cost. It's a good intro board to help you figure out what you do and don't like before committing to a more expensive board. If you want to jump right in to the higher cost boards, consider a Womier RD75, Wobkey Crush80 Beta, Wobkey Rainy75, or a ShortCut Studio Bridge75 (which has the best cost-to-value out of these... $99 on DiviniKey with free shipping if you get the silver or black Plus version). Or, in the $150-$250 range, you can get yourself a QwertyKeys QK or Neo keyboard kit. Those come disassembled and you have to provide your own switches and keycaps, but all of them are fantastic. They also make the prebuilt Evo80 keyboard for around $180. That one is the current TKL king. For HE... The Keychron K2HE is very well reviewed. It's the one HE keyboard I've heard of that has positive reviews on the typing experience. That series comes in many different layouts, including a 65%, a TKL, and a fullsize. Whichever one you go with, grab a warranty. There's nothing like $15-20 bucks for four years' peace of mind.

I can confidently recommend the Bridge75 Plus as a bang for buck option. Full aluminum, steel weight bottom, VIA & QMK support, and my favorite part is that there is a ball catch design that allows you to take off the case top for easy disassembly and modding. The hardest part for you is finding it in your area, in the United States I was able to find it as low as $85 USD. They don't come stock with a silent option sadly, so I did order myself silent switches and they come in tomorrow and I could give a demonstration of that if you'd like. Best mechanical keyboard you can get for under $100 is the Bridge75. It's similar to the Rainy75 but with magnetic case disassembly and a lower price. The Epomaker x Feker Galaxy 70, 80, or 100 keyboards are decent, too. For plastic keyboards, try the Aula F keyboards or the Royal Kludge R series. Mechanical keyboards are neat because you can customize them by changing the keycaps and the switches if you want. And they're easier to repair sometimes. for example, if a keycaps or switch stops working, you can replace them. However, if the PCB gets damaged, then that usually means a full keyboard replacement is required unless you feel like learning how to trace the contacts and do some soldering.

I just got into keyboards for real back in October. Before that I thought I had lucked into finding endgame when I stumbled across a used drevo blade master and a soldered, wired red switch anne pro 2. Now I have loads of different keyboards from unbranded toy keyboards up to the Mode Sonnet. And way too many switches to admit to. And I'm still learning. The best keyboard for under 100 that you can currently buy is the Bridge75. It's on pre-order at Divinikey and maybe other vendors like Drop. Wobkey is launching it's Kickstarter for the Zen65 on June 3rd. That looks to be even better. Other boards that are great but higher priced include the Crush80, Evo80, and anything from QwertyKeys. Keychrons are dependable work horses that come in a bajillion different form factors (check their website to get an idea of everything they offer). Getting a Q series or V series used is a great starter board for many. But they're more expensive than the Bridge75, even when used, so I usually don't recommend them. If you want a wireless Keychron, you have to make sure you get one that says "pro" or "Max" after the number.

Bridge75 is great if you're looking for a thocky sounding keyboard

This is not true anymore (in my opinion). Keychron definitely has the most layouts and the most international options, but they're not the best, and they're not cheap. QwertyKeys has a wide range of option in their DIY Keyboard kits. Their QK and Neo keyboards are much better than Keychron. Monsgeek is also good. And if you want good prebuilt keyboards, the Rainy75, Bridge75, Crush80, and Evo80 are all fantastic. And if you want a budget keyboard option, check out the Kisnt.

The best keyboard under $100 is the Bridge75. You can get it on divinikey.com. The best under $40 is the Kisnt KN85. You can get it on Amazon.

The Hi75 is nice and would work well with silent peaches. But the Bridge75 is in a whole other category.

Hi. The Aula is nice. The Fizz sucks, in my opinion. I recommend the Kisnt KN85 over the Aula because the sound and typefeel is better at a lower cost. If you want the best that you can get for under $100, get the Bridge75.

Just build your own honestly. Get a rd75 or rainy75 or bridge75 and gateron milky pros with pbt keycaps of your choice. If you're okay with plastic, because imo it has a more muted sound profile then get a GMK87/67 and build it with gateron milky pros and pbt keycaps of your choice.
