Build quality, sound and feel while being HE? Hex80 is an absolutely yes. Extremely good response and firmware reliability/stability? Wooting is better. You have to sacrifice the rest.
r/keyboards →Can you feel the difference... Yes, you can actually feel the difference, specially when youre counter strafing or stopping. Wooting 60he v2 got aluminum. Otherwise, go for the HEX80 or the EZ80. Theres also Akko M0D007 V5 HE, but if you bang for your back, Irok ND63, Irok MG75v2, Keyverse ST63, Morkblade MK60, Gravastar V60Pro. So far, i have the EZ80 and Gravastar V60Pro, looking to pickup a Wooting 60HE V2, HEX80, and Morkblade MK60 this week
r/keyboards →I have the hex80 and I really like the keyboard. I returned the original one I bought and requested a replacement because the RGBs were spazzing out and would flash super bright. The second one started to do the same thing after a couple of weeks of use but this time I disabled some AI setting (I'll update later with the specific name) and this particular issue is gone. Edit: the setting I disabled was AI Match under performance settings. Edit 2: second keyboard started doing the same thing. I replaced the USB cable with a thunderbolt USB c to usb c cable and it's working good now.
r/keyboards →I totally agree with what's said. China's been killing it with the keyboard market and most western consumers only ever see the western gaming branded keyboards that are subpar. I recently got my hands on both the ATK hex80 and the Neo80cu. They're truly fantastic boards. It really puts brands like Logitech and Razer to shame. Build quality, construction, design, etc are just way better than what you get at Best Buy or amazon. Especially in the enthusiast scene. Saying Chinese brands overall are bad is just propaganda and an L take.
r/keyboards →Just to chip in, Hex80 was sold at a huge discount a few weeks ago but I'd still get it over the Wooting. Like other people say, only thing Wooting has over the Hex80 is that they have the best software but 90% of people only change basic things like actuation points, activate rapid trigger + SOCD, and low latency mode/tachyon mode which pretty much all HE keyboard software have. Also the stock Wooting 80HE is pretty bad, to make it equivalently good to the Hex80 you need to spend another $169 (excl shipping) on the GT80 aluminium case, buy better switches, and replace the terrible stabilizers which can add up to an extra $100. Even if you buy the Wooting 80HE module instead (which is just the PCB + case they force you to include) which is cheaper, it still costs more to make it on par with the stock Hex80.

Got great software for all the gamey things and has a great sound and feel for typing (which the Wooting struggles with). Full aluminium chassis, weighs a LOT and oozes quality. You can pick them up for around $200.

LoTR x Hex Build. (QK x ATK Hex80) After waiting over a month, it finally arrived. The unboxing experience is fantastic. Premium packaging with a case included. > **Switches:** Owlab Ti Hall Effect linears > **Adjustable actuation:** 0.1-4.0 mm > **Rapid Trigger + Dynamic Keystroke support** > > **Performance:** > 8,000 Hz polling (0.08 ms latency) > 32K scan rate (all-key) > 0.01 mm sensitivity > > **Build:** > Carbon fiber plate, gasket mount > Multiple foams (Poron, IXPE, PET, case) for deep sound > PVD stainless steel weight on the bottom The anodized aluminum finish is absolutely stunning. Visually impeccable. The sound is pure bliss. For a Hall Effect keyboard to deliver this level of thock is godly. Where it falls short is the ATK software, which is subpar and lackluster. The limited RGB and lightbar customization also leaves it feeling a little restricted. This isn't a wireless board, so it's not the easiest for travel. That said, the included case with compartments for extras is a great touch. Final Verdict: 9/10 - Highly recommend. Considering the QK101 next!

If you need a budget TKL HE, you can try Weikav K-One80. I have both Wooting 80HE and Weikav K-One80 and i love the typing feeling on the K-One80 much much better. Wooting 80HE depending you are lucky or not you might get a bad rattling spacebar that end making you have to relube the stabilizers by yourself.

But, I don't see that much of a difference to overpay 100$ more compared to Weikav K-ONE 80, for example. For sub 150$ it's a very good board as it is, but customer support is almost nonexistent, if you care about it.
r/keyboards • Best hall effect keyboard that is not Wooting? ->The best overall package currently is probably the ATK Rs7v2 or the Hex 80. Their web driver has great UI. There are faster boards available, but the web driver isn't as great (VGN Flash 75 Extreme)
