I use the Steel Series Arctic 7+ Pro I think it's called? The wireless one with a non-swappable battery, you don't need no swapping, the battery life is amazing, upwards of 30 hours on a single charge. I haven't owned a lot of headset but this one is by far the best I've tried. I hear a lot good stuff about Astros as well.

That's odd, I have a big head as well but with the adjustable velcro band, it's fine, I can wear it all night without issue. I know they have a few model with a similar name though, maybe I got it wrong and we aren't talking about the exact same model, I'm not sure.

No complaints from my friends, they say it sounds clear. Again, I haven't tried a lot of headsets/mics, I know it sounds better than the PlayStation Gold I used to own on console. Some people find the Steel Series app awful, personally I like it, you can play around with sliders and stuff to adjust the sound of both your mic and different inputs through a feature they call Sonar (media, game, voice, etc). I also use the app as a recording device sometimes to review some recent gameplay, set the buffer and review how I die in Tarkov as an example.

Arc Steel Series is another solid option. I have a wireless one I purchased for $100 two years ago and haven't had a single problem. Crisp, clear audio and super comfortable too.

Dunno what headsets you've been using but I'm on my 3rd SteelSeries headset since I've been buying them since 2015. First pair I bought which is the Siberia v2s (iirc) are still working beautifully and I use them with my PS5 when I travel for work. My second pair is an arctis wireless pair, forget the model, but they only got replaced because I was given my current ones as a Christmas present. Zero issues ever.

Got my first Steelseries headphones around 2016, served me well until last year. It still works perfectly only the leather started to scrapping and the cat chewed the microphone (still works tho!). Bought a new Arctis 7+ wireless and I love it. Battery life and wireless range is almost unbelievable, sounds great, comfy. This is one of their cheapest headphones so I guess the expensive ones are even better. The only thing I don't like is the GG software but it's not a big deal.

Audeze Maxwell - Considered one of the best wireless gaming headsets. Popular with music creators as well as for gaming. Mic is reasonably good, though can clip a little. Comes with leather earpads, but they can be replaced easily. Drop + EPOS PC38X - One of the best wired gaming headsets for sound clarity and mic quality. Bass reproduction is a bit muted, which is common for older style EPOS / Sennheiser headsets, and common with open back headphones in general. The mic is essentially the best of any consumer headset you can buy. Generally can only be bought directly from Drop's site. Comes with both cloth and velour earpads. [https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset](https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset) Steel Series Arctis headsets are generally a decent middle ground in terms of decent bass and mic quality. The overall audio quality isn't as good as either the Maxwell or PC38X, but they're closed back so their bass response is more like the Maxwell. And the mic quality is generally better than the Maxwell, but no where near as good as the PC38X. Most (maybe all?) use cloth earpads. Nova Pro Wireless and Nova 9 are both quite good, with the Nova 9 being slightly better in terms of audio clarity and mic quality, but the Pro Wireless has better bass and noise cancelling.

I left the Arctis series to go Nova and I wish I hadn't. The Arctis 7X+ is one of the best midrange headsets I've ever owned. The new Nova style feels like it's for kids heads and ears. So much smaller. Also, have you tried getting a new dongle instead? You could try and locate and 7X+ dongle and pair the headset and see if you get more life out of them?

I just bought Artics 7+ a week ago. I wanted the Nova 7, but I just liked the Artics 7+ more it was on a special as well. Let me tell you, I'm super satisfied. Every time I boot up my PC, I just can't wait to slip my baby on and just start jamming and coding. The sound is crystal clear. The battery lasts so long that I wish they could go dead so that I can charge it green the green light (for me, that means go). They fit like a glove, and I hardly made any adjustments to the ski bands. The cashier who gave them to me was like, "Damn man, you'll enjoy this shit.". Felt like a plug providing a new product. I downloaded COD ww2 and just blasted them while it felt like I'm watching a movie. I'm too afraid to smoke a joint and listen to music with them. I might vanish into the SteelSeries realm...

Stupid. I'm running PEACE equalizer which makes them sound way better but it conflicts with sonar so I guess I'm never using chatmix again. Not sure why it's not just all done in hardware like before

Interesting. Everything I read from Steelseries basically said the knob just changes the chatmix within sonar, so idk how it'd work without it. Might need to give it a try

I find headphone shopping just a case of what you're happy with. I have a pair of arctis 7+ wireless and they're great. Sound is clear, battery life is incredible and the chat mixer actually works. There's a lot of snobbishness over headsets, but 99% of people won't be able to tell the difference lol

Problem i have had with these is the mute button gets really weird after a while. Also these have an issue where switching sound sources will cause the audio to go out. You have to pause and replay to get sound again. Annoying bug. The Arctis 7s do not have this issue, so i would suggestion those.

Would go for the Nova 7P Gen 2, can vouch for both of the Arctis 7+ and Nova 1 gen had them for years and not a single problem. And now as the new Nova 7P Gen 2 is out with updated drivers I would go for those.

i'm also considering switching from a arctis 7+, it's pretty worn out and i hate the sonar software with a fucking passion. My biggest issue would be the lack of a game/chat slider

I have Arctis and while I love the headset, the shit batteries and plastic charger are so annoying. I get basically half a day of life out of the batteries and now a few months in they don't seem to be charging all the way and the headset says the battery is empty and the charger says it's partially full. Not sure I'll ever get a wireless headset that requires manual battery changes ever again.

I got an issue with my Arctis 7+, low sound even on max volume. Headset was bought in Poland. I wrote to them, and after about 2 weeks and destroyed headset (per their request) i got a voucher to get Nova 7 from their official website. So try it, it may work.

Easily the Steel Series Arctis or whatever it's called. Definitely the cheaper one. Hell, I'd go even cheaper. See, the important thing is value. Is the ratio of slightly better sound quality, comfort, style, and design *really* more important than the fact my cat will eat it within 3 months *no matter how expensive or cheap* it is. And do I really want my monthly headset budget to rival an addict's cocaine bill. For the foreseeable 10-15 years, I do not. https://preview.redd.it/h45ixxco1w0g1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ebd7524b2d14370a708d60886f429326f133570

What headset you recommend? Currently have a hypercloud 2 and it´s breaking down as I´ve got it for 8 years now lol, bought the hypercloud 3 and it´s whack, literally feeling pressure on my ears and the microphone is bad. Tried arctic steelseries and even that one felt like pressure on my ears.

I listen to music frequently on my PC and value the higher quality over the annoyances of sonar. I had many times where sonar audio devices flat out wouldn't work properly and required a restart or reinstall to fix, and I got tired of it. I don't find sonar provides any benefit over peace other than chatmix, and I don't care about being able to hear footsteps 2.5% more clearly

I own the Steelseries Arctis 7+ so not quite the same model as you but going wireless was such an upgrade for me, personally. I have a rather small apartment so my connection never drops and I can keep them on literally all the time. The additional features like the EQs, chat mix wheel and 3.5mm pass-through are very useful occasionally. I also have an external mic from my time using the DT990s which I can switch in Discord with a hot key which is also super nice. Can only recommend going wireless to anyone who is willing to sacrifice audio quality for features and freedom.

I have gone through all the premium/best-reviewed ones and the Corsair Virtuoso is the best overall in my experience. I didn't like the weird headband on the Steel Series Arctic line. For me it was not comfortable at all. I had a previous version of the Arctis with the little dock and hot-swap batteries, and I LOVED that battery switch feature.

The Arctis 7s are the best wireless headphones I've ever used. There might be better ones now but the battery never runs out even when I play for a long time, they feel very light on my head and I have not had them break or anything. I'm on my second pair (over like 8 years), and if they break I'll get a third one. I don't know what you mean about low quality.
