Open back Sennheisser (Epos H6 pro or Drop PC38x) shit all over anything. I've had Astro A50s, plus top end of the following : Audio Technica, Turtle Beach, Hyperx, Audeze Penrose, Steelseries, Corsair, plus Beyerdynamic MMX 300. The Epos H6 and PC38X have the most natural tuning and best soundstage for direction audio perception. There's a bunch of online reviews backing them.
r/PUBGConsole • What headphones are ya'll using to hear those footsteps? ->I cycle between two pairs of headphones while gaming, depending on my mood and I use either; Audeze Maxwell or Epos H6 Pro Open + Epos Gsx 300. I'd give you the following recommendations: Audeze Maxwell if you want closed back and wireless, Epos H6 Pro Open if you want open back and wired.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • A quality headset (for gaming) that is not "gaming" crap ->I use the open back version of the Epos H6pro, they make open and closed versions. Epos and Sennheiser have been a collaboration for a while. There is pretty good directional sound from them. Not sure if it is audiophile worthy.
r/sennheiser • Is someone using sennheiser for gaming? ->Check out the Epos H6pro. Epos and Sennheiser collaborate on gaming headsets. It has a removable boom mic and comes in open or closed back options.
r/sennheiser • Is someone using sennheiser for gaming? ->I'm probably not the best person to ask. My only other headset was the pcx550 which finally died on me after 8+ years of use. There are a couple of comparisons on youtube, here is one: https://youtu.be/k6extTalnX4?si=f4dmHy7ZS6ewmVdb I got the H6pro because I wanted wired, open back, and thought I would take advantage of the removable mic. Wired because I didn't want to deal with recharging, open back because I need to be able to hear my surroundings and I heard it helps with fatigue from long usage. In practice I never remove the mic so that has not been a beneficial feature. To me they are comfortable and offer a perceived surround sound feel. I can tell if there is something behind me, right, left, or on the floor above.
r/sennheiser • Is someone using sennheiser for gaming? ->I bought the Epos H6Pro on Amazon for about 85€ some time ago on sale and I find it awesome for gaming. Nice immersive sound. Definitely beats my Sony PS5 Pulse 3D headset which I was using until then.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best cheap gaming headset - Hidden gems or avoid budget options? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS

Senheiser H6Pro has been phenomenal for me. I've had Turtle Beach and Astro both fail on me in <6 months, can't really attest for Steel Series or Razor but I can say Senheiser quality really stands out over anything I've looked at
r/buildapc • Whats the Best Gaming Headset to Buy Right Now? ->For budget they recommend in ears and a separate mic to get better quality for far less. And to be fair, you almost always do. But from a gamer perspective, not an audiophile perspective, headsets are way more convenient. Plus, I think you can get good gaming headsets these days, you just have to be selective. HyperX Cloud IIs and now IIIs were some of the first to be decent. But Epos (which used to be Seinheisser) has some great options (like the H3x for $20 or the Open back H6pro for $80)
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Can somebody explain the whole don't buy gaming headset thing please? ->I love the stealth pro's and I also have the maxwells. I used to own the wired nova pros and have the epos h6. So these at £600 literally have no appeal to me. Maybe £350 to £400 but at £600 I doubt the sound quality is worth that and appears to just about convenience and features.
r/headphones • Arctis Nova Elite - My thoughts so far ->Arctis nova pro is garbage in my opinion it just doesn't have any bass even when you EQ it remains very weak and thin sounding in this area however treble comes across very clear and detailled and the imaging is pretty good if you only play competitive gaming it's a solid option. Though if you like to play story games i recommand something like the maxwell it sounds absolutly amazing but the comfort is as bad as it can be if you are really big person with strong neck and very little ears it might be comfy to you but if not the weight of the headphones will kill the back of your neck in less than 2 hours and the shallow pads will hurt your ears and don't even think about changing pads yeah it fixes the depth issue of the pads but it adds even more weight. So as a all rounder headphones i recommand the alienware pro wireless it sounds almost as good as the maxwell and it's way more comfortable however you ears gets very spicy in about a hour because the space inside the ear cups is not really there but it really never bothers me even now with the very hot weather. Edit: Ah yeah and if you are ever interested by wired headphones you have two others headphones that are worth it the pc38x and the epos H6 pro i don't know how the first sound but it gets a lot of praise around the gaming audio community and if you take the h6 pro make sure to take the open back i've tried the closed back and it's not really good sounding headphones compared to the open back which has more bass more detailled sound and it doesn't have this echoing boomy sound that the closed back have
r/gamingsetups • What gaming headphones are the best for pc. ->EPOS H6PRO Open Acoustic checks all the boxes for you. For wireless, Turtle Beach Atlas Air.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Looking for a good quality, open-back gaming headset with mic for <$150 ->They're effectively the old Sennheiser Gaming One with some tweaks, which were, indeed, great headphones. No idea why Sennheiser stopped making them in favour handing most of the branding to drop and going about doing something else. I've got the GSP 600, PC38X and a H6 Pro - all these are similar and they're all great.
r/buildapc • best gaming headset in 2025 under $200 ->Don't even need the "good" ones. I love my H6Pro set. Clear sound, good weight and comfort, easy af to mute the mic, and being an open back design I can hear shit in the real world that might need more priority than a video game or conference call.
r/Rainbow6 • View on Reddit →Epos h6pro get a pair while you still can.
r/XboxSeriesXlS • View on Reddit →Got accused of wall hacks in R6 Siege countless times using an old Logitech G35 headset. Your setup probably sounds amazing, but you really don't need to spend more than a 200 realistically. Currently using the EPOS H6 Pro for gaming and it yields similar results.
r/ZReviews • View on Reddit →Using either Sennheiser Game Zeros or EPOS H6 Pro
r/simracing • View on Reddit →I have found that the EPOS H6Pro (both closed and open) can be had on the cheaper side, and I prefer them to the PC38X as someone that wears glasses , as they have more swivel/pivot and deeper cups, and less of a clamp. They're also very solid for positional audio, and overall great audio quality with a better build. That's not to say the 38X is a slouch, as they're fantastic, I personally prefer the H6Pro. The Blacksharks are comfy and lightweight, decent sound and mic quality, and pretty well priced. I am not a fan of Razer's plasticky build quality on them.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →The Drop EPOS PC38X is still arguably one of the best gaming headsets you can buy. I also like the EPOS H6Pro series.
r/buildapc • View on Reddit →2 questions: Did the [drop.com](http://drop.com) sale end between this post and now? If so pretty funny. How is the battery life? I own a different Sennheiser EPOS headset with abyssmal battery life (owned for less than a year and we're talking 6 hours) and the LOUDEST ever voice that will suddenly scream at 3am "CHARGE BATTERY".
r/buildapc • View on Reddit →I've been waiting for the PC38Xs to drop back down to ~$120 on Amazon, which according to the camel they do a lot. While waiting, I read a lot about the Epos H6Pros, which I picked up for ~$80. I like these a lot, but still want to try the 38Xs.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • View on Reddit →I'm not sure if you can still buy them. The Epos H6pro is the best wired headset I've owned. You get an open or closed back option. Link it up with the Dolby Atmos equaliser and you're cooking with gas. I got mine for 80 £. Best money I've spent in gaming tbh. The build quality is great as well. You can just plug it into the controller and play.

r/XboxSeriesXlS • View on Reddit →As a big audio fan that's not always the truth. Yes you'll get better experience on the audio side but build quality isn't always the truth. Sennheiser for instance has had lots of issues with the batteries for their wireless products, Sony and pioneer for instance had insanely awful hinges on anything that wasn't into the $400+ range. Hinges are some of the big issues (same with earcups) when it comes to what breaks and you have to remember getting more quality of a product doesn't mean those elements aren't still flawed, many high end pairs of headphones for instance aren't meant to be constantly taken off your head or moved around with heavy. (Very high end headphones aren't great for gaming btw, they are detailed in ways that don't get taken advantage of and require high end amps to properly utilize and also aren't always meant for long sessions, also you gotta realize the environment your in) This is coming from someone with numerous high end headsets, headphones, has gotten to demo and use headphones that are way beyond any logical price point even. With that said many of these companies make also gaming headsets now which are usually eq'd specially more for gaming (the way a driver is set up is very much different for use and what you're primarily listening to) now with that said the blackshark is nice for long periods since it's so light and doesn't overheat you also decent mic. Sennheiser had some good with the Epos line but they got rid of them and don't support them anymore (they sold off the line) and there was some issues with consistency in them however they were great (I owned multiple pairs in the line and love the h3 hybrid and h6pro (still have them too), however sound wise the beyerdynamic mmx300 is a lot better (it's that beyer style of sound that's more clinical just as a heads up and you will need to get a decent amp though you can reuse even an older turtle beach or Astro one if you want one more geared towards gaming)

r/buildapc • View on Reddit →If I may, all of the above is solid advice but... also consider the Sennheiser PC38x from DROP (in all black). Very lightweight and a good mix. I use these as my travel pair, and have taken them to compete in several LANs. https://drop.com/buy/drop-pc38x-gaming-headset Or the EPOS H6Pro's in Open or Closed, as it originated from Sennheiser. These are my current daily drivers at home. Same headset more or less, but fancy & has a removable mic. https://a.co/d/2Pr3HyI As for me, I prefer to not use a headset mic. So I utilize a Elgato Wave 3 mic, with a low profile arm on my desk. It's a little pricey, but Elgato have a whole line of accessories like shock mounts and pop filters too, but ymmv. https://www.elgato.com/us/en/p/wave-3-black
r/ArcRaiders • View on Reddit →Ahhh cheers. The localised site for my region doesn't have them on sale. Fair enough on the battery but since I experienced the freedom of wireless I can't go back.
r/buildapc • View on Reddit →I got a basically new pair of Game Ones as "used" last year because they didn't have a cable. Grabbed a cable and gave them to my kid who uses them for Fortnite and loves them. I've tried them, and love them as well. Also have tried the PC38X, and they're fantastic as well, but I ended up going with the EPOS H6Pro Open. They're so comfy, and sound so good. Either those or my HD6XX with a Modmic. If you love your Game Ones, treat yourself to a new set of the Dekoni Audio pads for them. They're comfy and maintain the sound signature.
r/sennheiser • View on Reddit →If your want wireless, I prefer Razer but the bass is deep and they are comfortable. Wired Epos h6 pro. Best headset I've used for gaming
r/gamers • View on Reddit →EPOS H6 pro. Very comfortable, great sound quality and looking at the image you posted, should be in your price range
r/gamers • View on Reddit →The EPOS H6Pro Open have been floating around for $60ish since EPOS exited gaming, and are essentially on-par with the PC38X. Both have their particular strengths, but they're pretty close overall.
