I use the a10s and I don't have much of a problem with them. I just tweaked some audio settings on my PS5

I was in charge of development of the A10s back in the day, they were pretty much indestructible, had a lot of fun at E3 abusing them in press interviews, Not sure what happened since then since Logi took over, imagine the latter generations got compromised in quality to make more $$

Short answer: See which Astro Gaming headset is in your budget. I got the A10 (wired and pastel lavender) and love it, but my standards are low and I just wanted cool headphones. Haven't heard any complaints about the microphone from friends on calls. Longer answer: Most Gaming Headsetsâ„¢ are overpriced while ranging from mid to bad. Because if it says Gamer, people won't look any further. Getting decent headphones and a good mic will give you better audio quality, for the mic in particular.

I use a separate mic & headphones, but I have the HyperX Quadcast 2 as my mic and KZ ZSN Pro X as my in-ears. I've used the Logitech G Pro X for a while before swapping to this system, however the headphones got heavy on my head after very long gaming sessions, but they were comfy! I go back to them if I need wireless :). I also have a pair of Astro A10s I use for my PS5. They are super lightweight and the audio is good, and the mic isn't terrible.

I had a10s for years back in the day when logitech didn't own astro, they were GREAT. Bought my girl a pair of a10s and not even 2 months they were defective... got a replacement and not even 2 months with that one they were defective. A buddy also got a defective pair. As a a40 user, I would stay away from a10s. Hope this helps.

Astro a10 is a really solid option. I used it for several years and a few friends still use them and haven't had or heard any complaints

I ran a pair of Astro A10s for years that did just fine, make sure you use Dolby access to make the list of them.

Hi, The A40 TR Headset, A30 Wireless Headset (can be used wired), and the A10 Headset are all available. However, if you are looking for the best audio from your console, the A50 X would be a great choice as it supports 24-bit audio quality. Is there a reason you prefer wired headsets?

Hi, The A30 Wireless Headset and A50 GEN5 and X use LIGHTSPEED wireless technology. I'll be honest, you'll need to be very good to tell any difference between them and the A40 TR Headset as the latency really isn't that high even on wireless. I used to have my A40 TR Headset as my daily driver but have since switched over to the A50 X for my Xbox and my PC and it matches up perfect to everything on my display from gaming to YouTube, etc. For battery life, the A50 X and GEN5 offer 24 hours which I think it perfect for a single session and you can dock it in between to top it up. You can also use it with a charging cable to play and charge at the same time. Obviously it's all down to preference, but wireless headsets have come a long way.

You're looking at absolute trash. Even on sale those are overpriced for how terrible they are. Literal Temu quality shit sold by third party Chinese sellers on marketplaces like Walmart and Amazon. They're so cheap and priced so high that they can afford to constantly be "on sale" for 50%+ off and send you a second one for "free" if you [leave a positive review](https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/cg1y6x/free_gift_from_beexcellent_is_this_for_real/). You are not gonna get anything particularly good with a budget that low, but Astro A10s are decent for $40. Logitech G432 or G435 are pretty good and can regularly be found for around $40 when they're on sale (which they currently are).

Bought a pair of Astro A10s 8 yrs ago, finally kicked the bucket 2 weeks ago, best $100 ive ever spent. My partner bought the Gen 2s last year and they are so awful compared to the 1st Gen. I ended up getting Steel Series Arctis Nova 5

That's the gen 1 so no need to worry, the gen 2s look hideous anyway so you can spot them from a mile off 😂 (Google will show exactly what I mean lol)

A10 was the best headset I've had. Got it in 2017, the mic finally broke (physically, it got cut) just a few months ago. Quality audio and good endurance. I went to Gen 2 and it doesn't quite fit my head the same and everybody complains that my mic volume it too low despite the monitoring being on max.

The fact that no one is saying [Drop PC38x](https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset) is sad. I thought this community was finally understanding good audio. There are definitely better options these days, but for the price, quality, and for a headset, it's still very unbeatable. I recommend IEMs or audiophile grade headphones paired with an external mic like the Fifine mics for $50 or less over a headset, but if you specifically want a headset, go with the PC38X. IEMs go for Truthear Hexa (specifically for R6) with the Dunu S&S eartips for a better soundstage or the new Truthear Zero Blue2 if you think the nozzle will be too big for your ear. Then again, pair it with a Fifine mic. For headphones I don't have anything under $200 that I could recommend but generally stick to Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, then AudioTechnica, Fiio and I believe either Moondrop or Kiwi Ears just released a really good headphone for less than $80. Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser are priorities. Once more pair it with an external mic like the Fifine mics. Hope this helps. I really don't recommend any of these gamer headphones in the current year when you can literally get audiophile grade audio for less than or for the same price. 100% avoid the ASTRO a10. The worst pain a headset has given me and the audio is very muddy. If you must go with gamer headsets for some reason, HyperX Cloud IIs are peak gamer headsets.

They're terrible. Literally Temu trash. Good headphones plus the DualSense mic are definitely better than this, and that goes for all the GameStop branded headsets. That said, there really aren't any half decent headsets at that price point. If you move up to the $30 to $65 range you can find a lot of good stuff like Astro A10, Logitech G432 or G435, HyperX Cloud III or Cloud Stinger 2, or SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1. But keep in mind that these are still budget headsets with the quality to match. They'll beat out the DualSense mic, but might not match the audio quality of your headphones depending on what you have. Edit: Also worth noting that everyone who has said anything positive about these so far have a vested financial interest in convincing people to buy this garbage. Stonkbros love anything GS puts out regardless of quality.

Iv had so many headsets cheap 10$ ones to 350$+ ones and to be honest none compared in comfortability and sound quality to my 50$ Astro A10s. I have Stealth 700 gen 2 rn and before these I had steel series pros and I still think the A10s are better in every way besides the wire.

I personally really like astros, a10s should be around $60 USD last I checked (they are wired as far as I'm aware tho) but you could always go for the A20s they are wireless and have great sound quality and I think the mic is pretty good, could be wrong since I'm not the one hearing it but I've never had anyone in my games complain about my mic. They should be around $120 USD

I have some really nice headphones, I also have some Astro A10's and I absolutely love them. I use them mostly for sim racing and it sounds awesome and immersive. I've used them with my ps5 a few times as well and the built in mic is handy. Use case matters, most gaming headsets are gonna have way too much bass which for gaming, especially single player, is fun. It's not like you're gonna be mixing music or doing any critical listening on them
