I love my GT3 Pro. I feel absolutely safe on it. Brakes stop on a dime. 0-30 is 2.6 seconds if I need it to. Can ride smoothly with one hand, that's how good the balance is. I've rode it in snow, rain, etc. I love it. Already put over 1500 miles on it. https://preview.redd.it/me1kyu0324uf1.jpeg?width=1670&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f76f927b6f20009cb129bf185ca654cfff041737

There isn't one. So many different scooters to fulfill the needs of the rider. For arguments sake, I'd say the Segway Max G3 and GT3 PRO are some of the most feature packed scooters out there. If I were in the market for an upgrade (mind u I really love my Burn E 2), I would get a GT3 Pro. I think it embodies everything a high powered electric scooter should have, while being stylish to boot. A close 3rd would be the Nami Klima. It's damn near perfect (to me)

Brand in general, I'd go with Segway and Nami. With Segway being the de facto champ, but I like Nami because of how easily I can order parts from either Ali express, or Facebook. Tech wise Segway got it. I'd give like 4 scooters a 10/10; Nami Klima (burn e is awesome but I think the Klima encompasses what I think the ideal fast scooter should be, without being as enormous as its big brother) Segway GT3 pro. I mean other than maybe a bigger battery, that scooter has all the bells and whistles for the average person Teverun Fighter supreme ultra (not the 7260r). Fat ass battery in a 11 inch scooter. Doesn't get better than that. I'm sure if this model has it, but some have their own security system built in (key fob alarm) not sure if the wheels lock up like with the GT3 pro. Segway max G2 (maybe the G3 but time will tell) that scooter is a tank, nuff said. At the end of the day, the more mechanically inclined you are, the less stuff like ratings matter. As long as it has parts available, and a relatively easy to work with system, you'll be golden.

Burn E 2 Max. Pretty light for what it can do. Teverun Fighter Supreme is you're looking for max range while still being relatively manageable (11 inch wheels) The GT3 Pro is the Segway I always wanted... just too late because I already have a Burn E 2. Honorable mention to the Apollo Pro and the new Phantom. They have a ip66 rating. That's really important if you live in a wet area. As you can see I favor unique and performance scoots. But at that price point, a lot of them look the part.

I like my main scooter to be large, GT3 all the way. The Pro if you can hold out. Either way all of those scooters are loaded. I just really hope for the gt3 pro that they have a boost mode that stays on even if you go down a mode and is available at all states of charge. Other than that, it's pretty sweet.

This is not true, this is a newer model and even the gt2 did not have widespread catastrophic issues. Segway outsells random brands 10 fold, by this logic do not buy Iphones because when I google Iphone problems more show up then Infinix brand phones.

Gt3 is a higher quality scooter but the Raptor has a larger battery for more range. Range anxiety is a real thing so if you care about range get the Raptor.

The Segway has more features and a nicer look, it just depends on what you value more. For me I may lean Raptor for the range even though its more of a "parts bin" scooter.

What was the temp when you were riding not the low or the feel like wind chill but the real temperature at that time? Either way sounds like your battery is dead, on Wednesday I went out when it was around 28-30f did 15 miles on my Max G30 and had 25% left. My Max is over 5 years old 5000 miles. The ZT3 has the same battery as the G3 but the frame is more robust for heavier riders someone posted a pic comparing the rear of the frame was at least 2x the thickness on the ZT3. GT3 is not worth it battery is too small for the price, if you want GT3 get the Pro though it cost a bit.

Man I don't think I would give it a 10/10 but I've been very happy with my Segway GT3 Pro. It's just a solid, comfortable machine and while I wouldn't call it portable I can keep it in the back of my outback and pull it out when i need it It also handles being in the grass on the side of roads like a champ and I have no issues hoping curbs and such. I'm very hard on mine and frequently hit speed bumps and hop curbs pretty roughly and haven't had any broken parts or damaged tires I think the only argument against Segway is that there are cheaper alternatives with more bells and whistles potentially. Personally my must haves would be 1. Full suspension 2. At least 11-inch tires 3. At least a 30 mph top speed to keep up with the traffic on the 25 mph surface roads here 4. Can handle light "off road" on grass and gravel

To be honest I just test rode all 3 of them at the Segway LA store today. None of them are dual motor. When I tested them on the hill near by they all lost significant power quickly bc the single rear motors were over working. They also dropped a lot of battery during a 10 minute test ride each between 8-12%. They're only going to get around 15-18 miles of actual range based on your weight too. Also once below 60% the GT3 couldn't even get up to 25mph, and I only weigh 180. Given where you live, you should consider only dual motor scooters.

The GT3 did good until the battery dropped below 60%. The top speed of 31 was only achieved when the battery was above 85% also. For the money it wasn't the best, and it's also not a scooter that you can really store anywhere it's very big and heavy.

If you don't need high speed (>25mph) not long range (>20miles) - get the GT3. If you want 30+mph or longer range than that I would hold out and preorder the GT3 pro for an extra $700 or whatever it costs. You will much prefer either GT model over the other two options for riding - not even close. Of course this is assuming you are good with a heavy scooter that lacks much portability.

I have a little more than 400miles on the GT3 Pro and really like it. My commute is a 34 mile round trip with some hills so I cap the speed at 25mph to get the range. I cap the charge at 95% and usually get home with 25-35% remaining. I don't see the speed drop until I'm below 20% or so, even then it will still go 18-20mph. I'm 275lbs geared up, so I don't get the range advertised but I am happy with it. I'm less excited with the controls, they are hard to operate by feel. The twist throttle I think takes up too high a % of the grip length. Grips are smooth and can be slippery with leather gloves and can spin on the bar under pressure. You can easily replace the left but the right is more complicated. I wish I could swap with a standard lock grip, larger and with some texture. I would like to customize the acceleration curves and have more freedom of adjusting the different speed modes. Two tools needed for suspension preload adjustment since they used different ring types on the front/rear. I was able to get the preload in a decent range for my weight. It's hard to judge the front rebound adjustment over such a short stroke. I'm still playing with that clicker. You can get a u-lock thru the frame members at the front of the deck. Much better for security than thru the bolt-on loop over the suspension and better than any other scooter I have seen. It is an absolute tank. I only plan to carry it once a year, to put it in the basement for winter storage. I will occasionally load it into a car, but that's going to be about it. If you need to carry it up any stairs on a regular basis, all of these big battery capacity scoots will suck but even a 90lb scoot will be easier to manhandle than this beast. You do get the reliability of a steel tube chassis, though the stem is non-ferrous. It is probably an aluminum alloy but I don't see the usual design flaws of small radiused rectangular cut outs that concentrate stress and lead to premature failures.

I'm pretty sure you can buy all Segway parts on one of the Chinese websites. I bought a whole throttle grip for my gt3 pro so I could cut the connector off and use it to wire my thumb throttle. I also got the x light in Amazon from the zt3 pro to put in my gt3. All brake pads are on Amazon for cheaper than Segway. Last week I swapped my g3 battery with the non pro gt3 battery. Bought from segways site and it gives 50% more range. We hit 33miles in sport mode in DC. The only thing I'm getting from my warranty with Segway is gonna be motors or batteries and controllers if they fail. Everything else is gonna be on you to get.

I live in Philly and work in various parts of the city. If the place has elevator I'll use the Segway gt3 because it's heavy if other place don't have an elevator I'll use the cunfon rz800. It folds and it's not too heavy.

You seen one post of a dude that got into a wreck and his stem cracked, quit fabricating things. If you rode a dual motor 2000w you wouldn't be trying to compare it with a g30 right now. The GT3 pro cost almost 3k so nice comparison. At that price point you could get an actual enthusiast scooter with a 72 volt Samsung battery.

The ZT3 is awesome and you will love it unless you ever try riding a GT3 in which case you will be kicking yourself hard. The value of the ZT3 is great but the ride quality of the GT series destroys basically everything else on the market (even significantly more expensive scooters people are recommending). I think people get caught up on the speed and specs but in my opinion heavier individuals should focus on ride quality above other features and Segways are top tier in that regard. Nami is the only real competition in that category.

Honestly, the GT3 and its not really close. In fact, I would suggest waiting for the GT3 Pro even that additional cost because you'll likely regret not getting for its performance advantages over the GT3. I really love the designs of the Segway GT scooters, but find their performance somewhat lackluster. I really wanted to pull the trigger on the GT3 but its performance (top speed, acceleration and range) were barely better than my 3 year-old Mercane Jubel and 2x the cost. Sadly ended up going with a Dualtron Victor Luxury but already feeling like I shouldve held out for the GT3 Pro because the GT3 ride quality is amazing.

I haven't looked too closely into modifying the controls yet. That might be a winter project. I find the only control that is easy to find with looking is the bell. Everything else requires a little fumbling around to find without looking. Maybe I'll build up that muscle memory over time. I don't understand why they didn't just copy motorcycle turn signals, I'm very familiar finding those without taking my eyes off the road. This seems to be a common thing for scooters and it may improve at the market matures.

When Segway actually prices their scooters to comparables in the market, then maybe they can be included. Right now, every one of their offerings is priced at a tier higher than it should be when they aren't on sale. Certain 52v models are priced as though they are running on a 60v and sometimes even 72v system. It makes no sense. The battery capacity is anemic compared to the competition. And people still slurp Segways' ass like they are the end all be all of scooters. I truly don't understand it. Just look at what the GT2 sells for at full retail and tell me with a straight face that I should consider it "good" for the price. Now you have the GT3, and it's the same BS. Base model GT3 is a 48v system and 50kph max speed for $2500 CAD ($1825 USD). What a joke. And they underspecced it on purpose to push you to the GT3 pro, which is (Finally) a 72v system, but still only 80kph max speed, for $4500 CAD (3280 USD). Why on earth would I buy that when I can get an InMotion RS, NAMI Burn E3 Max, Kaabo Wolf, Yume Predator for the same price or less? Nevermind the plethora of off brand 72v scooters that blow it out of the water for almost half the price.

All true. Generally you should halve any range you see listed and consider top speeds with a grain of salt when you are a heavier rider. The GT series holds that speed longer than most but it should be considered a 25mph scooter for larger guys and having around 20ish miles of range. If you need more I'd look at other options at that price range or hold out for the GT3 pro which will cost a good amount more. My only disagreement is that the GT series is known for being a great hill climber even with a single motor. It beats many dual motor scooters in that area and should still work very well under load keeping good speed.

Depends on how you interpret "perfect 10". Could mean absolutely perfect, or just the best for a specific use-case. For me, the Apollo Pro (2023) is near perfect because I live in Seattle and use my scooter to commute. I care about: * Rain (high IP rating) * Hills (power) * Bad roads (big tires/suspension) * Visibility (it's dark here) Only downsides: * No BMS control for max SoC * Built-in navigation would be nice but minor issue * Charger is bulky, takes up lots of backpack space Quick thoughts on other scooters I've tried: Segway GT2: * Love it almost as much as the apollo pro but IP rating is a blocker for me * Slightly more stable at high speed than Apollo Pro * Poor regen feel * Half-twist throttle makes it unsafe for new riders Segway GT3 Pro: * Regret buying this, hate riding it * Acceleration curve is scary and not adjustable so expect to be constantly throwing your weight forward and back * Traction control seems broken * Could be great with software update but currently feels unsafe * Might be fine for heavier riders, but at 155 lbs in wet/bumpy conditions, avoid * Turn signals don't auto-cancel * Great BMS * Nice ride on stable ground * Screen is excellent Roadrunner RX7: * Similar issues to GT3 Pro * Bad acceleration curve * Power adjustment reduces top speed unnecessarily * Manual turn signal switch instead of auto-cancelling button

So far so good. I really like it a lot better than the G3. Do I think the gt3 pro is the best you can buy? No but it's really great for its price point and the features you get from it. My second choice was the Mars gtr, but that's an additional 800 bucks for a few miles more range and a little stronger motors. That 2700 price point is very good.
